    Not worth the buy, hot buggy mess. over 40 hours of gameplay, 2 corrupted saves. One I am unable to upgrade glider because option is not in the craftmaster store and other save I am unable to claim a windmill due to no interaction option. halting my 100% save.

    From writing standpoint alone, Days Gone is miles ahead of this game. Days Gone has more depth, more natural dialogue, more interesting world design, better graphics and so on. Why i'm even mentioning Days Gone is the fact how big downgrade Days Gone 2 really is in terms of open world zombie games over the years. It's even worse than DL1 in many areas.

    I will go through the main points that hooked me 1. Zombies - Into the Dying Light 2 you are not at all afraid of zombies,    Very bad! I'm Fan of Dying Light and I'm very sad about Stay Human.
    I am a game designer and I understand how many difficulties techland had to overcome during this time, but there is a feeling that they went on about Ubisoft. And they made another resource grinder.
    I will go through the main points that hooked me
    1. Zombies - Into the Dying Light 2 you are not at all afraid of zombies, you don't care about them, they are boring and not dangerous. while in dying light 1 you try to get to the shelter before nightfall because it was really hard to survive at night.
    The mechanics of the new zombies are not impressive, they still spit, jump, and others are slow.
    2. Interface - what happened to the interface? Did you hire an interface designer directly from Ubisoft? Seriously, it's very similar to Farcry and Assassin's Creed. The previous interface was not as intuitive, but it was simple and straightforward with its own unique style.
    3. Gameplay mechanics
    The battle became boring and repetitive from time to time, it was simply complicated by dodging and parrying, forgetting about the repulsion of enemies.

    The grappling hook has become very realistic, but we are in the game and the fact that in Dying Light 1 you could quickly move to the roof directly from the ground often saved me from dangerous zombies, oh wait in Dying Light 2 there are no dangerous zombies!

    The paraglider is a great idea, the implementation is **** By the way, in Dying Light 1 there was a paraglider that just helped you descend from a tall building or fly several tens of meters, in Dying Light 2 you fly with this parachute all over the map, but why?

    Parkour has become more interesting due to new tricks, but you can really quickly climb somewhere only towards the end of the game when you don’t need it at all. You have to constantly wait for your stamina to recover.

    4. Quests and main campaign
    Some quests are really interesting and unusual, but they are negligible.
    The main campaign and the main character, to my regret, did not cause any feelings. You don't empathize with the hero, his loss of his sister, you don't feel like you're the hero. in the first part, getting on the quest of the main campaign, Kyle Crane was really in a hurry and ran headlong, remember at least the escape from the pit from Rice.

    Dying Light 2 has its good points, like the layering of the map and its size, the history of the city and its surroundings, but all this does not matter if there is no such work on the details as Dying Light 1.

    In general, the game turned out for a large mass of the average level in order to go through once. I am disappointed and disappointed with the result. We were expecting a completely different game.

In short: zombies at in 5 fps, all objects further than 5 meters are blurred, trees on buildings in 2D, grass in 2D, quests are boring, dialogs are loading with about 5 sec delay. Sometimes after you had a dialog you need to go 2 meters to wait for another dialog... A lot of bugs. Why can't you just play your game and see whatI never write reviews, but for this game I have to write.     Controls are the worst. You can't slide because of delay. You can't can't the buttons. Want to use x as jump? Too bad mandatory R1? It is so Dumb I can't stand it! In a game about traversal you should feel comfortable with the controls. They don't care how you feel. Bad gamedon't buy until they fix it.

    The game is broken with glitches, I m playing on ps5 and the graphics are outdated and poorly optimized, 1080p 60fps with several drops in this hardware (ps5) is unbelievable wait for sale or don’t touch it at all boring missions and side quest lots of copy and paste bs looks like a 2015 game

    This was my least favourite gaming experience since cyberpunk and that’s saying something. This game was an abomination from beginning to end. I put 200+ hours into the game (mostly getting out of bounds) trying to platinum the game only for it to glitch out collectibles and trophies. Remember the whole game reveal where draining the water was significant? Not a major thing. Remember whenThis was my least favourite gaming experience since cyberpunk and that’s saying something. This game was an abomination from beginning to end. I put 200+ hours into the game (mostly getting out of bounds) trying to platinum the game only for it to glitch out collectibles and trophies. Remember the whole game reveal where draining the water was significant? Not a major thing. Remember when it said your choices matter to the story? It all ends up convolved together to get to the same point. I had every glitch you could encounter, I had characters stop talking with no mouth movements and no subtitles so I had no idea of the story in the beginning, I fell through the map, I got stuck, enemies would glitch through the roof, missions wouldn’t spawn, collectibles gone, couldn’t walk out of an invisible box, trophies glitch, character endless falling animation, graphics going completely haywire, Easter eggs not triggering and I managed to get outside the first island before it was finished and explore the second island… The story was boring, the music score wasn’t blended well with the surroundings to the point you knew a chase scene was happening before it happened, and the missions were so stupid. Why’d I get xp from listening to a guy talk about fish? Oh and the whole fact of being able to farm xp at night. I hated every second of the 200+ hrs I put into this game. How did you get it so wrong techland when you had an incredible foundation from the first game?… Expand

    The game glitches out at the final boss, my 21 hours of playing mean nothing because the last stage of the last boss is unbeatable on my ps5. I am so sick of games coming out so broken, this is inexcusable.

Additional content as lackluckster as its predecessor, and genuinely hurts to play. Both games have such a fun charm at its base, and continues to deteriorate with every update. I played on launch day, experienced plenty of bugs, few gamebreaking, but that’s to be expectedWholeheartedly disappointing. I check in another couple months later to the same stuff, only new bugs with yet another….~arena dlc~! So unique, truly groundbreaking. There’s really not much to say beyond detailing every last way this game has failed to work on both editions, across several major updates, across several saves.     The voice acting is awful, and quests are an endeavour to see how long an individual can withstand terrible level design and boring objectives. Parkour is floaty and underwhelming. It lacks the connectivity and oomph of the first game.

    This game would probably be fun if it wasn't broken. Developer has acknowledged various game-breaking bugs which have not yet been fixed on subsequent patches. Not sure what game the "critics" played, but in its current state it is unplayable for any extended period of time. Shameful for a game to be released in this state and for refunds not to be offered.

This will be the last game ever I preorder completely unfinished pile of crap which shouldWorst buggy mess ever.     Immunity timers kills this game. This game doesn't want you to play at your own pace. It's always rushing you to craft and eat mushrooms or find a black light to sit under. If you are on a stealth mission, don't think for a second that you can chill for a minute and plan out your next move, because the timer is always ticking and nagging away at you.

    So I own a ps5, and I'm able to download the ps5 version with better frame rate and resolution, however if I want to play with my friends that's still on ps4, I need to play the ps4 version of the game and my save data DOES NOT carry over between the 2 versions. Now I'm stuck with the last gen version of the game on my next gen console just to play with friends.

The game is programmed to screw you over whenever it can. 100% of my deaths can be attributed to the fact that the movement system no longer works, and it's basically impossible to perform precise maneuvers due to how floaty and automatic it is now. The lighting effects are a joke, especially when there are black outlines. The black outlines makes this game look like a Telltale game. The sound effects are laughable, especially the zombie sound effects.

The lighting effects are a joke, especially when there are black outlines. The black outlines makes this game look like a Telltale game. The sound effects are laughable, especially the zombie sound effects.

    This game still uses the extremely outdated Bethesda design of picking locks. This is a $60 AAA PS5 game. At this point, I should be seeing the protagonist picking the locks in real-time. The developers are too greedy and lazy for that. The developers were also cheap and lazy to make actual looting animations. The AI is incredibly stupid. The open world in this game is boring and repetitive. The physics are beyond horrible. There are too many bugs and glitches. The trees look like trash. This game looks and feels like an off-brand Far Cry game.

    The co-op in this game is trash. Too many framerate drops. The greedy developers didn't even bother to make a PvP mode, despite the previous installment having PvP. The developers would rather brag about the game being 500 hours long. It's 500 hours alright, 500 hours of boredom. They already failed in making a compelling liniar story in the first game, what made them think a story with choices (which is far more demanding) was gonna work out any better? The story was unbearable to get through ontop of such garbadge voiceacting. Why would I care for how much choices I have when I don't care about anything going on? Take "The walking dead" season 1&2 by Telltale games for example, which btw its sole gamemechanic is choices, I very much enjoyed these games. Despite having barely any of its choices truly matter I still enjoyed every opertunity I got to invest in it's story, because I CARED FOR IT. Not for Dying light. Do NOT BUY for its story.

    OPEN WORLD/ EXPLORATION:
    Here I can see people argue there has been improvements. For me, overall it's a strong NO. The open world has more fun layouts for you to interact with as you parkour, yes but there are no fun encounters, sidequests or gratifying loot to find. It was just no fun whatsoever to explore.
    Weapons break so fast you don't even care when you find a ledgendary weapon, and where the hell did all the weapon blueprints go?! That was my favorite loot in the first game!

    GRAPHICS:
    Who cares? It's Dying light, it has never been at the forefront for this game. Gameplay and exploration is what makes or breaks in this game. Graphics has been improved no doubt, but nothing to be competing with other triple-A-games in the industry. Clothes claim to change your stats but it’s so insignificant that it does not matter. I then thought “I’ll just choose the ones I think look cool then instead”, but they all look boring. Side missions are a joke. First side mission I tried was about a guy talking about a fish!? that’s it!? The majority of side missions I’ve tried are them pointing at a challenge. Don’t try to trick me this is a side mission, it’s just a challenge with a guy pointing at it. I usually play almost all side missions in open world games and this must be the worst I have ever experienced claiming this game has side missions.

    The first game was awesome. Did it have flaws? Yes the main story was not great but the overall game was awesome. I feel like the only thing, for some reason, they took from the feedback from the first game was that people was not a huge fan of the main story. And their response was let us create a much worse story and only focus on that, so that what was good about the first game is just not present anymore! Where are the legendary blueprints you could find? Fun skill tree? Side missions? There is nothing to do in this empty open world. Nothing to work towards. Nothing to save up money for or a skill I want to get. The skill tree is really weird for some reason I could just pick the last skill in both trees as one of my first skills. That makes no sense. I played this game on hard difficulty but I just felt that they made resources more scarce. I upgraded some of my blueprints at the beginning but I never had enough resources to actually use them. Whats even the point of making an open world game if there is nothing to do except for the main story (which was bad).

    The world has a lot of copy paste content. All indoor sections look the same. They even ruined the day/night cycle for exploration. In the first game you could choose if you want to explore a volatile nest during the night or day. More zombies are inside during the day but it can be more difficult and scary to get to the nest during the night. In the second game they claim to have the same choice but it is just not true! I was inside a GRE facility during the day and the zombies spawned right on me by the second. I wanted the challenge but the game did not let me. Why lie about this feature when it is not implemented in the game. Fat zombies literally spawned and exploded on me every 10 seconds because it was during the day!?

    The only thing that was fun about this game was laughing about how bad the story was. People constantly calling you telling you that they love Lawan and if you hurt her they will get mad. I DON’T KNOW LAWAN. Why does everyone in this game care for Lawan? Why even fight amongst each other? Just make amends and bond over the fact that you all LOVE Lawan! If the game did not force Lawan and her kill list (really is she 5yo?) down my throat I might have enjoyed Lawan as a character more. But now she together with the rest of the story just feels like a cringy mess. You where not able to make a linear story in the first game. What made you think you could pull of a story with choices? Like I can’t climb this rock but I’ll show them, I’ll climb Everest! Why!? The studio really doesn’t have the maturity to create a game with several choices. To do that successfully you truly need to be able to create characters with depth not just black and white characters. This was embarrassing and I really can’t understand anyone giving this game a higher score. I’m not even going to talk about the bugs although they are game breaking and very common. Fixing the bugs won’t change my opinion or score of this game. You can clearly see how they struggled with the vision for this project. Messy leadership leads to messy game.    … Expand

    Singleplayer works i guess but COOP is so broken, desync, duplicated objects like chests, gastanks, explosions not syncing, Keypresses not working, the worst of all is that your [Q] button just stops working all the time so no scanning. And this delay/bug also works for other keys so many times you fall to your death because key stop working in COOP. Singleplayer no issues. It looks like they try to sync your Keypresses to the host but that should be Client side, As soon as the matchmaking server goes offline you lose your connection. P2P anyone??? It is very VERY frustrating to play in COOP.

    Also it is a CONSOLE port game, everything is taylored to Console and controller. Your weapons, tools etc must be chosen with a long press, no easy weapon swap with scroll wheel, no they add scroll wheel to your trowables. It is such a shame, DL1 was EPIC. this is just a sloppy secondhand game. Too much focus on Story which is really bad, very bad acting, sound design is very bad, Adults do child voices it is sooo cringy.

    The gameplay, parkour zombieslaying is the only thing that is OK. the rest is soo cringy and bad. DL3 will be a NO buy next time. Such a shame    … Expand

Even with a $60 before taxes price tag, I'd still recommend waiting for a sale and/or a major update to the game.

    I can't believe I am doing this....I am giving Dying Light 2 a 0. I spent more time in the graphics options than I did playing the game. Which is honestly a pretty game but, playing Dying Light 1 on the Switch, I realize it's not that big of an upgrade. Especially playing the Following expansion. Which I played immediately after my first combat encounter just to get that horrible taste outI can't believe I am doing this....I am giving Dying Light 2 a 0.     Seriously? a big step back compared to the first DL.
    Bugs, crash and the first one was dubbed in Italian language, this not. How can u pretend Italian people trust and enjoy your product while you don't care about us?

    Seems anyway interesting game but i will wait for 15$

The PS5 and XBOX version is really painful, bad resolution and optimization of the new hardware close to zero, another cross gen title that heavily disappoints on the new gen, the first chapter was much more immersive and well detailed much more mature unlike this clown for children.     1080p to get 60FPS on next gen console is a joke. The graphics basically looks like Nintendo Switch in a docked mode. Playing at 30 FPS does not make any sense with that much parkour in the game. Poor graphics optimization and not the best use of system's resources.

    The game with awful optimization, the game, which I have been waiting 7 year is **** They destroyed fighting system, they destroyed parkour system and my favourite: DENUVO!! This DRM protection eating like 20-30% of ur fps.

First part was one of the scariest zombie games you could ever find, it has an amazing plot and gameplay. Second part is just for a little children: no more blowing heads or scary zombies, no more interesting evil characters or normal plot.     There's a warning that you're going to leave the mission area and die in 4 seconds later.
    It dies infinitely every 4 seconds and repeats itself.
    There's no solution and it's impossible to play games.
    It occurred a day after it started and couldn't do it all weekend.
    Don't buy it.

    The game is just bad, i don't know why it feel like a downgrade from the first game. In the first game the sound and the movement is so much better, the story in both games are bad but in the DL2 is so much worse. and the hitbox it is like from a joke game from facebook.

    Please wait some time to buy it on a sale.

    Dying Light 2: Stay Human looks more like a DLC to the first game than a whole new one. This does not mean it is a bad game, but it is not one that you should rush to buy. It looks and feels like you are playing the same Dying Light from years ago, and despite the storytelling being solid and entertaining, it is not enough to justify buying it right now.

    Delivering a huge improvement on the first title, but lacking with new features, Dying Light 2 Stay Human is quite fun, brutal, rewarding and a game of exceptional quality when it comes to the open world. Minor issues still exist here, but Techland successfully manages to live up to the hype surrounding the game.

    Dying Light 2 ups the ante from the original in almost every way, offering more satisfying parkour, combat and enough jump scares to make you never want to walk in the darkness ever again. A worthy and essential sequel.
