    First I never write reviews unless I am very impressed or feel cheated. Initial pre 1.07 patch I was enjoying the game. But after completing the Café I felt it needed better payouts and more variety of content. But over all I would have given it an 8.     Heavily over-priced micro transactions given this is a £70 game, not free to play.
    Pathetic rewards, presumably to drive players to the shop for credits - which are horrendously overpriced.
    Dirt/Rally is truly abysmal - not sure how on earth this passed Quality Assurance.
    Cafe Menu system is too linear and makes me feel like im playing a car collecting game rather than a racing game.

    Polyphony, are you serious? Bought the game for 80€ and then you come up with online compulsion, microtransactions and profit reduction? I would love to give it back and keep playing GT Online, which is just as bad.

    This game is not what It should be, It was so closed to great but was ruined by Greed!!! Microtransactions!!! No one wants them. I already paid 70$ for this game, now they want my whole paycheck!!! Can't sell cars despite the game being described as a simulation and last time I checked in real life we can sell our cars. Waste

    Un jeu frustrant qui mérite une sanction ! C’est insupportable de voir que Sony, en tant que leader, cherche à sucer l’argent des gens, quitte à gâcher un jeu avec du potentiel ! Je me suis lassé en une semaine ! Les prix vertigineux des voitures et leur si faible quantité, notamment les vieilles, c’était décourageant !!

    Just doing my due diligence of calling out malicious behavior by game developers. I absolutely loved GT3 on the PS2. I've been searching for a similar experience over the decades and nearly none of them have reached the same level of customization and progression as GT3.     It's a fun game with great graphics and really satisfying gameplay. It has the racing experience I wanted out of a Gran Turismo game. I'm taking off one star because of the presence of micro transactions. They charge obscene prices for in-game currency. And I'm taking off a second star for the in-game economy being skewed so incredibly far towards grinding for currency. The top end carsIt's a fun game with great graphics and really satisfying gameplay. It has the racing experience I wanted out of a Gran Turismo game. The massive greed that is on display with micro transactions is not only disgusting, but a slap in the face for people like me that spent 100 Canadian dollars on this F2P game. Also it's such a nice surprise when the internet or servers go down, I can't play my single player racing game I paid for. Thanks Sony!     Yet another grind heavy, cash stingy racing sim from Polyphony.

    Poly just don't get it, we don't want to grind for days on end just to win some small measly pittance amount of cash.

    Don't forget the Always Online issue, we all saw how that can end when the servers went down, plus it $ucks for off-line solo users.

    I have always been a fan of the GT titles so I preordered GT7. I wish I hadn't wasted my money and saved myself the disappointment. It could have been such a good game. The racing feel is solid but there are so many negatives I can't rate it any higher than a 2!

    The good bits: - the graphics - the driving feel - the scenery & tracks - the controller feel The bad bits: - Microtransactions    I have always been a fan of the GT titles so I preordered GT7. I wish I hadn't wasted my money and saved myself the disappointment. It could have been such a good game. The racing feel is solid but there are so many negatives I can't rate it any higher than a 2!

    The good bits:
    - the graphics
    - the driving feel
    - the scenery & tracks
    - the controller feel

    The bad bits:
    - Microtransactions (feels like the game was built around the free to play model but they charge full price for it anyway)
    - the "cafe menu" system of unlocking things (not inherently bad but you NEED to modify cars to win the races, this obviously costs credits which eats into your winnings quite a bit)
    - the race setup, basically no races have a grid start meaning it turns from a race into a "catch up to the top 3 and get ahead" in 99% of cases. The races are clearly set with 3/4 ability groups of AI in a single race so 80% of the AI cars just get in the way rather than being challenging. You can't qualify for races so in a "championship" you ALWAYS start in last place, the other cars seem to start and end in the same place EVERY time. - Online only single player. Just why?!
    - The AI, some AI drive well, others drive like grannies and brake heavily at random points, take stupid lines and force you off track. This makes it even more annoying when you get a +50% credit bonus for clean races and you lose it because a random AI slams the brakes on in front of you for a gentle corner that doesn't even need brakes... - the "roulette tickets", in theory you can win cars, parts and credits by completing daily mileage and "cafe meus". Out of the probably 30 I have received, I have won the minimum credit reward/basic part for a random car 29 times out of 30. The only time I haven't I just won the slightly higer credit value. So basically it seems to be so heavily weighted towards the lower end I'd rather they just didn't bother. (again going back to the microtransactions feel, "look at the cool cars you could have") - the economy. They brought back used cars but charge loads for them. New cars, if they're good they charge loads. Desirable cars and iconic cars, they charge loads. Basically ANY decent car costs way too much, 99.9% sure this is because of the microtransactions model. I'm sure I could add more to this but anything else just seems excessive.

    I was looking forward to GT7 after GT Sport but it has been such a massive disappointment. I wish I had waited to see reviews before buying, I'd buy it again if it was at least 50% less than RRP but I definitely wouldn't at anywhere near full price.

    I can't see how this can be redeemed any time soon. It's core is flawed with everything aimed at microtransactions and I can't see it's model being redesigned any time soon.

    Disappointing they felt the need to reduce race rewards in order to push the in game micro transactions. I do not have 20 hours+ available to grind for a single car nor willing to spend $500+ of my own money for one.

    This review should have an update on the nerfing of race prices to boost their microtransactions or face massive grinding. Along the way, the removal of the car sells feature even though the PS Store description says you can sell.

The visuals are stunning on PS5, the sound effects are superb (which has been a big complaint in the past). However.     I'm also very disappointed in the amount of cars compared to GT Sport, especially Group 3 cars where there are many newer GT3 cars which should be added as an obvious point - for example BMW only have up to the M6 from GT Sport, whereas since GT Sport released, BMW have gone through a whole GT program cycle with the M8 and are now racing with the M4. These cars should already be in the game.

    Graphics are fantastic. Sound quality is great. No offline play except that stupid music mode is incredibly infuriating. Micro transactions can suck it. And that god damn what feels like forever unskippable cut scene at the start is honestly the bane of my existence. Oh and no co op except after like 2 hours of game play? Corporate greed strikes again.

    GT7 is simple take your money and give you an empty game, full of microtransaction in order to buy cars for win races... the cars are more expensive than the game itself.

    Game requires always online for single player, and servers are constantly down for maintenance.

    The new ALFA ROMEO GIULIA Quadrifoglio? There are the same cars (Alfas) since GT3 and a handfull of new cars. Way to less to be a competitive game. Some more additional issues: After exiting GT Auto menu to change wheels and would like to buy the widebody you exit to the main menu again. Annoying. Cannot change the car in the GT Auto menu. You finished changing wheels of car a) then you need to go to your garage and choose the other car and go back to GT Auto to change wheels for car b). Annoying.    … Expand

    I was playing this game just before they rolled out their update/patch that reduced the amount of credits you earn from races as a cynical manouvre to get players to buy the in-game currency that you can buy. WIth the prices of the cars this game should be a free to play and not cost 80 euros. Please do not support this kind of a scam that they are trying to pull on gamers.     Smaller Car List than other Gran Turismo games (and some producers like Lotus or Opel are completely missing).
    Fewer Racing Types and also stuffed into an annoying story mode. If this story mode and the freed Races would be an addition to other race types & tournaments it would be nice, in that form    I have played ALL GT game and this is right after SPorts the most frustrating bad one.

    DONT try to earn your price ticket with a steering wheel!! GT7 ignores my buttons and i ALWAYS get the least worth price, with normale sony gamepade it works fine (besides i have there still enough bad luck and frustrating prices).

    Personally i feel like the dirt road races lack more physically correctnes, i had no fun within a single dirt race oO but this can be very subjective.

    My girlfriend which i do visit often with my ps4 has very poor WLAN , so trying to play GT7 is out of question, thanks sony. If u could at least do multiplayer with the online enforcement wiuthout psplus it would be ok somehome...but what do u expect from son *rolling eyes*

    On ps4 the menu loading time are also a little pain in the ass.

    The only thing i can critic positive, the racing tracks look & feel awsome an really up to date, i hope i will see every old track like Grindelwald, but after GT sports i feel pleased to see old tracks very early (hope this will continue but just to have fun anymore to spend more time with GT7 at the moment, THX SONY!)    … Expand

    Die Mikrotransaktionen sind extrem nervig. Es ist nicht möglich mit angemessenen Aufwand ein Fahrzeug wie den McLaren F1 zu erhalten dieser kostet ingame 18.500.000 oder um die 200€ wenn man die ingame Währung tauscht. Worth to note that these multi-million cars can't even compete in the world map base events, since Polyphony Digital is yet to add races for Classics, Group 1 cars, etc...

    All in all, I feel like it's a game with a good potential, a solid base gameplay, but dramatically lacking in content, to the point that I'm just expecting the developers to genuinely finish it to make it a playable, and lovable "car culture" game like it's supposed to be, not a cash grab.    … Expand

Every race earning 400k or more there's random rain starting at the same time you got to change tires and refuel, the rain will stop 2 laps later and there you are racing with wet tires 10 sec slower by lap against medium slick tire AI for the next 5 laps. The fact that this game is online only means that it will be unavailable in a couple of years tho, so say goodbye to your seventy dollars. On the other hand, you probably won't be playing this entry again once the next entry comes out. The graphics are great. Unmatched from my highend PC with a quest 2 (12900K, 3080ti), GT 7 delivers fun, variety and challenge like I had not in a long while. It just works. Especially with the always changing weekly events inThis game gave me the fun in gaming back. Especially now with the PSVR 2.     The multiplayer is leagues above what I experienced with Forza 7, due to the penalty and ranking systems in place. It is just enjoyable!

    One point less for the integration of microtransactions and the tickets, which gave me always the lowest price so far, but until now I have no issues whatsoever with just ignoring microtransactions. The game works just fine without considering these.    … Expand

    Not only that, this game does not let you play your favorite game modes. Almost every race is locked, in previous GT games the only condition for you to race was to own the type of car necessary for it, that's it. In this piece of crap? No, you must satisfy many conditions the game sets up for you, do a lot of shores that you DO NOT WANT TO DO in other to unlock races, even to unlock multiplayer, which is a major slap on the face.
    Oh, you want to play with your friend? You can't. Here, go tune up a 1965 Mini Cooper, spending 300K credits on it so that I'll allow you the next step of shores so that you can unlock the parts of the game that you actually care about. The game also obligates you to interact with a lot of bots so that you can unlock anything, the bots pop up everytime with stupid messages like "you have to stay in road to complete this challenge" all the time. This game treats you like a drooling idiot.
    Oh, did I say that this game requires an always online connection even to play by yourself? Yeah, they want to be able to push you microtransactions every time and it also means that when this game's server is down, the game is more worthless than a paperweight. Also, I buy the new Gran Turismo to play with newer cars, but this game only has 2019 & prior models. No C8 Corvette!! Oh sure, soon enough they'll sell you a DLC with newer models that already had to be on the game, it's all about charging you more money!

    Games are supposed to be fun, with a reasonable challenge/reward balance; GT7 has the worst challenge/reward balance in the series and perhaps of any game I’ve played.     I am in utter shock accompanied by major disappointment. I feel betrayed after purchasing this game. Yes, it's online only, fine. But really now? Out of service for so many hours? Got home from work to play...CAN'T. They need to make the career mode available for offline play. I don't play the online mode. I love the game, don't get me wrong, it's perfect in a gaming sense. They should rather make this a paid streaming service. Pay as you play. No AAA game should be online only. This is basically like Apex Legends, Fortnite or COD Warzone and should be a free game. Cant complain if those games are down, they're free. Unless you invested in it. But point is, if you buy a physical copy of a game, you should be able to play the game offline whenever you want. Ultimately, don't buy this game if you want to play it offline or whenever you want. Because you won't be able to. Well done to the devs for making a solid game but you lot need to touch down to planet Earth. This is like purchasing a brand new car only to be able to drive it when the dealership tells you it's okay to do so. Or like buying a new shoe only to be able to wear it when your neighbour says you're allowed to.

    Wish I could get a refund. This amazing game is not worth full price if I'm only getting half usage. Think carefully before you purchase this.    … Expand

    this gran turismo is a good game i have to admit the game is fun the new stuff sounds really good and the gameplay is fun.
    but there are major flaws
    - incitement to microtransaction (some patch changed things) - a constant connection imposed by the developers - the crappy patches which lasted more than 24 hours during which we could no longer play the game for all these things this game    this gran turismo is a good game i have to admit the game is fun the new stuff sounds really good and the gameplay is fun.

    First they try to trick us into thinking this game will have a career mode, but it's nothing but silly menu challenges that can be completed in a day. Then they take the servers down so no one can play while they lower the amount of credits won in a race. Then they backtrack and say, "Sorry we tried to rob you...here have more credits".     Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
