    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I think this game is a master piece and has amazing graphics with an enormous map it also comes with a beautiful landscape and features a whole underground area called the depths along with a sky area and a natural ground landscape.
    personally this was a game of beauty and detail to me and I loved every second of it.

    Just wow, everything from the gameplay to the new abilities, the boss's and their soundtracks is amazing. I have already put in way too many hours in this masterpiece yet I still haven’t touched a tenth of what you can do. This game is a must.

This game is phenomenal, it doesn't reinvent the open world formula like Breath of the Wild did, but it does things that no other game has dared to do for over 30 years. Being able to interract with everything in a world full to the brim with things to do and find multiple ways to use every item you come across makes every interraction in the game very rewarding. This game is not perfect, the sage abillities are clunky and not super well thought out and performance drops occasionally, but it still remains at the top of the list of games that do nearly everything right.… Expand

    De los mejores juegos que he jugado, la mayoria del hate a este juego son tonterias por lo que he podido leer, cosas sin sentido que me hacen preguntarme si esa gente realmente lo ha jugado, asi que bajo mi criterio de gordo gamer: este juego es la ostia, no hay mas BTOW al cuadrado y con una buena batalla final. todo lo malo que tenia BTOW este lo arregla y mejora, GOTY 2023 100%.

    This game brings me inner peace and a sense of calmness. It’s honestly therapeutic. The fact that you can have so much enjoyment from just exploring and gathering resources without ever feeling rushed to finish the story. But when you do get around to completing main quest lines, oh boy do they deliver on some intense backstory. BOTW was lacking story but TOTK has a phenomenal story thatThis game brings me inner peace and a sense of calmness. It’s honestly therapeutic. Once again Nintendo has done its thing again, it has given us a practically complete game, a game to beat would be somewhat unfair, it is the first time that I have seen so many mechanics and new experiences that it is amazing, be careful, I do not declare myself a fan of Zelda but after playing this title I have completely fallen in love, for me it is the game of the year 2023... for several reasons. The soundtracks, the cinematics, how you connect with the characters, the new abilities like ultra-hand, combining weapons with objects whether they are consumable or not, infiltrating through the ceilings, that's wild. Ganon's new appearance seems majestic, worthy of a king, it reminds me a lot of Ocarina of Time. I think the symbology is one of the strongest points of this game and once again this title deserves the game of the year.… Expand

    It takes everything that made BOTW good and makes it better. It's combination of puzzles, open-world sandbox experimentation, exploration and freedom in approach in everything from traversal to combat makes it one of the best and most unique gaming experiences you could have.

    After 135 hours, I have to say I love this game. In the most basic way, you can go in literally directions and find something unique, interesting, and fun to do. At first, the weapon durability is annoying, but once you catch on to what they're going for, it's amazing to fuse parts and weapons for crazy powerful combos.

    Por lejos la mejor experiencia que he tenido en un juego en toda mi vida. El mundo es extremadamente inmenso y lleno de contenido para descubrir. Llevo jugando mas de 150 horas y aun no he completado ni el 50% de las misiones secundarias, y cada vez que juego siempre hay algo nuevo por descubrir.
    La historia es hermosa, me llevo hasta las lagrimas en el final asombroso que tiene.

    An absolute masterpiece in every way! I feel like every where I go there is a new discovery waiting for me! The atmosphere is great and every location is very distinct. Best of all the controls! They feel great and anyone who hasn’t played it or breath of the wild would be able to understand. My only complaint with them is the fact that you have to swap jump buttons in the setting to getAn absolute masterpiece in every way!     Really relaxing environments, huge maps, open world, good history, worth the money, very dynamic playable character, almost give 9 because the power level of some sages was significantly decreased and/or transferred to avatars, it would be more enjoyable if they just lend that power to Link exactly like Rauru's skills and BofW Champions did.

    Best game I ever played this year! Actually I am more into sport and racing games like Fifa and Need for Speed and I don't even like to play action-adventure game before, but this Tears of the Kingdom really get my attention. Absolutely amazing story and gameplay.

Being able to create machines with Ultrahand allows for some incredible and useful contraptions to help with otherwise tedious jobs. The storyline is one of the best out of all video games and the physics are incredible. I also really enjoy all the new additions to the world, such as the mysterious caves, the diverse sky islands, and the hostile Depths. Overall, it's an incredible game that all Zelda fans should play.… Expand

The way this game took the story and world left off from breath of the wild and turned it into something so fresh yet nostalgic is nothing short of phenomenal. They created a story that expands outside of that in the previous game in all directions. The world is deeply enriched not only on the surface with many new shrines, caves, and updated towns, but fully new maps in the sky and depth. One of the most impressive things of all is the physics mechanics build for this game. Zonai devices such as hover stones, stakes, fans, springs, and so much more help the player have the freedom to explore the world and make creations all their own.… Expand

    The way they adapted the map and expanded it to have an equally large map in the depths and also have the islands of the sky is incredible, I can't even imagine how difficult it was for the developers to program all the fusions and interactions that come with this mechanic.

    very nice，是我今年玩过最棒的游戏了，余料建造和究极手的自由组合非常有创意。结局的演出效果非常棒，主题曲一响眼泪都要流出来了，虽然地表地图和上一作看似一模一样，但是实际玩起来根本不会注意到，因为增加了很多洞穴和其他的内容

    和前作《旷野之息》相比，这一作多了一段比较充实的前置剧情，既交代了事件起因，也能很好地表现出人物性格和关系。尤其是和前作时隔六年，能再次看到熟悉的塞尔达公主、观察到她与林克之间熟悉的互动细节，让我相当感动。

    可惜这段互动没能持续几分钟。之后魔王苏醒，天地巨变，公主不知所踪。这次再醒来，就是在「新手村」初始空岛上了。这里给我留下的第一印象，就是截然不同的氛围和生态：金黄色的树木和草地，白色的断壁残垣，厚重青铜色的管家魔像和守卫魔像。这些色彩组合在一起，配上一早一晚准时响起的空旷钟声，使得空岛虽然古旧荒凉，却依然不失圣洁之感。

    落到地面之后，熟悉的海拉鲁大地在眼前展开。尽管主要地形和前作相比没发生太大的变化，但是在原来的基础上多出来的错综复杂的洞窟，让地图呈现出了新的样貌。再加上到处都有从天而降或是嵌进山体的巨石，配合上时间倒转、通天术等技能，可以实现人物高度的迅速上升。前作里攀爬起来费时费力的高山，现在不再能成为探索的阻碍，反而成了随时随地发现新惊喜的藏宝地。

    因此，拖慢前进步伐的不再是纯粹的障碍，而是玩家自发的探索欲望，这是我认为《王国之泪》的一个高明之处。更不用提到处散落的各种各样的支线、怪物，以及需要护送的呀哈哈，总有那么几样东西会让你忍不住停下脚步。我一开始是要做什么事来着？我都玩了两个小时了为什么还在做别的事？——在海拉鲁大地上向着新的目的地进发时，这样的体验几乎成为了常态，却不会给我留下负面感受，我想就是这个原因。

    当然对于前期孑然一身的林克来讲，更高密度的内容也意味着更高的难度。缺装备、武器差、血量上限低，都降低了战斗的容错率。好在刚刚落地就能迅速抵达的「监视堡垒」是自己人的地方，这里的NPC会永远给予林克支持：床可以免费使用，灶台的火永远燃着，有一些基础的武器可以随时取用，还有数名已经是老朋友的研究员，会为林克指明探索的方向。这些细节都为玩家快速过渡到中期提供了支持。

    在前作《旷野之息》中，认识林克的NPC寥寥无几，所能提供的帮助和指引也比较粗略，从始至终林克都是自由而孤独地四处探索。而到了《王国之泪》，从最开始的「监视堡垒」，我就能明显地感觉到大量的信任、敬意与支持，被这些真诚的情感包围的感觉让我相当满足。

    这种支持感在我遇到第一个讨伐队任务时达到了顶峰。跟着讨伐队一起向怪物营地冲锋时，那种「我不是一个人在战斗」的真切感受差点让我哭出来（好吧，我承认前作里实在是太孤独了）。

While it uses the same map, this game was in a unique position as a sequel because you get to see the world change and how it’s adapted. The new additions were great with the caves, sky islands, and depths. The sky islands could be more expansive but they’re still impressive. The story is leaps and bounds better than botw and while the voice acting is still meh, it’s much improved from the last game and Matt Mercer kills it as Ganondorf. The actors for Sonia and rarue were also pretty good. The music was incredible. Every new track fits the setting perfectly and the boss tracks are bangers. The regional missions are cool and the temples are far better than the divine beasts. They aren’t traditional dungeons but each one has a unique theme and the puzzles are still fun. The new abilities are also great and add so much to the progression of the game. The durability was made even more fun because of the fuse ability, and being able to make vehicles with untrahand in so cool. The physics are insane and the fact that this game runs on a switch is a testament to the incredible game design. The final boss is the best finale in the Zelda series and looks and plays fantastically. One of the best games of all time, no question.… Expand

    The only thing wrong in this game was the marketing that made it look like the sky area was where most of the new content was, when in reality it was the depths but it still deserves a 10/10 this is what any game dev should look up to (also ending made me cry in a game for the first time).

    Awesome game! The freedom, the main and secondary quests and the number of things to do make the game very long, but still always something to discover even when you think nothing is left in certain areas. The possibility of building customizable machines further increases the hours of play and allows you to do as you wish.

The two main things I enjoyed most from this game is the insane amount of exploration and the fun building mechanics. The music and art design were both fantastic just like BOTW.     Although it's the same map as Breath of the Wild, Nintendo found a way to make this game bigger, bolder, and more fun. The new mechanics have let loose the player's creativity, and I'm sure many cool things related to the game will keep appearing for years to come. I've been playing for roughly four hours, but it keeps calling me every time to come back.

    It plays very similar to botw but it feels like they took the creative freedom you wish you had and gave it to you. I don't care for how almost 1-1 it is in little things. For example, the cooking visuals and sounds are the exact same as in botw. But the new things so far make up for it enough

    This game is amazing. The best open world I've ever played. Combat allows for some much experimentation. Only issues I have are noticeable frame drops and sometimes cringe worthy story. Everything else is amazing.

    It's all here. Engaging exploration, cute visuals, lots of surprises, crazy breakable weapons, shrines, great OST, koroks, creepy enemies, cool towers, funny writing, a nice story and endless gameplay possibilities.

    Only now you have some pretty new and impressive things to keep things fresh. Ascend is probably one of my favorite mechanics ever in a game, ultrahand is godsend, endlessly attaching things to your items never gets old and rewinding is pretty useful and creative. I'm not a "puzzle" guy and I thought these new things weren't going to stick the landing with me, but I was definitely wrong. It all works very well.

    There are also two new maps. The sky islands and the depths. I absolutely loved everything in the sky, especially how well they were implemented to the story. It's astonishing. The depths were pretty fun and ominous at first, but became annoying and repetitive after a while.

    TOTK is definitely remarkable, with plenty of things to catch you off guard, from the story to gameplay. The ending nearly brought me to tears, with some of the best "cinematic" moments and battles I've experienced in this franchise. It is, without a doubt, an excellent sequel to BOTW. A good one, with few flaws to point at.

    Yet, one major feeling slowly crawled inside me on my 180h playthrough.

    The sense of novelty kinda vanishes. Don't get me wrong, a game isn't supposed to throw new and shocking things at you at all times! But that overwhelming feeling I had when I played BOTW faded after 80h in. I felt like I was pretty much done with it after experiencing nearly everything new that the game had to offer. But there were MANY other things to do and explore. Felt like I was playing BOTW again and, although I LOVE that game, its replay factor might be its weakest aspect.

    That's really the only thing I have to complain about it. Or the biggest thing, in a way. A few problems from the previous entry are still here (like how they handle the story and the infinite shrine hunting) and the new "friend abilities" don't hold a candle to the likes of Revali's Gale or Mipha's Grace. But this might just be me nitpicking at this point, to be honest.

    Tears of the Kingdom is a fantastic game and there's A LOT to talk about it. But, for now, I'll just repeat what I said before: if you're like me, and you loved BOTW, pick this one up NOW. If you didn't, it might not change your mind.    … Expand

    This game delivers a gameplay experience most of todays games cant compare to. I really like that there are no map markers and you are free to explore the world on your own. The world is also incredibly „readable“. Everything can be seen in the distance and you choose in you go there or not. This makes the world feel rich and breathing.     It's harder than BotW, powers are made more or less for traveling vertical through the sky than they were horizontal through lakes/rivers like BotW, and now instead of picking up a new weapon you have to pick up monster parts & upgrade broken weapons with said parts because every weapon has been basically ruined by this thing called 'gloom' which also debuffs your HP unless you eat aIt's harder than BotW, powers are made more or less for traveling vertical through the sky than they were horizontal through lakes/rivers like BotW, and now instead of picking up a new weapon you have to pick up monster parts & upgrade broken weapons with said parts because every weapon has been basically ruined by this thing called 'gloom' which also debuffs your HP unless you eat a sundelion or have a strong light source nearby.

    Honestly, I think the way BotW was set up is better than TotK, tho. TotK really feels more like they just throwing a newborn in the woods while BotW they waited for you to become a toddler first. TotK likes to bombard you with new quests & take you away from exploring areas & if you don't do said quests you will be punished for it. BotW, quests were really optional & didn't require actually doing them at all. If you don't do quests in TotK you will not be able to even buy basic armor or upgrade said armor at fairy fountains. Heck, you can't even unlock fairy fountains without doing several quests before hand & trying to find those quests in such a large open world is a trial in of itself.

    Everything else is pretty much the same, except now there's shrines in the sky and underground. Also, there's now sky areas & underground areas. Caves have also been added & there's so many caves in the game, there's even caves in the sky islands there's so many. I think the devs might've gone cave crazy cause they put so many caves in the game, probably more caves than shrines.

    So yea, basically it's BotW again, but now there's way more in the world than there was before. More to explore, at least. Other than that, it's literally just BotW 2.0. They even reuse the same armors as the first game, but good luck finding them or trying to buy them from a shop. If you haven't played BotW, I'd highly suggest playing that game first, not because of the story but because it's easier & will help you adjust to TotK that much quicker. If you haven't played BotW, the game treats it like you haven't ever played it, which kinda sucks actually. Most NPC's you've met in the previous game don't recognize you except for the big mainstays like Impa, Paya & Robbie along with the Zora's who knew Link 100 years ago. People you've helped in BotW will still be in TotK, but they won't know who the heck you are. I guess 5 years later is a long time, but you'd think more people would recognize the guy who literally stopped the calamity almost single handed.    … Expand

    Es un juegazo, las nuevas mecánicas, la música es excelente, claro eso si el mapa geográficamente es el mismo pero al explorarlo es totalmente distinto, otro punto a criticar es que va a 30 fps y gráficamente le falta, pero eso ya sabíamos que es lo que da la switch, en resumen cómpratelo no te vas a arrepentir

    Speaking of freedom and choice, each mechanic that Link can utilise such as Ascend and Ultrahand are crafted in such a way that it truly allows complete and total freedom to tackle objectives and secrets (that, by the way, the world is absolutely FLOODED with!), and gracefully enables this mouldable gameplay that is entirely unique to the player. You do things how you want, when you want, and that is where Tears of the Kingdom truly shines.    … Expand

    I wasn't sure how Nintendo would find a way to top their work in Breath of the Wild back when it came out, but I feel they have here – with years of more polish applied and refined exploration. [Issue #66 – July/August 2023, p. 71]

    The good thing is that, thanks to the limited possibilities, the creators couldn't go crazy and swing for hundreds of game miles. Instead, they created what could be called Elden Ring in a travel pack. [Issue#328]

    The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has lived up to the high expectations created by the success of Breath of the Wild with its exquisitely intertwined gameplay systems, outstanding music, and a legendary story culminating in a magnificent denouement. It's not every day that such a special video game like this comes around. Truly the stuff of legend.
