    Update resolved all the issues I had with the game. Very positive that the devs are listening to the community, I will be playing this game for years to come.

    Great game as of v1.11 and shows that Polyphone understood they made a mistake and are rectifying it - in terms of gameplay and the current state of the game it is great and the game has a bright future ahead of it!

So...as you can see from the other reviews microtransactions and always online are ever so present in this game and it obviously brings about some very unfavorable feelings. The actual game though like playing it is pretty spectacular. Great tuning options and courses and layouts are sweet. Weather is so nuce too. But PD and Sony really are going to regret what theyve done with this game...a lot of longtime fans are giving up on it. Deservingly so. Servers are currently down for who knows what...but hey KoFXV just shadow dropped DLC...so more time for that now. :) Also gtplanet forums have some dope memes about the mess this is. And...a ton of ppl arguing on the internet too...so...yea...… Expand

    Bad points= There was alot of hype about the weather and how great the clouds were, but the elephant in the room is unless you are driving using the in car view you cant see it starting,stopping or actually raining at all. If you use any other view you can hear the rain and notice the track getting getting darker in colour but you cant see any rain failing so if you play with the volume low you suddenly find the car sliding about. If you look to the left bottom side of the screen theres a icon showing how much standing water is on the track. To be fair once theres a lot of water on track you can see puddles. Other games have done the weather effects better on previous gen consoles. For a nex gen ps5 console game it looks like to much time was focused on the cars looking great and everyone forgot to notice that playing using any view but in car that no rain could be seen failing. Apart from the graphics overhaul,sound improvement, tweaked handling, the game seems stuck in a time loop and hasn't moved on. At present the servers are down and because you need a online connection it can't be played properly.
    Not enough cars, more expensive to buy the cars, trying to get you to buy real money in game credits to progress. Cut down amount of one player races. The cars can't be sold like on previous GT etc
    A missed opportunity tbh considering how big a budget, how big the resources are of the developer it could of been so much better.
    Im old enough to be around when GT1 was originally launched and it was ground breaking at the time and over versions and time it improved. ive spent thousands of hours playing all the GT games and i hate to say it but im disappointed considering i bought the ps5 because GT7 only months away from coming out.
    I remember when Driveclub was released and it was down scored because of the sheer demand for the game the servers would crash, but at least the one player game was still playable if you didn't have a internet connection. Talking of Driveclub id say the weather effects are still better the GT7 at present.    … Expand

    Coming from GT5, which was generally lacklustre for me, I hoped that GT7 would fare better.

    There have been great improvements in graphics and sound (finally!) of the cars, and the game has a nice selection of well detailed cars. However, the prices for cars, coupled with low payouts and the inability to sell any unwanted cars, shows that the game was built with microtransactions in    Coming from GT5, which was generally lacklustre for me, I hoped that GT7 would fare better.

    Access to desired features (GT Auto, Brand Central) was curiously sandbagged until much later in the game, which to me, only serves to add to the difficulty of play for the first few hours.

    On top of that, within the span of two weeks, the game has been unable to run properly, with now two significant updates to fix bugs. Moreover, it's presently unplayable even in singleplayer, due to errors with servers and the fact that even singleplayer MUST be online.

    Overall, this had the makings of a great game, but at nearly $90 for the Anniversary Edition and $60.00 for standard, being unplayable/non-functional after only two weeks of being out? Look elsewhere.    … Expand

Then we go a whole day with servers down with almost no communication only to come back a day later when they're up to find out they've cut rewards so we make even less money now. We all know this is due to their microtransactions.     The servers are terrible, the maintenance are a mess, you can't play if you are offline and the most important issue is that in game credits are nerf to incentivate players to pay real money for them.

This is something you might expect from free-to-play shovelware, but not from a full-price game pushed heavily by Sony.     The other complaint is 'microtransactions'. Please be careful in trusting what you read in the negative reviews. I've seen comparisons to an FTP mobile game. This is nonsense. There is the option to add credits via microtransactions, but they there is absolutely no requirement to put in your real money to progress.

    There is a significant amount of entitlement from users review bombing the game, people want the rarest most expensive cars in their garage within days of buying the game. If you do too, then this might not be the game for you. You have to put in time to buy the best cars. As it should be in my opinion.

    People who remember playing early Gran Turismo's will know. You used to have to grind an oval track over and over again to tune your cap car, only to buy another crap car and start the grind all over again. In comparison, on GT7, I've got 750,000 credits in the bank, been gifted 40+ cars in my garage I haven't even used yet, and you get gifted cars to use in the next stage of each campaign so you don't even have to buy a new car when you move car class. I haven't had to buy a new car yet to progress. Not a single one. So if you see people saying "I've played all games in the series and this is predatory etc etc"... Ignore it, they're lying.

    Now onto the game. It's great, the racing is great, the feeling of the cars is great, the game looks absolutely brilliant. The only racing game where I can happily sit and watch the replays of every race I do. It has great tuning options and some nice modding options. Livery creation and sharing is fantastic, and the showcase photo mode is really nice to experiment with.

    If you like racing games and have played and enjoyed previous GT games then it'd worth getting. If you like racing games but want every car unlocked within the first fortnight of owning the game with minimal effort, it's probably not for you.

    My own complaint would be the length of the campaign currently. You can smash through it, and then just carry on with races that aren't part of the campaign or create your own races. If you like racing, like I do, that's fine, it's extremely enjoyable to play. If you need a campaign path for the game to stay relevant to you then again, this may not be for you. For now. I say for now, because they will be adding more content in the future. Maybe give it a year and revisit the game then to see what new content has been added to the game. Summary, ignore the ridiculously low user scores, they do not paint any sort of realistic picture about the game. If you just like racing and don't mind working towards earning new cars, then you'll love this game.

    If you want everything from the start and only want to race a few races to be able to afford the most expensive car in the game, then this won't be for you.    … Expand

    Game is awesome, and there is a lot of things to do.
    One point I agree, single player requires constant internet conection, but, a lot of other games requires too.....

    After finishing MENU You get like 80 different cars from the game, there is lots of cars You get for free just for progress. Both compact cars / rally /track cars and supercars. You don't have to pay a penny to get all of this.     It was and still is a great racing game. Stunning cars but somewhat sloppy on the rest. For instance when it get dark it's like someone hits a lightswitch. Some challenges within the same difficulty are really simple and some impossible (or almost). It is a shame that they haven't put more effort in actually teaching people how to race.

    Amazing game! It has the looks of GT Sport and the gameplay of the classic GT classics. While you do need to be online to play the full game, long maintenance waits are rare. The gameplay has a new, refreshing concept.

    Been playing GT games since the original. 3 being my favorite, 7 a close second. Don't read into the BS 0 scores, people got pissed because of one update that took 24hrs on the same day Japan had a massive earthquake. Gt7 is amazing.

    Es ist schwer zu unterscheiden ob man GT SPORT oder GT7 spielt. Grafisch ist Flop trotz Ray Tracing. Beim Arcade Spielen braucht man ständig Internet Verbindung aber warum! FPS ist nicht immer stabil!

    Honesty, we haven't had a gran turismo game since the 6th instalment in like 2013, and although this game had its very buggy moments that lasted more than a day. I'm sure we can skip past that and just accept what we have and how great it is, with new cars, community favourite tracks and more. This game is worth the grind with its challenges and missions.

    It has everything I dreamed of gran turismo to become. Yes, it is grinding and seems unfair but the old games has always been grinding and I really feel that with this one, they nicely balanced things out. Or maybe I’m buyest on this one. I’ve always loved the Gran Turismo series and really been up to that grind on collecting the cars. IDK I like it

    Phenomenal game. It’s everything I ever expected and more. There are a few bugs I’ve noticed here and there, but nothing that prevents playtime & never interferes with the experience. It’s kept me absolutely glued to my TV since launch. As a car enthusiast, I appreciate everything about this game. Thank you to Kazunori Yamauchi for creating this masterpiece.

The incredible weather and day/night simulation along with region specific weather and star constellations adds a level of immersion and fine detail. If your goal is collect every car then the MTX in this game make it almost impossible not to spend real money, BUT collecting was designed to be only a small aspect of the game. Racing m, learning tracks and finding the right balance between car and upgrades/mods, is what Gran Turismo 7, and every GT game, has always been about.… Expand

But when you're engrossed in a race, trying desperately to get that 3rd place to progress, you won't notice.

    I've not been playing for long, only got 30 cars or so. Two I won on the 'lottery', so although you often 'win' the lowest credit amount it does give you some nice rewards. I've yet to not be able to progress because I ran out of credits. You don't need every car and so far found you don't need to spend much on upgrades to be winning races.

    I'm sure it'll get harder and the credits will need to be spent wisely later on, but I really don't see a need to spend anything on MTX later. As for the always online? Well I am always online anyway, so I don't mind.

    Is it a 10/10 game? No, maybe 8.5/10?. Why did I rate it 10/10? To try and counter the ridiculous review bombing going on.

    O jogo é incrível, joguei o 1 e 2 na época do PS1, e depois não curti mais nenhum, até agora.
    GT7 está maravilhoso, principalmente no Playstation 5.
    Uma pena a empresa adotar esse sistema de microtransação, mas isso compra quem quer, ninguém é obrigado, jogando de boas aqui já estou com 400k no game, e jogo casualmente.
    Se não fosse isso eu daria nota máxima com certeza.

The whole credits issue- it's slightly annoying but that really can't spoil the entire game. This game is speculated to last the next 6-7 years, essentially until the next mainstream PlayStation is to release so there should be lots of content for players to get through, and right now, that is the case. The game is slightly limited when you first start off, but once you're on your way it only gets more fun. This is from someone who got into Gran Turismo only at the launch of GTS, so maybe I'm not entirely correct, but still this is a game worth playing. It’s still the same beautiful racing masterpiece that it was before the update. Sure, it will take a few more races/credits to purchase the more expensive cars, but that could also prevent us from growing bored of the game sooner by obtaining them more easily. Prior to the update, I was pretty impressed with how quickly I was earning credits with minimal effort anyway.

    People worked incredibly hard to make this game as good as it is, and it’s impossible to deliver something that is flawless and pleases everyone. Leadership may not have had the best judgement in this situation, but it doesn’t completely negate the majority of what makes this game great. Prior to the release of this game, I only owned a PS3 that I barely used 2-3 times a year to play GT6. GT7 was the reason I purchased a PS5, and it has reignited my passion for the series and gaming in general.

I Really like the way of upgrading cars - You can choose to install fully customisable manual or sequential transmission. Earlier upgrading transmission meant only going sequential. Also like the idea of buying exclusive cars - You have to get an invitation to be able to buy one. Also the used car lot isGreat graphics, great driving physics.     In Game Käufe habe ich bis jetzt nicht tätigen müssen und habe 51h Spielzeit. Wenn man nicht ständig das Geld was man in rennen aufgibt und vernünftig wirtschaftet hat man eig keine Credit Not. Ist ein guter GT Teil. Online Zwang ist unnötig und dumm. Insgesamt eher gut als schlecht

    Solid gameplay and customization options, great selection of cars each feels different.

    Enough modes and tracks to keep you racing. Menus can be a bit outdated but have great content. Visuals and lighting are very impressive. License tests are challenging and fun. Simply a must own on PS5 if you like racing games.

Con este juego tengo sensaciones encontradas, por una parte me gusta que haya vuelto a sus orígenes con el modo gran turismo pero es incomprensible la manera de avanzar con sus micro transacciones y que para jugar a la campaña tengas que estar conectado a sus servidores y que el día que los cierren si no lo cambian el juego será de adorno y poco más.     Definetly the best Motor Racing game I've played on a console.
    I've had every Gran Turismo and Forza and the game play, physics, graphics and information are amazing.
    People who rely on Microtransactions, deserve to pay a premium as it is effectively a cheat way.

The tracks have always been the best designed for techincal racing IHMO and the online racing portion is by far the best in the industry. It's like an automotive theme park for real world cars in the most amazing tracks, and soon, hopefully, for the Vision Gran Turismo cars again. The level of attention to detail and perfection is really breathtaking.

    The game itself could be very good, but microtransactions from hell are ruining it. Cars can cost up to 200$ - this is no joke. Grinding these credits has been made more time consuming with the latest patch, which is just a joke.

    Edit: They reacted and made it more easy to earn money, they will implement selling cars, too. Im fine with that.

    Great gameplay and a fantastic driving model is locked behind a predatory microtransaction based economy, what was a suspicion was verified in patch 1.07 when most race rewards were cut significantly.
    Café missions provide around 2-4 hours of good gameplay, however once these are completed you find yourself with little in the way of single player races, licences and circuit experiences provide some additional gameplay but at a significant difficulty hike which to casual users may prove frustrating.
    Online mode is still limited to 3 daily (weekly) races with the occasional championship and open lobbies, I think much of the community would have appreciated a general matchmaking race system and/or the ability to populate open lobbies with AI to create meaningful online races with a full grid.

    In conclusion (If Gran Turismo was your chosen flavour of racing), for offline play try GT6, for online play try GT Sport, IMO GT7 current does a worse job at both the aforementioned titles.    … Expand

    Solid GT. Great graphics. Dual sense controller makes it a lot more fun. Being online-only sucks. Everyone complains about the cost of cars but that’s kind of the point of the game. If you could buy the fastest cars immediately what would the fun be?

    They also added an invitation system to get certain cars from certain brands which isnt that bad and on paper actually sounds pretty good. How these invites work is that you get one each 2 weeks but they also expire after those 2 weeks so you are forced to grind for those cars or else you'll need to wait god knows how long until you get another invitation for that brand of cars but with how micro transactions are forced down your throat this just feels like another way to make you buy more credits which just gets me mad.

    Gran Turismo 7 tiene todo lo mejor que tuvo Gran Turismo Sport con respecto al Online y su modo competitivo, con todo lo mejor que ofrecieron los primeros GT en cuanto a campaña, no solo es el mejor simulador de autos en el mercado sino también de los mejores juegos de carros y en general uno de los mejores juegos que han aparecido en el mercado, vale completamente la pena.

    GT7 is a refreshing return to the series' roots, with the classic formula being melded with the engine advances between 5,6 & Sport to create the best console sim experience ever.

    Gran Turismo 7 isn't a departure, but rather a newer, shinier GT game. Its physics model is accurate, and while the racing can be formulaic it's always a giggle. The attempt at humanity is a bit cringe,the lack of up-to-date cars seems like an open goal missed

Too few tournaments to win cars and ingame money. Duplicate cars cannot be sold either. New tracks would have been great too. Instead they incorporated the same old routes and built actual new ones.     The graphics, gameplay, and intricate details surrounding cars and racing are amazing. Plenty of realism, plenty of different things to do that approach almost any style of play from the hardcore racer to the car enthusiast that just likes to take pictures.

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]
