    Really great game. Had so much fun playing it. I really enjoyed the original game and this felt like it but bigger, better, and cleaner.

    Technological masterpiece. Despite being on such limiting hardware as the Switch, the game is somehow even more optimized than BotW. Amazing story. I was initially worried that I wouldn't find the game as enjoyable since I had already explored everything in BotW, but all of that quickly went away after the first hour of playing.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I don’t even know how someone could give anything below 9. The only negative I could think of is that some of the temples were a little meh (which doesn’t even bother me).
    Apart from that:
    -A lot of guys are complaining that the map was the same and the exploration didn’t feel as good as BotW the first time. Ok, I’ll say that it didn’t feel like BotW but nothing ever will. That said, I still liked exploring. While the biomes are still the same ones, I liked seeing the tweaks and changes made to the map. Plus the Sky Islands, the caves and The Depths were a blast to explore because they really made me use the new vehicles, they really made me use my creativity and use the new amazing abilities.
    -Some guys are complaining that TotK has the same negatives as BotW. The only negative that I found about BotW is that the exploration became boring after a lot of hours. And this isn’t a problem anymore because I can create whatever I want to explore. I even liked recycling a simple hoverbike over and over without getting bored.
    I’m starting to think that those who didn’t like the game don’t know what creativity is and therefore the game just wasn’t meant for them.
    -The new fusing ability is one of the best things I have ever used in any game. It allowed me to create new weapons that didn’t previously exist: a whip, a cannon on a shield, a flamethrower on a shield, a spring on a shield, a beam emitter spear and much more.

    In the end I’m sure that those who didn’t enjoy the game never really played it. I’m sure that they were too busy playing it the same way they played BotW. I’m sure they never experimented and therefore never had fun. I’m sure that they were busy playing it as if it wasn’t an open world game. The best thing in this game is messing around, experimenting, creating your own mechs, your own battle drones, finding out new things that you can make with the fusing ability, finding out things about the new throwable items that act as flashbangs, smoke grenades and others and overall, rather than exploring the map, exploring the game itself.    … Expand

    As a snail myself, this game was very snail-accesible and definetely one of the games of all time. Very good. Fun to play. Love the part were you hit guys with a mop tied to a stick. Mop is the best weapon in the game. Very janitor friendly. Good.

    Tears of the Kingdom is a masterpiece. It is a must-play for fans of the series, and it is sure to please newcomers as well. If you are looking for an epic open-world adventure game with a great story, challenging dungeons, and fluid combat, then Tears of the Kingdom is the game for you.

    I am completely enchanted with this game. The sky is a tad disappointing and the controls are a bit janky, but I don't really have many other complaints. The story is compelling, the enemies are fun, and this game is incredibly addictive (in the best way possible.) I've spent hours making Ultrahand creations. Heck, there's an entire subreddit dedicated to making stuff in this game; theI am completely enchanted with this game. The sky is a tad disappointing and the controls are a bit janky, but I don't really have many other complaints. The story is compelling, the enemies are fun, and this game is incredibly addictive (in the best way possible.) I've spent hours making Ultrahand creations. Heck, there's an entire subreddit dedicated to making stuff in this game; the physics engine is an absolute marvel of coding. ToTK has it all: story, bosses, dungeons, and an incredible sandbox.     This game is perfect, when I first played it it was kinda boring for me but when I started spending some hours in the game I realize of how good this game is, it has a very fun gameplay, so much places to explore, a lot of bosses to fight against and a very interesting story.

Of course art direction, Sound Design, characters and music are just as good if not better than the already near perfect BotW with a new and immersive atmosphere. Physics and the sandbox are expanded upon in unexpected and creative ways allowing for absolute freedom and immersion.
    The games biggest strong suit lies in it's exploration. BotW did a good job in this department but TotK blows it out of the water in every way: varied rewards, unique locales and challenges, special events and most importantly: it's all so. high. quality. This game is my Definition of a 10/10 and quite possibly one of the highest quality games with this much content out there.

    The story is emotional and impactful - so long as it’s viewed in the intended order. It is regrettable that Nintendo hasn’t quite figured out how to expand their TRUE open world formula into one that can deliver the story in a satisfying way for every player, even the ones intent on sequence breaking. But I struggle to think of any game developer that has aspired for this level of freedom, pulled it off, and still delivered an experience as fun and impactful. Even Rockstar’s RDR2’s gentle guidance through the stellar highs and emotional lows feel like railroad tracks compared to Tears of the Kingdom. I can’t help but wonder if RDR2 would be rated as highly if Rockstar allowed Arthur Morgan to sequence break his own destiny.

    Three months after its release, and the holes in Tears of the Kingdom are starting to show more prevalently - but they are entirely conceptual. While this may feel dismissive, I find complaints about Tears of the Kingdom sound as useful or valid as someone with a burnt tongue complaining about the flavor of a 4 star Michelin meal saying “well this duck confit doesn’t hold a candle to the Easy Mac my mother used to make.”

    While we can list all the ways we each individually might prefer to engage with dungeons, or discuss our headcannons that could make the lore more cohesive, or paint elaborate hypotheticals about which art style Nintendo aught to explore next time… none of these opinions really change the fact that Tears of the Kingdom plays like no other game in existence.

    It’s my favorite game. A flawed perfect 10 if there ever was one.    … Expand

    My hope, even if it introduces some linearity again, is a more direct story next time, cause I wanna feel more involved than passive, I get that can be a pain for some, but I enjoy that story narratively driving me further (not like it stops you from B-Lining the final boss or ignoring it all, I just want more 'in the moment' story with Links involvement but thats a desire for the future, not a hindrance for TotK)

It's still really cool to see Link dive after jumping off of a sky island though like when you want him to dive. Some very minor things I just feel could be better. Not that it isn't amazing because it is and how much they added is honestly crazy, I think they could have added more difficult bosses (Other than Queen Gibdo) maybe some more temples and the option to learn how to teleport as a Yiga member after you learn the earthwake technique. Over all it's a phenomenal game and If I could I would rate it a 9.5 but I can't so I have to go for a 10… Expand

    La imaginación que podemos tener con todas las habilidades de link simplemente es una maravilla y su mundo abierto te invita a explorar cada parte del mapa con sus puntos de interés y secretos. Creo que estamos viendo un antes y después en los videojuegos

    Las nuevas mecánicas lo hacen increíble, la historia continúa atrapante y hermosa, es la primera ves, luego de tantos Zeldas, que me da real pena y no me dan ganas de que vuelvan a inventarse otro link luego de jugar en la piel de este. Que más decir, simplemente enamorada

    10/10 for this game, absolutely stunning gameplay, wholesome and bittersweet story, fun sidequests, main quests are also entertaining, generally a beautiful game, nothing have every come as close as perfect as Tears of the Kingdom has, for this I give all of my respect to the staff and devs that has worked on this, no words can describe how amazing this game is, except for perfect.

    Very good game! Sadly Baldur's Gate 3 fanboys are right now review bombing both Tears of the Kingdom and Final Fantasy XVI. I'm not sure why or what is their goal, because Baldur's Gate would never win GOTY anyway, but i guess they just want to show how toxic they are.

    GOTY here we come!

    GOTY aside, this game is honestly one of the best video games of all time. Leading up to its release, I didn't think it was going to be as good as Botw. After playing Totk for 140 hours, i can confidently say that it absolutely blew my expectations. TOTK is the definition of a videogame masterpiece and (alongside Elden Ring) further proves that videogames are works of art.

    As a Legend of Zelda series fan, I just loved the game. It was amazing, fulfilled all my expectations and even more. I believe that Tears of the Kingdom is perfect for any player. The experience, playing Totk, was unforgetable.

    The Legend of Zelda’s new gameplay loop is massively addictive…outta all the new games that have released..I simply cannot stop playing this game..it has dominated my spare time for gaming…and coming from a guy whose played all the Zelda’s starting with gold cart NES…this game is a must play..single player God game…11/10

    The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, is, simply put, everything Nintendo promised it would be. Since 2019, Zelda fans all around the world have been waiting for the sequel to the critically acclaimed Breath of the Wild, and they delivered, at least in my opinion, exactly what they said they would. The graphics are great, the story is on point, and the music is amazing as always.

    10/10.

    I really like the fact that I can defeat different enemies with absolutely everything. Main Plot is interesting side adventures are great and map is filled with ton of diffrent places to explore. Overall it is one of the best games i have ever played

    I can t stop playing, it just mean this is one of the best game ever created, gameplay is so fun, freedom is total, it is really hard to play to any other game after that. How an open world without loading was created on switch is a mystery, this game blow my find and deserve to be on the top of best game ever.

    The game builds itself on it's predecessor that pushes the limits of what is possible from creating crafts, to controlling time, to teleport yourself through higher place rocks.
    There are countless hours to spend here where you might actually get tired before you complete everything.

The story is amazing and the new mechanism allow for a more puzzle involved play through. The region quests are a bit retentive but I think that's because I did them all at once. The new parts of the maps really set in good moods, and the new enemies are great, especially the hands. I was really invested with Zelda's story and loved to chase the new memory collections. The graphics are great and I love how they still sticked to the cartoony style, but just polished it instead. And the sound track is beautiful, the main theme is my number one on my playlist and just running around in all parts of the map, the music caters perfectly. They still keep lots of things from breath of the wild which makes it feel like a visit back to a familiar place.
    The game itself runs great, with myself finding no glitches while playing nor bugs. This is really impressive as I share a switch with 3 of my siblings and the fact that the switch is a tiny hand held console.
    As the story progresses more things from botw and totk just make more sense, giving the feeling of great discovery.
    But apart from the everything, the pure joy I got when I saw the game arrive was like nothing I have ever felt before. Doing the Tutorial Island reminded me of my first time playing Botw on the Wii U and it just felt so comforting. The feelings the game gives you set a new open world standard that will ever be hard to beat. I hope this version of the games keeps continuing because it's been the happiest while of my life while playing this Masterpiece.    … Expand

    Probably the greatest game of all time. It’s on the same level as Elden ring Rdr2, and Baldurs gate 3. Would recommend if you enjoy happiness.

    Excellent game! there’s so many things to do compared to the prequel, and Link’s new skill set is fun, refreshing and very interesting; you can do almost everything you want to!

    Only downside is i wish you could build larger things, and that the house you custom build allowed you to use more than 15 blocks, but other than that, everything is great!

Its sandbox like creativity makes the game extremely fun, and allows puzzle solving to be less restricted and gives the player a sense of freedom. The cutscenes, side quests and boss battles are perfected. Not only that but the brand new addition of the depths and sky islands add for a lot more content, and pushes the shrine counter from 120 in its predecessor Breath of the Wild to a whopping 155.     The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has lived up to the high expectations created by the success of Breath of the Wild with its exquisitely intertwined gameplay systems, outstanding music, and a legendary story culminating in a magnificent denouement. It's not every day that such a special video game like this comes around. Truly the stuff of legend.
