    I am a PlayStation fan and I love racing games but I didn't buy GT7. Maybe the game is a masterpiece, I don't know. But I don't pay 70$ for a single player online game with microtransactions. Maybe the gameplay and graphics deserve a 10, I don't know and I probably never will.But I give it a zero because:
    1. I hate to pay 70$ for a game.

    Fail, epic fail. I am at a complete lost here, GT7 bares little to no resemblance of the racing/sim video game series that I fell in love with all those years ago. Sony and Polyphony digital have completely ruined this experience for me, I purchased a PS5 mainly when this game was announced. Now, I am not sure if I should have stuck with my PC and not deal with the headaches that haveFail, epic fail. I am at a complete lost here, GT7 bares little to no resemblance of the racing/sim video game series that I fell in love with all those years ago. Sony and Polyphony digital have completely ruined this experience for me, I purchased a PS5 mainly when this game was announced.     I finished the "career mode" last night. Only took a couple of days of playing to beat that. I earned 72 cars from it, a few good ones. Now I have 1.7 million credits and the career is over. There are still 352 cars to collect many costing 10 to 20 million each. Credit payouts are low, The career mode is weak. Gotta grind or spend cash on micro transactions.     Greed Turismo 7. A real shame. It’s a beautiful game marred by an aggressive approach that means if you want to enjoy any sort of fun with great cars you will have to pay cash via micro transactions.
    Oh, and to play an offline single player game these days means you have to be online.
    That means that when their servers are offline, guess what, the game that you paid $154 for is unusable.    Greed Turismo 7. A real shame.     Ruined by low payout that was nerfed in favor of microtransactions. The biggest issue for me is that you can not play single player mode without conection to the server. Server was down for 2 days which ment you can not play the game that you paid for. And why do you need server conection to play single mode???

I remember GT6 obline where you got weekly missions to make some extra money and that is gone. I am selling the game and going back to GT6 and I am 37 old and I was the biggest fan of GT series from the first game 25 years ago. I even planned to buy Ps5 just for this game alone. Luckily I could not get my hands on ps5.

    What a sham this game turned out to be all because of greed. The progression of this game is totally broken all due to micro transactions. Not to mention the always online requirement even for single player campaign. Nothing makes sense here if you take greed out of the equation.

    I've been a fan of the GT franchise since the first game, I've bought and played everything to date, and it's unfortunate the treatment pholyphony is giving its players, out of sheer greed. My desire is to return my game purchased in physical media.

Graphics are NOT as they were advertised, and the music is Horrible. Then the microtransactions that come with this game are a Joke! I guess we didn't pay enough forPure Disappointment!     Honestly, for a long time GT fan, since GT 2, I am very very very disappointed with this game. Making it micro transactions central is a no no, payouts suck, the whole online system sucks. This is by far the worst game and I did not buy it and will not buy it. I went ahead and bought forza and F1. Will be looking into Grid too.

    I love Gran Turismo since I was a child, this GT7 gave me a good feeling the first time I played. This game turned itself into a full scam after the 1.07 update, it was hard enought already to earn money and they just made it even harder. Also, they just killed the single player with just a few championships and NO endurance races.     The 2 player split screen mode is just ridiculous, you can't even changes the assists for both players and if you like to race with any your garage cars, you have to go on your garage and set each one of them as a favorite. Gran Turismo Sport was soooooo much better on this....

    I just drove a 20 minutes race, but because my internet is crack the game lost connection after the race and nothing has saved. In combination with the low credits you get for the races the whole game sucks and doesn't make fun. Thank you for nothing Polyphony digital/Sony!

It pains me that once servers are switched off there will be no game left and we seen that in the 30 hour down time. There is no content in the way of career, no format of old buying cars and doing them up. And of course Sony's insane refund policy prevents a refund once a game has started to download, are you kidding me? Do yourself a favor and take all that money that Sony wants you to spend on cars for this game and buy yourself an Xbox and get Forza Horizon 5, an entirely better game in every way.I cannot believe how scummy Sony is being with this game, shame on you sony. The game is already overpriced at 70 dollars and is also one of the most boring games ever.     Players have had enough of paying full price for a game that is clearly designed to force you to pay for micro transactions.
    Either release it free and be up front about pay to win or just release a full game (with optional packs you dont need to buy to win).
    Look at the failure or more recent EA titles and the success of Games like Elden Ring.

However the game with the always online and frankly, spiteful "micro"transactions is a 0/10. I wish we would stop calling them microtransactions as they are far form micro in this case. The way in which Poloyphony Digital have designed this game to maximise revenue through microtransactions is disgusting. The fact that 2 weeks after launch, they made it their priority to reduce rewards is disgusting.

    If Polyphony Digital do a 180 and remove the always online component from the single player game, and reduce the games reliance on microtransactions (I don't mind some, just not to the extreme it's been implemented here) I will change my score. This isn't a free to play game, it's a full price title, we shouldn't have to pay for anything other than additional DLC.    … Expand

    Now, I'm sorry, but the game was designed around micro-transactions, worse even, they now did an update to reduce race payouts... The game does give you ittle gifts. Only to keep you interested; to have you watch those cars that you could have, but won't, unless you have a big wallet next to you, or a lot of time... Lottery tickets were a good idea, if only you could win the first or even second prizes ... But you'll only have the bottom ones...

    For those probably thinking that it does not alter the game. Sorry, but, in the long run, it does. You get frustrated and / or poorer. And the ways that you cope with that is, either you give in and pay, or you grind for hours and hours, or you stop playing... All three solutions change the way you play...

    Few people say that that developer might offer the potential DLCs that they perhaps had in mind... Don't expect that. Not gonna happen... They'd rather cancel those, than give them to their fans. if, and only if, they do something to fix it, it's only going to be temporary. Besides, Internet connection mandatory... What happens when the game dies... You've lost your money. The money for the game and for the cars you've bought, right? Right?

    Now, as final words, I must say that I have mixed feelings. If the licence continues going down the way it is, perhaps it be best if they buried it right now, on the spot... Would be easier... (Not happening though because they want your money...). And on the tomb, you wouldn't be able to read the text (the epitaph)... You'd have to pay for that...

    It supposedly fun game, and since the upgrade all the difficulties are not making any sense. How it possible that AI cars from rank 3 to 14 are pretty slow and not to mention that they've been programmed to blocking our way, but for the 1st and 2nd are fast as hell and impossible to overtake? Unbelievable.

    I’ve been a fan of GT since I was a kid but these micro transactions are ruining my love for this series. If Forza 8 came out tomorrow, I’d sell my PS5 buy an Xbox and not look back. It’s a crime what they are doing. FIX IT!

    Really enjoyed at first, then they tried to suck my bank account dry, they've made all the cars too expensive and the credit rewards couldn't be lower.     DO NOT BUY, cash grab made so clear with the last update. Sony had a bs statment after the 30hr blackout update, which halfed payouts making grinding for currency painful.
    I hope to god people just stop playing and not be fools paying over 180$ worth of micro transactions for a single car. Godspeed gamers

Got to the point in the game that i have to spend $120K+ to upgrade my ride to be competitive, only to win 15% of those credits back. Oh, and thanks for the low roulette winnings -- usually 5K in credits or some18 million credits for a single ride?     I bought the game on release, it had many problems but since this was the same in gt sport 5 years ago i could forgive them for that. What i cant forgive them for is their incredible and unbelievable greed.
    They added microtransactions, made everything incredbly expensive and they reduced credits that players could earn without spending money.     This game was one of the reasons I wanted a Ps5. Now that I have it, I wish i had never purchased either.

    Between the game being down, the microtransactions, and not being able to progress past a certain point, this game makes me wish i could return it.

    Now I’m poor in real life and virtual life. The beauty of these games was being able to drive cars that I’ll never be able to in real life. Now I can’t as there’s no way I can grind for days to get one car.

    it was a great game for the first few days, you will get around 60 cars during the campaign and some credits to spend later on other cars. You would expect that after the campaign the game normally starts to shine, where you can drive any circuit and any car you want.

    But not in this game, after completing the campaign you hardly earn any credits to buy cars and the in game prices of cars are so high that there is no other choice then to buy the extreme expensive micro transactions.

    Absolutely onacceptable and completely destroys the image of sony and their flagship game gran turismo.

    Some actual examples:
    - after 24 hours of racing i earned 3.5 million credits through the campaign. 2.5 million of those credits were needed to buy cars and tuning updates (which are also really expensive) to complete the campaign.
    - after the campaign credits were lowered to around 30.000 credits per race or if you want to play the arcade mode on professional level to create your own challenges the credits earned are lowered to around 5000 credits per race !!!
    - then the new cars came for sale, there are two cars now in the dealer for a 6 days period that will cost you 12 and 18 million credits (a total of 30 million credits), that's impossible to get with the ordinary gameplay, you can't earn that amount of credits in 6 days as a casual gamer.
    - So if you want those TWO!!! cars, you have to buy credits online. This will cost you 300 Euros for 30 million credits !!! So to have those two time limited cars sony expects you to fork out 300 euros for two cars.

    That's a psychological game (the time limit) where sony should be ashamed off. If this is the road sony is going to take for there GAAS platform then it's over for the sony playstation brand. People can't afford that extensive kind of microtransactions greed. I think that people at microsoft will be very happy with these direction sony has taken now.

    conclusion,
    the game is a great game in base, but the fact that the game is locked behind a never seen before high paywall after completing the game makes is a useless game. If you want cars after completing the campaign expect to pay thousends of dollars on micro transactions, the current pricing of 300 euro's for just two cars shows how greedy they become.

    The gran turismo history of 25 years is destroyed with this release and i'm really sad about that.    … Expand

    If we are striving for realism, in real life wouldn't a driver have sponsors paying for cars? Wouldn't a driver be able to get supplemental income through endorsements?

    All the fun driving gameplay in the world (it's admittedly a fun driving experience) can't make up for the dread you feel knowing that you either have to pay money out of your own pocket, or play for an obscene amount of time, if you want to buy the cars, pay for the upgrades, and pay for maintenance.

    There is no balance. It's pay to play, and it's hugely disappointing.    … Expand

The cars, tracks, and physics are great, but the game feels tremendously more linear than past entries. Since you rarely get enough credits to purchase the cars you want, you basically live off of the cars you're given$70 for a game pushing microtransactions at every turn. Since you rarely get enough credits to purchase the cars you want, you basically live off of the cars you're given through the cafe menus. Tracks unlock through these menu completions, and so you never have a lot of choice in what youll be driving or where you'll be racing. The daily workout reward doesn't seem to be affected by the number of days in a row you've completed it, and the roulette tickets are absolutely terrible because they're weighted towards the worst prize even though it looks like an equal chance. I've gotten maybe 20 of these, and 18 of those i've gotten the lowest cash prize. The other times, i received a car part for a car i'll probably never own (and cant sell the part), and received a car i already own (and can't sell). In past GT's, the roulette wheel was something to look forward to! Now it's a wheel of misery.
    It's a true shame, because the core of the game is good, they just messed up how all of these core game pieces interact.    … Expand

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
