    How could they follow perfection? To let you dream in it deeper & higher. Literally and figuratively.

    The physics of this world they built marvels the senses with full immersion. Rivals and bests any supercomputer while playing on lowly 7 year old hardware. Masterful to not try to mimic reality with uber real graphics that have clunky restrictive behavior, but to make an uber real    How could they follow perfection?     This game really improved on BotW! The Shrines and dungeons are way better and actually fun, especially the eventide shrines! The abilities are way cooler! You can pet the dogs now... oh, never mind 2/10. But all jokes aside, the best game of all time! Buy it if you haven't already, it's totally worth it!

    Aunque al principio parezca un dlc del breath of the wild realmente no lo es y apesar de que hyrule es la misma se siente muy diferente en algunas zonas, como lo pueden ser los zoras, gerudo, etc. en cuanto a historia podria haber sido mejor pero es espectacular 10/10, banda sonora como siempre destacando en zelda. simplemente 10/10 goty.

    Ok... I'm currently on my second playthrough of this game because I honestly felt like I couldn't give an honest review of it unless I played this game and then some more. I will say this game is an extraordinary game in so many ways, in ways we gamers take for granted. There are so many subtleties to this game that make the world feel alive, expansive, and engaging (enough for me to writeOk...     Tears of the Kingdom is a very good game, it implements creativity, a sense of adventure and curiosity, do you want to go to the freezing mountains of Hebra or the perilous cliffs of death mountain? You can do just that! whether you want to walk, ride on horseback or even build your own contraption you will always have a fun, exotic and serene time getting there,    10/10 would recommend.

    Tears of the Kingdom is a very good game, it implements creativity, a sense of adventure and curiosity, do you want to go to the freezing mountains of Hebra or the perilous cliffs of death mountain? You can do just that! whether you want to walk, ride on horseback or even build your own contraption you will always have a fun, exotic and serene time getting there, you are also not restricted to just the land, you can explore high into the sky and investigate sky islands or go underground to the spooky depths!

    It’s story is a return to form after The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild, you go to four regions and help the multiple races solve their problems, whether you are soaring into a massive cyclone with Tulin or jumping into the crater of a dormant volcano and in the process discovering a land with a lot of lava pouring down around you. (For the purpose of keeping this spoiler free I will not do a review of the story.)

    Toda la rama de la historia principal me dejo tan entretenido que me atrevo a decir que lo disfrute mucho más que la anterior entrega, además que añadieran una nueva sección de misiones secundarias pero me dejo aun más pendiente de todo a tal nivel que fui contra Ganondorf con todo completado (medallas, kologs, armaduras al max., espada maestra, santuarios, sabios mejorados, todas las misiones, etc).

    Me gusto mucho que le hayan dado a Ganondorf la misma habilidad de Link de esquivar los ataques y la velocidad que le dieron, aunque me hubiera gustado algúna clase de choque de espadas en ese combate.

    Cuando Ganondorf se comio su piedra secreta para transformarse en un dragón y cuando llego el dragón blanco a ayudarnos me sorprendio la enorme diferencia de tamaño entre ambos dragones, aunque bueno en las versiones humanas se marca la misma diferencia de tamaño. El final del juego devolviendole su forma a zelda y luego de caer y salir del lago, durante la conversación entre zelda y link, cuando zelda dice "Link, lo lograste" hubiera estado bastante bueno que pusieran la opción de hablarle a zelda diciendo "Lo hicimos" o simplemente quedarse callado y escuchar como siempre.

    Como conclusión quede muy feliz con el juego aunque sigo con el dolor del precio. 10/10.    … Expand

    A complete improvement on botw. The game and all of its features are really fun to mess around with. I just feel like nintendo is missing out because the game would be much better if it was ran on a higher frame rate.

    This is a return to form for Nintendo after decades of mediocrity. BotW was great, but not very memorable. TotK was....mind blowing. The ending is amazing and made me feel like a kid again, beating ganon in LttP or OoT again. It captured that same feeling of awe and accomplishment that kid me had. You have so much freedom in this game, and there were so many things I didn’t do. After beating it, I realized that I was only 48% complete, and there were countless side quests and missions left for me to do. The gameplay sits just on the line between easy and difficult, which is a perfect balance. The finale was so amazing, I just sat in silence and stared out of a window as the credits rolled on my screen. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is easily in my top 3 favorite games of all time, and it’s easily a 10/10.… Expand

    The Legend of Zelda Tears of The Kingdom not only showcases how a direct sequel can add so many features and keep it the same formula. but capitalize on what made the game good and made it much BIGGER; as it stands, it’s one of the biggest nintendo switch games and an absolute technical feat on such limited hardware (Nintendo Switch) that many considered dated since it’s launch in 2017.The Legend of Zelda Tears of The Kingdom not only showcases how a direct sequel can add so many features and keep it the same formula. but capitalize on what made the game good and made it much BIGGER; as it stands, it’s one of the biggest nintendo switch games and an absolute technical feat on such limited hardware (Nintendo Switch) that many considered dated since it’s launch in 2017. it’s a true wonder how they pulled this amazing looking game with such grounded/remarkable physics. the game will you draw you in for months to play with its deep world and lore; to its amazing characters. you can truly see why nintendo stays high in charts with their software as it doesn’t feel anything less than a masterpiece.

At first I thought:nah this game is just botw with a few upgrades.But I was so wrong.It has the same Map as Botw but Totk got so many new content.New bosses, new characters and so much more. The underground and the sky are so good.The underground is underrated. The new creatures are also so cool, you won't be bored.Maybe the new bosses aren't as hard as the curses in botw but they are much more creative and cooler. The titans don't have the cool abilities as the titans in botw but they can fight with you on your side and the bosses and creatures react to them. The endboss is just perfect, Ganondorf is so cool and epic. All the phases are so good especially the third and fourth. He isn't so difficult but it's soooooooo epic. Buy this game!!!… Expand

    we asked for breath of the wild 2, and thats exactly what they gave us. some people might be disappointed by how similar it is to the last game, but this game is better in pretty much every way (except the sage abilities which are a downgrade).
    - the dungeons are better

    This may be the best game ever created.Its definitely the best Zelda game by far. Every single minute is enjoyable and the game is constantly throwing new ideas at you. The boss fights while easy are extremely unique and each rely on their own unique idea based on the sage (I especially enjoyed the 5th temple boss). This game is a must have for any Nintendo switch owner.

Es ist meiner Meinung nach deutlich besser als Botw, wobei das schon ein sehr gutes Spiel war, aber bei Totk ist die Story besser, Gebiete wurden verändert und damit verschönert und die Map wurde einfach fast verdreifacht und das mit sauberen Übergängen zwischen Himmel, Erde und Untergrund.

    This is one of my favorite games ever from all the new stuff to the sky and the underground I feel like Nintendo went all in for this game it has a small problem but the positive out matches the negative. If i could rate this a 100 I would its that much of a must play.

Or does it deserve a lower rating because every criticism of BotW hasn't been addressed at all? (Weapons break, rain interrupts climbing, and ridiculous/nonexistent rewards for exploring)
    Due to the increased price, I'd go for the latter, which always    Tears of the Kingdom is a really tricky situation. Does it deserve a higher rating than BotW because there's clearly just more to do? Or does it deserve a lower rating because every criticism of BotW hasn't been addressed at all? (Weapons break, rain interrupts climbing, and ridiculous/nonexistent rewards for exploring)
    Due to the increased price, I'd go for the latter, which always deserves a lower rating if it doesn't come with a noteworthy increase in quality. This is just a standalone expansion after all. A decent one, but not $70 decent.    … Expand

I do appreciate Nintendo taking the time to give each of the probably thousands of characters in the game different text boxes and interesting little bits of details about themselves as well. Link is back with a brand new set of abilities such as Ultrahand which lets you take anything and build something beautiful with it, Fuse which can let fuse your weapons, shields, and arrows with any item in the game, Ascend which can let you go up any solid surface that is above you which is super helpful with navigating the world of Hyrule, and finally Rewind which lets you turn objects back in time so let's say you dropped something by accident off a high cliff. Well, thanks to Rewind if you are fast enough you can rewind it in time, and have come right back at you. There is one other ability that wasn't shown in any trailers so I won't tell you it because that would spoil the game if I did. This game also includes some hidden references to past Zelda games and also tons of other secrets which give this game a bunch of replayability. Sure it may be $70 which is a bit more than the usual switch game I would say it is well worth it. So if you want to buy it and you have money go and get it and you will not regret it at all.… Expand

    At first I wondered if this game would feel too much like BotW. Thankfully I was proven wrong. Not only is this game a total upgrade in every way, it also feels completely separate as a game. The exploration feels more satisfying, less empty space as well as more places to explore. I'm impressed the switch pulled off such a feat. NPCs also feel more significant.

    The map has been greatly expanded in multiple dimensions - the surface now connects to both a subsurface and underworld via a hundred cave and well networks; some of these are small, others are massive and cavernous, each is unique. A vast, dark mirror world is accessible from the surface via chasms hundreds of metres deep, serving as a giant combat and survival arena across the entire stretch of Hyrule. Above the surface are multiple tiers of floating islands, hosting their own unique combat and exploration scenarios, resources and building materials, and across all these tiers of the map are a dozen dungeons and mini-dungeons, the journeys to each are among the most unforgettable experiences of the entire game. Returning towns and settlements have been so greatly reformed that they're barely recognisable; from ruined Kakariko and fashion-crazed Hateno to the first-stage rebuilding of Castle Town and the Gerudo's entire new secondary settlement.

    There are now around 250 quests to complete, over 3x as many as its predecessor, reflecting how much the content density and population of this in-game world has increased, with about 30 new enemy

    The new ability mechanics are so much fun, Ultrahand makes it possible to play around with just about every asset, being able to combine all kinds of objects to build as ridiculous or as functional within the 21-item limit as your imagination allows, this ability paired up with the wide variety of Zonai components allows you to cover all bases from constructing giant mechs, mobile fortresses and large trap setups to tanks, cruise ships and aerial bombers for a healthy dose of vehicular mayhem. Fuse makes it possible to attach any item or asset to any weapon of choice, providing hundreds of options with unique power boosts and functionality, in addition to being able to attach any item from your entire inventory to arrowheads with numerous effects ranging from a simple damage boost to blinding or confusing your enemies, then freezing, electrocuting and burning them to a crisp in a massive fireball. Ascend and Rewind open up the world further by making it possible to phase through solid structures above you or to catch a ride on any vertical or laterally moving object by reversing its motion by approximately 30 seconds, additionally allowing you to take out enemies with their own thrown projectiles.

    The visuals have noticeably improved and the world is much more gorgeous to look at, with the landscape defined by greater saturated blues, greens, yellows and oranges, the sound design has improved considerably too, with the greatest sensory experience of this world coming from the ambience channelled through a good set of headphones.

    There are numerous quality of life improvements found within Tears stemming from grievances previously raised; meals are now saved and stored as recipes which can be quickly accessed from a recipe menu, the map has coordinates and can now be accessed from an ability wheel so your adventure window may stay open on another tab, items can be sorted, thrown or dropped without accessing the main menu while you will be given the option to drop an item if you open a chest with a full weapon inventory. Additionally, you can look over dialogue you may have missed thanks to a chat log window, loading screens pass by much faster the Switch overclocks when on these screens, and for my personal favourites - it's now possible to ride the dragons across the map rather than get taken out by their elemental attacks and blasted away, and Link has his very own fully customisable home where you can store all your rare collectibles, cook, sleep, pray and chill to your heart's content.

    The overall structure of the game is the same as its predecessor, in turn the same as pretty much all their predecessors; travel through the regions, completing dungeons as you do so to reverse or preventing region-destroying threats, defeat a regional boss, then come for Ganondorf in order to save your girl.

    Overall Tears does what was probably thought impossible - it recaptures the magic of Breath of the Wild all over again and surpasses it, preserving the integrity of that returning world while reforming it enough to succeed as its own reinterpretation, and providing a wholesome adventure through a beautifully designed sci-fi/fantasy setting that you can lose yourself for hours at a time in, complemented by a wonderful roster of characters representing numerous distinct peoples and cultures throughout human history.     I've been playing Zelda games since the days of the NES, and I can honestly say that Tears of the Kingdom is one of the best in the series. The story is epic, the gameplay is challenging, and the world is vast and beautiful. If you're a fan of Zelda games, then you need to play this one.

    El apartado técnico y gráfico a sido criticado, y con cierta razón, pero hay que recordar que este videojuego corre en una Nintendo Switch, y tiene mérito que una consola de ese tamaño pueda correr medianamente bien este videojuego, con el mapa base, las cuevas, las islas celestes y el subsuelo, que no sabía de su existencia y cuando bajé me llevé una de las sorpresas más gratas que me ha dado jamás un videojuego, la interacción con el mundo es la mejor que he visto en un videojuego, las posibilidades que brindan las mecánicas son infinitas y el diseño de su mundo es simplemente sublime, este apartado para mí lo mejor de éste sin dudas, mas hay cosas que no me gustan del todo, como los campeones, que su uso es tosco, o los menús, que entorpecen y hacen lento el Gameplay, además de que en cada mazmorra te repiten la misma historia con los mismos diálogos una y otra vez, pero más allá de esto todos los demás puntos del videojuego están bien, la historia es bastante mejor que botW, con más cinemáticas, más largas, con más peso e importancia, su antecesor tenía muchas cinemáticas que sobraban, y no puedo decir lo mismo de este, el sonido ha mejorado también, jugar este videojuego con cascos es una gozada, hace de la experiencia algo más atrapante de lo que ya es.
    No es un videojuego perfecto, hay fallos (que son pocos), hay cosas muy buenas (la mayoría) y hay algunos rasgos del título que son inmejorables (mecánicas), pero sin ser un título perfecto mi experiencia si lo ha sido, y me gusta diferenciar esto, una cosa es el juego y otra cosa es tu experiencia con él, el único juego que he jugado y que puedo catalogar como Perfecto es Tetris, y no es de mis videojuegos favoritos.
    En definitiva es un videojuego muy recomendable, si tienes una Switch es una compra obligatoria. Le daría un 9,6 de 10, pero darle un 9 se me hace un poco injusto, redondeando es un 10.    … Expand

    Truly a masterpiece, couldn't stop playing this gem for a few weeks, there's so much to do whether it be on land, in the sky or underground. The temples are a step up from the divine beasts in BOTW imo and the diversity in the bosses. All the crazy new mechanics too are such a nice addition and just make sense. Absolute must play if you enjoyed BOTW or any games from the franchise.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. As an avid Leyend of Zelda player since I was little I thought I couldn't be more amazed by a game as when Breath of the Wild came out. Now, I'm trying to be as objective as I can... I played Elden Ring and was amazed too, the story, the liberties the graphics, all was fantastic. With this I'd like to add I play a wide range of games in variety (right now playing Baldurs Gate 3 and gosh the rol experience is the best I could ever ask! You can even roll de dices!!), for all tastes and I can enjoy them all If they're good for what it was intended to be.
    So, Tears of the Kingdom. It just can't be better. Since the very day it came out I keep finding new ways to play it and resolve the puzzles. At first when you start in the island in the sky it was so overwhelmingly beautiful! The jump in the start, they way the developers guided even new players of Zelda to familiarize with the mechanics was just so smooth. I already knew most of them because I spent hundred of hours playing BOTW but instead, I was so happy following this very sutil tutorials. We all knew we'll have a sky map and I know many of us player was already flipping with that... but suddenly you could have 2 ways to find what I'm about to talk about. A super easy quest to "oh yes the supervision team is delaying a bit in the south" or you can just randomly bump into it and whichever the way it was for you I know The Depths were this mysterious, a bit scary and overwhelming find! Jumping and diving into the dark, the music, that horn you hear almost when your about to hit the ground in the middle of the absolute darkness felt like "Am I the only one who found this? Was this supposed to be here??" I felt curious and scared, and excited as I began to explore it and it was this whole gigant full *ss Hyrule map but underground and it was like a negative of the one above, both so connected and amazing to explore. So here we are with 3 maps completely free to explore. I really don't know how they manage to deliver such a exquisite game In a relative old console. It's really worthy of recognition!.
    Now, the story had me completely invested emotionally since the start... once you star to realize the story behind the Dragon Tears o gosh, I know we all suffered. I loved that this time they actually gave Zelda an key role. Not just the princes in distress needed to be saved. This was a Zelda making the right and hard decisions all by herself, and She is our main guide through all the game. I won't spoil the rest of the story or the end or main plots, nothing. I just wish more people to play it and be kids again playing with Legos, because that's a bit what this is, all the new mechanics and completely freedom allows you to create amazing things (and some awful ones too... but let's not speak about the horrors happening to the koroks lol).
    I just think nothing will be able to pass my amazement with this game. Every thing was a new gem, even being some stuff so like BOTW... but even stead! I allowed again to be an "adult-kid" and be excited to get home and play and share it with my loved ones and friends... and I think that's all what games are about. That's why I give it a 10/10. Because even trying to be objective and loving other games too, Tears of the Kingdom got out the best in me. A sense of completely happiness. And maybe you could feel it's something silly to say, but it is true. It made my days happier :)    … Expand

The map is the same as that of Breath of the Wild, but the changes to the surface and the addition of the depths and sky islands make the map feel entirely new. What stood out to me the most were the bosses and dungeons. The quests surrounding the dungeons and the build up to them were probably some of the best parts of the game for me, with the bosses being just the icing on the cake. The mystery and puzzles for the 5th dungeon were also great. And after you finish every major quest and make your way to the final boss, the presentation and the fight itself make the build up to it worth it. The final phase is the coolest concept for a video game boss that I have ever seen.

    I wasn't sure how Nintendo would find a way to top their work in Breath of the Wild back when it came out, but I feel they have here – with years of more polish applied and refined exploration. [Issue #66 – July/August 2023, p. 71]

    The good thing is that, thanks to the limited possibilities, the creators couldn't go crazy and swing for hundreds of game miles. Instead, they created what could be called Elden Ring in a travel pack. [Issue#328]

    The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has lived up to the high expectations created by the success of Breath of the Wild with its exquisitely intertwined gameplay systems, outstanding music, and a legendary story culminating in a magnificent denouement. It's not every day that such a special video game like this comes around. Truly the stuff of legend.
