    Please disregard the other reviews giving this game such a low score. This game is beyond epic fro The beginning of the single player all the way to the end. The creators listened to your crys for help and took of all the things that broke mw2. This game will keep you playing until your eyes bleed. And for those of you who think the engine is the same.     Love this game, the ability to have dual attachments and 3 perks awesome, new maps take some getting used to but once you do they are fun and provide plenty of different ways to get around some one trying to trap you.

    There is a huge diferent, if u watch the mw2, it doesnt have definiton on the arms u have on u hands, it looks as u d have as modeling a box in 3d with more little boxes in it, but this new mw3 really make u to feel sure as u re really carry on a real arm.

    I have been playing alot of this game over the last few days, It s a typical COD game with quick smooth gameplay. if you like COD you will love this game, i havent come across any drop outs / glitches in 25hrs online gameplay, highly recomended.

    MW2 versus MW3. (Compared on a Samsung 63" Plasma w/ Surround Sound)
    The VISUALS have a lot more color, deeper blacks and detail. Note: MW2 was a great looking game. The AUDIO has more layers and is much deeper with a lot more character to everything. The GAMEPLAY feels refined and tighter. OVERALL this game is reference and a showcase    If you played and liked MW2, you'll really like MW3.

    Having played all previous iterations of Call of Duty I can confirm that Modern Warfare 3 is the best of the bunch! The only potential negative I have for you is that the campaign is fairly short (though the time it takes to complete increases dramatically when playing on a more difficult setting!), but it is gripping and enjoyable.     I am appauled. And as a Call of Duty fan, and as a die hard gamer so I should be. I have personally loved and have played all of the previous modern warfare games + Black Ops. This is so dissapointing beacuse I wanted to like this. It is important in this day in age that in a world where we are rebelling against corporate greed that games like this should be scorned as the producers behindI am appauled.     It is important to note that this is not Infinity Wards fault, as most of the staff were fired or left in discust when they were not adequately renumerated for their previous efforts (activision cutting costs). Sledgehammer is just another **** company that made games that no one likes or cares about.

    The fact that you create a game that is 'simmilar' is one thing. The fact that you do not innovate the engine, textures, sounds or gameplay is another.

    To the conceed to make multiplayer maps that restrict play and force you to run about an metaphorical abbatoir is another. Run down this alleyway, this alleyway. where is the fun in that. There is no zombies, face paints, wager modes, and then they shamelessly copy halo headhunter modes and rebadge them as 'kill confirmed'. Thats not innovative, its just wrong!

    I will be returning my copy tomorow, not beacuse it is a bad game (although it is) but beacuse it is a sham. It is a discrase and if i want to play MW i will play one of its predecessors. And what is this elite **** 69 dollars a year? What happened to a time of you buy a game once and you get constant support?

    I know a lot of fan boys say yeah BF3 fans are just complaining, however, at least they have dedicated servers? First DLC? Yeah its free, oh and it may not perform at 60fps but its new and it tries different things.

    OPEN MAPS NOPE, SPAWNS **** rating 2 out of ten beaucse if this was another series, everyone would rate it like this too.    … Expand

I really enjoyed the campaign and am kinda diggin the multi player. I feel like I stand a chance of getting better instead of owned 100% of the time. Its feels VERY polished and looks incredible even for an older engine. If it works why fix it? id tech never ceases to amaze me.… Expand

I picked this up for £45 at my local store which is a little more than I would usually pay for a game but you know what, I would pay double that for this game! Modern warfare 3 has everything in it to make it a classic that I will play for months to come!! To conclude my review, if like many due to the recession its become more difficult to buy all of the games you want to, this game deserves your money!     Improves on modern warfare 2 in nearly every way. The guns feel smoother and the gameplay is still as fast paced as ever. The game with friends online is especially fun. All in all, it was worth the wait.

    I have been a huge fan of the Modern Warfare series ever since the first game. I was mostly interested in the campaign aspect of the game, and Sledgehammer games delivered. The action sequences were superb and the plot line was excellent. From what I've seen from the multiplayer, it is not much different from MW2 but I am always excited to try out the new weapons and maps. Great game overall.

    It's funny to me how pseudogamers that say the COD series are for kids take the time to go around all the web looking for MW3 videos, reviews, news to trash them and to give them really low rates, I mean, you dont like they game, dont buy it, as simple as that.     Great "replay-ability"! Out with COD Points and back to earning your weapons and perks. Minus all of the camper spots that plagued Black Ops and MW2. Hate all you want, but for for how much time you can put into this game and only pay a minimum of 60 bucks is there really a better all around shooter out there? BUY IT!

    The graphic still better than the other shooter and continues to be a very fast paced game. You wont be disappointed and you will find over a 1,000,000 players every night. Now 1,000,000 that really tell you the AAA game you will play. Enyoy!

Regardless of whether this game doesn't innovate as much as you would have liked it to, they innovated nearly every aspect of the tried and tested formula with the original MW so, if anything, they deserve a little time to rest and do what they do well; make an addictive multi-player, a coherent single player, and a wealth of customizations.    … Expand

    Exactly what I expected. More of the same play mechanics...The game play is just as good as ever, online games are still just as good. The online maps are a bit annoying I will admit..to much crap in your way and slightly more difficult to memorize right away. I have always loved the CoD franchise..but it could have a been a little better..

    Modern Warfare 3 is more of the same in the series. If you have had fun with the mulitplayer with your online buddies in the past this should be no different.

Now to the gameplay, I love it. I will admit I havent played the campaign but we all know you dont buy this game for the campaign. I will get to it at some point. The first night I sucked and wanted to jam the disc down my garbage disposal. However the second night everything started clicking and I started learning the maps and boom back to normal having fun and actually playiang with some strategy. It may not be real war and there are still campers but its addictive and full of action! The new Kill Confirmed gameplay is awesome for people like me (and most of us) who love to Run n Gun and get in good gun battles rather than sneaking around hoping someone in a 3 story window is going to snipe me with a crosshair not even close to my body (that really pisses me off BTW). Overall this game on its own is a 10, you cant judge a game off of the past games. MW3 will go down as one of the best COD games of all time. I guess what you can say is that there arent a lot of new additions, however the small additions that were made make this game so much better than the previous versions.… Expand

    i'm not hating on this game and i know this game is a lot like modern warfare 2 but with upgraded stuff. and you know what? who cares? because everything is done SO well and the action is as intense as you can think of in a game. so don't hate on this game. i wouldn't hate on BE3 eventhough i dont play it. to each their own.

    Battlefield 3 sucks, and it's sad that the fans have to stoop so low just so they can feel better about their game. They see that actual reviewers are giving this game better scores, and they just have to come in and pollute it with their scores.

    Of course this game feels like an expansion. It is the third modern warfare and leads off where the other games left us hanging. Singleplayer takes you on a new and epic journey with a great story. The addition of survival was perfect. It adds to the ecitement of mw3. Online is better than ever before. The maps are compact and absolutely stunning. There laid out in a way that makes forOf course this game feels like an expansion. I've enjoyed playing MW3 as much as I had the other two, and although there are more returning aspects to the game than new it might seem, I'm beyond happy with it, and very surprised to see so many negative comments. I guess people just don't understand what they were getting themselves into. If you were happy with MW2 and MW, this is definitely the game to play; but since it doesn't seem to be as obvious as I'd have thought, expect to see a lot of old aspects of the MW series brought into MW3 as well.… Expand

    I know people are angry about how its just an rehash of the last game. But the thing is the formula is flawless there's really no need to change the game. I think its a great fun game. Campaign just as great as the first one. The negative reviews are just from the bf3 fanboys.

    As a fan of fighting games, im used to re-releases of games i love. I think what the FPS crowd isn't understanding is the value of a more polished version of a game you already enjoy. If i was going to recommend a street fighter game to a new player i'd recommend SSFIVAE not the original SFIV, as you should be recommending MW3 to new players with these reviews, because it's a betterAs a fan of fighting games, im used to re-releases of games i love.     I just played the 1st mission of the single player, but I can tell you I had fun as hell fighting through the streets of new york and the stock market. I don't care if it's short (from what I've heard), but the campaign is a blast.

    Bashing a game for its graphics its like bashing a porn movie for its story. Seriously guys, the graphic improvement is NOT obvious, but it's there. You will realize when you play the campaign. In the multiplayer I haven't looked in detail, but it's the same engine so obviously the improvement is also there. Do yourselves and us a favor kids and stop being so retarded, go play Pong on atari or something.

    Not to mention spec ops. I haven't tried it out yet, but it sure sounds like challenging and hella fun.

    Awesome Game, I loved the single player, The story was great, the graphics were an improvement on the previous games but still ran smoothly on consoles. The MP is the best one they have ever done, very balanced!

    Great game despite the harsh criticisms. The overwhelming amount of negative user reviews just proves how intimidated battlefield fans are by MW3 as the dominate game in the military shooter genre. If you're on the fence about choosing between MW3 and Battlefield 3, it's a close call but MW3 is the better game.

Altogether, this is still basically the Modern Warfare we all know and love/ hate but much more refined. The harsh user reviews this game has got feels unjust, I find it's still one of the most compelling, solid and fluid first person shooters out there compared to most others of this genre. I don't know what people's expectations for this was like, but from the first two it should be obvious what to expect from the third and if you played the first two to death and found it getting limp, this won't do much to reignite your interest but if you played the first two a moderate amount and found it enjoyable, you'll like this just as much if not more.

    This game should be about an 8-9...but to offset the number of critically handicapped children, it gets a 10.

    It's a new installment to a SERIES on the same hardware technology as the last 4 games from the series. Do not expect drastically new looking graphics or gameplay, though both have evolved slightly and smoothed out greatly over the past few years.

    Don't know why alot of people are bashing this game but MW3 is a well balanced thrill ride!!! The single player campaign is the best out there with it's richly detailed enviorments and a nice rock solid 60 fps and the multiplayer is nice as well will alot of great modes!!

    Another great Call Of Duty game, Must buy for any FPS fan. Single player is an improvement from MW2, being able to do missions in the major cities of the world is great. Obviously the multiplayer is fun and addictive like all Call of Duty games.

    The Single Player is superb, with every mission revelantly linking to the story as opposed to a series of huge spectacular moments. Its a decent length and keeps your hooked all the way through. Spec Ops is brilliant, it would be nice to play with more than two people but its really great fun none the less. Lots of variety in the missions and plenty of unlocks to keep it replayable.

    The multiplayer is more of the same, but refined. Sure there are problems, there are far too many quickscopers as sniper rifles are far too powerful and explosives are completely useless against people with blast shield prop. However the improvements they have made are brilliant, the prestige shop is a welcome feature, the gun leveling system works really well and rewards players who are good players with particular guns.

    Overall Modern Warfare is just a fun game to play with friends. If your playing yourself you can still have a good time but the ultimate experience is when you play in a group.

    In reality this game is probably a 9. Its a really good game but not perfect. However since the game is being unfairly represented by fanboys and haters I felt it is only fair to try and balance it out slightly a give it a 10.    … Expand

    Better than I thought, when Infinity Ward slumped, I had no real faith in the game, but after playing it for several hours, all I can say is wonderful, the multiplayer is beautiful and the campaign keeps you hooked and surprises you all the time.

    This game retains its hold on the best shooter on the market. Graphics are impressive, best in class controls, and after 14 hours of play its amazingly bug free, cant say that about other shooters on the market. New modes kill confirmed and team defender are great. This game keeps getting better and better. Dont listent to the battlefield 3 trolls spewing their hate on here.     Exactly the game that I was looking for. Being a COD fan I went into this looking for an updated version of MW2 and that is exactly what I got. Between the 3 play modes I spend a lot of time with this game and so far am enjoying every minute of it.

    The current scores on here are pathetic. You may not like the game but very few games deserve these kind of scores. Just because its popular and similar to the last installment doesn't warrant these scores. A good series is a good series and many very well reviewed games on here are equally as similar as cod is.     Single player campian is awesome, the survival mode is awesome, and he muti-player is awesome. MW3 is the best CoD to date. Well done Infanty Ward and Sledgehammer.

The call of duty series is for more fast pace action where battlefield is for more strategic spaced out action. I have no regret in buying this game, I've been playing it since the midnight launch, and enjoy being able to pick up a game where I know how to play and not having to learn the multi player so much. I've played both BF3 and MW3 and I would choose MW3 over BF3 because it doesn't have the million glitches and bugs that BF3 has since day 1, the game came out. Don't forget the times that BF3 servers where down, (MULTIPLE TIMES) which also happened on day 1 of release. Besides, why would they change a ton of stuff in MW3 when you knew the story had to continue, EVERYONE! loved MW2, so why would they change everything about MW3 if people enjoyed what they where playing already.… Expand

    Modern Warfare 3 is a great game. Of course the single player is only a few hours long but the multiplayer is greatly improved. There are no more insanely overpowered killstreaks and it actually focuses on the gun on gun fights.

    Best COD since Modern Warfare in 2007. The guns sound excellent , best in the series. The killstreaks are very well balanced. Very fluent gameplay. It doesn't disappoint at all , don't understand the negativity, must be battlefield fans mad that they're game couldn't match up to this.

    First of all I love the game and where it is now. I think the dev team tried very hard to battle one of the hardest aspects of the game which is camping during multiplayer play. The campaign storyline is quite complex and if not paying attention you may miss some info but all in all a great finish with the beloved cpt price and soap. The game is worth the money and does not dissapoint, for new players I would suggest you take your time online and learn strategies and be ready to change up your style of play if a camper or wall sitter.     I just finished the canpign and its soooooo good i´ve never been excited about a game that much all my life its just thrill ride and the multiplayer is great. Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 3 = Simply A Masterpiece

    This is by far the best modern warfare game. The visuals are definitely much better than its prequel modern warfare 2. You just can't stop playing this game, as it pushes in copious amounts of adrenaline which you never get from any other game out there. The game-play is better, cinematics improved.     The game is great. I have completed campaign and love multiplayer. I don't see why people having been rating the game so badly it is a definite step up to Black Ops where I found my self only playing when I had friends over to play zombies or total boredom had struck me. 10/10

You will die a lot but as soon as u pass level 30 the customization to your guns, kill streaks and perks is nothing short of amazing. Call of duty is successful for a reason so stop hating on it.     WOW! I knew that the impact of Infinity Ward's key designers would have an impact on MW3 but this is rediculous. By far the worst of the Modern Warfare series. I have always leaned towards Infinity Ward's Call of Duty versions but never again will I waste my money on trash games like this.

They hardly followed any of the previous MW HUD formats or options, and I have no idea who their military advisors are but they are a joke (being that I have been an Army Infantryman and currently a private military/security contractor). I went to sleep last night as a level 53 and woke up a level 34, WTF? After 30mins on the "online customer service chat" with no response, I called and after an hour of waiting they took my information and told me that "they were working on the problem but couldn't fix give the rank back that I had played so long and hard for... Activion and NEW Infinity Ward are by far the worst game developers in the business. I always hated Treyark untill Black Ops which is amazing! WOW, that is all that I can say. I will never buy another Activision game made by Infinity Ward!    … Expand

    MW3 is what every CoD fan should want. A polished version of the great game we all love. I'm surprised how many negative user reviews they are? How many of the bad reviews were written by disappointed BF3 players???? There's no such thing as a CoD killer

    Quality title. The same silky smooth gameplay you would come to expect from the series. It's a travesty that there's a ton of people online trying to discredit the hard work of these devs.

    Very good game, some people are saying the same thing, but it must be the same as Modern Warfare is a well so they should have kept the same gameplay and etc. and keep the same graph is also best as even some modest PC's can run this game in a setting relatively good and so is better for the players.

    I have play Battlefield 3. Finished the game in about six hour and traded in the same day I purchased it. The storyline was terrible, did not even bother with multi player. As for MW3, I am much satisfied with the campaign, outstanding storyline. All three games can easily become a three-part movie. I have no idea what are people complaining about.     In a word, MW3 is FUN! So far, I've tried Special Ops and multiplayer modes and had a blast. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking to play a FUN FPS.

    After waking up from the coma BattleField 3 put me in thank god there is a game that has action, is fast paced, and fun to play. The multi-player isn't as good as MW2 but it is still pretty good. The campaign is solid and delivers what is expected.

    Ultimately, Modern Warfare 3 feels similar to it's brethren, but that doesn't mean it isn't a great game. The single player element is still exciting, and multiplayer has more options than ever – if you're a fan of Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 3 is a no brainer.

    I never expected Modern Warfare 3 to go toe-to-toe with EA's juggernaut this year, but it came out of the gates with a tour de force campaign and co-op mode. It loses points with a perhaps too-familiar multiplayer that caters to the juvenile on Xbox Live; though don't be mistaken, Modern Warfare 3 is one hell of a shooter and a highlight for a series that just won't die – no matter how much we wish it bloody would, at times.
