    This game is a good racer. Though it should not need 24/7 internet connection to play. People are complaining about microtransactions for no reason. It does not shove it down your throat or force you to spend real money. You can simply play the game and get money.

    I've been a Gran Turismo Player since 1st Launch of Gran Turismo 1 in 1999. Gran Turismo 2 and 4 were the best ones ever made. Gran Turismo Sport was terrible but slightly better and now Gran Turismo 7 is a flop. The creators of this game made this game a complete utter disaster. With Micro-Transactions and low paying credits make the game much more degenerate and worthless. NowI've been a Gran Turismo Player since 1st Launch of Gran Turismo 1 in 1999. Gran Turismo 2 and 4 were the best ones ever made. Gran Turismo Sport was terrible but slightly better and now Gran Turismo 7 is a flop. The creators of this game made this game a complete utter disaster. With Micro-Transactions and low paying credits make the game much more degenerate and worthless. Now Playstation leans the same way Microsoft Xbox does. Sorry, but this game belongs in the Hall of Shame and in a funeral home with there last words of the dying series of Gran Turismo 7 to be buried 6 feet under to its final resting place. Playstaion has turned Politics, Power, Greed, and money and we the smart gamers for years see right through your deceptive greed for money. Games are made to buy once for a lifetime with everything built into the game to make it lasting, not a deposit like a bank account for added credits and extra stuff. Playstation and Gran Turismo 7 is imploding itself and a failing pile of garbage. Want the truth designers and makers of Playstation, go back to the roots of Gran Turismo 2 turn from the stupid of power greed for money and give too the gamers what they rightfully deserve and pay for to enjoy the way it was meant to be in the early years. Legends never die, but greed and power hungry fizzled out and are remembered no more. Do not buy this game and go back to your old school racing games that have much more pride and work in them without this Rigamortus microtransaction cheaply put together game. Worst Gran Turismo ever. I gave it 2 out of ten because of the graphics are good, but cheaply engineered gaming for a low budget game they slapped together to make you pay more. Terrible.… Expand

    Given how Sony have bought and closed some of the best racing studios that ever existed is unforgivable. Especially when you consider this is supposed to be the pinnacle of racing. What a joke.

    I've sold my PS5, and I will never go back. I will never buy another Sony product again, I'm sick to death of the monetization of all the things.     It’s a very good game, with the exception of the economy, but polyphony has promised to fix it. I haven’t played online yet though.

    A full priced game with cellphone free to play experience. Greed has consumed peoples good memory of the series. A single mistake ruined 25 years of good will. God Bless PlayStation and fxxk Jim Ryan.

    The Gran Turismo 7 has more than 25 years of story, in this case the creator has a emotion relation with his game. There's a lot of buzz about the microtransactions, but i think PD has responded fast about the issue before to complete ruin his future. Very good game physichs for a simcade game, very good story mode and good online platform.

    -No campaign content except some café sidequests to make it look like a game (you get a picture of a cake when you're done) -No grid starts, AI starts 40 seconds ahead and you play catchup for literally all but 2 races in "café campaign" -Useless roulette spins that give you the lowest amount of credits every time -Content locked    -FORCED ONLINE ONLY for a singleplayer game

    -Anyone looking to buy the game should first visit r/granturismo in reddit and read the reviews

    -Very limited content even in terms of cars available, most older than 10 years old and you have to wait for them to show up in a used car dealer which only refreshes once in a long while...

Great game, but I paid for the Anniversary Edition and between the Always online, overwhelming micro transactions, and the insult that Polyphony and Sony have given us by lowering the payout for almost all the races make me sick. That and the roulette being absolutely crap. I got a Mazda RX7 engine and I put it in my Miata, which is a lot of fun, butSeriously not worth my time or money.     The game is fantastic, but not being able to carry on my single player campaign because they are doing server maintenance is not good at all. Been unplayable for a full 24 hours.

    OK... it is now playable again, but gets boring fast as you don't win enough money in each race. I have therefore moved on to other better games.

    Wow, what a disappointment. Bad gameplay with controllers, bad engine sounds and tire sound. And then they nerf the race rewards a few weeks after release, to make you buy ingamge credits with real money? Definitely not for the players Sony!

    The game was fun and enjoyable at the beginning, then the infamous 36+ hour update completely ruined the game. Not only people find out that we can't play 99% of the game offline, but the biggest issue is the way they nerf the credit payout on many races so people would have to buy credits using real world money. Now it takes much much longer to earn credits in the game. Such a greedy company.

    Edit - 3/29/2022 - I just beat the game and I would have to say it’s a great game. It was a grind and I definitely got frustrated towards the end. No spoilers ahead but I’m looking towards the future of this game if they make good on their promises. It was a journey I just hope we get more content in the future. My original score came from frustration as I’m sure we all felt. AfterEdit - 3/29/2022 - I just beat the game and I would have to say it’s a great game. It was a grind and I definitely got frustrated towards the end. No spoilers ahead but I’m looking towards the future of this game if they make good on their promises. After finishing the game and 1.09 update I felt pretty hopeful and turning my 0 out of 10 to a 6 out of 10.

    Game is very beautiful. Why can we not play a single player game offline? Why are the payouts so low? Why did the maintenance patch break the game. Why did you nerf payouts? Why make the roulette trash odds? Why hide the best cars under a invite system? Why do legendary cars cost so much? Why is the cafe just okay give us a proper career will ya. Why can’t we sell cars? Why spend 80 dollars on a game that feels more like a beta than a finished product? You buy a 50k car to put over 75k more money into it to win races and guy what? When you get your payout. You have to keep going back and forth between the race and upgrading. You guys need to go back to the drawing board with this because this is not Gran Turismo 7 this is a shell of its former self greed has taken over this company. Will be the last Gran Turismo me and a lot of other people buy but there is still time to redeem yourselves act like you care and make Single-player playable offline at least.     Bad: The core guts of the game... The classic GT games were so innovative and available for exploring or grinding. You could think of almost any car you wanted, throw parts on it and find suitable races for it. You used to be able to hot swap parts and/or sell your previous parts as you progressed up the mod tiers. Hell, you used to be able to sell the damn cars! Or vice versa, something you would have never wanted to drive, you'd purchase and upgrade and experiment with because each car you unlocked had a unique race(s) associated with it or its class.
    -Car List: The car list from GT2 was 10x better than this version. There are so many obvious exclusions
    -Rewards: First off, the roulette rewards are a complete scam. Race rewards are pretty bad considering the overall economy of the game. Thanks for the Million credits, but its still a joke.
    -Race List: There are under 40 single player missions and almost 10 of those are "go equip this part", "go tune this", "install wide body", etc. There are a bunch of cars/classes that have no single player missions at all. Each track should have a variety of class, DT, PP or manufacture restriction.

    I know some people just want MP or Sport mode, but the single player content is an absolute joke. This was supposed to be the epitome of racing sim games. The best GT ever? It feels so empty. Like an alpha release. I feel like I barely scratched the surface and then the credits roll as if this is some masterpiece. It should be priced at $40. Let alone the DRM or online locked restrictions. I was so hyped for this game and barely find myself even thinking about it anymore. what a waste of a franchise    … Expand

    Trust is gone. I feel bad for anybody that pre-ordered this game (me included). Absolute scam because of the micro-transactions. WIth the prices of the cars this game should be a free to play and not cost 80 euros. Please do not support this kind of a scam that they are trying to pull on gamers. I wish i could get me money back.

    Le pongo un 10 para promediar el review bombing injusto. Si bien se tomaron decisiones creativas que no fueron acertadas están escuchando a la comunidad y parece que van hacia un camino en el que la comunidad sea quien forme el producto y eso es notable también.

    Mi nota verdadera es un 8.5, más que nada porque la selección de música durante las carreras no me termina de convencer (ojo, las del lobby están muy bien) y por otro problema importante que a estas alturas me parece que GT no debería tener: las texturas de los circuitos. Siempre GT tuvo este problema y es que los circuitos tienen texturas de la generación anterior. No se ven mal, pero cuando las comparás con otros juegos que incluso son de mundo abierto (ej: Forza) te das cuenta de que se quedan muy atrás, lo mismo pasa con las luces sobre los entornos y los modelados en general salvo en las repeticiones que en PS5 se ven bastante bien, pero aún sin Ray Tracing otros juegos obtienen mejores resultados gráficamente.    … Expand

    Solo te deja jugar online, al ser asi porque no ponen que el mercado de autos usados sea comprandole a otros jugadores? eso podria ayudar a habilitar una posibilidad de ganar mas creditos, que cada vez limitan mas empujando hacia las microtransacciones

    The new ALFA ROMEO GIULIA Quadrifoglio? There are the same cars (Alfas) since GT3 and a handfull of new cars. Way to less to be a competitive game. Some more additional issues: After exiting GT Auto menu to change wheels and would like to buy the widebody you exit to the main menu again. Annoying. Cannot change the car in the GT Auto menu. You finished changing wheels of car a) then you need to go to your garage and choose the other car and go back to GT Auto to change wheels for car b). Annoying.    … Expand

    I have always been a fan of the GT titles so I preordered GT7. I wish I hadn't wasted my money and saved myself the disappointment. It could have been such a good game. The racing feel is solid but there are so many negatives I can't rate it any higher than a 2!

    The good bits: - the graphics - the driving feel - the scenery & tracks - the controller feel The bad bits: - Microtransactions    I have always been a fan of the GT titles so I preordered GT7. I wish I hadn't wasted my money and saved myself the disappointment. It could have been such a good game. The racing feel is solid but there are so many negatives I can't rate it any higher than a 2!

    The good bits:
    - the graphics
    - the driving feel
    - the scenery & tracks
    - the controller feel

    The bad bits:
    - Microtransactions (feels like the game was built around the free to play model but they charge full price for it anyway)
    - the "cafe menu" system of unlocking things (not inherently bad but you NEED to modify cars to win the races, this obviously costs credits which eats into your winnings quite a bit)
    - the race setup, basically no races have a grid start meaning it turns from a race into a "catch up to the top 3 and get ahead" in 99% of cases. The races are clearly set with 3/4 ability groups of AI in a single race so 80% of the AI cars just get in the way rather than being challenging. You can't qualify for races so in a "championship" you ALWAYS start in last place, the other cars seem to start and end in the same place EVERY time. - Online only single player. Just why?!
    - The AI, some AI drive well, others drive like grannies and brake heavily at random points, take stupid lines and force you off track. This makes it even more annoying when you get a +50% credit bonus for clean races and you lose it because a random AI slams the brakes on in front of you for a gentle corner that doesn't even need brakes... - the "roulette tickets", in theory you can win cars, parts and credits by completing daily mileage and "cafe meus". Out of the probably 30 I have received, I have won the minimum credit reward/basic part for a random car 29 times out of 30. The only time I haven't I just won the slightly higer credit value. So basically it seems to be so heavily weighted towards the lower end I'd rather they just didn't bother. (again going back to the microtransactions feel, "look at the cool cars you could have") - the economy. They brought back used cars but charge loads for them. New cars, if they're good they charge loads. Desirable cars and iconic cars, they charge loads. Basically ANY decent car costs way too much, 99.9% sure this is because of the microtransactions model. I'm sure I could add more to this but anything else just seems excessive.

    I was looking forward to GT7 after GT Sport but it has been such a massive disappointment. I wish I had waited to see reviews before buying, I'd buy it again if it was at least 50% less than RRP but I definitely wouldn't at anywhere near full price.

    I can't see how this can be redeemed any time soon. It's core is flawed with everything aimed at microtransactions and I can't see it's model being redesigned any time soon.

    bought deluxe edition because i thought i could enjoy the content offline as in gt sport, not the case, unlike gt sport you cannot race your cars you have purchased offline, just a very limited selection of cars the developer has picked, disgusted to see such regression in a first party title, shame on you polyphany.....

Now imagine that it's not free to play either, it costs 80$ to play the game in the first place, and THEN you have all the in-game microtransactions I mentioned before. And since it's an always online game, when that online subscription service should one day ever end or even just go in maintainance (which already happened), you can't even play anymore (permanently in the case of shutting down, and for a while in the case of maintainance). Because yes, on top of everything I said earlier, this is ALSO an always online game so the moment it will eventually be shut down, your 80$ disc becomes a frisbee. If you have the digital edition you don't have even that though lmao. It's fine when the online functionality of all games is shut down (sad, but still, fine, and understandable), but if your game is an offline game with multiplayer content, you can just enjoy everything single player in it. Always online games, instead, just die when the developer decides to do so. The game is not yours, you're basically paying rent to play it. In 20 years of videogames I've seen all kinds of greedy **** but this is the worst I had the misfortune to ever witness.     Graphics are fantastic. Sound quality is great. No offline play except that stupid music mode is incredibly infuriating. Micro transactions can suck it. And that god damn what feels like forever unskippable cut scene at the start is honestly the bane of my existence. Oh and no co op except after like 2 hours of game play? Corporate greed strikes again.

    Once the nostalgia wears off this is an annoying and badly padded out game. Music rally is a bit of fun for 5 minutes, then becomes redundant. Navigation is annoying, it's not intuitive, and everything has a sub menu or dialogue piece behind it, meaning that you have to press 20 buttons just to do one thing, like actually start a race. During actual game play (you know, when you're not repeatedly hitting buttons to cancel dialogue that's irrelevant and repetitive, or hitting X 10 times to advance one screen...) on the topic of dialogue, the pop up dialogue in/during licences is mostly condescending, and definitely annoying. The graphics are comparable to GT Sport, in some cases worse-walls/barriers being rendered only a couple of hundred metres up the road, and we're talking edge of track artefacts directly in your eye-line, not walls on buildings way off the racing line, is a bit ridiculous considering the era, and looks daft on a 55" 4k display. Although, shadows are probably better, there is barely any difference between the PS4 and PS5 versions though, glitching in the arms when turning in cockpit view is really frustrating, for a brief moment it looks like you've clipped something and are about to spin off, or smash into something. I initially wasn't concerned about the always online requirement. The difference a day makes, Sony/PD can turn this game off whenever they choose. Duff updates that hobble the game, stacking the deck against the player from achieving pre determined goals. Support for wheels is somewhat lacking, there is inconsistent feel for kerbs and bumps. Online racing is even more chaotic than the last 6 months of GT Sport, seriously, its like Destruction Derby 2022 out there... Which brings me to the continuing lack of a damage model, firstly if one was looking at the likelihood of damaging their car when they crash into someone it would incentivise them against doing so, secondly, they claim to be 'The Real Driving Simulator' smashing into a wall at 150mph spinning a couple of times, then being able to carry on as normal is a bit daft. Mentioning their old age tag line, why no qualifying in campaign races? Starting at the back every race is kinda like a 2000s arcade racer than a cutting edge current gen game. And the rubber banding is pretty crap too. The AI are an improvement over previous iterations, but they're still daft and turn in on/punt you as they clearly aren't programmed to know where you are. As for PD's decision in the latest update to reduce payouts for races, this is a harder nudge towards micro-transactions, which is just greedy, I paid £90 for the game, with no mention of these in reviews and feel ripped off, PD have shown that you don't own the game, you've paid to rent it until they decide to turn it off.    … Expand

    GT7 is simple take your money and give you an empty game, full of microtransaction in order to buy cars for win races... the cars are more expensive than the game itself.

    Game requires always online for single player, and servers are constantly down for maintenance.

    Patch 1.10 will come in a few days and should solve all economy-related issues and add more events.

    Increase the upper limit of non-paid credits in player wallets from 20M Cr. to 100M Cr. - WTFF????
    Increase the quantity of Used and Legend cars on offer at any given time - So players are forced to use their cards to purchase vehicles if the cars are available for a limited time?

    A big let down by SONY....following in the footsteps of EA and TakeTWO (Rockstar).

It's baffling how they don't just follow the successful formula of previous games before GT Sport. This whole new direction with focus on artwork and limited content is regression, not progress.     Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
