Exploitative tactics to make people pay-to-win on a game that already costs so much money. Gran Turismo used to be art in motion. Now it just reeks of corporate greed.

    2. To decrease the CR payout and use the lame excuse that this would reflect the real difficulty in earning exotic cars is nonsense. It's a video game or a fantasy to drive cars, to apply a change of currency earned after a patch is shocking, I can only see this as a move to push your user base to be more inclined to purchase Cr from your store.

    3. The Cr packages are insane. I worked out that in order to buy a car valued at 2,000,000 plus, it would cost around $40 - the same car could be purchased on GT sport for $5.

    4. Since the patch, the ability to sell used cars has been removed, again making it difficult for gamers to purchase cars which means more insanely grind times or purchasing overpriced credit packages from the online store.

You should be ashamed of how you treated your loyal fan base. This will no doubt hinder your reputation with your fans after this stunt and a free bit of advice.. although I should charge you DLC in order to hear this. Sack your PR team! Your PR statement released after the 30 hour downtime was shameful and appalling, it's an insult to gamers intelligence and integrity.

Now imagine spending $70 on a video game, paying all those MT and cars, even if the cars are cheap, but now you cant play the game at the moment because the serves they developers are using are down for a few days, or even worse, shut down permanently. The game you paid for, the cars you paid for is now a $70+ brick and you cant even play single player arcade mode because you need their servers online to even start your game.

Thats why I give this a zero. The graphics and gameplay are fine, but at the end of the day, youre paying for a game you dont even own because its a game with a expiration date, loaded with Microtransactions.

Played through single player mode in 4 sessions. Now what?

Unfortunately its plagued with problems, and there was no clear statement of the online only requirements of the game in any review I have read/watched. $60 for a game that is unplayable when they tank their servers trying to reduce payouts in races? C'mon. Microtransactions are clear and apparent in the fact that you can't sell your prize cars, race payouts are laughable, and the roulette tickets seem to always land on the smallest prize. Couple this with some uncontrollable snap over-steer on some of the RWD cars and it puts a serious dent in any of the fun that this game should be about. What we'd appreciate is a game where a significant amount of the content isn't being locked behind the gate of "money, please", a game where we don't have to rely on your ability (or lack thereof) to keep the servers running after releasing an update that is designed to force more spending because players found a halfway decent race payout that doesn't make us excessively grind for money to buy overpriced cars. Then you have their outage, which was apparently linked to DRM - for a single player game - which means that my $70 copy of GT7 will just stop working entirely when their servers go down, but also they want us to spend more on the micro-transactions which will eventually go offline and fade into nothing. But the real reason this game gets a 1 in my book - is because of the response by the team leading the GTA7 work - to tell us that we need to "appreciate the value of cars" is an extremely tone deaf gaslighting tactic. Like I don't appreciate that a car costs $700k USD and I will never actually own one in real like. Isn't this why we play games - to escape reality? So how are these top execs making enough money to actually buy the cars that we need to "appreciate the value" for? That's just messed up...and Sony...I'm sad that you're so money hungry. It's really unfortunate. This game is a perfect example of how bad things have become... Expand

I am new to the whole GT series, this being my first gran tourismo game.

The game is worse than a free android game when it comes to micro-transactions.

The only way to buy cars is through credits and to earn credits you need to grind so unless you have a lot of free time and patience it's not for you

Or you can buy credits but why would you after paying 5000₹ for this stupid game.

Moreover I had pre-ordered this game from Sony website and didn't recieve the preorder bonus.

When I mailed sony regarding it this was there response

"As per your e-mail, we would request you to confirm the below mentioned details so that we can assist you in better way.

Snapshot of that where it is mention that you will receive voucher code with Game Disc.
Note: Share the Sony website page where it is mention."

They don't even know what they are selling.

Oh and the multiplayer is not as straight forward as GT sport it has options for tuning which means you can't take a car and go straight to a race as you will definitely be plum last

So unless you have ot interest in learning how to tune each car you will not be competitive in multiplayer races.

    Avoid the game, very disappointed

On the technical part, the game has lots of details (specially the cars design) but some graphics in the circuits could belong to PS2. Some circuits that returned to the saga (Deep Forest, Trial Mountain…) are simply ruined now due to the new design of the tracks.
There is a lack of low and middle range cars that I was expecting (Polyphony took the models from GTSport and made no improvements, in a pure copy-paste movement). More Fiat Coupé, more Peugeot 205 Turbo, more Opel Calibra… and less GT Vision that are useless!! Conclusion: Sony slogan was: “this is 4 the players”. I am so disappointed that I’m getting my money back. Let’s see if by touching their pockets they can listen to the players… because the money language is what they understand.

Using Games as a platform to scam fans for more money tends to upset us. Does anyone else agree that the ONLY time a fully paid title should ask for more money is when it's delivering a dlc?

Where's the passion gone for making great video games and selling them as a complete Package?
We as Gamers need to wage the same war we won on lootboxes. We need to fight against the BS of paying top dollar for a £70 game and then have aspects of the game locked off to us if we don't continue giving away our money to the rich. Riders Republic is another perfect example.

This game however... Not even worth giving this a single point in all honesty.

The livery making is amazing, modifying your cars feels great, game feels and plays decently, is genuinely fun to race in... but putside of thats ALOT is lacking.

Basically forced microtransactions if you want anything higher end if you can't set aside hours, if not days, of your life to dedicate to them. Always online garbage that renders the game useless if the servers go down (which they have) with a borderline offensive "sorry" message trying to justify said microtransactions.

I get the whole collection thing, but half the fun of these games was building a collection YOU personally like. Forced to do menu races to get cars ill use 3 times max, never use or modify and they just sitt collecting dust. Just put a checkmark in my book that I had it and let me sell it. Could have bought multiple cars I actually WANTED by this point.

If we could just have an option to sell our cars rather than "remove" them. I feel everyone would be alot happier.

Many missing makes and models compared to six. I was excited to see my Stagea again... guess I should've looked at the car list before purchasing, oh well. That however, leads me to beleive there will be a bunch of expansion content. Which is cool, but 90% of it is probably going to cause you to remortgage your home to afford the cars...

Some cars that were in sport, now cost 10x what they did in that game. Get ready to spend 200$ if you don't have the time to dedicate to it. Because you won't have any fun online. All the lower PP lobbies that "race for fun" have 2 people driving against the line up ruining the races and any higher one are just Hyper cars that demolish anything that isnt near their level.

Not to mention slort had 125 or so cars, GT7 has a little over 400. Gt6 had over 1000... and I know some of them were just varying trim levels. Still a massive margin for this onsole generation.

Seems myself and everyone else I've talked to feels the roulette cars are a joke or rigged. Before you even fully regist what you could win you automatically seem to ALWAYS get less than 10k credits from them. Absolute dissapointment. Just press the button get up, walk away, get a drink or snack because by the time your back you'll have a "WOW congratulations! Here's 5000 credits!" Majorly disappointed with this. I know alot of people are review bombing it, just cause. But, in my opinion, I would say either wait untill its fleshed out and we have the option to sell unwanted cars and the always online is gone (which I know won't happen), or get this at a massive discount. Mobile phone app levels of microtransations from what feels like is a f2p AAA title...

The first couple hours were exciting as new elements were revealed through making story progress and the graphics/driving were truly stunning at moments. Around hour five it became brutally clear just how unvaried the races/rewards were and how unobtainable most cars would ever be to earn or drive without paying the game more real money.
