    I was looking forward to playing this game. Unfortunately, Polyphony and Sony have made it unplayable by making it nearly impossible to get cars without resorting to micro transactions. It is a 70$ game, who would think that it is okay to strongly lead people to shell out 40 to 200$ for digital reproductions of cars using micro-transactions. I do not even need to get stared on DRM “alwaysI was looking forward to playing this game. Unable to play due to maintenance issues for 30 hours, reducing credits earned in races, pushing “top off” micro transactions. It needs to be rolled back to ever see an increase in user score at a minimum.… Expand

    What a scam! Do not buy this game. They nerfed the all prizes so its impossible to get any of the best cars with playing your life away. So now its like they’re forcing you to buy credits. Here i am buying a whole sim setup (steering wheel, pedals, and chair for this game) for this game. preordered it sadly, and im not one to preorder anything but i had hope and excitement for this game.What a scam!     game is completely ruined by greedy car prices, pay to win game all the way. credit prices are insane considering the real prices of individual high tier cars average around $35!!! The same cars were valued around $3 in GT6! That is atrocious. Disgustingly greedy. Also the game requires an online connection even for single player games....     I finished the single player "campaign" in less than 15 hours. (cafe menu and all licenses) After that you have nothing to do but collect cars by running the same few events over and over. A lot of the rare and desirable cars can cost between 10-18 million credits. Playing optimally the fastest you can acquire credits is around 800k per hour so it can take you 20+ hours of running theI finished the single player "campaign" in less than 15 hours. Playing optimally the fastest you can acquire credits is around 800k per hour so it can take you 20+ hours of running the exact same 3 lap race over and over again in order to buy 1 car. Keep in mind you need to also buy credits to tune, upgrade, buy wheels and even paint colors for your cars.

    You choices to have fun in this game is to either grind hundreds of hours like you are playing World of Warcraft or spend hundreds of real life dollars on micro transactions to buy credits.

    This game is also "always online". You can't even play the single player if you don't have an internet connection or Gran Turismo's servers go down. They were recently down for over 30 hours and you simply couldn't play the game. I also had my internet go down briefly in the middle of a 30 lap race and it instantly kicked me out of the game not saving my progress.

    I would highly recommend you look somewhere else if you want a racing game. I had thousands of hours in previous Gran Turismo games but I will never buy another one after this. Extremely disappointing.    … Expand

    Graphics are great, it's a ps5 game, so not that impressive. Grinding is extremely painful, after you complete the cafe. You are forced to get cars via microtransactions...

    I remember this game as of being the best motorsport in GT2 yes I'm a bit late but, really ya'll goofed it up with your greedy ass mtxs. This is really unnecessary and you know better than that. Make single player non online only bs and bring back the rewards as attended. Do not pull this bs again.

    Always online made game unplayable for 30 hours. Predatory microtransactions which were not provided to reviewers. Latest update has forced users to buy microtransactions unless you want to play for hundred of hours to get dream cars.

    Can't sell cars for ingame credit either. Horrible roulette system as well, i seem to always get the lowest tier reward.

    Long time Gran Turismo fan here. I own every major GT installment and 7 is a blatant smack in the face to the fans. This game is heavily monetized. There are many cars that are unobtainable because of how the reward system works. Rewards are low, you can't sell cars, and there are cars that cost 20 million.     This is so disappointing. I love this series. This game completely lacks depth. Hardly any events, cars or tracks. The cars you want? Yeah you’ll need to grind 75 hours to afford it because of the broken economy. Remember getting a daily car for completing the “workout” yeah now you’ll get like 5k credits. I seriously hope this is fixed because I want to love this game. Under the hood it’sThis is so disappointing. I love this series. This game completely lacks depth. Hardly any events, cars or tracks.     Lots of potential for a really fun game here. Great graphics, so much attention to detail in the cars and tracks. Overall pretty fun gameplay. The cafe was a cool addition and fun to play through. I enjoyed the progress through missions and got a sense of accomplishment as new areas were unlocked. I wish there were more pages to explore and would love that to be part of future contentLots of potential for a really fun game here. This was a full price AAA game, I had no intention of paying more real money to buy cars to race. Give me a free game if you want to attempt this monetization model. The greed is glaring and the minimal spike they’re going to see in micro transactions will be lost ten fold when they try to release another game after this. My personal viewpoint is that they got my money for the game, they won’t get a dime for the micro’s and I won’t be buying future releases from polyphony if this isn’t fixed.     Super grindy, maintenance update was around 30 hours and since this game is required to always be online, you CAN NOT PLAY offline with YOUR CARS that you bought or do the campaign or even go to your garage. MTX is brutal to the point of race payouts being worse than they were before and car prices staying the same. Most cars cost around $40 USD. Shameless...

Super fast, free cars, roulette tickets, etc. Then as soon as you finish the menu books they stop giving our free cars, and stop giving out nearly as many roulette tickets. And the only way to get back to the same pace is spending literally hundreds of dollars on microtransactions. This is a full price game... Not free to play...     The cars cost way more. Paint and wheels cost credits instead of mileage points. And buying a car in GTS, if you wanted to use actual money, was sub $3. If you want to buy it in gt7? Sometimes hundreds of dollars. Or more... This is ridiculous.

    With the path this game is on it is not worth playing in the least bit. Forza (series) has won me over bar none, come to racing games. I was super hyped for GT7, but they obviously favor microtransactions over anything and proceeded to make the game online only for single player career modes, and made it even more grindy. No thank you im good.

To resort to this sort of behaviour of not letting initial reviewers play the game that have the microtransactions should not be allowed legally. The day-one patch changed the mechanics of the game so much it can be considered a totally different game.

    Either monotonously grind the same race for an 21 hour period, play the game normally for a 93 hour period (by which time the car you wanted has disappeared into the ether) or yes you guessed it! Buy credits with real money! Let’s see how much to buy this 18.5 million credit car - oh just £200. Do you want to top up your credits in the PlayStation Store?

    The amount of greed from polyphony digital and sony is amazing.. they really botched this launch, I was so excited to play this game but it's full or micro transactions DRM and never ending grind. This is simply not fun.     But when you spend like 10 hours farming to get a car and devs tell you man you are now going to farm 20 hours instead ..or you can click on the link to buy credits...

I did not buy a PS4 because none of the Gran Turismo games for it were that great and there was not a new release of GTA. I am now deciding whether to get rid of it all due to GT7 turning into a dumpster fire. Come out with an update that corrects all this or I'm out! This is wholly unacceptable and nothing but greed!     Updates have killed the game. Single player still relays on servers so when they go down you can’t play. It’s so much harder to earn credits now they’ve nerfed race bonuses

    Compared to a Forza Motorsport game where I’d have every car I’d want within this time since release, GT7 wants players to spend money on top of money for the same experience. Even with the 1.5 mil with the digital deluxe I’m still broke from upgrading and the race payouts are slave wage. Multiplayer payouts you ask? HA.

    I'm not going to waste time typing out all of the problems because I'm too busy grinding credits to buy basic things in the game.

    Please fix this and remove the online requirement, micro transactions and rolling starts.

I believe with the fastest money method you are stuck at MAYBE 1 million an hour but I'd say 800k an hour is more common for most of the people playing the game. A part of the game is to collect cars. Well when cars are 18 million+ and some can only be purchased within a  limited time, what do you do? Buy 2 million in game currency forIt's not good, the mircotransactions are too much.     The driving aspect is phenomenal, but unless you are ready to spend hundreds, even thousands of dollars to get those exotic cars that we only dream of driving in real life or grind 10 to 12 hours to get enough credits to get just one of these then this game is definitely not for you.

    The best way to destroy both the PlayStation 5 and The Entire Gran Turismo library for the last 25 years simultaneously. A $70+++ rental with no refunds and no actual ownership so yeah I don't want a PlayStation 5 and a Gran Turismo game ever. Been playing GT since the original Playstation, what a shame it is to see the last couple of entries of such a legendary series dip to such a low.     Tons of micro-transactions. Every "Roulette" ticket I've gotten so far has been literally the lowest payout possible. Cars cost an unrealistic amount compared to race rewards. Plus the story of the game is insufferable. Racing mechanics and car customization/selection are the only highlights.

    I will be sticking to PC for good

    This used to be my favorite game. I even liked GT sport. I think $5 cars with the ability to win cars is fair.

    Y’all went full EA on this one. You can do microtransactions fairly or you can gouge the gamers and force them into bad situations. Guess which one you chose.

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
