    I have been a GT player for 25 years since it GT was released for PS1. Cars price is quite high and the rewards for races are ridiculous in comparison. After the last update, this fact is even worse. The economy of the game has been destroyed to enhance micro transactions in a 70 euro game. GT7 could have been one of the best GTs, but greedy has ruined it. Bravo!!
    On the technical part, the game has lots of details (specially the cars design) but some graphics in the circuits could belong to PS2. Some circuits that returned to the saga (Deep Forest, Trial Mountain…) are simply ruined now due to the new design of the tracks.
    There is a lack of low and middle range cars that I was expecting (Polyphony took the models from GTSport and made no improvements, in a pure copy-paste movement). More Fiat Coupé, more Peugeot 205 Turbo, more Opel Calibra… and less GT Vision that are useless!! Conclusion: Sony slogan was: “this is 4 the players”. I am so disappointed that I’m getting my money back. Let’s see if by touching their pockets they can listen to the players… because the money language is what they understand.    … Expand

    O jogo em si foi muito bem feito, tem novos gráficos, a jogabilidade está excelente, a ideia do Café e dos eventos ficou muito legal, porém o jogo fico pay to win. E por se tratar de um jogo pago, em um valor alto, é ridículo. Os prêmios diários deixaram de ser carros e passaram a ser uma roleta de prêmios, e chega a ser ridículo, pois sempre.... SEMPRE sai o menor valor, não sei nem porO jogo em si foi muito bem feito, tem novos gráficos, a jogabilidade está excelente, a ideia do Café e dos eventos ficou muito legal, porém o jogo fico pay to win. Servers been down so unable to play the single player content i paid for when i want. Devs are lying, greedy scumbags as are Sony.     Gameplay is great, but the in game economy is absolutely atrocious which forces people to purchase in game credits...microtransactions. I am sorry, but if you are putting me into a position to pay $70 for the game and then hundreds of dollars more to make in game purchases...thats a no go for me.

    You will literally grind 18 hours for one car in this game because its pushed sooo into microtransactions i cant even believe it. Plus its online only and the servers are often down, and without them u cant do almost nothing

    Where's the passion gone for making great video games and selling them as a complete Package?

    A car collecting game with predatory microtransactions and they even patched it to increase the grind to try force you into them! In a game that already cost £70!!!! Absolutely disgusting! I've uninstalled and traded it in. Shame on you. Not acceptable.

    Honestly have been using Metacritic for many many years and never have created a account. I HAD to for this game. I have never seen such greed from a company especially Sony. After updating and changing it so it is even harder to grind for the cars you want basically forcing you to buy micro transactions on a 90$ game is ludicrous.     I’ve been doing all there is to do in GT7. And i can tell PD is mocking us. The AI in the new human comedy is completely broken. In the circuit experiences it’s almost impossible to get gold (despite getting gold in all of the ones i did) , because the regular player won’t be able to complete them.

    The worst game is the series, and that’s saying a lot given how much I disliked 5 and 6 (Sport doesn’t even deserve the GT name). Have owned every GT from the beginning, was once my favorite game series, but I’ll never be buying a Gran Turismo game again.

After that I bought PS3, PS4 and now I am proud owner of PS5. I have bought GT 7 in February, 25th anniversary edition (almost 100 EUR), and could not wait for march and release of game! Cannot even race, as I can only choose between garage, used car dealership and Café in the world map, and it will not unlock anything else no matter what I do. I can see my progress and trophy's I've earned, but I can not play the game. Since then, which is now week ago I did not turned on my PS5. I've read that there was 1.07 and 1.08 updates that presumably cleared this and that game is playable again, but I am so afraid that when I turn it on that it is going to be again stuck and than I don't know what to do?!
    Nail to to coffin to me is force this microtransactions, meaning sucking us loyal GT gamers for more money. NO! You will not get a cent more than I already payed, and learned that if your bloody servers are down I can not play the game! That is really low!    … Expand

    This would have gotten a 7.7 from me as the actual racing is very good , the single player stuff however is boring as hell. This gets a 0 from me for them changing the amount of credits you earn for races to encourage micro transactions......AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

    First of all I have completed the menu portion and most of the license tests in the game.
    This could be a truly good game if the following are fixed:
    1. Remove always online requirement. Without an internet connection the game cannot be played. 2. Reduce the grind to get credits. I have not bought any car over 450K and only 1 of those.     4. Allow the selling of cars earned during the menu events. Previous GT versions allowed this.
    5. Allow the earning of credits during multiplayer events with friends. This can be reduced as I understand it could be exploited, but not earning anything removes the incentive to race with friends.

    This is a $70 game with micro transactions from Sony. They didn't enable pay to win features during the review period and added it in the 1.0.8 update. $40 for a single car is an obscene amount of money.

    I won't say that the microtransactions feel like they are things that you need to invest in because that's just a lie. I will say that Sony have made an incredible game for the reviewers and gave us that same incredible game just with microtransactions in it, and I think that releasing two different products to reviewers and consumers is unbelievably scummy. seriously.

    Don't worry though, they've really tried their best to shove these MTX down your throat and you can tell with the recent update that has changed payouts for races. I believe it will take at least 3000 laps of the nurburgring to get enough money for a legend car.

    so so depressing. I honesty think this game is something that defines this generation and will continue to so so in the coming years, but with the direction Sony is going with it, maybe it will be defining in all the wrong ways.

    I also think that although the DRM doesn't make this a bad game, I don't see the need for it AT ALL.    … Expand

    Updates ruined this game. and Polyphony isn't done yet.

    Cars cost 3X-4X the amount of previous GT games. You either grind for 10+ hours to get premium cars or start paying the exorbitant micro transaction fees to get them. You have to be connected to the internet to play in single player mode and if Polyphony servers go down for 30+ hours you're screwed! Game is a rip off.

Microtransactions that allow you to purchase unlimited credits with real money combined with a cap on credits that can be earned in-game are going to kill this title. After launch, the dev's nerf the "highest" paying races into oblivion. Check the warning rates against previous GT titles. This game is dismal. P2W

    I have played and mastered every Gran Turismo title since the original. Gameplay and visuals are spectacular but its sad to see greed of microtransactions ruin an otherwise beautiful game.

    Great graphics, awesome playability, very poor car dealer system. Microtransactions are just a money grab. Always online is also a downer. Poor decisions by Sony. Do not buy it.
    Sony also played the reviewers by releasing a version without showing all the details.

Depois da atualização ficou pior ainda para ganhar a moeda do jogo e comprar os carros. Ainda mais que você precisa comprar diversos itens para personalizar e/ou melhorar seu carro.

I have 0 desire to play GT7 online/multiplayer that’s why I hated Sport! I just want to play my game single player offline without any bs DRM nonsense forcing an online connection just to play my game. I understand things happen with updates and maintenance but in my case it left a very sour taste in my mouth and I no longer have any interest in investing my time or playing this game. I tend to keep getting low payout raffle prizes. It’s as if the game is doing everything in it’s ability to keep me from winning more money.

    I personally have an issue with the used car market as well. First off, unlike previous Gran Turismo used markets. The cars only refresh once a day and only a few cars will change at a time. Parts for modifying cars also seem over priced because of the ridiculous low payouts.

    It really seems as if they ruined such a great product. I’ve seen games with microtransactions but I have never felt them ruin a game as much as this. The apology letter that was sent was total BS mentions of not making a game where you have to grind for money but with payouts like this, what choice would one have? With such a beautiful game it is so hard to figure out how they missed the mark so far, I would give it a negative mark if I could for the utter disappointment. OMG the career mode which is also only available online only took a few hours to get through... Maybe I'll revisit this game when it goes down to $19.99 or lower bin Due to it being online constantly waiting for races where it gets "Stuck" and just shows a busy sign even though there is no issue with my internet which causes problems saving my "ONLINE ONLY" game and several settings and setups which take hours each to get just right show up as blank... JUNK! just a waste of my time and as much as I want to love it and play it, I truly hate this game more everyday...     Por otro lado ha dejado de ser un juego para ser un álbum de cromos virtual que tienes que comprar con dinero real porque a cada actualización que meten reducen los créditos dados como premio.

Paying full price for a game which requires an online connection for single player and now MTX also being added, does that even make sense at all?! Now I don't even feel like going into the game anymore.

    The Racing is as good as it has always been. The release of microtransactions after review copies were reviewed, the lack of microtransactions during the review period, the following slashing of progress in the game through playing, and the online only access to the game means I'm standing up for gamers and extending the finger of objection in the direction of Sony and Gran Turismo.

    Played since GT1. Polyphony have revealed their true greedy selves with hiding the MTX from reviews before release. Dishonest scum bags. Then nerfing payouts in update 1.07, that’s the final straw. Kazanori has no honour, do not buy this game, there are plenty of other racing games on the market.
