    for a $70 game, there should not be micro transactions anywhere near as high as they're in this game. it totally ruins the game. They really slowed down the progression so that you buy more microtransactions. Do not buy this game

    Gran turismo 7 is a complete racing game with ton of content, incredible VR support, great multiplayer and the best physics and handling this series has ever seen. The best simcade game out there giving just enough realism while still keeping it fun.

    For negatives there is bad AI, boring catch the leader races and locking cars with invites. Split screen is also appalling. Get yourself a    Gran turismo 7 is a complete racing game with ton of content, incredible VR support, great multiplayer and the best physics and handling this series has ever seen. The best simcade game out there giving just enough realism while still keeping it fun.

    For negatives there is bad AI, boring catch the leader races and locking cars with invites. Split screen is also appalling. Get yourself a VR and wheel. As a driving experience it's up there as best ever made.    … Expand

    I love the presentation and racing so much. The graphics are great as well. I'm a PlayStation guy for life but I cannot condone the clear cash grab direction this game is taking. What is on offer without MTX is worthy of a 6 but nothing more due to post cafe racing being hampered so badly due to greed. The fanboys defending are pathetic

Not to mention downtime with no access to the Game during Maintenanceperiods. Shift and focus towards solely predatory MTX's enhance the overall lackluster and moot career experience (jeez, remember GT4?). GameDissapointed is an understatement.     How can Sony sell a full priced game and then expect people to pay for upgrades using MTXs. Sony wants to double dip for a game that could have stood on its own and sold millions. This is the type of short term gain that EA and Activision played which routed their long-term trust with gamers. Sony why are you going on the same path, I though you were better than this.

Despite some growing pains I still feel were massively overstated (they never really push the mtx at all, enough money for every car you'll ever need is easy to come by if you put any effort into actually learning to drive), this game has become one of the best racers ever made. Certainly the greatest simcade experience (leaning pretty heavily into bhe sim these days, but still very playable with a controller). The new VR2 mode is a revelation also. Sim racing is blessed at the moment, now we just need a return of arcade racers that don't feel like ****… Expand

I gave it a 0 out of 10 because it was a metaphorical spit in the face from the developers to the fans. All of the good reputation and high standards that Polyphony had set for the past 25 years, completely gone in just a few weeks.

All of the good reputation and high standards that Polyphony had set for the past 25 years, completely gone in just a few weeks.
    But now things have changed.

    To start off, I want to say that unfortunately, Gran Turismo 7 has followed the infamous formula of modern game design: Release an online service game unfinished, add content in the following months and years to make it feel more finished, but don't forget to shill microtransactions.

    So what have they changed/added since the last review?

    Cars can now be sold

    More online events (including online time trial, which has a good payout if you get gold)

    Circuit experience gives you a very generous amount of money (Over 50m credits if you get gold on all tracks, which isn't too difficult for most of them)

    2 circuits and a few more layouts to existing tracks

    An extra set of missions (though there hasn't been a new one since April 2022)

    Races give a somewhat reasonable payout (although ~80% of the races are clearly not worth doing if you're just in it for the credits)

    Extra slots in the historic car garage

    They are adding VR support very soon

    With the addition of the Bugatti Chiron not requiring an invitation ticket (despite it being 3 mil), I think this could mean Polyphony are scrapping the invitation system for future high-end cars.

    General bug fixes/UI improvements

    They didn't punish people for doing the free engine ticket exploit which was nice I guess

    Now, here is what still hasn't been fixed/changed:

    Split screen is STILL BROKEN

    Changing the rolling start distance in custom races still doesn't work

    New offline races still use the god-awful long rolling start, where you start at the back and the guy in first is at least past the half-way point of the first lap

    Races that don't use Sophy AI are boring and predictable, the normal AI is so safe and cautious with their overtakes that they will usually get stuck behind much slower cars (even if on a wide track like SSR X)

    AI in custom races always default to using their standard tyres or their best-quality hard compound for some reason (except in dirt and rain). They NEVER use medium or soft unless that's their stock compound.

    Still can't customise menu music, also a shame that a lot of the good music from GT5 and GT6 got cut, even though some tracks from the same artist still remain?

    Custom race and online race payouts are still pathetic (I know you aren't supposed to play those modes for the credits but don't offer almost nothing instead of nothing, because then it feels like we should earn more)

    Rallying physics are still really bad and unsatisfying (although that was the same in GT Sport)

    Overall, it has got a lot better since my last review, but there is still many things to improve on before it becomes a great game like most of its predecessors.

    I had hoped that Sony were above the underhanded business tactics used by the likes of EA but sadly proven wrong. The game is 80% recycled content from the previous installment with a stronger emphasis on predatory microtransactions. The gaming industry is well and truly dead

    This game requires you to be online to play. As others have said, you are not buying this game, you are leasing it until the servers go down or until they shut down. The fact that nowadays, buying physical games does not guarantee you will be able to play the game 10 or so years from now should be a bigger concern in the gaming industry. Esperaba mucho de este juego, siento que lo apresuraron mucho, en algunas carreras se ve muy bien pero en otras se ve pésimo, lo que termino de desecharlo fue sus MACROpagos, su actualización haciendo que se invierta mucho tiempo en obtener dinero para comprar mejores coches, creo que no era necesario, mataron el espíritu del juego, no se utiliza lo mejor de esta generación, hay carreras que son horribles, debieron haberlo lanzado después de haber pulido esos detalles.
    Sony hasta cuando con esas políticas tan abusivas de los micro pagos en este juego, nos mato la ilusión, sumado a eso la caída de los servidores y su conexión permanente que tanto se critico a la competencia, esto es para romper el juego o venderlo rápidamente.    … Expand

    I have a playstation 5 and I played this game so I know what I'm talking about, I'm not a mere envious boxer who came here to give a low rating, this game is fantastic, a delight to play and enjoy the beautiful images of the scenarios, the cars are very good made the races well contested the physics is insanely good no wonder it's the best racing simulator there is, very good to be a real gamer.

    PSVR2 makes GT7 a whole new game. While I was really disappointed about the first days and weeks when this game was released, it now is my most favourite game ever. The immersion is massive, in my opinion it is worth buying the PSVR2 only because of this game.

    The game itself is fun, but the backgrounds are very lacking and often doesn't look that good.

    1 - The game can only be played online, even if you do NOT want to play online. Some people can even do basic races if they are not connected to the game server, but I (and several other players) have been blocked from accessing the game while their servers have been offline for more than 24 hours recently, that is, I paid for something but just didn't could play.

    2 - Broken reward system. The grind of the game is extremely difficult as the prices of the cars are VERY high, this would normally be fine if the rewards of the races were proportional, but this is not the case, on the contrary, the reward in credits (the in-game currency) was already far less than ideal, and recently released an update REDUCING these rewards. The reason for this is clear: making it more difficult to buy cars and in-game mods by forcing "non-hardcore" players to buy in-game currency with real money (yes, a fullprice game with EXPENSIVE microtransactions). The game director's justification is a legitimate joke with the players... "To give more realism (...) I don't want players to keep repeating the same race over and over again". Well, it seems that the solution found did not resolve your points raised.

    In short: do not buy now, it is possible that they will improve this situation a little in the future, and until then the price of the game should fall. It's sad to see a legendary franchise being disrespected by the creator himself. Greed is really something that increasingly haunts the gaming market.

In più vanno proprio a distruggere il fattore collezionismo che il gioco propone, graficamente è abbastanza scarso rispetto a giochi come Forza Horizon 5, per dirne uno.

    Granturismo é uma grande franquia que é bem renomada no mercado, mas parece que a Sony não consegue encontrar isso, bom .. pelo menos é o que dá a entender, não tem cabimento tratar com tanto desleixo uma franquia desse Port, eu esperava muito desse game, e confesso que me decepcionei demais, se tratando de granturismo, Sony precisa acordar.

I also play a lot of racing games and use to play multiplayer games in my high school days but now that it's hard for me and my friends to find a good time to link up so now it’s more rare for me to get into a multiplayer game. Up to try any genre of games and sometimes I find something new that I didn't think I'd like. I own a PC (built by me), Xbox One X, Xbox Series X, PS3, PS4, PS5, and a Switch. I prefer Playstation due to their focus on narrative games. For scoring, I’ll be using the Gameinformer review scale and of coursed influenced by my personal opinions.

    (9)Superb. Just shy of gaming nirvana, this score is a high recommendation because the game reviewed is head-and shoulders above its competition

    Bad Business Practices
    (-1) Game Economy makes it impossible for a player to unlock all the content of the single player aspect of the game without paying into the microtransactions.
    (-1) Online Only makes it impossible for people without an internet connection to even play the single player part of the game.

    I’m giving this a nine due to its Sports Mode, and Café mode.

    Sports Mode is Gran Turismo’s ranked multiplayer mode. Each week they release 3 new races, and one time travel to compete against everyone in the world. In sports mode you’ll be given a driver’s rating and a sportsmanship ranking to help put people in lobbies of likeminded/skilled racers as you. At first you’ll be constantly changing as the game learns more about you but will eventually stabilize within a month. Two of the three races are based on a certain group of cars that usually cost around 350-450k while the other is based on a specific car which people can change the set-up on. You can always rent a car at no cost to you if you don’t have a car the meets the requirement. My only complaint about Sports mode is that the payout is very small which forces you to make money through Single Player to be able to afford cars in a reasonable amount of time.

    Café Mode is the campaign mode of Gran Turismo. It dives into the history of auto-racing, car types, and car manufactures which is very unique when compared to other racing games. It’s an innovating idea which has the player race/collect certain cars and then they give a 2-5min history lesson. There are a few issues with the Single Player which is that the AI is too easy to beat even on the hardest difficulty and you don’t have the option to qualify.    … Expand

    de entrada, te dejan tunuear como quieras los carros, las modificaciones, los modelos y de mas aspectos del juego, los entornos, el modo repeticion, las carreras para conseguir las colecciones de exelentes autos y demas cosas bastantes buenas que tiene. Hay que admitir que lo malo radica en el hecho de tener que estar conectado a internet aunque sea en el modo de un solo jugador, estode entrada, te dejan tunuear como quieras los carros, las modificaciones, los modelos y de mas aspectos del juego, los entornos, el modo repeticion, las carreras para conseguir las colecciones de exelentes autos y demas cosas bastantes buenas que tiene. Hay que admitir que lo malo radica en el hecho de tener que estar conectado a internet aunque sea en el modo de un solo jugador, esto practicamente es a fuerza, algunos autos son muy caros y parece que nada mas estan para que uno gaste mas dinero por estos con las microtransacciones, las cuales, son carisimas y practicamente no son justas, y eso que el juego ya cuesta mas de los 81 dolares(al menos en México no se en otros paises pero me imagino que hay lugares donde sea mas caro)
    Espero legitimamente, no ironicamente; que los de polyphony digital cambien estos aspectos en futuras actualizaciones ya que asi podrian mejorar un juego, lo cual me parece necesario de inmediato, si se puede mañana seria exelente :) ya que Gran Turismo 7 y Gran Turismo en general se han vuelto de mis sagas favoritas y me parece muy triste en lo que se ha vuelto el juego.     It was fun for the 24 hours I was able to play it. Now that the servers are down, I've learned there isn't even offload single player. Unless the devs make lots of updates to this game, it will be considered a disappointment.

I just turned on my projector 24 hours after the patch was supposed to be done with and it won't let me play single player, it says it must be online. Why? Because they want to collect stats on my play and sell to me like a casino.

Think about that: You are getting played on both sides here.

    To add insult to injury they simultaneously added some changes to the game: mainly scaling back the credits you can win by racing! Why you may ask? Of course to push their **** microtransactions! I paid 100€ and now they try to lure me in to buy credits to buy those higher end cars? Wow, really disappointing.

    But even beside those two issues, there are many baffling issues. The short "campaign" via the ingame Café, which even locks many menues behind its progression (can't play Splitscreen without making much progress in this "campaign"). No arcade mode, lacking races at the moment and so on.    … Expand

    The game was fun, you just can't play it and when you can you can't play with any of those cars you dreamed of owning unless you want to spend real money or have a ridiculous amount of gaming time.

But dont worry they have made sure to get the MICROTRANSATIONs in place and you can buy as many of those as you want without that pesky cap of 20million for earned credits. They have utterly ruined the hype I had for the game and the franchise. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!!

It is almost impossible (the more after the 1.07 update, which lowered rewards) to get the amount needed within the time-frame, especially when the servers are down. You can’t bring something different/unique to the multiplayer lobbies like you could in GT5. 5. The always online requirement ruins this game 100%. Whenever there is server maintenance you can’t play the SINGLE PLAYER game. You’re stuck with boring mini games such as Music Rally which I hate so much. I want to play the £70 single player game when I want not have to rely on the online servers to be available to authorise me to play my game. And now we have a worst case scenario in play with these systems where the servers have been done for an extended period of time, the game has become unplayable. Why? Single player should not be affected by any online services at all and it raises a big question: what happens when in 5 years time the GT7 servers go EOL? Will that disable all copies of GT7 around the world? I still play my copies of GT2 and GT4 today. I expect to be able to play my copy of GT7 again in 15 years time.

    Honestly the game is fantastic but spending 100€ on a “freemium” game (Anniversary Edition) with online only option is not acceptable. Since the pre longed maintenance was announced over 24h ago, PD stood radio silent. Please fix the MTX dependence and let us just enjoy the game!

    For more than 10% of the game's lifespan, it has been impossible to play.
    For the entire week I have owned the game, certain aspects have been completely broken by patches.
    On first play, 2 hours of installs, updates and waiting were required.
    Don't buy it until it's on sale. Maybe by then the issues will be fixed.

Cr. so you need to grind 22 to 26hrs. in races, or spend 120€/$ for ONE car. its ridiculous. worst policy I've ever seen. even worse than EA.

    I never saw a game maintenance longer than a day. The game is just like a DLC of Gt sport but cost you $60. Also, you need to buy if you want the car, they reduce the awards of track to “motivate” you to buy credit through your credit card.

    No offline mode, no multiplayer if server is down. Disappointed!

    I even splashed out on a GR29 and rig... excitement levels were very high, the reviews gave it top marks, graphics looked amazing....

    Got my disc version of the game and attempted an install, I was met with a crazy 98Gb download and a 38hr wait... so after 1 hour I looked on forums and found out if you try and do a disc install whilst online it decides to download it instead... so after I stopped the install, deleted the progress and disconnected internet i managed a 2 hour install from disc...

    I then loaded the game and instantly realised it was online only with only limited music races being accessible offline... oh dear...

    So onto playing it, being an adult with a job and children the time I have to play is limited to a couple of hours here and there, but it all started out like a normal GT game... bloody fantastic gameplay, physics and graphics... playing with a wheel takes some getting used to, but really fun... in menu music is really bad and you cannot select your playlist like GT6, probably due to monetising of the music...

    I started going through the licenses.... noticed i was struggling with any dirt track ones... the demo video showing totally different handling to in game physics... turned out patch 1.06 had messed with the car setup and changed the tyres... i thought that was very odd and had me wondering about how accurate leaderboards are if they can just change settings on a whim...

    So come 17th March and I knew patch 1.07 was coming and would fix the dirt tyre problem... so on I went for a night of GT... nope, online only servers down for 30 hrs because of online only rubbish!!

    Then I find out they've reduced in game credits for races, then I unlock the legendary garage and every car is cr1,000,000... wtf even base cars are massively over priced... then I notice you can buy in game credits with real money...

    I was gutted... it’s meant to be escapism from real life, buy a sorted game and everyone has a fair go at earning credits, progressing and getting cars... so people that grafted for hours in the 1st week get more reward than me for doing the same races… totally unfair.

    I can’t afford nice cars in real life, why would I want to play a game that I can’t afford nice cars either?

    We have been conned by Sony... they released a great game, waited for decent reviews then screw us all for microtransactions by changing the game... it’s a con… this isn’t candycrush, so now it appears we have paid ~£70 for a pay to play online only single player game... I feel like a mug... I want them to refund my game or reward everyone with ALOT of in game credits.

    I hate microtransactions and online games…

    I think I'll stop playing and use my rig with wreckfest instead...

    Reasonably disappointed ... but life goes on... this is just a review to warn others and let Sony know people can ruin their profits with bad reviews when they try and screw us over...

Please do not support this type of policy, other way all games will be like this in the future. I would rather pay seven month of XBOX game pass which at least is more honest in their policy than this game.

    Honestly I had high expectations from this game since it celebrates 25 years of the GT franchise. The entire experience has been frustrating and disappointing. Dependence on an online connection has made the game unplayable during server maintenance and I’ve not been able to play the game for over a day now.

Rewards for winning were bad enough to begin with but have gotten worse with the new update that make progression a major grind. You’re either going to have to work you a$$ off or prepare to pay in the form of micro transactions or else most cars will be unattainable. This game had a lot of potential and I’m sure several gamers like myself had a lot of hope from this game but it’s disappointed. Focus on the players and the money will come… too bad they chose to focus on the micro-transactions. Another game I’ll never be playing again…    … Expand

    Drives like Gran Turismo, graphics are lovely, but as a game it is sooooooo bad. Clearly the design brief was "Get the player addicted, then periodically make the gameplay so annoying they will pay money to skip it." In other words, it's just a very expensive mobile-style money grab, constantly pushing the player into micro-transaction hell. Avoid at all costs.

    Infelizmente estou decepcionado com o jogo, você paga 300 reais e o jogo te obriga a ficar conectado sempre com internet, e quando o servidor tá fora você não consegue jogar, me sinto lesado.
    Infelizmente eles se renderam as práticas abusivas da indústria gamer.
    O mínimo era dar pra jogar office.

I didn't need to spend $70 on a game just to find out I can't afford a car I wanted, I already knew that, I have kids.

    Not happy with the obvious disrespect to loyal fans of this franchise trying to nickel and dime us been loyal since ps1 days but seriously the way the credit system is at the moment this game is not worth my time to grind to be able to collect all the cars only usually play at night for 1hr

    -Gráfico do carro muito bom, mas textura do cenário é apenas ok e vegetação é morta (não existe vento no jogo.
    -Chuva também não é satisfatória, pois na intenção de passar maior realismo, reduziram a ponto    Gameplay, no geral, é boa, mas proporciona péssima experiência sobre o balanceamento de economia, exige conexão com a internet o tempo todo e o gráfico deixa a desejar para o cenário.

    We can not play if we are not online, moreover they make updates to lower the amount after the races to push you go to buy credits to progress your garage, I can you decide what I want, it's me who paid for the game !

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
