    The plot is quite interesting.
    Very nice graphics. Minuses: A huge amount of grind for upgrades, all-consuming fem agenda, a mechanic with braking off spare parts (for example, you need to break off the tail to death of the car, otherwise the tail will "self-destruct"), although the mechanics can be disabled in the settings. On the latest upgrades of orange things, you need to farm the same creatures over and over again.

    A lot of things have been done "do not give a damn". For example, in one of the skyscrapers you need to get into the room to pick up the ornament, but on the side of the room there is a "wall" made of a fence with cells in 2 Aloy, but you cannot get inside. Invisible walls or the inability to climb where an ordinary person could easily do it in 2022 is very annoying. In one of the side quests, the water simply flows from the "switch" for water, I can't call it anything else. Although even the pipes do not go to the "breaker", only the supports on which it holds.

    Hook-cat breaks the whole gameplay. It would be possible to catch on "over there", but no, crawl around for a few more minutes. And at the end of the game from the obstacles "first pull here and there, and then climb up" starts to feel sick.

    People who, in an ordinary mask, can tank arrows with their heads annoys a lot. Metal vehicles fall apart from the arrows, but people normally tank them (a broken neck says hello), okay. Here you can write off the RPG elements, but it looks bad.

    Machine racing (although there are only 4 of them) are annoying because your machine can simply slow down sharply and stop in a small area, because path-finding is very bad and they don’t know how to jump over obstacles. In the same Witcher 3 (2015, let me remind you), the behavior of the horse is much better and more convenient.

    Even after a few months from the release, there are some bugs, because of which you have to start from the checkpoint.

    Seems like the focus in development was shifted to the fem agenda, rather than the overall quality of the game.

    I beat it on hightest difficulty and I would set 7.5 without taking into the fem agenda, 6.5 with it.
    And if it's GOTY, then the gaming industry of single-player games is in a big trouble.    … Expand

    Game builds upon the 1st in almost every way. Graphics are top notch on PS5 and it runs very smooth at 4k mode. The gameplay is still fun and engaging and the story picks up right where it left off in the 1st one.

    Game is very good, and deserves to be own and played for everyone with PS4/5 now, and on PC in near future (yes ponies, PC is not "enemy platform" coz its like comparing Suzuki Hayabusa to Aston Martin Vanquish). YOU WILL LIKE IT, YOU WILL LOVE IT, especially if u played Zero Dawn. Its one of this generation gem, but 9 or 10 is purely for games that are ABOVE generation. This one is sadly not.    … Expand

    It's fine. Not great, not terrible. Story is quite a bit worse than what the first installment gave us. And characters are a bit one-dimensional this time.

    Everything about this game was great. It went crazy sci-fi, but I was expecting it already after the 1st horizon game fighting robot dinosaurs lol. Loved it! Keep it up!

    The story let this game down for me plus a couple of bugs the locked my out of melee pit and hunting ground missions. Gameplay is solid. The trailer highlighted this issue with blight. unless i missed something the main story didn't end up addressing it.

    Horizon Forbidden West improves upon the first game in every way. The glider, spike thrower, additional mounts, and enhanced inventory and crafting system greatly improve the game play experience from Horizon Forbidden West. The graphics and swimming mechanics are spectacular and top notch. The story is strong, but is not up to the very high standard of the first installment.     I enjoyed every moment of this game, and will be going back for more. The improved upon the first game and told the story in even a better way.

    I had fun, the story moved me, and this was just everything I wanted in a sequel.

    Amazing game. Builds on the first one and adds so many new robots to kill. The story and events dont really matter to me. I just want to kill robot animals and do bad ass things as Aloy. This game is perfect for that! I got the platinum in around 40 hours and really enjoyed it. Not a masterpiece or does anything groundbreaking but an amazing game for your PS5

    This stuff is just way epic. Was a bit concerned they wouldnt be able to reach the same height of storytelling after the first part revealed the big "how did the world become this way" secret. But not only does it deliver in story again, the gameplay and quests have been heavily improved.

    Horizon Forbidden West is a must buy. Beautiful graphics, animations, fun gameplay, good story. The only thing that bothered me were sudden random graphic glitches and bugs but overall excellent.

    In terms of a sequel, this is pretty much perfect. It improves on everything from the first game, but quite a bit, but it doesn't necessarily overstay its welcome like some modern-day open-world games. If you stick to the main quest line it's a relatively tight experience, but you can more than double the amount of time spent in the game's beautiful world if you choose to do side stuff.In terms of a sequel, this is pretty much perfect.     Horizon Forbidden West é um bom jogo no geral. Apresenta alguns problemas com bugs e a dublagem, mas nada fora do comum para um jogo de mundo aberto. A história possui algumas inconsistências, mas ainda assim tem uma boa qualidade. O jogo acerta perfeitamente em construir um universo e dar vida a ele.

    so I have gotten to the final boss, not beat it yet, really loved this game overall, enemy AI is better, stealth is a bit more realistic (enemies spot you if you move around in the stealth grass), I really liked the story, it definitely has a different feel from last game's story, the graphics are amazing, the heavyweight machines are really challenging (i was playing on hard difficulty),so I have gotten to the final boss, not beat it yet, really loved this game overall, enemy AI is better, stealth is a bit more realistic (enemies spot you if you move around in the stealth grass), I really liked the story, it definitely has a different feel from last game's story, the graphics are amazing, the heavyweight machines are really challenging (i was playing on hard difficulty), but the slitherfang (the snake machine) is somewhat easy and I've fought one tremortusk (the elephant machine) and that was from a distance and it was somewhat easy too, the game looks really amazing, I have ran into around 3 bugs, all somewhat minor, one was that I fell through the map while doing a race activity, the other was that I was doing a salvage contract and some unrelated machines caught me, so I went off to do another side activity, when I returned, it didnt let me do the salvage contract, had to load a previous save, and I had one fps drop, I played on the 30fps resolution mode for the entire game and it was mostly a locked 30fps for most of the time… Expand

    Sehr gutes Spiel was man von Anfang bis Ende empfehlen kann.
    Auch der erste Teil war schon bemerkenswert und die Entwickler haben es tatsächlich hier wieder geschafft das hohe Niveau des ersten Teils zu halten.

    Einzig negativ sind mir einige Queststopper aufgefallen, die ich aber mit einem Neuladen des Spielstands beheben konnte.

    Klare Kaufempfehlung :-)

    Basically everything is done better in this game. You can tell a talented and devoted studio was given more resources since the success of the last game. There were a couple issues, like frame rate drops (rare), pop in, and getting wrecked taking damage while you were waiting for your character to stand back up. These have largely been fixed.

    I liked the story. In fact I changed my normal habit of doing all the side content before finishing the main story. I really wanted to see what happened. Some might prefer the story of the last game. But seriously if you thought the last game was worth playing, then play this one. The open world is beautiful.

    Cons, the main character started to get on my nerves. Geralt of Rivia never did by comparison.    … Expand

    I personally really enjoy the main story being told here, it's very current in the age of AI. There's so much to see & do in this game. I've just finished the main story with a good chunk of side story, so far I'm 56hrs in, you could easily get 100hrs from HFW, there's still a lot I haven't seen or done.

    I love the combat in Horizon games, the dynamic with the robots & salvaging gear for upgrades is my favourite, it's a really well designed system.

    My first 10 in a review. This game is really entertaining. I'm having a fantastic time. The amazing graphics really add to the immersive gameplay. I played Horizon Zero Dawn earlier this year and I feel immediately at home again.

Forbidden West came with my PS5 so I decided to give it a chance and I'm very glad I did. It fixed nearly every issue I had with the original game. The combat feels very good and the graphics are great. The 60 FPS performance mode makes me happy. The open world is fun toI didn't have a whole lot of interest in Forbidden West.     Absolutely amazing game. Even better than the first one. Aloy's new adventure is definitely one of the best games you can play on PS5.

    Also, for another time, this place is full of xbot trolls, don't bother with the 0s, we know them...

Horizon is one of those franchises that are very dear to me and I really want to see it succeed, so I really hope they change things up significantly in the next one.     Things I Wasn't Impressed With: The grind is real. Except it's not in leveling up, but rather in gear acquisition and improvement.

    The hunting challenges were a low point in Zero Dawn, but I wasn't surprised they kept them in Forbidden West. But to add fighting pits and arena battles was surprising. At first, the fighting pits and hunting challenges were fairly easy. However, the final set of each (in the lowlands, I believe) were unnecessarily difficult. For the last hunting challenge and arenas, you almost have to turn down the difficulty to make it bearable. For the last fight pit, you need to look up what to do online because the instructions in the game are incorrect (spent about an hour before looking it up online, then tried to revised instructions and completed the fight pit challenges in like 30 seconds each). Gear is locked behind these challenges, so it's important to complete them.

    Gear improvement is a chore. You have to go out of your way (admittedly, creating a "job" makes this pretty easy) to improve your gear and you 100% won't be able to do it by naturally progressing with the story and exploration of the map (couldn't even get my legendary gear to level 2 without creating a job when all I had left was the final story mission).

    No spoilers, but the late game reveal that teases the sequel seemed very " and then..." story writing. I couldn't help but roll my eyes and sigh at it.

    Lastly, machine strike is a garbage game. Developer's keep trying to make the new Gwent. Gwent was a simple game. Machine strike is more complicated than chess. What doofus thought this would be a good idea?    … Expand

    Phenomenal, not perfect.

    Great game play, amazing visuals, HUGE beautiful map, great story, great voice acting, great animations. I've only run into some minor bugs, no big deal. Anything less than 5 is from a child, troll, or someone who is very ignorant.

    Gameplay improvements and visuals are amazing. The new enemy types are cool and welcomed. Alloy is slightly less likeable in this game but the supporting crew makes up for that. i highly recommend this game. 9/10

The side quests are extremely repetitive and boring, and it is never really mixed up like in other games like RDR2, you will always be killing robots and nothing else. Speaking of the combat, it is horrific, highly janky and situational, full of cheap one-hit kills, and you will end up running in circles rolling like a lunatic as you avoid giant machines that will inevitably gangbang you into a stunlock where you can't get away. You can sum up the combat as "run in a circle while dodging and try not to get stunlocked as you take a shot with slo-mo every 5 seconds". I have almost rage-quit this game multiple times, and i never do this. Overall an overrated B-movie that was hyped to the moon and back. It's just ok, fantastic visuals, but a boring story, highly repetitive, no variation, horrible upgrade tree with boring skills, an overly convoluted gear upgrade system, and dreadful glitchy janky combat that was horribly designed.… Expand

    ¿Estás acostumbrado a unos graficos de infarto con fps más que sobrados?, este juego no va a suplir tus espectativas gráficas y sobre todo de rendimiento. En cuanto a la jugabilidad, mecánicas, ambientación, juzguen cada uno según sus gustos.

    Cuando arranco el juego por primera vez, reviso las opciones gráficas y solo encuentro: modo rendimiento / modo resolución, asi qué decido ponerlo a modo rendimiento, ya que en 2022 jugar a 30fps me resulta imposible y nauseabundo (bendita ignorancia a los gamers que se conforman con 30fps en pleno 2022). Mi sorpresa es ver una fluidez de 60fps con una representación gráfica esperpéntica, con dientes de sierra (aliasing) por las nubes, distancia de dibujado aunque buena, muy lejos de una nitidez aceptable y una paleta de colores disonantes por momentos.

    La verdad y QUE NO OS MIENTAN el juego no se ve minimamente aceptable en cuanto a gráficos se refiere en modo rendimiento, está manchado por un reescalado que a mi parecer es de 720... ¡Te puedes imaginar! ¡Un desastre! En resolución el juego es perfecto, es gráficamente imponente y a la altura, pero corre con suerte a 30fps! por lo que a mi, se me hace en 2022 injugable. Digo 30fps por ser generoso, se me hacen unos 25fps con suerte...

    Me parece lamentable que corra en PS5 a 30 fps en modo resolución ¡y menos mal que el título es intergeneracional!... Sin duda espero que en unos años pueda jugarlo en PC y DLSS activado en ultra, calidad gráfica en ultra y entre 100fps y 144fps (que menos en 2022) o saquen un parche que solucione todo este embrollo para PS5...

    Asique:

    - Si eres de los que les gusta ver juegos a 30 fps y te parece la ostia, adelante, compralo el juego es entretenido.
    - Si no te gusta un reescalado para los 60fps, no lo compres, espera a PC si lo sacan o parche...

    Por último comentar que personalmente a mi el juego me parece una pasada en ambientación, jugabilidad, mecanicas, etc, y solo manchado por el reescalado y optimización que nada tiene que ver con los videos del state of play.

    Me preocupa mucho que muy poca gente, analistas y "expertos" no mencione todo esto... Lamentable como de costumbre.

    Le pongo un 0 por ahora, hasta que solucionen el tema del reescalado que me hace injugable este titulo. (YA SOLUCIONADO CON UN PARCHE)

    I had too high expectations for this game in terms of graphics. The graphics in quality mode are amazing, probably making the game the best looking ever. But the graphics in performance mode are significantly worse. Looks like PS5 is not powerful enough to provide you with both amazing graphics and performance.     What an amazing game. I experienced slight glitches day one but amazing game. The story, open world, and graphics are a masterpiece in its own right. A sequel that beats the original in every way. It would be an essential game for all players.

    Fantastic game with a beautiful world, creative side stories & the main story that surpasses many mainstream movies & shows. Works brilliantly on PS4 with minor hiccups. Definitely a worthwhile successor that surpasses the original.

The characters are written with so much care and depth that people COMPLAIN about to much info which alot of is optional the NPCs and side characters are written to the point where you care about them in a mission I played the two characters where feuding and I had to choose who to side with I chose the one over the other because of what I learned from him by listening to the dialogue and how he felt about me%Aloy and his people. Its doesn't really impact the. Game but a difficult choice that requires some thought if you like either of the characters. Horizon has some problems too but my essay is getting quite big so briefly I would like the combat to be expanded on more. We need more variety with in the various activities, machine strike is fun but needs more depth. Keep the climbing mechanic as it is but make more things climb able and the focus should highlight more things to interact with, thank you guerilla for that though. The bugs and glitches are a result of development under Covid and Quarantine so I won't consider them in the review at all but they are small so they don't effect your game play at all and performance is rock solid on ps4 and PS5. I can't wait to see what lies beyond the Horizon of Horizon Forbidden West.     I'm speechless, i've never seen something like this. Forbidden west reaches new heights approaching perfection, but what really amazed me was the quality of the facial animations, not that the rest is any less but on this it set a new standard

    I fell in love with you this game. After I played the first one I knew I would be a fan of the series the concept and gameplay was amazing to begin with. The skill tree was kinda cool felt a little over complicated, and it didn’t blow me away. Now onto the plot. The main reason I’m obsessed with this game is because of the amazing concept behind it. I couldn’t explain to you how cool it was. Through out my whole play through I was searching through every piece of lore I could get. Usually in a video game I just get a journal entry and think to my self “oh cool” with out reading it. Not this game though every datapoint has an interesting story behind it. Of course I have to say something about the amazing graphics. This was pretty much my one next gen console experience and I was blown away. At the end of the game you get a flyable mount and the view is spectacular. Out of the whole game there was only one thing that felt not up to par. It was the ending it just felt weird like it’s trying to just make up stuff on the fly. It did give a nice resolution with the characters though.     The story is some kind of uninteressting, with a few nice twists, but the conversations in the base with my "friends" are somthing lame. I kind of dont connect with all of them and thats because Aloy also dont care. She has always the same face (i would say resting b*tch face syndrome) with the same facial expression. I wanted to love Horizon, both of them. I wanted Aloy to be my female Link, as a protagonist with an awesome Bow and fighting skills. But it fails to deliver these feelings to me. Overall a pretty game for me, but after i finish it, i will never touch it again. Maybe i will buy the third installment in a few years to finish the complete story of Horizon.

The dialogues are drawn-out and the side mission are tedious without adding much to the world, since the first part already uncovered most mysteries. There are many unnecessary maschine fights which feel artifical: Its used as an easy and cheap obstacle to many times, even if its just illogical for the maschines to appear at exact that moment in the mission. And it will happen in nearly every mission. The first minigames and collectibles are nice, but they become boring very early.

    The gameplay is a bit expanded, but most things are unnecessary, especially if you play on lower difficulty levels. My advice: Play mostly the main story and do side quest only to level up. At the end, you are still free to do all the side quests and will have an easier time doing it because of unlocked mechanics. Although you probably will abandon this game way before you have done everything, if I had to guess.

    Nonetheless, I wanted to know what mystery was behind the ending of zero dawn, and therefore played it to a great extent. That being said, I will definitely neither play the anounced/teasered third part of the series nor the DLC.    … Expand

    This game is incredible. The world is so dense not just in terms of plants but in terms of animals. The underwater sections are done so well and are a real innovation, the world traversal is like a separate game in its own right.

    The incredible usage of the Decima engine is combined with horrendous NPCs due to questionable design, hairdos and clothing. Aloy's is also affected by this, especially if you take a look at how beautiful Hannah Hoekstra is, IMO the uglifying process went way too far, no idea if this is due to Agenda or "realism" but the NPCS sometimes look like caricatures and Aloy looks like a developer messed up on purpose with the face of a beautiful girl to content some gamer segment.
    If having such less visual appeal on the NPCS was not enough, their dialogs are dull and the main char is totally one dimensional on her relationships with them, 'I have no time for this'.
    Hence you get disconnected very fast and end up not caring at all about them. This adds on top of a mild main story with uncharismatic new enemies ripped off from Deus Ex Human Revolution.
    Even the decisions that the player can make have no impact and some of the romantic interest you can start get obliterated d by the infamous Burning Shores DLC.
    The mini-games (e.g. racing, arenas) are atrocious and this game really needs a z-targeting system if they want to focus on human against human combats.

    IMO the best moments of this game happen while exploring the map or beating some huge dinobots.

    Also all the patches released until now help a lot on the experience and add a lot of QOL options    … Expand

And the game is absolutely gorgeous. The combat is really fun and the variety of machines to fight is insane.
    The platinum is also fairly easy to get if you are interested in those things.

    It takes a little longer to get into it then I would’ve liked but once I got hooked I really got hooked, yesterday I got the platinum and today when I tried to finish sifu or play elden ring i got bored of those real quick and I went right back to horizon to just explore some more and hunt machines cause the moment to moment gameplay is just that much fun 9.5/10 but I can’t give that score

    Contents: 10/10, amazing world, amazing side quests, good errands and contracts, ruins are fun to explore and puzzles are also fun to solve...

    Apesar de ser uma série de jogos com a dificuldade acima da média atual AAA, o jogo te dá muitos recursos para cumprir os desafios. Alguns tipos de arco, lançador de virote, lançador de dardo, lançador de bomba e mais algumas outras armas, e todas essas com variados tipos de dano elemental.
    História mais densa e muito bem contada, arco principal muito bem conectado com o jogo anterior. Expande a relação de Aloy com o velho mundo, parte mais interessante do enredo na minha opinião.
    Mais destaque nos personagens coadjuvantes. Tem uma base em que Aloy pode conversar com seus aliados e fazer missões secundárias.
    O mundo é vivo e reage as consequência das missões realizadas.
    Alguns probleminhas foram em situações de plataforma e em pontos de interação que tiveram imprecisões.

    In the graphic section, the detail of all the machines, textures, facial animations and everything is tremendous.
    But having liked the first game, I don't connect with the franchise, it's okay but I think PS5 has better games than this for my taste

    One point off because the save system is just plain old-fashioned. There is no reason to punish players when they die (or have to restart cause of bugs!), but that's exactly how it feels when you get thrown way back because you just forgot to run to the stupid campfires in the flow. This doesn't generate any added value for anyone.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. LOVED IT, one of the most beatiful open world ever made.
    The Forbidden West is outstanding graphically and so well detailed.
    Aloy grow up like a character and the story is another big mistery that haunt you to search the answer.
    The enemies here are not a weak minded tribe that is deceived by an artifical intelligence, here the enemy is the MAN of the future with stronger weapons and mind; the sense of weakness of the character that use a bow against immortal soldiers with indestructible shields and cannons is BRILLIANT.
    The new machines are beautifiul and uniques and the gameplay finally evolved with new skill trees very detailed.
    All that was done in the first game is now not better, it reached nearly perfection.
    I don't give full score for that damn cliffhanger finale.    … Expand

    Ein Meisterwerk wie schon der erste Teil.
    Die Geschichte kommt zwar nicht ganz an den ersten ran aber trotzdem 10 von 10.
    Der DLC Burning Shores war auch sehr gut.
    Freu mich schon auf den dritten Teil.

    Amazing game. Harder than the first one. Great graphics and story. Took me 100 hours to finish with 100% of trophies and never got tired of it.

    They have really outdone themselves!
    They have taken everything that was good from the last game and made it better.
    They took everything that was bad from the last game and improved upon it.

    I think the skill trees were pretty pointless... I didn't use half of the skills that were on there.

    Jogo bem divertido e desafiador, prefiro jogar no nível hard. Peca um pouco em diálogos desnecessários mas tirando isso, é um ótimo jogo

    Great game but does have some small issues with people appearing out of nowhere and jumping through ledges . Storyline is awesome and loving it and the graphics are phenomenal . August 22 , earlier bugs have all gone , this keeps getting better and better .

    Horizon has enchanted me again. After a slow start, a graphically beautiful, sophisticated sequel comes, polished in every aspect, and underscored by a great soundtrack on top of that. The sequel was simply a success. Everything that worked before works even slightly better now. [Issue#317]

    Horizon Forbidden West is Guerrilla's best game to date, taking Aloy to new heights with a blockbuster release that meets the high standards set by PlayStation in recent years. While it's totally worth fans jumping in on day one, it's perhaps better to wait a few weeks until all the bugs are ironed out.

    Horizon Forbidden West is exactly what everyone thought it would be: an amazing game. It has an open world with plenty of things to do and places to explore, fights against some really well-developed machines and stunning visuals. The feeling is that the second game of the series improves on what was already great, and it feels rewarding and fun to play. It is another single-player masterpiece from Sony.
