    I just finish the Ragnarok story, what a journey! So impressive!
    I'l glad to have chance to play this game, was just to emotional for me, a lot of differents feelings! The artistical direction, character art, env, camera sequences was pixel perfect!

    I played 34 hours and went through all the story quests, and after that, I can say that I had a positive experience of the game as in the first part, in some moments even better. It will appeal to many but not all. PS: I hate hints in this game.

    An epic final to the North saga.
    like the previous game from 2018, it really drags you into this world with its beauty, characters and storyline.
    I enjoyed every moment, im very happy that the gow series is still doing so well after all these years.

    Claro q nem tudo são flores pq pode ver certos bugs aqui e ali porém nada q atrapalhe a gameplay pelo menos pra mim não atrapalhou. Dou nota 10 pq msm com receio de ter comprado na pré venda não me arrependo nem um pouco e com certeza será o goty desse ano de 2022    … Expand

    I purchased Ragnorok right when it launched digitally, thinking, "I must own this digitally because it's a masterpiece," because that's what everyone was saying before the game actually released. Honestly, I should have waited.

    After completing the game in six hours, I was left to stare at the God of War square that’s on my PS5 dashboard. It’s true what everyone has been saying    I purchased Ragnorok right when it launched digitally, thinking, "I must own this digitally because it's a masterpiece," because that's what everyone was saying before the game actually released. Honestly, I should have waited.

    After completing the game in six hours, I was left to stare at the God of War square that’s on my PS5 dashboard.

    It’s true what everyone has been saying before the game was delayed and launched. This is more of a DLC to the previous game than a new stand-alone sequel. There’s absolutely nothing new about Ragnorok. It’s a continuation of the previous game and that’s pretty much it. Sure, you get a new story, but nothing that will make you go “AHA!” There’s no new game play mechanics that will make you lose your mind. Just more of the same as all Sony’s other first party games.

    Does it look pretty on the PS5? It definitely does, but it also looks pretty on the PS4. No different between the two versions. The two versions look identical. The so-called power of the PS5 was not utilized at all. Major ball drop by the devs. The haptic feature is pointless because it drains the battery.

    The story itself is entertaining until a certain point. It’s a rinse and repeat game.

    The moral of the story and lesson learned, wait for a sale for this type of game. The hefty $70 price is not worth it and you’ll get the very same content when it drops to $25 during the holidays. Now I’m stuck with the digital version. Get the game for $25 during the holidays, then use the $45 use saved and get your soul sucked out of you by an OF creator. That’s the best advise I can give anyone that’s on the fence.    … Expand

    Una completa joya. El nivel narrativo, la música, todas esas escenas tan épicas. Sin palabras, hay que destacar que el juego en si, peca de algunas peleas quizás algo irrelevantes y que se repite. Pero después de lo que ví y completarlo. Estoy muy satisfecho y feliz.     buen juego, buenas mecánicas, su ambientación en la mitología nórdica esta bien adaptada, pero casi al mismo nivel del GOW 2018. pero aun extraño el hack n' slash de los GOW 1,2,3. esto no es mal juego pero es algo continuista respecto al GOW 2018, por eso mi nota.

The story is amazing, the gameplay is an improvement from the last game, and the characters are better. The last game was about building a father and son relationship between Kratos and Atreus while going on a journey to spread Faye's ashes, but this game is more about Atreus trying to find his place in the world while Kratos just wants to keep Atreus safe and hidden from the world. Not gonna get too much into spoilers but at the end of the game Kratos has to let go of Atreus who wants to find the rest of the Giants by himself. Kratos and Atreus hug each other in a very emotional ending and I think that pretty much teases Atreus as the main protagonist in the next game.… Expand

    Game is a lot bigger than the 2018 game in pretty much every aspect and I can easily recommend this game, even at full price. There are a few boring linear sections that kill some of the replayability but other than that I have literally nothing bad to say about this game. I think it's very possible this game will get Game of the Year if Elden Ring doesnt snatch it from them.

    Let's start with the gameplay. It is the exact same as the first God of War. There isn't much there in terms of gameplay evolution, this could be fine if the story was better however it is not as well written as the previous.     The puzzles in the gameplay frankly are a zero out of ten. Not because of the puzzles themself most are easy enough but due to the NPCS literally being on a 25 second timer to flat out tell you exactly how to do the puzzle. The designers don't even give you a single minute to try and figure it out before whatever NPC you are with explaining what to do and then rushing you along once you finish the puzzle. It is incredibly infuriating and is very telling of who this game was designed for.

    To put it simply the target audience of this game, is not serious gamers. It is people who do not like video games, or people who really just wanted to watch a movie. The NPCS rush you along through puzzles, long stretched out moments of just walking and dialogue, basic gameplay with no major evolutions. The highest difficulty feels like what the normal difficulty would be on a game made 12 years ago.

    This game is designed for the lowest common denominator and frankly it's insulting to be treated like an idiot by the game itself, but that is one of the dead giveaways to who it is designed for.

    The Sony formula is getting stale and the people who find this design appealing are dwindling. It has become an echo chamber of Sony fan boys while genuine criticism gets swished away as petty hate. This game doesn't even deserve to be nominated for GOTY yet alone win it.

    But GOTY awards need money and I'm sure Sony is willing to pay.

    Mid experience, mid, gameplay, atrociously annoying nps. Worth 15 dollars on sale.    … Expand

Такое ощущение будто обладатели пс4 обиделись что на их консолях не такая графика и скорость загрузки как на PS5))), ну это их проблемы, из-за такого пустяка не стоит занижать оценку, это не делает игру хуже, ведь God of War 2018 на PS4 смторится просто великолепно и у него прекрасная оценка, Ragnarok на PS4 смотрится тоже великолепно, на таком же уровне как и God of War 2018, почему пользователи PS4 занизили ей оценку? Не понятно даже.

Kratos is now going to be worshipped, the Norse gods died, the prophecy that kratos would die wasn't true because apparently Sony doesn't want to kill their golden goose. Such an MCU ending. Kratos has literally killed all the people of Greece because when the Olympians died Greece itself died but now people worship him because he is a decent father?

    This game should have been about kratos doing everything he can to avoid Ragnarok because he knows when you kill the gods the lands itself dies and it should have ended with kratos dying.    … Expand

    This is a great sequel to the 2018 GOW. Thank you the developers for putting all together and developing a great game with awesome storytelling. This is for me a perfect game.

    The upgrades menus etc. are a lot cleaner making it easier to choose upgrades. GoW 2018 overwelmed you with all those upgrades you could choose from, and i was afraid Ragnarok would add even more upgrades. I was surprised in a positive way.    Absolutely amazing.     Only Santa Monica coulde have done a perfect saga with only two games instead of a trilogy.
    Ragnarok close with perfection the norse saga and the whole evolution of Kratos and Atreus as characters.
    The gameplay is similar but perfect in every way (even more difficult), a GIANT open world with a complex level design so not anymore linear maps like the first game, a PERFECT endgame full of    Only Santa Monica coulde have done a perfect saga with only two games instead of a trilogy.

    It is illegal for games to look this good!!!! Been playing the main story for five days and what a rewarding journey that was. Totally totally recommended.

    Llevo unas 15 horas jugadas y me parece un juego impresionante. Obviamente es una continuación del God of War de 2018, pero el combate se siente distinto, mucho mejor. Los gráficos son muy buenos, y sobre todo la historia te lleva en un vaiven de emociones. Un juego espectracular y único. Recomiendo 100%

    Muy buena continuación, he de decir que llevo unas 8 horas de juego, en ps5 se ve genial y hay un salto gráfico, aunque verdaderamente no se sienta un juego next-gen si que vale la pena esta versión. es mucho más completo a la hora de combatir y más espectacular que su antecesor, Haré una valoración final cuando lo acabe

    Sometimes the game is fun, but most of it is a walking simulator with gorgeous places and lots of cinematic scenes, but very little gameplay. Very linear and boring trough some sections, specially when you play as Loki. I prefer gow 2018 over ragnarok, it had more gameplay and freedom.

Storytelling, dialogue, game-play-mechanics and combat are crafted with so much love for the smallest detail, its simply astonishing. The game is so ultra polished that it comes pretty close to perfection. And man, what an eyeopener the graphics are. One of the few real next-gen-titles. The storyline makes little sense and some characters like Jormungandr and Fenrir feel completely irrelevant. The game feels rushed even after so many years in development and it got repetitive pretty fast.     I can't help but tip my hat to the entire Santa Monica team. The deeper you delve into the game, the more you'll be drawn into the stunning story of a father and son against the backdrop of perhaps history's most horrific war. Throw in some casually endearing humour, great and fluid gameplay, and wrap it all up with an amazing audiovisual experience. [Issue#323]

    Thanks to an amazing cast that’s doing an outstanding job, a compelling story told through the eyes of multiple characters, and top-notch combat, this epic and heartfelt journey strikes all the right chord. It’s impossible not to recommend God of War Ragnarok, but just in case you had any doubts, I strongly advise anyone mildly interested in gaming to play Santa Monica Studio’s latest masterpiece.
