    Really this game is Moder Warfere "3"; I cant believe its another game. It feels too much like MW2 DLC. The gameplay is equal, the history is very "cliche" and predictable, and the multiplayer is the same of the last 4 games... really? I think this "Call of Duty" will die like "Guitar Hero". I will save in my memory CoD 2 and 4. The others are only DLCs with a full-game cost.

    If you have Modern Warfare 2 don't waste your money on this game. It is the same exact game with a different campaign. There is nothing Innovative about this game it is seriously Call of Duty MW2. Stop giving the developers 60 dollars for the same game.

    This game is horrible, you cant even create ranked custom games so that you can farm xp with your friends then be 12 years old and camp in corners and just win all day. How dumb. Also guys have guns and shoot at you, I need a game where the other players can't shoot back because I'm pretty bad.

    disappointing game,boring campaing levels and the multiplayer is the same as mw2.I loved modern warfare 1 because it brings innovation to the gender and multiplayer made the game been amazing but after that each call of duty game is more of the same.

    alright the maps are really bad. a couple like CTown and Dome should not have even made the game. It feels like clostrophobic version of Black Ops and MW2 skins. game is not as advertised. the only thing that the game has brought back is Quickscoping. So my montages will be good, but I barely have had fun playing this for the 15 hours I've played it. It's just a huge disappointment.alright the maps are really bad. a couple like CTown and Dome should not have even made the game. I was told I'd receive exclusive content, that I have yet to see. Still wondering why I was not handed a field journal as promised. All in all, they took the same tired game, small maps, and PC like graphics and threw in a bunch of nonsenseNot what I was expecting at all, waste of money. While some may think this is an amazing game, its just the same game we've been playing for the past few years with a new number slapped onto it. Seriously, I regret getting this again. Just the fact that they release this game every year, I wouldn't be surprised if they announced another Call of Duty game in a month.     I have been playing FPS for a decade now and have loved the CoD series but have now lost my patienc. I felt let down by Modern Warfare 2 then the cash in Black Ops but all MW3 is is jus MW2 in a new skin but no real new innovation. Guess it's now the new guitar hero and madden.

    WTF...This game is a POS. Same stuff all over again. They did nothing to improve the graphics or story. Weapon selection is horrible. What a waste of money. Wish I knew before I bought it. I feel cheated.

    Thought I would give the game a fair chance so I decided to buy it and I didnt have any expectations. The odd thing is that the game even failed to entertain me and that's without talking about all the 12 years old boys I keep hearing on the game...

    Did you enjoy the perks, level-up system, and guns of the previous Call of Duty games? Well, they're back, and just the same as ever. No innovation has been brought to the plate this time, and Infinity Ward has opted to go with the good 'ol "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach. The maps are all incredibly small, some of which are comparable in size to a backyard. The maps encourage camping and lack the epic scope that other FPS multiplayer maps offer.

    But you know what? Infinity Ward should be commended for creating the CoD Elite system, where you can keep track of your various stats from previous matches you partook in. This is CLEARLY an innovative system that not many FPS' offer nowadays (*cough* Halo and Battlefield *cough*). Not only that, but you can also choose to give Infinity Ward your credit card information so you can get each map pack released within the next 12 months! This is obviously a sweet deal, since each map pack will cost $15 anyways if purchased separately. And each map pack will contain 4-5 shallow maps that don't encourage any new tactics different from the maps that come included with the game.

    So all this for only #60? Why, it's a steal! It's not like I've already played this SAME EXACT GAME twice before already! Infinity Ward obviously spent the past two years crafting the best multiplayer FPS available. It's not innovative, it's repetitive, it doesn't reward clever tactics, and it offers an extremely shallow single player mode. BUT! It has multiplayer, complete with lag, hit-detection issues, and overpowered guns! What more could a pre-pubescent 13 year old boy ask for this Christmas?    … Expand

    I am really dissapointer with this game. No only single player, but multiplayer, graphics, sound and even maps? EVERYTHING is reused from past games, plus a very expensive suscription? I can only tell you: THIS IS THE FARMVILLE OF FIRST PERSON SHOOTERS. Period.

    Bought this game yesterday, and after putting the disc in I noticed that they had accidentally put MW2 in the box. After looking at the top of the disc I noticed that they must have printed the wrong game label since it said MW3. I was disappoint.

    Really 45 for the same game so now i have paid £135 for one game and 2 expansion packs. Single player boring and way too short graphics ok but looking dated, multiplayer meh! The run and gun is getting old now maps are tiny compared to bf3 mechanics the same for 3 years now. I get it that if it aint broke dont fix it but not doing anything to it is.     Just rented it, to test it out, and it's just the same old crap. Nothing original. Just trying to ride out the money train. Campaign is the same monotonous, "kill generic bad guys to get to the next scripted event", garbage. You can just play any other modern warfare to get the same multiplayer.

    The story is just completely awful s everything else, including the blurry graphics.
    I would not recommend anyone to get this game. Better spend your money on The new Batman game, Gears of War 3 or Uncharted 3.

    More like Modern Warefare 2 expansion. Jumping into the single player feels just like you've been here before. Nothing fresh which you would hope to expect. The graphics are not an improvement at all.
    Jumping into multiplayer will make you want to jump out once the attack helicopters start coming every second.

    This game has horrible graphics for whats out there at the market. You could probably run this on a 3dfx card. Everything is still the same from mw2/bo. There is nothing new... I feel scammed. Im glad I bought bf3 and skyrim... that will keep me busy.

    Same formula, different title. This new edition to the Call of Duty franchise is forgettable and abhorrent. Do not buy this if you have played Black Ops or MW2 as it will give you little to no satisfaction in its entirety.

    I have been playing FPS games since Tom Clancy,s Rainbow Six on msn gaming zone this blows monkey chunks. It seems like this was just made for little kids on consoles not for the hard core gaming community. Wake up and give us a good game

I couldve even bought about 150 Wii games from that discount bin at Best Buy and collectively, they wouldve been a better purchase than this damn game. Second, I got home and my eyes began to get raped next. This game is hideous. It looks like a digital elephant man or those kids with hairlips you seen in those gross commercials. Who ok'ed the graphics on this thing? Look, its 2011 and games are looking like real life already. This looks like a popped cauliflower ear on a UFC fighters head. WTF

    Next, the full body raping continued in that MW3's story began **** my mind after I started to grasp what this retarded, convoluted, spaghetti noodle story is about. If a sea urchin learned to type, the first thing it would type would probably be "sodij WEIao oaidfja;pio so os oiwjeom". The second thing it would type would be MW3's plot. I cant fathom how a group of adult men and women came up with this bs story. This is the worst plot for a game since the Xbox 360 game "Jerry Sandusky: The Penn State Story" got cancelled just last week. What a MESS. Right before I logged into my Amazon account to sell this waste of time back for some money, I figured Id give multiplayer a chance. I knew this was the wrong idea. But whatever. Heads up: If you haven't played MW mp before, heres the basic gist: 1. Map loads - sh*t talking begins in full
    2. Players spawn - retarded running animation takes place as you attempt to go your hot spot in the map in a rush
    3. You aim - you see some fool who doesnt see you and you get hyped bc you're about to kill his ass. 4. You shoot - You hit him!! YESSSS KD IS 1.0 NOW what? wait. He's turning at me
    5. You keep shooting - The guy youre shooting at starts running towards you
    6. OMFG Glitch - Yep he was glitching and just kill't your ass with a knife throw to your face. Kill cam shows no damage on him.

    I'm happy to report that if you enjoyed this scenario in its various forms from MW, WAW, MW2 AND BO's well, guess what? Its still there. Rad! No wait. This isn't rad and definitely get classified as mind violating rape again. I threw my controller at the 2nd instance of this glitchy bs happening and causing me an undue death. Why cant they fix this **** Hello Beta? I mean even GOW 3 had a beta. And Epic is f*cking retarded! Even they learned!! Good grief.     It feels like a map pack for MW2. The only differences are extremely basic changes which are to be expected with each new title. (Guns, perks, etc.) It sickens me that this is the most successful game on the market right now, and all IW had to do was slap a 3 on the cover. You are not missing out on anything if you choose not to buy this. "Most anticipated game in history" my ass.

    Looks, sounds, and feels like MW2... didn't bother to re-record any of the sounds or re-design any of the interfaces. They swapped out a few weapons, included new maps, and tweaked killstreak mechanics slightly... but it's largely the same game.

    To top it off, the $50 ELITE service is unusable. I feel like I wasted $110.

The percs have all been nerfed and muddled with, some are totally pointless, some of my favorite percs have been turned into 2 percs (ghost!), some have been divided into the same catagory which breaks my balls. The spawn system is 100% broken, i dont know what they're thinking. I play free for all A LOT, but it is U N P L A Y A B L E as you spawn literally FEET from the enemy. (I mean feet, Ive literally watched people spawn in front of me within shotgun range, and ive noticed people have made a habit of spawning and planting a bouncing betty at their feet which kills the next person that spawns there) quick scoping is back and worse then ever, yAaaaaaaaaaaaay. Theres a new air burst grenade launcher that is devastating, complete with 4 round clip and abundant ammo. A lot of the guns almost always require scavenger, which is in the same slot as slight of hand, which really bothers me. And I havent scratched the surface, the 3 worst things about this game are the guns damage (you spawn and die before you know whats happening- too many one shot weapons) the maps are cluster F@&$ed and jammed together (Theres about 1000 ways into a area, which I thought I'd love but it just exasperates me getting shot from 10 different angles, there is not 1 map that resembles their classic formula, not one feels like a call of duty map) and there is debris and crap EVERYWHERE, making every inch of the maps prime hiding for campers. Everyone camps in this game, and I think its because people are intimidated to move sense you have the potential of being shot from 200 different angles. I wish I could return this game, I've never been more disappointed in a game in my life. This game is redeemable if they patch the guns, remove quick scoping, fix the spawning, and release some decent classic feeling maps. All of this is reasonable, they have nerfed guns in the past due to being over powered (like the ak74u) and fixed quick scoping, I dont get why they went the opposite direction this game.… Expand

    After playing the game I am never buying another call of duty game again. MW3 is so similar to mw2 that at one point I felt I was playing mw2. How about you make bigger maps that allow vehicles. It seems like I payed 65 dollars for a new set of maps. Story mode is a complete joke. I mean come on I knows its a video game but your depicting war so make it believable.     I have played all the CoD games and decided that I would get MW3 thru my gamefly subscription. As I expected, it is another mundane reproduction of MW with a lackluster campaign that was forgettable by the end. In fact, towards the end of the campaign, I questioned why I was even playing it because it was so boring. Moving on, I went on to multiplayer on live. Same uninventive BS withI have played all the CoD games and decided that I would get MW3 thru my gamefly subscription.     Why is this getting a zero? Simple. No innovation, no score. Good thing I've still got MW2 so I don't waste my time with this. 9.3 Million copies of MW2.5 got sold.

    THis game isn't worth 60 bucks. They could have easily released this as an extension pack for mw2, because its the same exact engine, same gameplay, same everything except for a few new multiplayer maps. its just a very lazy attempt to cash in on 60 bucks.

    I ws so looking forward to MW3 it was scary... And now that i've played the multi player i wish that i'd bought Skyrim instead and i don't even like RPG's The maps are predictable, the spawning takes the piss and the kill streaks have no imagination what so ever.... It's that bad i don't even want to try the single player game because i dont want to end up smashing my game pad of the wallI ws so looking forward to MW3 it was scary... Taking my copy of mw3 into game today to trade in.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is not the same Call of Duty that I came know and love. Multiplayer maps are all about close quarters now which a real shame (remember overgrown?). Singleplayer is absolute trash. The game just feels too fast as well. I understand that the game is suppose to be all out war, but my god does every mission have to have explosions and over the top set pieces? It's stupid how Sledgehammer thought it would be moving to kill off every single character (except Price by the end). Whats sad is that i didn't feel sad or mad even though I've been playing Soap for the past two games. MW2's Ghost and Roach death scene was at least descent. I just felt no emotional attachment here. Because every level is all about racking up bigger explosions, there doesn't seem to be a single moment of quietness or intensity like "All Gillied up" or "Shock and Awe" Call of Duty died when Activision sucked the life out of Infinity Ward where most of its development team left. I was really looking forward to wrapping this up story up, but it left me cold and disappointed..... Cod 4 was like Black Hawk Down. MW3 is like a mindless Michael bay movie with no substance.… Expand

    A VERY expensive DLC... but who am I kidding. COD pioneered expensive map paks. Activision knows how to milk. They have made it an art, and in the video game industry they are A number 1.

    I pre-ordered both BF3 and MW3... And, i can not see differences between MW2 & MW3... THIS IS THE SAME **** GAME. The only new feature is the system to get screwed in the long term with cod elite...

    Ultimately, Modern Warfare 3 feels similar to it's brethren, but that doesn't mean it isn't a great game. The single player element is still exciting, and multiplayer has more options than ever – if you're a fan of Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 3 is a no brainer.

    I never expected Modern Warfare 3 to go toe-to-toe with EA's juggernaut this year, but it came out of the gates with a tour de force campaign and co-op mode. It loses points with a perhaps too-familiar multiplayer that caters to the juvenile on Xbox Live; though don't be mistaken, Modern Warfare 3 is one hell of a shooter and a highlight for a series that just won't die – no matter how much we wish it bloody would, at times.
