    This game is probably the best racing you can get but it is a problem that when servers are down there isn’t much too entertain you until there back up. Micro transactions are all optional and playing the campaign you are given a lot of cars. It would be better if they weren’t there but they aren’t intrusive.

    The game is amazing and the economy within which was made an utter cash grab by an update has been since reverted to a much more enjoyable state, so feel free to go check yourself.

    Nearly perfect game overall. The review bombing happened because initially the in-game payments were very low and it was extremely hard to buy new cars, so it looked like the developer was pushing people to micro transactions. Fortunately they realised their mistake and now the issue has been fixed.

    Im about 100hrs in and not a dime spent so far.....i think people here are overreacting. Been a while since a game has hooked me like this and with further tweaks this will only get better.
    People need to actually play the game before reacting.

    Such amazing improvement over GT sport, the menus imo need a revamp but the gameplay is top notch, the graphics and sound design are top tier quality as well. Note this game isn’t the typical racing game like forza or NFS, this game is for car fanatics and racing fanatics and best played with the wherl although the haptics of the dualsense are some of the best i’ve tried on ps5.     My goodness, this was not a good start for this game. Online troubles, nerfs, microtransactions really harmed this game. Even though this game is quite good. It's not a perfect game, but it's a great and entertaining racing game.

    The first GT I played was GT3 on PS2. A great game, and GT7 reminds me a bit of this old game. The licenses, the trials are still great to do. It's not a perfect game, but it's a great and entertaining racing game.

    The first GT I played was GT3 on PS2. A great game, and GT7 reminds me a bit of this old game. The licenses, the trials are still great to do. And for me, with my terrible skillz, quite challenging. The addition of the menu books provides a nice kind of story to follow along and progress slowly but surely. When you've done that, you have some nice cars, a bit of money and are ready to collect more cars. If you spend time getting to know the tracks (since update 1.11 also making you money), you will get better and better. Which is good, because online racing is also nice to do.

    All in all, this is a great racing game. It has that old GT feeling, at least for me, some of the old tracks are back and look better than ever. The cars handle great (for the most part) or you can tune them to make them at least drivable.

    EDIT: the only really annoying thing are the tickets. Why do I only win the lowest possible cash prize?    … Expand

    With 1.07 patch the game has become even more microtransaction intensive. This removes almost all the fun from the game. In a nutshell, you can't progress without paying disgusting amounts of real money.

    Horrible online-only requirement, even for the single player campaign. The game is completely useless unless their servers remain up. Also, they keep nerfing the ability to earn credits to force you into buying credits with real money.

    Paid $150 AUD for the special edition only to be strong-armed into purchasing MTX. Such a shame what happened to this great franchise. At least the driving is rock solid.

    Great game with a bright future. Will not buy any mtx and I get that this is a long haul game and I'm here for that. My few issues are:

    The daily challange rewards are bad. It's always the lowest prize! Sp content should be playable during server maintenance. When the servers close in the future is the game unplayable foreverd?

The cars look fantastic and are enjoyable to drive. Tuning is fun and makes a great difference on the performance of your car. Story mode with the menu books is a bit on the short side, but that’s fine with me. I hope they will add new cars and new circuits soon in upcoming updates.… Expand

    Firstly the game feels really good to play and the races generally feel exciting... Edge of the seat stuff especially on the 'Ring with varying weather conditions. Scapes mode as good as ever has been extended to add more scenes. Single player is great giving you a breadth of experiences in different cars and tracks. Love the cafe card idea and gives you a wealth of varying classes andFirstly the game feels really good to play and the races generally feel exciting...     Recommended if you love the series and are happy to accept the couple of points above. Best Gran Turismo yet in terms of the racing and handling. Had more exciting racing in this against the AI than any other GT so far.    … Expand

    Muito rage com um jogo que é uma homenagem ao automobilismo.
    Tem sim um pouco de grind, mas nada que estrague a experiencia.
    Gráficos incriveis, fisica bem aplicada, possibilidade de tunning, partidas online com regras e punicoes claras. AI avançada, nao parecendo um maluco qualquer.

    I'm being harsh because this is not the game I've waited 10 years for. While the graphics, physics, and tuning are exceptional so much else is far from it. Why the hell is there roulette tickets in my GT game? They've Forza Motorspoted this thing to hell. It's obvious they're pushing us towards the online portion of the game with the mandatory online funtion and dreaded MTX's, both of which have no place in a single player GT game, and now it's even worse since they gimped the payouts, and made it grindy like it's GTA online. The whole used car system is ridiculous, just make all the cars available, and what pencil pushing dido in marketing came up with Brand Central? It's disgusting and crass consumerism infiltrating our experience. This world is going to hell in a hand cart and those hand carts are all bought with MTX's.… Expand

    J'ai payé ce jeu 99 EUR, je viens de le désinstaller. Je retourne sur les Forza.
    On verra si les déclarations de Kazunori Yamauchi débouchent sur des corrections concrètes.
    Le jeu vaut peut-être un 5, mais je veux m'assurer que les promesses seront tenus :

    I rarely give games a 10, but I feel like this game deserves it. With most of the original complaints addressed, I feel the game is in its best place at the moment. I literally bought my PS5 just because of this game and its also the only one I have a platinum trophy for as I just love it so much.

    It's a celebration of cars and has hours upon hours of gameplay. If you enjoyed past GT    I rarely give games a 10, but I feel like this game deserves it. With most of the original complaints addressed, I feel the game is in its best place at the moment. I literally bought my PS5 just because of this game and its also the only one I have a platinum trophy for as I just love it so much.

    It's a celebration of cars and has hours upon hours of gameplay. If you enjoyed past GT games or just love the history of cars and want that unique feel and sound from each one through the wonderful duelsense controller, this is hands down the best experience you will get.

    Grane evolução desde o GT1. De cara percebemos que precisaremos ser técnico no jogo para ter êxito. A cada corrida, nos sentimos com mais vontade de jogar. Dominar o carro é desafiador. Os efeitos do dualsnese no jogo são incríveis. Som 3d fantástico. O verdadeiro simulador de corridas.
    Poderia ter mais capricho nos cenários fora das pistas...

    there's still a lot of room for improvement, but there have definitely been a lot of upgrades and favorable things that came from this game.
    i have finished the cafe mode and it was pretty fun, and im excited to play the online and sport mode.
    although the always online is a bummer.

    Boa Ambientação. Conteúdo ok, mas falta um modo singleplayer onde o jogador possa organizar seu próprio torneio e os sistemas de recompensa e farm são muito ruins.
    Gráficos bons, mas faltou mais capricho e detalhamento com o interior dos carros. Campanha boa. Jogabilidae boa.

    I really don’t understand all the criticism - this is the most realistic and satisfying racing game I’ve played to date. Lots of content, everything oozes of quality. Driving with a wheel is very well done and great fun.

    Sure, they had added microtransactions, but those are not required to complete the game. I’ve finished the game and did not need to grind.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. To start off, I'm a big fan of the Gran Turismo series, so I was hyped to see this game release on the PS4 (I don't have the PS5). There's been 8 years between GT6 and GT7, and 4 years between GT Sport and GT7, so Polyphony had to show something for that time.

    Pros: The driving physics are completely revamped, and feel far more realistic than GT Sport. No traction control on cars are bearable, curbs are a concern, wet weather driving is wonderful, etc. It definitely brings the Gran Turismo series closer towards proper sim racing games like Asseto Corsa. Progression is gradual, and you aren't handed a supercar from the start (unlike Forza). The used car dealership is a really nice addition, as well as the legendary dealership (with real-life pricing from Hagerty, which I'll get into later). There are some license tests that carry difficulty (e.g. final tests from License A and up, especially the final license of the game), the AI has been dramatically improved and are quite competitive at times. Not all the tracks have wet weather, but for the ones that does, it is wonderfully done. You'll have to worry about aquaplaning, tire grip, etc. The realism was increased a lot for GT7.

    Cons: The car list can be a bit sparce. Besides the 324 cars coming from GT Sport, only about 100 or so more were added to GT7. It's a far cry from even the 700 or so that were in GT4, which feels a bit of a letdown, but at the same time these cars are given far more quality than ever. Also, with the car list, car dealerships (including the Legendary one) needs to rotate far more often. There's too many cars locked away with a slow moving dealership. Then there's three big cons:

    Microtransactions and online-only. The microtransactions are overblown in the media, they aren't that bad. You can still easily grind a lot of money to buy new, fancy cars. Going back to Hagerty-pricing, while I find it interesting, I can understand some finding it frustrating. It just means you'll need to grind more for cars, which I'm not entirely angry for since grinding for unique cars has been a thing even back in Gran Turismo 4 days. None of these really-expensive cars are necessary to be competitive, they're more or less trophies for your hard work.
    What scares me more is online-only. Because Polyphony has a habit of shutting off servers for old Gran Turismo games, I'm afraid that either Polyphony would need to maintain servers no matter what, or GT7 would be essentially gone in the dust once its lifecycle is gone.

    I know menus are practically career mode for GT7, but there needs to be more in the game once all the menus are complete. What happened to the A-Spec/B-Spec championships that were around for GT5/GT6? The missions are pretty nice, but besides that, there's a lack of content beyond the menus. I hope future updates rectify this.

    Overall it is an excellent game. There are notable flaws, but that's just expected with new games nowadays. Game-as-a-service business model has taken over and GT7 needs to adapt to survive. It needs microtransactions because $60/$70 for a AAA game is becoming unfeasible, but raising these prices would cause hell with consumers, which is why game prices has been so stagnant since the 90s. And within the changing market, it's a way for not only Polyphony to make more profit but to survive in a cutthroat market space.    … Expand

    - We now have BOTS (lookup clubmanSharp) we can use over remote play from a pc easily if credits are a concern. 10million in one night of sleep. Fine for me, should be fine with collectors as well now. Thats a TON of game money.
    - the story    This is for feb 2023 gt7. NOT release date gt7. I passed on the game for forever until now on a 39$ sale, and what I think “now” its an awesome game!

    - the story lets you use almost, any car you like mostly and you get a ridiculous # of free cars during. So not sure what the remedial post just recently is babbling.
    - Fidelity is AAA. No slow downs and not blocky textures. Super clean game

    There was a 30 hour outage of the servers which accounta for many of the low scores. Anti -piracy techniques nowadays required an "alway on connection" which a lot of people "don't get". But yeah, if you require that connection, a 30 hour downtime isn't really acceptable. 5 9's uptime please!

    A lot of the other low scores are reflecting the studio's decision to cut the payout in half for several races under the guise of wanting to stop people boringly racing the same race over and over to grind cash to buy cars. You cant do that, as the (at the time of writing) 2.8 user score suggests. However, I've played GT since the first one. The progression to me has always been win a race, get some money and them upgrade the car a little bit. I can still do that so I don't mind the payout cut. Micro transactions are optional and not in your face.    … Expand

    As a long fan of the GT series I would say this is the best entry since GT4. I was surprised at the overall quality and passion put into the career mode after it was stripped back in GT Sport and long gone are the days of GT 5's and GT 6's premium and standard cars. A really fun game that reminds me of the roots of the series.

    Amigos de metacritic, Gran Turismo ha vuelto. No le pongo un 10 porque creo que gráficamente se le debe exigir más aun juego en pleno 2022, pero es la experiencia que todo fan de Gran Turismo quería sin ninguna duda.

    Un excellent jeu de course, un vrai coup de cœur pour moi. Mon premier Gran Turismo et ce jeu m'a tellement surpris à me faire aimer des choses que je n'aimais pas avant comme apprendre à rouler proprement, étudier les circuits, regarder ces replays tellement ils sont satisfaisant à regarder.. Un contenu énorme avec un gameplay aux **** oignons

    I couldnt believe the unbelievably low score on this game . I dont know what little issues people are finding here but i see no apriciation of a new generation racing game that even if its not perfect it is still a game that has lot to be apriciated .     It's my third decade that I play GT series and I should mention it's awesome, of course there are some cons in the game like there is no time trial before starting the race, but I really don't understand why it's got so many 0 scores, by the way those who played GT series know how this game is and 0 scores will not avoid them to experience this game.

    Reducing earnings in the lasted patch, making it a insane grind. It all seems to be done so they force us to use microtransaction.. What a scam after paying 80 euros for the game.

    Definitivamente es difícil valorar en esa ocasión, pero lo mejor es ser sincero, como usuario de PlayStation desde la PS1 he seguido de cerca la saga de Gran turismo ya que ofrece una experiencia muy buena como simulador de conducción, en GT sport me divertí mucho con el diseño, físicas, gráficos y también con las características VR En GT 7 podeos observar una mejora grafica impresionanteDefinitivamente es difícil valorar en esa ocasión, pero lo mejor es ser sincero, como usuario de PlayStation desde la PS1 he seguido de cerca la saga de Gran turismo ya que ofrece una experiencia muy buena como simulador de conducción, en GT sport me divertí mucho con el diseño, físicas, gráficos y también con las características VR En GT 7 podeos observar una mejora grafica impresionante en los modelos de los autos, jamás se vieron mas bellos, pero las graficas de campo no se sienten como de nueva generación como en la ciudad de Tokio en la pista correspondiente, los edificios se ven tan simples y como los de GT Sport, los tiempos de carga son minios y eso da mucho dinamismo para empezar una carrera.
    otro de los fallos es en el apartado de microtransacciones, es muy caro los paquetes de créditos y los vehículos también se vieron afectados ya que el costo de estos es mucho mayor que las vistas en GT sport, obligándonos a farmear por mas tiempo los créditos aunado a que las recompensas se vieron muy injustas ya que en carreras simples o campeonatos el premio en créditos es muy baja (aun despues del parche 1.08) y como ultimo clavo en en ataúd el uso obligado de estar online siempre incluso para jugar modo campaña entorpece la experiencia para los usuarios que tal vez no cuenten con un servicio de internet estable y eso haría perder los avances en un campeonato si no concluiste en medio de varias carreras. considero que para la opción multijugador y sport 7 obviamente debería solicitar estar conectado siempre. En esta ocasión este gran jugo y que espere con mucho anhelo se vio manchado por los precios elevados de autos, pocas recompensas, microtransacciones y el online forzoso. Esperemos que en el futuro hayan cambios ya que no pienso continuar jugando por esas razones.    … Expand

The credits and pay out issue was corrected very quickly within the month of release, and the game as it is today should be judged as it is today.     I actually think GT7 is fantastic. There is a ton of content, I love the car RPG elements of the game, and they have been updating with new cars, tracks, and fixes all year. I haven't played a GT game since the PS3 era and it has been great getting back to one. The graphics are hit and miss, sometimes the game looks absolutely amazing and sometimes not so much.

    Short and clear. The game is phenomenal. The racing in this game is addictive and it's hard to tear yourself away from this game.

Online multiplayer is still a beast like GT Sport and will improve in future as more events and championships gets added. Day one tracks and cars roster is very promising and since it’s live service and will be supported 5 to 6 years. License tests and missions are still tougher and helps you teach all the techniques you need to master the racing. Dual sense integration is by far the best and it absolutely helps you in sensing the feel of track surface, braking and acceleration stress and 3d audio helps in finding opponents positioning. Dynamic weather with day to night cycle along with wet weather is the best of any racing games. Overall game is top notch. There will be more updates with better rewards for winning races, don’t piss the game devs since it’s almost perfect in many other ways. As for always online, I am okay with it since GT Sport also had it and Devs themselves told you need always online for the game. If people are still pissed, then they’re dumb enough to think before buying the game. Always online is needed in order for anticheating with tampering save files in Multiplayer especially as the game will be complaint with FIA GT championships, which is key aspect for it to be online only. So people just need to calm down and enjoy the game rather than complaining for 24/7 about the game. It’s going to even better from here with free content updates for next 5 to 6 yrs… Expand

    The best racing game I've ever played. Excellent setting, a game that is chosen by people who like an honest simulation or a scary arcade. Basically, only people who can't drive and prefer to play bad games like the NFS and Forza series don't like this game.

    Me gustaria decir que el juego es increible porque la verdad me ha gustado, la jugabilidad es buena pero solo hasta eso. Este juego es un gran tributo a los fans del mundo del automovilismo y es muy bueno para las personas que les gusta la simulación.     Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]
