    Predatory mtx, unnecessarily always online, and nerfed race rewards. Greed.


    Update: claim to have "heard" the community, in my opinion the rewards are still broken and polyphony's greed is still obvious. They have a long way before I'm no longer disappointed.

    TOO MUCH RAIN. Even after update 1.11 on March 7th we have too much rain. You can enable weather radar and zoom out to 60 miles. It doesn't help! Tells us after it's already raining! If your going to make us deal with rain then give us on screen text messages and let us put on rain tires before it's too late. That said too much rain. Holy cow. Stop it. This is not fun.     Y es decepcionante ver a Polyphony digital y PlayStation studios permitir esto ,cuando viendo el pasado de gran turismo podemos ver una involución. No pido que sea el mejor juego del mundo ,pero la conexión permanente parece un insulto y una desconfianza total hacia los jugadores y una privacion de los derechos de los jugadores sobre su propiedad. Me parece una falta de respeto total que en la actualización 1.07 hayan nerfeado las carreras para obligar a pasar por caja y gastarnos casi 40 € euros por coche es una total vergüenza y mi nota será las más baja y espero que Polyphony digital piense y recapacite y elimine la conexiones permanente por que sino.... posdata no soy un fanboy de xbox

    Después de la actualización 1.11 pero la conexión permanente sigue siendo un lastre innecesario y por favor pido que vuelva el offline como siempre ha estado en gt .

    I'm very disappointed in the latest installment of this beloved series. I have all the previous game, and none of them full price 80€ game had such micro-transaction pressure.
    The amount of money you make in the game make it a complete plain to pay with in game credit for the most expensive car.     Upgraded the rating to 7 because last patch 1.11 improve economics a lot.
    Won't go higher because we are still required to be connected for solo play which is a big downside
    Could add some cafe menu on pit stop, changing weather, endurance races, cars from other countries, circuit experience, GR1 cars, VGT cars, etc.
    I've finish the cafe menu solo play with only 80 cars... and most of them are not a million credit car. Am I supposed to mindlessly grind a billion credit to buy the 300+ remaining cars, most of them costing several millions credit?
    I would have expected a better polished game from PD instead of a game as a service with constant update.    … Expand

    There was a lot of understandable hate about gt7, especially when it comes to the money income in the game that wasnt accetable in a full price ps exclusive title. But with patch 1.11 they changed a lot in the game economy and now its fine.

But now lets talk about the game itself. And here i have to say, its a long time ago that i played a game that was so well done and made so much fun like gt7. Its hard and its challengy sometimes. But you can also just enjoy your car on the track if you want. And even when the game released as a service title, there is still a lot to do and there are so much cars that feel all so different from each other. I started playing gran turismo from gt4 and i have to say that gt7 is already my favorite of them. Sadly there is no ps5 to buy in europe and i am forced to play it on ps4. But it still looks and performs good on this old toaster.
    And if poliphony digital needs more money, just start to sell some franchise like shirts or hoodies or model cars. Or sell the game for more money only in the steelbook case. I totally understand that game development nowadays needs more ressources than back in the times of ps2. But keep the game great, because nowadays there arent a lot of good games anymore. And after patch 1.11, i believe that gt7 is going in the right direction. But if i am right or wrong, the future will show.    … Expand

    This is absolutely the best franchise since Gran Turismo 4 on the PS2 despite the microtransaction controversy the game is much more challenging than past entries The physics feel very realistic akin to assetto crosa The cars, feels very lifelike and handle, like the real thing. The mission challenges, and license test, are much more harder than GT sport, but The GT Café is too short toThis is absolutely the best franchise since Gran Turismo 4 on the PS2 despite the microtransaction controversy the game is much more challenging than past entries The physics feel very realistic akin to assetto crosa The cars, feels very lifelike and handle, like the real thing.     Besides the microtransactions, online-only this game might be the best racing title of 2022 other than either the upcoming forza motorsport 8 or forza horizon 5 (if you even going to call it a "racing sim")
    Since the V1.11 update comes out making money in this game is 11x easier even compared to the updates prior to V1.07

    Great game as of v1.11 and shows that Polyphone understood they made a mistake and are rectifying it - in terms of gameplay and the current state of the game it is great and the game has a bright future ahead of it!

    Un excellent jeu de course, un vrai coup de cœur pour moi. Mon premier Gran Turismo et ce jeu m'a tellement surpris à me faire aimer des choses que je n'aimais pas avant comme apprendre à rouler proprement, étudier les circuits, regarder ces replays tellement ils sont satisfaisant à regarder.. Un contenu énorme avec un gameplay aux **** oignons

    The problem I found when playing was the poor online server.
    I can't start a race properly and the connection often drops out.
    For me, who thought the biggest attraction of Gran Turismo was the online, the most important thing is to strengthen the servers and improve the lobby.
    Other than that, awesome game.

    Literally one of the best racing simulators currently on the market. Ever evolving with dev support. It might disappoint some because it’s not arcade, but for people who want to enjoy the ride.

Wanted to save some? GT Sport was amazing in that respect. No need to put your wheel aside just to see what someone is typing. Another extremy annoying thing is showing a car    Generally ok,

    I loved this game, got it on launch. The nostalgia is unreal coupled with the PS5 visuals, getting cars, modding, testing earning credit to buy what I havent won was amazing. Then Polyphony Digital became greedy took the game offline for 2 days and screwed everyone who bought it to force microtransactions on them. Shame on you for what you have done.

    Feeling annoying after paying a high premium price for this game to find that they are very greedy by micro transactions to purchase cars of your choice. Silly amounts of credits are required to collect the cars you want. Unless you want to use the free cars that everyone else uses, update, glad they listened, so much more fun and a an awesome game.

    Je regrette mon achat. Les graphismes sont PRESQUE équivalent à Grand turismo sport sur PS4 pro. Les achats de voitures ont bondi! Sur les licences solo narrative Sony sont les meilleurs. Par contre sur jeux de voiture (Forza motorsport): la concurrence les exploses!

A este juego le falta poder vender tus propios automóviles, es ilógico que no puedas obtener beneficios por eliminar coches repetidos del garaje. EnCon la actualización 1.11 incluida el dia 07/04/2022 se han mejorado muchos aspectos en cuanto a las recompensas obtenidas ademas de añadir nuevas misiones y más variedad de automóviles dentro del mercado de segunda mano y legendario. A este juego le falta poder vender tus propios automóviles, es ilógico que no puedas obtener beneficios por eliminar coches repetidos del garaje.     This game is broken. I have a family with kids. I don't have hours to grind. I have an hour a day at most to play. This will take me a few years to build up enough credits to get a McLaren F1. With micro transactions, I can buy this car for $180 real money, on top of the $90 I spent on the game. I would u der stand mon a free to play game, but one I paid almost $100?!?     Polyphony is making the right steps towards a good GT, fixing the issues the community has with the game, the last two patches are warmly welcome. Hopefully it's because they want a happy playerbase and not because they don't want bad reviews

    Everything has been great compared to GTS in regard to new content and features so far, with the exception of these issues:

    - Overreliance on MTX - Linear and short career mode, kinda feels like a glorified tutorial mode - Ridiculous grinding, more so with the nerfed race payout after the 1.07 update which is almost a deal-breaker for me, see my first point - Always online save for    Everything has been great compared to GTS in regard to new content and features so far, with the exception of these issues:

    - Overreliance on MTX
    - Linear and short career mode, kinda feels like a glorified tutorial mode
    - Ridiculous grinding, more so with the nerfed race payout after the 1.07 update which is almost a deal-breaker for me, see my first point

    - Offline arcade/2p split-screen mode is barebones, should've added an option to use the unlocked cars on car index/car collection

    I wanted to wait for Polyphony/Sony's response before I wrote this review. I am so bitterly disappointed and this is the first review I've ever written so that should speak volumes in itself.
    The single player portion of this game requiring an online connection is simply wrong and is unacceptable. I cannot believe that it is literally impossible to start your game over and/or create a new save file. The official recommendation from Sony is to create a whole new Playstation ID every time I just want to start fresh. The save file is forever tied to the account, backed up to the cloud and made impossible to ever remove. Am I purchasing this game or just renting it? The update recently released made no mention whatsoever about changing the online requirements so you've officially lost a loyal fan of this series.
    You and your live service BS can get f%^&^d and I am returning the game today. Btw, get rid of those awful random roulette spins, this is not a mobile game however much you want to make it feel like one.    … Expand

    I really wish I could say something good about this game but honestly everything about it is horrible. Yes it's a money grab game, yes you can't sell the cars. The glitches are numerous. It's not even better than GT sport which is disappointing. Everything you heard is true. It sucks. I want my money back.

    Developer are listen to player's voice to change the in-game money issue amd many more in recent update

    but they still need to change the always online behavior, while gt 7 include tons of single player content, they should not be accessed only when their server is online

Would be nice to have qualifying lap in the world circuits so you don’t start 20th in every race and have to just catch all the cars. If the AI was more varied in its racing then races could be more varied too and it wouldn’t be essentially a time trial. Circuit experience,Getting there. Still needs basic features like being able to change tracks and settings in multiplayer lobbies. Would be nice to have qualifying lap in the world circuits so you don’t start 20th in every race and have to just catch all the cars. If the AI was more varied in its racing then races could be more varied too and it wouldn’t be essentially a time trial. Circuit experience, licences and the cars themselves are all great.     Update: with the update promise I am updating my rating. If pd delivers these promises I will increase the score further more. Content update was the most crucial one.

    Looks like pd is listening !
    My biggest regret. I cannot be more disappointed. Microtransactions, limited menu career content. Stay away!!

    EDITED REVIEW: Payouts are now starting to be back where they should be. So polyphony is listening and finally reacting in the right direction.

    The always online aspect is a negative but other than that this is a top tier Gran turismo.

    now that the patch is out im going to weight my rating a 10 to counteract the review bombing for a bit

    Fantastic simulator and sequel. MUCH better than GT sport but I’m not much into the online portion. Enjoyed it on release but even better now after the patches

Amazing physics controls tracks and all totally ruined for micro transactions. Listen to the community and this can be fixed, underneath your money hunger lies a splendid game but only if fixed.

    Driving experience is great, graphics on the cars the best there is, track graphics acceptable. Game economy rocky to start with to say the least, but at least they seem to be listening. 1.11 has been and improvement and hopefully more to come. Overall despite still not being perfect it is a great racing game.

    I was looking forward to this since skipping the PS4 era (last played was GT5) and I'm now extremely disappointed with GT7 on PS5. Not much has changed aside from the menu, brand storytelling and loading times. I cannot believe Sony/Playstation is allowing such a garbage "next-gen" experience. Main complaints:
    - Barely any "modern" vehicles, most brand cars are from '12 to '14, I can only assume PD will put '20 ~ '22 cars as paid DLC
    - Mandatory online connection is annoying and has become utterly frustrating with the frequency/length of maintenance windows
    - In-game awards and currency is broken and getting worse
    - Car damage visuals are still as boring as ever, no damage meter to adjust
    - Environment/weather effects are still extremely boring, not much change from the previous generation (GT5 on PS3)
    - AI players drive pretty dirty, they'll take you out for no reason

The BIGGEST issue that me and everyone has with the Game are the MACRO-transactions and how they were implemented after launch just for the game to do good in Reviews which is something that's truly illegal and was never done before as far as i know and then reducing the Winning Prices for the Hard Level Races in 1.07 which was something completely stupid since now the easier level races now have bigger winning prices than these events, this is all done with the purpose of making people buy their stupid "Micro"transactions which are probably WAY BIGGER than any other Game that haves them and they even duplicate the Game's full price, yeah, we still have other methods to Grind Credits but if someone doesn't do anything about it, they will make the In-Game Economy even worse than it is right now, someone has to go and sue Sony for making these greedy and shameful practices because like i said earlier, they're not legal at all. To be honest, it's really sad that a Game like Gran Turismo 7 that was made to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Franchise and with a huge potential is getting ruined by terrible decisions like this.    … Expand

    4) Drastically change MTX price and quantity options or rework MTX all together.

    GT7 is a an amazing racing game with a terrible economy. The actual gameplay is very fun. Love driving cars on the track in this game. What is not fun is how incredibly bad race payouts for online and custom events are. Race for 25 minutes with tough AI starting at the back of a 20 car grid? 25k base credit reward for 1st. This was especially egregious with the pre-1.07 payouts where comparatively 3.5 minutes at Fisherman's Ranch would get you a 65k base credit reward for 1st. But instead of making custom races more in line with the races that did pay, they have decided to nerf the payouts for those races.

    These decisions seem designed to push microtransactions as hard as possible through FOMO with the limited time purchase invitations and used/legendary car dealerships. It was crappy before to feel like you are wasting your time playing anything other than Fisherman's Ranch to be able to afford these cars in a reasonable amount of time, but at least the earn-able hourly credits were decent. To cut these payouts in half and charge 20 real world earth dollars for 2m credits is a slap in the face to all fans.

    To be clear, microtransactions that are purely cosmetic are one thing. Even Free to Play games have gotten this right. Rocket League/Fortnite prints $$ for Epic, but I never feel that I am not competitive because I didn't spend any money on the game. But a full price AAA game pushing microtransactions for credits, which you need to be able to buy and tune cars that are competitive online, is simply not right. Please fix this game PD. I want to love it, but this microtransactions push is a shady business practice for a full price game.    … Expand

    I bought the game but it's still in the case. This micro transaction is a shame and devs must be punished to make you pay for cars when you already bought a game, even after this last update. In the same time, I'm playing elden ring Wich is so big and without all this bull$hitt. I'm a big Sony fan but this is not ok.

And for me, with my terrible skillz, quite challenging. The addition of the menu books provides a nice kind of story to follow along and progress slowly but surely. When you've done that, you have some nice cars, a bit of money and are ready to collect more cars. If you spend time getting to know the tracks (since update 1.11 also making you money), you will get better and better. Which is good, because online racing is also nice to do.

    All in all, this is a great racing game. It has that old GT feeling, at least for me, some of the old tracks are back and look better than ever. The cars handle great (for the most part) or you can tune them to make them at least drivable.

    EDIT: the only really annoying thing are the tickets. Why do I only win the lowest possible cash prize?    … Expand

    *UPDATE: The 1.11 update has made rewards fairer and added some excellent races. The 30min Le Mans is great with weather changes and a decent reward. Still going to be a grind to try to afford the gorgeous Alfa 8C 2900B, but more achievable now. PD moving in the right direction. Keep it up please.    … Expand

    Literally a zero for being unplayable for 36 hours. This game is where we've arrived at after years of complaining and warning about "always-online" requirements. You spend $80 or however much, trusting Polyphony's reputation, and you literally can't play it.

    Not to mention the absolutely predatory economy model. $120 for a Jaguar XJ13, or grind for 20 hours? Really, those are my options? Why model the cars if only 0.001% of players can experience them? Isn't this supposed to be a fantasy where we get to drive those cars? Why are race payouts so low, especially when you get nickel and dimed on tuning so often?

    I am so disappointed in this product it beggars belief. This was one of the reasons I invested in a PS5. And to hear Kazunori Yamauchi not listen to the community, to double down on these decisions, asking players to "take a long term view" is just insulting.

    Underneath all this, the game is, to be fair, very good. The driving experience is up to par with the GT standard. I just can't get past the way this is all being presented, it's disgusting.    … Expand

    With any new game nowadays, Gran Turismo 7 had a rocky start. The gameplay was more than what was asked for, but greed always likes to show its ugly face. Of course everyone was upset about the predatory micro transactions along with the subpar payouts from each race… but that was then. This is now.     Updated to 7 with new patch today sorting out the in game economy. Now just sort out the always connected one player career mode and I'll bump it to 9 as game play, graphics and fun are top notch!

    0/10 Game that could have been better if it wasn't got the mtx. 30 min race gives 10k credits - some cars cost 20 million. That's 1000 hours of solid playtime, not including you're everyday life or any of the menus. Luckly sony will sell you 2million credits for £20...

    Edit :Nachdem die Preisgelder wieder angepasst wurden, bin ich echt zufrieden.



    Jetzt noch mehr aktuelle Autos, ein paar Strecken und ganz wichtig der Online Zwang muss weg. Dann 10/10

    Las quejas de la comunidad, han conseguido mejorar el juego. Ahora tenemos una economía aceptable.
    Todo el mundo que puso un 0 por este motivo, creo que debería cambiarlo ahora mismo.

    After patch 1.10 polyphony digital fix game economic in better way. I changed my review from 0 to 8. Its decent game, still best online racing and matchmaking from all racing games. Amazing visuals, and physics. But there are lack of offline event and content, hope developers add more races and events

    I like the game! Actually it's one of the best racing games I've ever played. I drive with the Fanatec GT DD wheel and load cell brake. It's a pleasure for everyone who loves cars!
    Today they also fixed the credits issue!

    They fixed the issues related to low payment on races, and increased used car slots available, and added more missions quickly after complaints, at the current state of the game I would highly recommend

    Did they actually fixed it? YES, MY GOD THEY DID IT; They added new events and now the circuit experiences that would pay us up to 100k only now can pay up to 1.2 million credits, for driving around the track, with that they basically removed the grinding out of the way    Did they messed up with the grinding before? yes, yes they did;

    They added new events and now the circuit experiences that would pay us up to 100k only now can pay up to 1.2 million credits, for driving around the track, with that they basically removed the grinding out of the way (and the price for the credit packs on the ps store were halved if u want to spend real money for... some reason (fr, don't do that pls)) we got to the part were we sit down and enjoy the game and wait for the new cars and tracks to drop on the next months. Does it deserve a 10/10 from me? Not really, the game isn't perfect by any means, I would say a 8.5/10. Why I'm giving it a 10 for now? to try to pump the user score a bit up because I bet most of the 0/10 scores here will not be updated ever again sadly...
    But anyway, if ur reading this and is also playing the game, I hope u also have a good time playing it!

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
