    Combining the base faults with current developments:
    -Nerfing credit gains by substantial amount
    -Unexpected +24 hours extra maintenance, with no communication of what is going on

    Base game is okay and this can be still fixed:
    -More free content released
    -Credit system overhaul

    What will become of "name" of gran turismo?
    -End of the gran turismo name and gaming studio reputation - example battlefield 2042 / cyberpunk 2077
    -Rebirth of real gran turismo after rough launch - No mans sky    … Expand

    It's really saddening what they did to the game. They waited reviews to go up and the initial selling weeks where most of the selling occurs to update the game now and destroy it's economy to earn more with micro transactions. This is such an abusive practice and should not go unpriced. Sony and Poliphony must understand this is not the way to go. I for one will never again buy any GranIt's really saddening what they did to the game.     Requiring an online connection for single player content is a poor choice at best, but when maintenance causes 24hr+ outages it's simply unacceptable. GT7 needs some serious reforms before it can be considered worth the money paid for it (even more so if you purchased the 25th Anniversary edition)

    Was a 10 for the first week, albeit with a few minor issues I had with it. But the latest update has completely ruined the game. Just another game series absolutely trashcanned due to the devs wanting that MTX revenue. And with a AAA price tag to boot.     Game has been literally unplayable in the single player mode and the developer gives no indication of urgency. Even once servers are back up, you are always at risk of it becoming unplayable with any disconnect between you and Polyphony.

    Game requires always on-line for single player. With servers always in maintenance mode basically it's basically unplayable.

    Servers down for maintenance for numerous hours when I just want to play single player, an abhorrrent display of microtransactions and loot boxes and very lacking single player content in general. The game itself is great, fantastic driving and design, but these issues need to be fixed asap or the game is doomed for me.

    Aggressive micro transactions, online only single player, and a sorry excuse of a single player make me regret buying this. What a downfall from the great gran turismo games of the past. I have hundreds of hours in gt4 guess I’ll go back to that…

    As someone who played GT1 as his first game in his entire life and loving it all the way, rightfully so this is a very sad time to witness the death of the exact franchise. GT7 could have been amazing but Sony and PD had other plans in mind. It is not what people love the franchise for all the way through from singleplayer to multiplayer. Its a shame. There are roughly a dozen things thatAs someone who played GT1 as his first game in his entire life and loving it all the way, rightfully so this is a very sad time to witness the death of the exact franchise. GT7 could have been amazing but Sony and PD had other plans in mind. It is not what people love the franchise for all the way through from singleplayer to multiplayer. Its a shame. There are roughly a dozen things that annoy me but im just gonna name the one most disturbing one. WE DONT EVEN HAVE RACES IN SINGLEPLAYER. We are just playing catch up, after starting more than 30s behind the leader, driving against damn NPCs on rails.… Expand

    I ve paid 75 euro. Its like 4 hours of work, 1 week of food for my family. Guys seriously.

    Graphics and gameplay worth the >80 rating BUT too few content. Online access needed. Reward system is rigged. Worst grind for expensive cars and parts to promote MTX. Disgraceful design. Worst game in the 25 year brand history. Dont buy until it is cheaper and updated.

The servers have been down for maintenance for more than 24 hours now, so NO ONE in the world can play it. This is a huge embarrassment. Also, sony just reduced the amount of credits you earn to a paltry sum, it takes around 1000 hours of time invested to buy some of theDo NOT buy this game.     29 hours downtime for a Triple A game worth $125AUD not long out if release. Now it seems to be the game is pushing towards micro-transactions with the nerfing of credits. Upset have played this franchise since I was a child.

    The fact that you need to be online to play single player races is absolutely ridiculous. Especially when it's now been inaccesible for over 24hours. The greed of trying to get people to pay actual cash for in-game cars is just nonsense. This would truly be an incredible game but now I'm just disappointed I bought it in the first place.

    Finally got a PS5 to play my all-time favourite series, and found that I can't play it because servers have been offline. Now I read about the introduction of micro transactions, which ruins the whole fun of grinding races to buy better and better cars. So disappointing from what looked like to be the pinnacle of sim racing.

    Terrible rear wheel drive physics

    It’s really unacceptable of Polyphony to make changes to the amount of credits being given for races when they also sell in game money. It’s just as scummy that they made the game have to connect online and then the servers are done for most of a day.

    This is an 80 euro game that has micro-transactions like if it is a free to play.
    This is a Sony first party exclusive game! It is not Candy Crush!
    The micro-transactions are insulting!

    Two weeks in and the 'always online' is a real issue. We haven't been able to actually progress in this game due to days long outage. This would not be a huge problem if we could play some of the game offline. Fans have spent money on this product and it is basically unplayable.

    Single player cannot be played offline.
    Riddled with microtransactions.
    Updates keep breaking the game.
    Updates make it harder to win money for cars.
    Game has been under "server maintenece" for over 24 hours (3/18/22), stripping you from even playing single player modes.

In principle this game is great, however as with many others here, I have found myself very disappointed with the microtransaction model they have taken. I was warned about it in reviews before purchasing the game but when I saw it with my own eyes I was surprised how far they took it. Well, I have paid for the game already but they can only fool me once. After over 20 years this will be the last Gran Turismo I ever buy.… Expand

But greedy ingame currency and pushy microtransaction politics which make digital content i have already payed a huge amount of money for extremly hard to reach are beating every fun and joy out of it.     Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
