Finally Multiplayer, amazing simply amazing. NO matter what online game you play you WILL have campers and glitchers its a fact of life but the game is still fun. My old favorite demolition returns and i have been addicted to Kill confirmed. I really like the new killstreaks and have yet to really experiment with them but from what i have seen they are awesome just like this game. BEST IN THE SERIES… Expand

    Great game. people knew it's CoD and wasn't going to change much yet still going to complain, in the end it's your fault for hyping yourself up so much it is fun though.

    This game is flat out awesome. It doesn't mean it's everyones tastes, but if you've loved any COD game, this one is even better. Classes are way more customizable, level design is very fresh and new with way more cover. New game modes are amazing.

    I don't know why people hate on mw3 but it is one of their best game they ever made
    the singleplayer is a little bit short but there is a lot of action
    and the multiplayer is very adicting

    The best thing about this is the multiplayer. It is faster and feels better than all the previous Cod games. The maps are really good with plenty of opportunities to kill.     The Campaign is short, but the story is still really good. It helps introduce the variable weapon types and game play needed to get players ready for online play. The changes to the online class customization, support options and ladder ranking is really solid. All around great sequel to MW2.

    This is by far the best call of duty game to date. It's multiplayer experience is arguably the best in any shooting game. I like the larger maps and how they attempted to make it more team based. I also greatly appreciated the addition of strike packages because of the variety that they add. It definitely is an innovative game in the genre of first person shooters.     This game is everything I was hoping for and more. The campaign is great but the multiplayer is where is truly shines. Not sure what's up with all the negative reviews - this seems really fishy to me - perhaps some disgruntled Battlefield3 fans. Anyways, this game is a must have. Enjoy.

    What can I say about this game. Wonderful, spectacular, cinematic and many more things, can still remember the first time I played Call of Duty was an experience our glorious why I say that Call of Duty is not a simple fps he is the king of all graphs is both recycled or not so I know the game is so wonderful but leaves you with so much that I like to ask more.and biz

    It seems that quite a few people are spamming the score with bad reviews. I think it is a great game. The sound is pretty amazing, slightly repetitive, but amazing nonetheless. Gameplay handles smoothly, and another great campaign are just some of the things that make is an interesting game to play.

After the departure of so many employees from Infinity Ward including the heads of the studio, I am sure I wasn't alone in wondering if this game would be able to reach the bar set by its predecessors. It may be fashionable to hate on this game, but if you enjoy the genre, if you finished MW2 wanting more, here it is. Multiplayer is moreFun game, the developers know their audience. After having played every COD game developed by IW since the original, I was certainly upset that the final chapter of the MW series wouldn't have many of the original guys working on it, but as much as I dislike Activision, they gave this game enough resources to do it justice. It was almost an "all hands on deck" situation it seems. As much as I detest the pace of the release schedule, they have earned a bit of respect from me for not dropping the ball on this game.… Expand

    Fantastic game. At first I was a bit overwhelmed with the new maps and what not and thought that MW3 didn't live up to my expectations, but after playing for a bit and learning to navigate my way efficiently through the game I can say that I am thoroughly enjoying it. Real shame on the low rating, I truly can't under-stand why. Compared to black ops, this game is absolute gold.

    Exactly what I was hoping for, love it, best ever of the series. With the new additions, and the fact they are pretty much the only ones who allow 4 player offline splitscreen is a game in itself. I love that they left that in.

    I went out and got it at the midnight release and played it for a straight 7 hours through the morning and loved it all. I have no idea why people can say the game is that bad. I personally love it more than MW2 which I loved a lot.     It's awesome I suppose! I don't really want to right a review, because I'm awesome. But the game is alright. It has theatre mode (which is awesome) and two bolt action sniper rifles and some new modes and game types. It's actually a really good game.

    I'm your classic COD Hater. i really don't like Military FPS i think that a Video Game is meant to give you a sense of fantasy and Military Shooters don't do that for me but MW 3 has managed to grasp me in a way other military shooting titles haven't. I've played BF 3 and Medal of Honor as well as resistance but MW 3 really did Military FPS a great justice and I'll recommend it to anyone.

    First off it's smooth. Super smooth, a 60 frames per second makes this game look crystal clear. A little sharper graphics, that are tough to spot at first, but once you see the first car explode you will know exactly what I mean. Buildings collapse when you hit them with a missile from the chopper,    This is the purest form of Modern Warfare. The one we've been waiting for.
    Here's why.

A little sharper graphics, that are tough to spot at first, but once you see the first car explode you will know exactly what I mean. Buildings collapse when you hit them with a missile from the chopper, balconies collapse when you man the mini-gun. The water looks real, trees and grass blow as a storm approaches, and I actually stopped more than once to look around at the sky and the sunset. It was that beautiful. Bigger scale. MW was about a few guys in Russia, MW2 was about defending the eastern states in the U.S. MW3 is about the entire world under attack. And you feel it. Cool set pieces for firefights that are multi-level transitional. Not just where you've got guys on the second story (and stay there) and guys down low (and stay there) you've got people running up and down stairs using the environment. One time i saw an enemy running towards me, and I was thinking "what an idiot this dude's gonna get shot in the face, stupid A.I.," only to see him actually running up to a car, he opens the car door, and hides behind it! I was blown away.
    A beef i had with Black Ops was that sometimes it felt like a shooting gallery. You would walk forward it would "trigger" the enemy spawn, they line up in a row, and you kill 'em, and move on. But here i felt like there are people everywhere and all the time! And there's always this rushed feeling of progression, where if you try to camp and kill everybody someone yells, "C'mon we gotta keep moving!" So you didn't feel like you had to kill everyone, but that the mission was more important. A major improvement is the feel and sounds of the guns. They feel great, and I can't tell if it's extra vibration in the controller or what, but it's different. It's crisp. I love breach scenes. i swear I'd buy a game where all you do it breach every room.
    Now before you declare me a CoD fanboy, remember, this is all just the campaign I've been talking about! I haven't even touched the multiplayer or the special ops missions/survival. Those are what will ensure that you will never need to ditch the game just because the campaign is over.
    This game is loaded and if you can put aside the "it's cool to hate on modern warfare" fad that seems to be all the rage, you'll be blown away at this masterpiece. I love Modern Warfare 3 and I don't care who knows it.

    A very good game again how much fun it was Call of Duty 4, has the same graphic of a Modern Warfare 3 with minor adjustments, but that does not diminish the good. The multiplayer is more fun and much more variety in weapons and customization. Excellent game.

    There is a growing awareness amongst even the most complacent video game fans about the industry at the moment. I believe with Modern Warfare 3, Sledgehammer have underestimated the intelligence of fans of the series and moved into exploitation territory. People really have been taken for fools and I would argue that this is an ethically questionable moment in this new era of blockbuster video games.

    Got the game at midnight love all of it so far. The game is a huge upgrade from the past modern warfare's without getting rid of what we all love. The first maps you get have been pretty good. Do hope to get a few classic maps in the map pack. Love this game!

    I think the multiplayer is better than MW2, and the maps are varied enough to warrant buying this one. I think many are overly critical of this game. I think the Elite helps it out too, more than just getting everyones money. The weapon leveling system is good too, and Special Ops puts it over the top when you dont feel like playing multiplayer.

The best part about this game is that it's smooth... if you like to move around a lot, it's easy to stay focused without everything being a blur. Also, the weapons are not bad at all-- it drives me nuts when all the weapons feel the same, but these have distinct personalities... you will instantly notice the difference between an M16 and AK47 (the COD games have always been pretty good at that though). And I'm loving the maps... the layout, the size, the atmosphere... it's mostly top notch (with just a little complaint, below). Connectivity and matchmaking have been very very good. It's a BIG improvement on MW2 and a slight improvement over Black Ops. Out of about 100 games, I only had a few that were "two-bar" connections. If you see that you have a two-bar connection, leave the lobby at the end of that match and join a different one... you will struggle.

    So here's the bad: Maps have a lot of crap in them... stuff that ruins your flow and is easy to get stuck on. Also, if you run into a team that knows what it's doing and you just have strangers on your team... well, good luck. I'm not sure if it's just that there are a lot of people new to the COD series playing, but it seems like the gap between good players and new players is really really wide. In situations like that, if you like to play the objective like I do, then it's pretty much something you'll have to sacrifice in order to stay alive. On that point, checking lobby leaderboards to see teammate/opponent skill has become a guessing game. Black Ops had the points-per-minute stat which really told you how much of an effect someone would have on the game, but now it just lumps overall kills (which would be more helpful if we could see deaths at the same time) along with overall score and other useless facts. Headquarters is a bit more frustrating also... you won't get points for helping capture the headquarters (ok, well you get 10 or something), but only the first person there gets credit, which is just stupid. Even if I'm usually the first person there, my teammates need incentive to help me take it. Lastly, the guys that I usually play with are all hurting in the kill/death area, for some reason. Fair enough it looks similar to previous games, but so what, that's the nature of this business, building on the good stuff, and making it better!     I love it ! Its exactly what you expect after MW2. I only buy the IW Titles, and this one never let me down. My friends and i playing the MP for hours and its even more fun than the campaign. The only complain is, there is no Hans Zimmer music... Hope that MW4 will have Hans back!

    Best COD ever! This game is not just better than black ops, it annihaltes everything about it. MW3 takes the COD formula and redefines it with amazing tweaks and the amazing integration of elite. This is a must buy for any shooter fan.

    Definitely exceeded my expectations. The only thing I would like to see is a 4 player co-op mode. Special ops is fun and all, but a 4 player survival mode would have been a welcome addition. Not a big fan of the heart beat sensor either.

    It's everything you expect from Call of Duty. You have the campaign, spec-ops and multiplayer. After some hands on time with the multiplayer it'es easier to see that his game is much much better than BLOPs ever was. It's at the very least on par with MW2, although Call Of Duty is clearly a sinking ship and activision need to start looking at reinventing the series.

    I don't understand the negative, except due to the BF3 competition. MW3 is a fantastic game. Finally perfecting the multiplayer aspect and giving us a payoff with all the time we have spent prestiging the last 5 years. The maps are open and broad. The SP is what you expect from a CoD game. As far as CoD goes, its the best one to date.

There aren't any I really hope to avoid, but there aren't any fantastic maps like terminal or highrise in MW2. They are less sniper friendly, but that's a good change for the majority. Not because Im trying to rank up or collect, but because I can't get enough of it.     Disregard the haters. If you're a gamer and you love FPS games this is a must play. There is a reason COD games are the best selling games around. MW3 has nonstop action and fast paced, addictive multi-player. Some people feel that the multi-player hasn't changed but it doesn't have to. It has been refined to perfection and I would put it up against the BF3s and Halos any day.

    It's a 9, but gets an extra 1 on here for the trolling going on. Think about it. Even if you think the game is a "glorified expansion pack," you are complaining about getting a killer deal: 16 multiplayer maps, survival mode, spec-ops mission and campaign, for $60 retail? At DLC prices, that stuff would separately cost $150 at least.

    I agree with NINJA below... The call of duty franchise is the way it is for a reason. MW3 is a huge improvement from the previous releases. The campaign's graphics and story line were an improvement and the multiplayer exceeded expectations... the only issue I have is the lack of ability to dive to prone and that ELITE is all jacked up... but it is a fantastic game!!!

    I love this game because its a mix of my 2 favorite games cod4 and mw2 the feel and the look. It feels nice and it plays nice. The connection is very nice I usually have 3-4 bars very rarely have 1-2 bars because the servers are great etc.

    Once again I am impressed with COD. I've explored other MMO and nothing even comes close to COD. I highly recommend this to anyone. They added new guns, new care packages and a highly addicted survival mode. And the maps are just insane. They're huge with so many nooks and crannies. You find out something new every game you play.

The campaign, although a tad bit too familiar at times presents the great feel that we have come to expect from an Infinity Ward game, with every bit of thrill and intensity that has always been there. Haven't gone into spec ops much, but i did a few with my friend last night and my only complain was that most of the first missions (only unlocked the missions through the level 5 ones) had a majority of them with time limits, thisI can't deny being a COD fanboy, but i love this game. It put a great ending to my favorite shooter trilogy and is continuing to satisfy my multiplayer hunger. Haven't gone into spec ops much, but i did a few with my friend last night and my only complain was that most of the first missions (only unlocked the missions through the level 5 ones) had a majority of them with time limits, this angers me because i got 100% of the achievements on mw2 and for the spec ops, the hardest missions to complete on veteran were any of the missions involving juggernauts, followed closely by missions with time limits. Veteran can be made easy if you take it slow, but time limits make it increasingly more difficult

    Also, for those complaining innovation, what do you want them to do? Anything that Activision innovates you'll just end up **** about being stupid. We all need to learn to be satisfied with something less than perfect.    … Expand

    this is a amazing game. i have played many call of duty games and this is the best one yet! i dont now why the user score is so low it is a great game for playing alone and a even better one for playing with friends :) you neeeeed to buyy thiss gameee

    This game is the pinnacle of my existence. I have never played anything so groundbreaking or so deep in my entire life. It is innovative and unique. You should buy this game.

    Best COD to date, way better than MW2, that game sucks compared to MW3, the pointstreak system and the strike packages are the best thing to happen to the COD series. im happy with this game and most negative reviews are a bunch of BF fanboys. it truely is better than MW2

Is it a 10? Probably not, but it's close and definitely the best of the series. People who purchased and enjoy the game for what it is (a mindless, yet highly addictive and well-polished action arcade shooter) need to help balance out all the negativity surrounding this release. Because one thing it is not: a 0.

    Truly the most polished game to date. Excellent single player with even more epic set pieces. Great Multiplayer which has improved in many areas. Spec Ops is the crowning achievement this time around with an amazing amount of depth and fun to be had. Overall outstanding game which I will be playing till the next one arrives. Well done to everyone involved.

Explosives have been significantly reduced while not being rendered completely useless, and above all, no constant grenade launchers flying across the map. Bravo IW & Sledgehammer, I will be playing this game for many months. Don't let the negative comments from angry little kids affect you, you have made a great game.     For the review. The multiplayer seems more fast paced to me because the way the maps were designed. I really like the point streak system. This is very friendly to new gamers also. The graphics seem slightly improved from Mw2 not really noticeable, but thats not that bad of a thing. I thought Mw2 graphics were fine in the first place. There is a lot of customization for your guns and more guns than all the rest of the game.

    My only con I have is sometimes the spawn is not so great and you get spawn killed.

    Other than that another great COD that will be stealing hours away from my life.    … Expand

    CoD Modern Warfare 3 is basically like Modern Warfare 2 but with a little bit better graphics and a the story continues. It's a great story and I really enjoyed it, so if you liked MW2 you should get MW3 too. It is much better than Black Ops! And what Ninja said is absolutely true. Never change a winning team!     simply the best in trilogy series!!! Although there still some bugs need to be fix which i know the devs will do, it doesn't bother me. 9.3m copies in day-1 and counting...congrats to the developers.

    5. 2 player online matchmaking, but instead of crappy black ops graphics, awesome hd 60 fps!
    6. New mathcmaking game modes!
    7. A wide variety of new killstreaks!

    Never, Never, Never buy a game on release day...don't even pre-order a game no matter how "Great" they say the game is...I learned this with Black Ops...never again. I waited to buy MW3 and glad I did...It's an okay game...like most say, "It's a map pack"...I'd wait a little bit, rent the game then buy it used in a few months....NEVER PAY $60.00 for a game....NEVER!

This game is NOT MW2.5 it has a new engine and Lots of other stuff it's like saying a sequel to a book is the same cause it has the same characters in it.     There is one thing I never understood. That would be people telling others not to purchase something simply because it's the "same" as the previous entries. In my opinion, they kept everything the same because it "works". It's either you like it or don't like it. And I like it. -My opinion.

    Ultimately, Modern Warfare 3 feels similar to it's brethren, but that doesn't mean it isn't a great game. The single player element is still exciting, and multiplayer has more options than ever – if you're a fan of Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 3 is a no brainer.

    I never expected Modern Warfare 3 to go toe-to-toe with EA's juggernaut this year, but it came out of the gates with a tour de force campaign and co-op mode. It loses points with a perhaps too-familiar multiplayer that caters to the juvenile on Xbox Live; though don't be mistaken, Modern Warfare 3 is one hell of a shooter and a highlight for a series that just won't die – no matter how much we wish it bloody would, at times.
