    Never once have I felt so betrayed by a game developer. That they honestly want to treat their customers like this. They didn't even try to lube it up. It was just rough from the beginning. No foreplay, just plain shiat, from start to end. Wauw.

    Another MW game, and this time, they didn't bother to hide the fact that they were reusing textures and building from the fourth installment, or that they hardly changed anything about the overall gameplay. In fact, they seemed to have taken a step back from their newer game, Black Ops, opting for a tired out MW2 system. Brainless fun, a junk food of a game. Save your 60$.

    This feels exactly like the the last two Modern Warfare games. All they've added was some new content, and nerfed things here and there. Compared to a game like TF2, which adds new FREE content very frequently, that's unacceptable. You can't release a content update, and expect people to believe it's a new game.     Its the same as cod 4 and mw2, same engine, same graphics, same structure, same gameplay the lot - there is nothing new about it other then some new maps and new skins oh and the dark green menu now. Story is ok but its all the same, PC version doesnt even work with xbox controller and any resolutions over 1024*768 the game tears and endges become jaggered.     MW3 is boring, I am sooo glad I paid $60 for MW2.5. The campaign is horribly boring, I quit half way through because I have better games to play. This season has too many good games to waste your time on this one.

    it was copy paste from MW2 and I think no thing change in the game from MW2 it is like take MW2 and give the player DLC and change the poster and the number and some other staff. so I thin they desire 0

    The single player is the same old linear action movie wannabe ripoff that it always has been. Multiplayer has been changed up slightly but for the worse. Elite is a total ripoff. If you want a better Multiplayer experience go play battlefield 3.

    Same game, different title. While I'm actually embarassed I bought this, i'm even more embarassed I put faith in it that it would be even remotely good and bought the $300 Turtle Beach MW3 "Delta" headset along with the game. Oh well, at least I got a badass headset out of all this.

Activision should never fire the people from Infinity Ward, because whats left of IW is not able to even do tetris. This game has worse graphics than 2, the same engine with more hiccups, and maps that are 1/4th the size of MW2. The spawns are set up so stupidly, that you will spawn next to enemies and vice-versa.     Modern Warfare 3? A new videogame? I was thinking that was a DLC of 70$. You will feel like you've stepped back in time 6-7 years. The graphics are brown and grey and decay-esque, the gun sounds are horrible.

    I honestly gave this game a chance.this is one of the worst Call of Duty titles to date. I am judging strictly from my multiplayer experience because that is really all the game is supposed to be. It is absolutely unoriginal garbage. There is no innovation, no improvement or any real changes to differentiate this game from past Call of Duty titles.     I have already wrotten this review for the PS3 version, but because it is my birthday next week, I got the Xbox 360 version given to me early by brother, not realising I had already bought the PS3 version. Thankfully we managed to return it but not after I had a try because FPS have a reputation of being better on the 360 format. Did it change my mind?     I already own MW2, got Black Ops and was expecting something more from MW3 I guess. What I got was MW2 with BLOPs Zombie mode minus the zombies. All the maps are so vertical and have the same dirty look. There are so many corners that now getting caught in a good firefight is a thing of the past. None of these maps are memorable and can't even come close to classics such as Cliffside, Eder Dam, Terminal, Crash and Backlot.    … Expand

    Probably the worst excuse for a game I have ever played and will ever play in my lifetime and I've been playing games since the early 80's, I've got a ps3 and xbox 360 with mw2 and blackops for both, I have found this version mw3 to be the worst yet, don't get me wrong there is a few good ideas but the main reason I got away from black ops was the game was getting over run with campers,Probably the worst excuse for a game I have ever played and will ever play in my lifetime and I've been playing games since the early 80's, I've got a ps3 and xbox 360 with mw2 and blackops for both, I have found this version mw3 to be the worst yet, don't get me wrong there is a few good ideas but the main reason I got away from black ops was the game was getting over run with campers, mw3 boasts about close quarters fighting blah blah rubbish, all they have done is made more easy for these campers to sit behind objects or wall or bins or as I see alot metal containers, they could have made the game better with one suggestion, a 5-10 seconds camping rule and if they stay in the one spot any longer then automatic suicide which goes against there kills and deaths etc, I know my stuff and have been playing games probably longer than these designers who created mw3 , seriously it's time for these money grabbing gold digging people to stop robbing us of our money for such a pathetic excuse for a game. :(… Expand

    I'm glad I did not buy the game! I had a chance to borrow it so I did not throw my money on another failed game! I took the previous game series in which I could not play because of all the problems with their servers so I decided to stop playing in the series!! Time they learned to appreciate the gamers and invest in our games! Sorry for the English

    Honestly thought I was playing MW2 untill a friend told me it was a copy of MS3. No thats not a joke I'm being serious. There is so little difference between games its insulting that this is a stand alone title and not DLC.

Came home hopped on multiplayer got to level master sargent person rifleman whatever then threw my controller in sickness at the lag, poor graphics, and the constant bullet hose everyone produces.     Activisions new goal, do less and bank on it. Charge 59$ for hardly any changes on their engine, then 40$ a year for Elite? A year? Wow, its sad the gaming industry is turing into a "lets make the shareholders super happy by ripping off gamers" Same old game. Ill stick with Battlefield 3. Squads, vehicles, and blowing stuff up!

Many people seem not to realize they are paying full price for the same game every year, or at least that is what I heard.     I can't believe i payed 60 bucks for this game. It's a glorified xpac. the story blows (not that i expected it to be good.) Multiplayer is just more of the same too. I know its a sequel and wasn't expecting much change but damn it sucks.

    I borrowed this from a friend for about a good 30 minutes before realizing that I may as well have been playing MW2. Nothing. Has. Changed.The fact that they can get away with this is appalling, but it pisses me off. I played the multiplayer and about 5 minutes of the survival and you know what? It sucks. Don't get it!

    I have been playing this game all day now and I just can't seem to enjoy it, it just feels like the same thing over and over again with nothing new. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who already owns black ops or mw2.

    It has become painfully obvious how much of an uninspired, rehashed, cash-in the CoD series has become. This new installment adds nothing new to the formula of "click mouse to shoot bad guys". With assets being reused, membership fees popping up, it is really remarkable how the Modern Warfare audience still believes that this new product is worth the full price. My own playthrough left meIt has become painfully obvious how much of an uninspired, rehashed, cash-in the CoD series has become. This new installment adds nothing new to the formula of "click mouse to shoot bad guys". With assets being reused, membership fees popping up, it is really remarkable how the Modern Warfare audience still believes that this new product is worth the full price. My own playthrough left me disinterested after a few chapters. It's just following a guy and shooting up the place. I've done that before. This time it doesn't even look appealing, Battlefield 3 did a much better job in that department. Modern Warfare 3 is a disappointing result of mass production and can't offer anything more than it's predecessors have achieved.… Expand

    I am a huge fan of Call of Duty but MW3 didn't do anything for me, i felt that the game was a copy and paste MW2.5. So i decided to give Battlefield 3 ago, i really didn't like the previous Battlefield but i have to say Battlefield 3 is awesome, it is far superior to MW3 with out a doubt. Activison you let me down this time.

I feel really sorry for the bunch of poor guys who paid for the "elite" content, they will be receiving the same labyrinthic lame maps in the months to come, but I seriously dobut that will be enough to keep this expansion ailve. Activision should kill the franchise as they did with Guitar Hero, but as long as there are people paying overprice and with the con$ent of "reviewers" they won´t stop, at least not for this generation.    … Expand

    Mordern Warfare 2.1 should say enough. Its a $60 map pack thats all!! Not worth more than $9.99 imo.
    Im thinking of asking for a refund, and I highly suggest everyone else consider it as well.

    This game is not worth money. It's the same as CoD 4, with only few changes. The graphics are dated because of the very old game engine. The only new thing, single player, is about 3-4 hours long and very linear and has annoying spawning enemies. Save your money for something else.

    There is zero difference to MW2, the game is simply bland and cliche, everything is recycled and you can only release the same game so many times before it just gets stale, the graphics are simply awful, the story is cliche and it as a package just feels incredibly outdated.     I first want to say, that I liked Modern Warfare 2, it was al-right and addictive. I hated Blacks ops, really stinks as bad as BO (Hence the acronym?) Modern Warfare 3 is nothing new. Its the same cookie-cutter shape as the last 3 (or 4?) years now. The Call of Duty series just needs to be laid to rest before it loses all of what's left of its dignity as modern shooter.

    MW2 and Black Ops add on map pack at best. Hit detection poor along with bad respawn locations. Close quarter combat feels like everyone is just running circles around the map. Clunky menus and poor layout of perks and leveling system......Horrible game unless you have never played a COD game ever before.

    I played it online for 2 hours most of the matches were lagy and glitchy. people walk through the walls WTF. even though I played and still the same thing almost nothing new. The seams to be just copy paste form the previsions games Black ops and Modernwarfare2. We need something new come on this is not hard is it.

    Not anything new really. They have just taken somethings form other CoD and bunched them together. Somesay that there are new thing but if you think about the developers have taken it from other games. A new engine and dedicated servers would make the game better and they should try to make it less "arcade-ish". Don't enjoy the maps at all and Survival mode is so blend.     There was a time when games were praised for their originality and innovation. Call of Duty has lowered the bar. The storyline sucks as does the gameplay.

    Played this game for an hour and realized it was just Modern Warfare 2.5. If you are under the age of 12 and looking for a ADD twitch shooter this is the game for. This game has no learning curve and is not a competitive shooter by any means.

    Save yourself some money and get modern warfare 2, or better yet purchase battlefield 3. This game only feels different to modern warfare 2 not better, same game just somewhere else. To be honest it feels like a retaliation release to battlefield, something that was rushed and wasn't particularly well thought through.

    Ultimately, Modern Warfare 3 feels similar to it's brethren, but that doesn't mean it isn't a great game. The single player element is still exciting, and multiplayer has more options than ever – if you're a fan of Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 3 is a no brainer.

    I never expected Modern Warfare 3 to go toe-to-toe with EA's juggernaut this year, but it came out of the gates with a tour de force campaign and co-op mode. It loses points with a perhaps too-familiar multiplayer that caters to the juvenile on Xbox Live; though don't be mistaken, Modern Warfare 3 is one hell of a shooter and a highlight for a series that just won't die – no matter how much we wish it bloody would, at times.
