    Paid full money for a game that I haven’t been able to play for 2 days! No communication from the company either.

    what is not ok: microtransactions, connection requirements for singleplay (cafe, story mode, split screen coop), updates shorten race prizes making it almost impossible for a casual player to acquire an end game car, 24+ hours offline with no updates nor comments from the company and I can't use the cars I own on split screen (this is really bad) kind of regretting    gameplay OK

    This is ridiculous move by Sony plus they want you to buy credits with microtransactions.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. When released, Gran Turismo redefined car racing games, it's team were known for their cutting edge programming and graphics. Games like Forza would not be here if not for GT. To me, if feels like recent entries in the series have become lifeless, regurgitating the same features but with a new coat of paint. There is no vision, ambition or innovation any more. Even the once legendary lighting feels lacklustre, instead of it leaving the completion in it's wake. I can think of many features that would really put this game back on track again. Kazanori once said that he does look at his competitors games but he really should. Has Kaz just got bored of making games or has Japan really fallen so far with game development since the golden ear? Add to that the micro transaction where you can buy real cars cheaper than the in game ones and useless offline play leaving players stranded, unable to play for days at a time. I can't even get my money back but I can promise never to buy another game from this studio, despite being there from the very start.. sad… Expand

    Disgusting and appalling decision by Sony/Polyphony Digital to blatantly cripple the game with the clear intent to incentivize the purchase of credits. There is absolutely NO justification to reduce the ability to earn credits in-game across 16 races by more than 40% except if you're greedy gutter trash who wants to bleed fans dry. The extended downtime and NO COMMUNICATION is like theDisgusting and appalling decision by Sony/Polyphony Digital to blatantly cripple the game with the clear intent to incentivize the purchase of credits. There is absolutely NO justification to reduce the ability to earn credits in-game across 16 races by more than 40% except if you're greedy gutter trash who wants to bleed fans dry. The extended downtime and NO COMMUNICATION is like the turd garnish on a turd sandwich. Downtime for a game that is impossible to play offline is made even more ridiculous when you consider that 99% of the game is played in single player mode. This travesty was completely avoidable but now that Sony and Polyphony Digital have made their bed, they will have to sleep in it.     Absolutely great game for the last two weeks, but being offline for over 24 hours meaning the game cant be played, plus introducing all these horrible microtransactions has ruined the goodwill of fans like myself who have been playing the series since the original on PS1.

    It is unacceptable that a racing game in its single player compartment is not playable offline. The anti-cheating issue is just an excuse that hides other end purposes. GranTurismo has always been playable offline in single player, now those who buy the physical copy are practically useless, even for collecting purposes.     People lose time to gain even the lowered income! Give me my 120€ back! I play another game. I’m sorry for the devs! Graphics good, gameplay good.     I have played every Gran Turismo title since Playstation 1 and have enjoyed almost every single entry until GT7. I was honestly really enjoying the game while overlooking some glaring issues, which are now made even worse with ridiculous micro-transactions, and now unplayable because of maintenance and being always online. If this isn't fixed, I'm trading in this game immediately andI have played every Gran Turismo title since Playstation 1 and have enjoyed almost every single entry until GT7.     This game has beautiful cars models as well as a huge collection of cars. It also features great physics and a lot of other fun content. The issue with the game, however, is its big push for players to purchase in game currency rather than earn it. In fact I read a suggested article that was no more then a few days old that detailed what races were the most effective at going out credits and virtually all of those races have had their winnings substantially lowered. It's clear that they aren't selling you a just a game. They're selling you a platform to sell you credits and it takes away from the whole feel of the game.… Expand

Give it 6 months if you’re on the fence. There will be hundreds of copies in a $5 bin along with Battlefront 2 and Cyberpunk 2077.

    £70 for a once great game / franchise, that that you cant even play offline while patches are done. Patches that are screwing over the fans by now prioritising micro transactions by lowering prize credits, raising the price of cars and taking away the ability to sell cars. Its just pure greed.

    I was 13 when the the 1st game came out in 1997 on PS1 and I salute everyone who worked on these titles for making milestones in racing game and motorsport history. The Impact you left is very special to millions of people over several generations. That alone is pure art.

This "buy everything as a service" and    I was 13 when the the 1st game came out in 1997 on PS1 and I salute everyone who worked on these titles for making milestones in racing game and motorsport history. This "buy everything as a service" and "you will own nothing and be happy"-mentality we are drifting into as a world wide society is going crazy! Mad crazy! And people are slowly but way to late starting to not take it anymore.

    1. I pay a full game price for offline singleplayer experience and still get forced to be online 24/7 for 90%+ of the game contents. I know tracking and data collecting means $$$ but come on! Thats shady and criminal!

    2. Earning money to buy the cars is made artificially harder due to up to -50% lower in-game price money. In-game purchases is what we are bullied into. Micro transactions my ass! This is god damn gran turismo not some scum ebay offering.

    3. We cant sell/trade/share cars as it used to be to get money or just as a present for friends and family. How more unsocial can it get?

    All these marketing tricks and false shady communication to reduce "cheating". Boy does your PR spin doctor maybe suffer from alzheimer? Me and millions of other players and fans of the series are done with this until this is changed.

    P.S.: Oh and how dare you to not put back Monaco / Côte d'Azur track after almost 10 years since it was gone?    … Expand

    Pay to win casino game. Copy GT Sport, paste as GT 7. There is nothing new, far away from sim, it's really easy arcade racing, but you are going to drive **** slow cars for a long time, until you can purchase one-two fast cars... or you can purchase them for real money, that's the big idea here.

    with the latest update they have made it an "Electric art" pay to win with micro-transaction policies that differ from the old titles, cars that cost a lot, and credits won after a meager race.     Honestly the game is fantastic but spending 100€ on a “freemium” game (Anniversary Edition) with online only option is not acceptable. Since the pre longed maintenance was announced over 24h ago, PD stood radio silent. Please fix the MTX dependence and let us just enjoy the game!

    Do NOT buy this game. Latest update halved the rewards to force MTX. Server has also been down for over 24 hours. Sony will not issue refunds. Game is unplayable and broke. Do not buy.

    I just registered to rate this great Disappointment.
    The game requires always online, but the Servers are down. MTX are the main pillar of the whole concept. You don't earn enough money to buy anything??

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
