Paid full price. Now a "single player" game does not start up due to server repairs. And this is not a maintenance but a full outage. And the main campaign (the cafe) is a joke.

so disappointed with the devs decision to cut the payouts for the races. they clearly want us to pay for the cars with real money or play 10 hours to buy a single car. Moreover it is impossible to sell the cars that you have twice…

It was a good game but since polyphony is a greedy company made it worse
The "history mode" based in collections, is good but would be better if you could choose which one do first
    Needs on-line connection to play
    Microtransactions ate insane
They nerfed the CR. you win with every race to make us pay

Repulsively greedy micro-transactions and a senseless “Always-On” internet requirement ruin a near flawless simulator with gorgeous graphics and a pretty engaging single-player environment.

I spent 110CAD as I wanted the PS4 and PS5 versions and now I’ll be lucky to get that money back. With that amount spent I expect to own the game but I don’t. I’m at the mercy of a server that needs to be up and a internet connection that needs to constantly run. Why? Not to make sure I’m enjoying the product. You don’t need a constant internet connection to drive a car around a track. Not for dynamic weather changes. You don’t need a constant internet connection to see what the weather is at the Nürburgring. No the only reason you’d need to constantly be connected is if Sony wants to know if there are more ways to frustrate you into paying real money for in-game credits. Latest update reduces rewards so it will take you longer to get the cars/upgrades you want. I’m sure they’ve also nerfed “Roulettes” further. At last count out of about 20 Roulettes I’ve “Won” the lowest level prize 17 times. Random? No, Shenanigans.

The game itself? So good! Exactly what I hoped for in terms of graphics and gameplay. Good license tests, fun missions for a different change of pace, seriously improved upgrade system for cars and really enjoyable races and championships. Read the 10/10 reviews. No need to rehash all that. Somehow, though, not enough emphasis has been put on the negatives.

Historically I’ve invested a lot into this franchise. Bought every version of the game since the first. Always bought the Special-editions if they were available. I’ve had a Gran Turismo keychain on my keys for over a decade. Gran Turismo steering wheel on the shelf in my office. Never thought of returning a Polyphony Digital product until now. Of course, I CAN’T return it because they say it’s not faulty so the joke’s on me I guess.

60 bucks used to be enough for a developer to invest time and effort into creating a masterpiece. Now not even $100 of our hard-earned money is worth it to them. We’re lucky to get a game that’s launched with 50% of its promised features. No gamer asked for a title to be released with bare minimum features followed by piecemeal content to be lazily tossed at the masses once a quarter for 3 years. I don’t blame the people that are actually making the game. I don’t doubt they’re also frustrated. But be careful who’s publishing your game. Eventually you’ll make no money at all when the greed becomes intolerable.

Unless they release a version of the game that doesn’t require an online connection, and they cut the cost of micro transactions by 75%, then just avoid it. Beautiful racing isn’t worth this disgusting new approach to wringing every cent out of gamers.

I really wanted to love this game but I was underwhelmed by the graphics and physics compared to Assetto Corsa. I love this game, I really do. I love the whole series, in fact. That said, I really can't stand by what Sony and Polyphony Digital are doing with this game, and the regressive changes made to progression since GT Sport.

In this game, your progress is no longer tied to your accomplishments, but rather, the size of your car collection. This in and of itself is not that big a deal, but there's a catch. Oh, you want to add a rare or legendary car to your collection? Be prepared to shell out millions of credits! And the average race payout is in the tens of thousands. This means you have to grind for countless hours just to get a car in each category, let alone complete the set. This actively punishes player creativity. And forces them to either stay bored grinding the same 5 races over and over or open their wallets and buy credit packs on the PS store.

It's obvious that they're preying on people who love this series and cars in general. 1 car can cost over $20 if you get tired of doing the same **** constantly.

It's a glorified free to play mobile, £70 game which requires you buy microtransations if you want to buy the best cars. You can grind, but doing the maths you would be better off working for an hour than playing the game. E.G. The credits you will earn from 1 hour of playing time is worth less than 1 hour at minimum wage.

Micro transactions for a game this expensive is appalling. And with the reduction in prize money, they are trying harder to get you to pay. Plus the debacle that is the 1.07 update. 24 hours and still can’t play. Why is online required to play single player? It’s honestly all very bush league.

An excellent game that is ruined by a horrendous "always connected" requirement. The entire single player experience is leashed to a server that as of this writing has been down for 24 hours. If you are going to tie your game to a server, it is your responsibility to keep that server live. This is a huge black eye for Polyphony Digital
