    Im sorry but this game looks like just one big ole patch that could've been done over xbl. Its the same damn game with a little bit of difference, and no not graphics wise. I took mine back and got Skyrim. Sorry COD you have failed me....and also a lot of other people. It's pretty sad when a developer of this game has to beg it's users to up the score.     After hours of the previous games in the series, I was expecting a well worked campaign mode and useful changes to the multiplayer. This provided neither. Major improvements needed, I actually traded in after 3 days!!!

    A really bad Game like Black ops and Modern Warfare 2.
    Graphics are from 2005, same lame Gameplay, nothing has changed.
    but then, there are coming 20 DLC's .. and guys 1 DLC will be cost 15 Dollars, so.. 300 Dollars for all DLC's .. what the **** and i think they will be sale the old maps from black ops and modern warfare 2, whatever.. next year there coming black ops 2, another fail..    A really bad Game like Black ops and Modern Warfare 2.

    Terrible Multiplayer, full of cheaters, a simple MW2 recicled. An drastic downgrade faced to Black Ops.
    No 3D, No dolph dive, No easy drop shot. Horrible perks division, no more wager matchs or CoD money.

    It's hard to explain how bad a game can get. If there was an option to vote negative, this would be the game I'd choose. I've been a gamer for so many years and it hurts to see what Activision does to the gaming industry.

    Same thing as always, gets old, worth $30 max, instead of makin us wait in line buy a 60 dollar game, they should just have added a dlc for 15 for mw2, and camping has jumped to new extremes with this game.

    Modern Warfare 3 is very stupid game. Only shooting. No plot, no realism. I don't like this kind of games. Graphics: every year I see new part that have the same engine that previous.

    a ridiculous game... the same game released in 2007 with map pack... same weapons... engine... sounds... everything exactly the same without any changes for the third time... no wonder that the producers have to beg in Twiiter give high marks to him and are creating these users to fake it...

The hit detection is as bad as it was in Black Ops, I literally felt like from that point of view I was sold Black Ops again. The maps look like they took a bunch of random objects and put it in the design program and hit "build me a map", these by far are the worst maps in Call of DutyThis game feels like they took out the bs of MW2, kept the bs from Black Ops, added more bs to the game. The maps look like they took a bunch of random objects and put it in the design program and hit "build me a map", these by far are the worst maps in Call of Duty history. Because the maps are generally smaller and not well thought out, I find myself constantly getting a kill and dying right after because of the numerous ways you can be flanked from almost any position of the map/. Also, the campers were in the game from Day 2 and it was worse than Black Ops because the maps are so poorly balanced that you can't fight your way back up the map if you don't have upper ground, all they do is camp you to the point in Domination where you can't even make a push to an uphill flag, and these players that did this to me had common sense and an ability to hold down LT and RT, which is all all you need to do to. Not to mention, it's easier to camp because of the cluster of random things put on every map that you can head glitch over and the guns are back to killing in 3 or 4 shots. Kill confirmed, a game that I thought would prevent camping, has already catered to people who don't even go for the tags and just sit and camp the dog tags to get a good k/d. By Day 2 I just had enough and returned it. Oh and I didn't even mention is basically a DLC pack, but to me that wasn't even biggest problem, i looked at what I saw in the "new game" presented in front of me.… Expand

    Been playing all night. The maps do not feel right,. The no scooping and drops shots still being int he game are just stupid. And the MOAB is just as game breaking as the nuke was in MW2. The most damning aspect is that it is the same game as MW1, MW2, and Black ops. Huge disappointment.

    I have played cod since it started. When i heard that MW3 was coming out, I was pretty excited.
    But it all flushed out when i bought it.
    The graphics?
    They look like MW2.
    Gameplay?
    Didn´t innovate at all, and just terrible.
    But the worst was the hit detection.
    I liked it in the most cod games, but in this one, you just shoot anywhere and they give you 200 points.

    i have had all the cods and this one is buy far the worst. i will never buy a game made buy sledge hammer games again thay have messed cod up im going back to black ops as it is a far better game. if you are thinking on geting mw3 dont bother im tradeing my 1 in on monday the only cod i havent kept

Spawn camping is back! I put a 150+ hrs into Blk Ops. . . I was praying that this crap would have been fixed. WTF!!!!!

    I think this is the worse cod until now, it shows that infinityward have runed out of ideas.Its exactly like moder warfare.Infinity-ward is a realy disapointment this time. Tyst havent almost changed enithing.

    Is a terrible game, I hate when the camera moves when you shoot, also the multiplayer has enough errors as bugs that help one to cheat, and in campaign mode also has many bugs. This game is pure hype, the game sucks

    Worthless game. Honestly just a repackaged Modern Warfare 2 with a few different guns. What a waste of $60. Battlefield 3 might struggle on the campaign, but the multiplayer is so much more innovative and fair. The spawns aren't awful like this game either.

    I don't see what all the hype is. Story was obviously rushed, multiplayer was just rehashed MW2 game play. It felt more like a DLC pack then an actual game worth $60. I returned it for a refund and decided to by something else. Buy a worthwhile game and save your money, and time.

There are no choke points so people spawn all over the place and you get killed by someone that spawned right behind you! HAD THEY HAD A BETA MAYBE SOME OF THESE BUGS WOULD HAVE BEEN REMOVED! AWFUL GAME. The only people that are liking it are casual gamers that do not play often! FIX THE SPAWNS!Awful game. They did nothing from MW2. At least MW2 had better maps, these maps are awful.     I used to love this series, so much so it's crazy. Call of Duty 4 will always have a special place in my heart because of the excitement and innovation it brought to the gaming world. It was something different, more visceral and believable than most other games out at the time. I know these 16 or so developers who put this thing together probably cared quite a bit for the project. But the end game was to not screw up what had been laid out before them. There's nothing new to this game, as soon as I played a round with my friend, it felt as if I was right back where I was one year ago playing black ops for the first time. Call of Duty officially sucks and we shouldn't have to pay full price for a re-hash of the same crap every year. Should be called Call of Duty Modern Warfare expansion. Activision is a talentless money grubbing sack of crap at this point. Hopefully they'll tear this thing down and build up a proper sequel at some point....Til then please don't waste your money on this game series please :)… Expand

    The single player was amazing and I had a great time with it. Then i jumped into the multiplayer and was incredible disappointed. All it is is MW2.5 and with even more problems. Respawning locations are terrible, killsteaks are just awful and just the over all multiplayer game feels poorly thought out. Even though MW2 and its share of problems I at least enjoyed that game from the startThe single player was amazing and I had a great time with it.     It is a $60 map pack from MW2. Major problem is the shot consistency. Sometimes they hit and kill, other times it takes a whole magazine for the shots.

I'm starting to wonder when they will create a new game engine, like Battlefield 3 did. I am starting to see that Activision is putting off the creation of a new engine, just to minimize cost and maximize profits. II was expecting a lot of effort from Infinity Ward and Activision.     Well, i do have to say MW3 is almost same as MW2. But the single player has a pretty good story line, so it got a 5 rating from me. But the rest, like multiplayer are the same stuff. I would rather buy battlefield 3, which has better graphics and gameplay than MW3.

It gets boring very fast, I've never really understood the hype about this game, I rented it and just found out like many other that it wasn't good at all. Within 24 hours there were tons of people who were level 42-70 maybe cause they used countless double xp from the dorrito and mountain dew challenge and stayed up all 24 hours. This isn't how games should be played nor how gamers should be rewarded.     When you make billions of dollars after blacks ops you think you could actually put some effort into the next game and make a good story mode that is more than friekin 5hrs. I payed 65 dollars for a story mode that was full of just shooting 20 guys then get in a car and kill 10 followed by kill 30 more. The story is BS. Top it off with multiplayer being the same just added map packs. Rip off.

    All the video game websites that had no balls to be truthful and give mw3 a low score which it deserves since it is a recycled game the same game as before can take the money activision payed you to give the game a high score can shove the money up each of your bunholes. And all the call of duty fan boys out there congradualations for being robbed of your money by activision.

    New box art, same sad game. MW2 was bad enough then they repackaged it and called it "MW3". Very disappointing, they should offer refunds. They spent more time on marketing and coming up with stupid themed accessories than they did coming with something new for the actual game. They recycled entire buildings!

    Wow... just finished the single player... Everything was; Wave->kill, Wave2-kill, run up 5 steps, Wave3-kill, Wave 4-kill, cut scene.

    Battlefield 3 has a better camp IMO, not good enough, but better.

    MW2 Single player is better than this by far, and also better than BF3.

    Bad game MW3, only thing improved is the methods to induce addiction.

Someone gets picked as host who has the best connection and it's a guarantee that person and who ever connects well to that host will see you a good 1/2 sec before you see them, which for this game is instant death. BF3 uses dedicated servers and it shows. But here is the main problem with MW3, there are NO medium to long range maps...90% of the maps are small close quarter street and alley type layouts that have no areas to hold down or go after and really no buildings to go in. They all play the same, just super fast paced with the same perks and guns from before. Forget maps like Wasteland, Terminal, Estate, Derail, Afghan, Carnival, Trailer Park, Overgrown....maps with personality letting you go in planes/airports, C130s, trailer parks, train yards, open areas with long lines of sight, etc. Most maps are single level with a few stairs for multilevel but the line of sight is terrible. Forget sniping. It's useless. EVERY MAP IS LIKE FAVELA IN THE LAYOUT EXCEPT YOU CANNOT GO IN 99% OF THE BUILDINGS. This is a sad rehash of MW2 with HORRENDOUS map design. So for a game that is based off a host connection, all these stupid little street/alley maps will literally make you so mad because someone will kill you before you even have a chance to react. Oh so they added something new in weapon proficieny eh? What a load of junk, just a sneaky way to give you a 4th perk (as if 3 wasnt chaotic enough) except it applies specifically to your gun. 2 weapon attachments? Sounds like Bling perk. Increased bullet penetration? Sounds like Deep Impact. Focus? Who the heck will ever use that since you die immediately. This game is pure trash. Bobby Kotick needs to know what if feels like to be fed the same thing over and over. I wish i could feed him eggs for breakfast one day, then eggs over easy the next day. Then eggs benedict the next day. Then eggs sunny side up the next day. Then repeat that same process adding a little salt and pepper. Honestly I hate to make the comparison, but BF3 is a MUCH better game. It has its flaws too but it's so much more realistic and fun to play and is at least something different.     I gave this Game a 0 out of 10 for one major reason and that is that on some maps they copied and pasted entire buildings from previous modernwarfares (not even updated the textures or graphics on them) that makes parts of this game at least 5 years old. In my opinion directly copying material in such and obvious way makes this game little more than a cheat. and money spinner.

    i remember when this game change my life but now i think This is the most disappointing one after BO and MW2. Looks exactly as CoD 4, with barely any change in mechanics and gameplay. The only good part is the story, but that is easily spoiled because it is so predictable. The graphics are the same as on CoD 4, which came out 4 years ago

MW2 for me was awesome, but when playing MW3 you can tell that its not the same people behind the game.
    the cod series for me has now fallen into the annual sports game rehash category its nothing new or special and am surprised by the press reviews. For a game asking for premium cost, its far from premium value.    … Expand

In terms of the Campaign, the best way to put it would be that the long and the short of it is that it is too short. I finished it the same day I bought the game. While I realize that the trend - ill-advised, in my opinion - is to sacrifice single-player for the multi-player component, a single-player campaign that short is an insult. Especially when the playability value of the multi-player part of the game will be severly undercut by those individuals who find ways to cheat (and just to note, it took less than six hours for people to start hacking the MP). As far as the multi-player goes, it would seem that the devs chose to keep all the worst aspects of the past iterations (Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2) while doing nothing to improve the experience. Spawn kills? Check. Modders? Check. Knives with thirty-foot blades that can stab you from across the room? Check. Ridiculously underpowered weapons? You get the idea. Look, I have some familiarity with many of the weapons in the game, and I understand that an endless succession of one- or two-shot kills is less than enjoyable . . . but on the other hand, it also doesn't take almost an entire magazine from an M4 to kill someone. Nor do trained soldiers, especially soldiers who are supposed to be elite, let the muzzles of their weapons wander around like drunken sailors on shore leave when they're aiming or firing. Also, despite all the handy tips, the game does nothing to encourage teamwork, even in an MP mode like "Kill Confirmed" where the whole point is that the road to success lies in teamwork. Finally, and again despite the helpful tips, the game continues to lack any kind of cover or concealment mechanic. Just a tip to the devs, concealment is where the enemy can't see you, but can still shoot you (in older days that was called "reconnaissance by fire") and cover is where the enemy can neither see you nor shoot you - and there are actually very few weapons capable of putting rounds through masonry or reinforced concrete walls, and pistols most certainly can't. At best, Modern Warfare 3 is an okay shooter, especially if you think real warfare consists of running around like a maniac. The sad thing is, it could have been a great shooter if the devs had concentrated on making a good game rather than on regurgitating the mistakes of the last two MW installments.… Expand

Following MW2 not Becoming the Worst COD game i've played ... i don't like BF i loved Cod but Activision really screwed up ...I feel the Game Devs didn't really push to try and be ahead of the curve with innovation They just wanted more money outta a game they rolled up out of other games BF/Black:ops/homefront into one game than really trying to change the game with improvements like Gears did ... i never really played Gears like i do now with Gears 3 ... it falls short since it doesn't have Multi-weapons and killstreaks ...but i still have fun playing it ...which a game is about ... i can't get enough!!!!! i LOVED MW2 ... i only stopped playing due to the high priced Crappy DLC and modding but i had high hopes for MW3 ... i'm upset i waited for this and wasted money and will never be able to say ... like i do with some games ...     Except skyrim. Which is amazing.

    Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.... Oh dear god, where do I begin. I could probably just sum up this whole game in one sentence. If you played MW2, you played MW3... hell if you have played any CoD, you have played this game; its the same game every year with a few new maps and guns.

    The game uses the same formula as many previous call of duty titles, which gamers and critics alike are becoming bored with. Infinity Ward and Treyarch need to step up the game next year or gamers will move on. Had enough of these games and peoples obssession. Done with the review its a shame to see big budget repetitiveness games like these overshadow quality titles out there.

    If you've played the original modern warfare out modern warfare 2 you've played modern warfare 3. Nothing new here same cheaters in multiplayer that can be found in the first games are in this game, no new game play is ask the same. Go rent our wait a couple of months and buy used from Gamestop for half the price if you must but don't waste $70 on this piece of crap.

Maybe you thought its ok to charge gamers $50 for every thing that you come out with, but sorry to burst your bubble but you got competition with BF3. Which has better graphics, realism, physics, more vehicles, better sound, better strategy and best of all it all cost paying $50 once for the game and for elite service. I trusted Activision with my money and got ripped off, they got my end, so the least I can do now is warn people away from making the same mistake to make them think that pulling this stuff on their loyal customers is okay.

    This should be a map pack, not an actual game. Nothing new, Easy enough for pre teens who rage about not being able to play rambo on BF3. I feel sorry for the people who bought the elite version of the game, Glad i was able to play it before buying it.

    Total over hyped trash, same game different year. Save yourself $60 and play the Call of Duty game you already have! This game should just be sold as a MW2 expansion pack. The game literally reuses textures and models from past CoD games, including CoD4.

It is the exact same game that they have given us for years now, nothing added, but still charge $60 bucks for. I am very, very glad I rented it, just so I can finish the single player campaign.     Same twitch shooter which is just an expansion of MW3. As good as broken. Maps are ridiculously small giving players an average of less than 25 seconds of alive time. A very poor excuse to a competitive FPS game. Also call of duty "elite" is also broken.

    Ultimately, Modern Warfare 3 feels similar to it's brethren, but that doesn't mean it isn't a great game. The single player element is still exciting, and multiplayer has more options than ever – if you're a fan of Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 3 is a no brainer.

    I never expected Modern Warfare 3 to go toe-to-toe with EA's juggernaut this year, but it came out of the gates with a tour de force campaign and co-op mode. It loses points with a perhaps too-familiar multiplayer that caters to the juvenile on Xbox Live; though don't be mistaken, Modern Warfare 3 is one hell of a shooter and a highlight for a series that just won't die – no matter how much we wish it bloody would, at times.
