    In general Diablo IV is a very decent ARPG. Some of the decisions the systems designers made have to be questioned but there is lots of room for improvement.
    I like the game and don’t regret buying it. If you are into ARPG‘s I‘d recommend you buy the base version and give it a try.

    Great game for Diablo fans. If you play normally, you are motivated for a long time. Currently at 100h playtime and so I think: For the money enough content. Through individual seasons there will always be something to do.

    I believe that Diablo 4 has been overly criticized. It seems evident to me that the shortcomings in the game's endgame will be addressed. Even in Diablo 2, there were many issues before the "LOD" expansion came out.

    Apart from that, the game is quite enjoyable while leveling, and the itemization is well done. It deserves around 8 points in my opinion.

    Game was decent on launch, Not superb but Mediocre in my opnion. The 70$ price tag is just too much with in came cash shop.

    Itemization is extremely shallow Skill tree is shallow Paragon system is underwhelming Build diversity is really lack lustre was looking for for season 1 hopeful that they ill add a lot of contents come the latest nerf patch they just killed this game.     Can't create new character after patch for season 1. Crashes right away. Good work Blizzard. I got a mobile aswell so should be good, trying to push it into PS5. NO WORK HELP!

    The developers continuously work to remove any 'fun' out of the game. As soon as anything positive is posted about an ability, piece of gear, or skill/aspect, the developers flag it as an item needing to be nerfed. The company is actively working to remove everything fun out of the game.

    NO quality-of-life changes. Characters share the SAME vault space. Gem storage, aspect storage, potions, all crammed into one vault with 4 tabs for all characters. This is an inventory management game!

    Then they nerfed the crap out of everything. Spent many hours leveling up to 99, the day before the patch. Crawled to level 100, died to yard trash on NM levels that were reasonable    NO quality-of-life changes. Characters share the SAME vault space. Gem storage, aspect storage, potions, all crammed into one vault with 4 tabs for all characters. This is an inventory management game!

    Events in dungeons have npc's that need to be protected but don't scale with dungeon level so they die from anything.

    Respecing at max level involves over 450 clicks....

    End game is boring with only helltides and nightmare dungeons.

    World bosses have such long respawn timers and terrible spawn times.

    Getting upgrades at 75+ is slow if not impossible with uber uniques drop rates lower than winning the lottery.

    Builds for each class all have a majority of slots taken by the same few skills leaving 1 or 2 slots free.

    Game balance is awful some classes have multiple viable builds where others have none.

    Dev team is of extremely poor quality and it shows with the continuous tone death patches and responses to community feed back.

    Inventory is very limited with one shared stash for 10 characters.

    Constant nerfing of xp, drop rates, items, aspects, skills, and modifiers to slow down gameplay making it feel even more unrewarding like a working in a coal mine instead of playing a game.

    tldr this game is extremely flawed and it is nobodies fault but the developers and higher ups it's not worth spending your time or money on this cash grab.    … Expand

The game was released, they had end-game feedback since late 2022 and, after selling tons of copies and getting good reviews, they slowed down progression across the board instead of balancing the game, probably due to their "game as a service" (aka cosmetic shop, since the seasonal content is minimal) priorities.

    I always play as some kind of dark user so im was really happy to try a necromancer with Minions mastering. The game have nice ambient and sound, the effects and the initial lore was so dark that i was having a blast so far while leveling.

    I Mostly spend all my game time playing the story mode, when i reach endgame T3 i sadly noticed and realized that this was a treadmill and endless farming.
    I stopped playing and I've been waiting with hope that the famous season will bring improvements and less tedious gameplay but was all the contraries, The last patch just finished to F&% the game even more.

    This will be my last blizzard product, before diablo IV my last product was Diablo III so you better believe me when i say I WONT Spend a single dollar in this crap company anymore.
    I will uninstall so hard this game that even will format my SDD to delete all vestige.    … Expand

    -Lack of inventory
    -Lack of stash tabs
    -Lack of aspect inventory space
    -Some KEY aspects for some builds are not in the codex, making leveling/switching gear unfun
    -T100 nightmare dungeons difficulty is now nerfed to the T70 difficulty was, No End Game pushing anymore

Das würde wenigstens etwas motivieren. Die Items die man findet ich schaue fast gar nicht mehr nach wird direkt verkauft nur kurz die Aspekte. Irgendwas fühlt sich da Falsch an.

Wie gesagt das Lvln macht einfach kein Bock und ist zu zäh. Ich bin Ratlos. Ich werde ein Scheissdreck tun und die Season mit einem neuen Charakter Starten. Ich will mein ein Charakter stetig ausbauen und Spass haben. Nicht immer wieder von neu anfangen. Blizzard kümmert sich um Dinge die Nutzlos sind anstatt das Spiel zu verbessern und auszubauen.     Activison is now only using the Blizzard name to get every penny they can out of players. Good job activision you fooled us yet again with another bad game just like diablo immortal another cash grab garbage. The saddest part is alot of people are easily fooled and are ok with this.

    К сожалению - игру превратили в ММО проект по вытягиванию денег.
    Игру делали не для удовольствия игроков а в качестве второй работы, притом за которую ещё и заплатить нужно.
    Если хотите делать игры на 100% ради денег - уберите название "Диабло" и приставьте к названию ММО. И ещё, сделайте её Free-to-Play если хотите сохранить название но всё так же халтурно делать ради денег и не    К сожалению - игру превратили в ММО проект по вытягиванию денег.

    I played all Diablo series since original, this one is so messy … The story is quite poorly written, the way it starts is nonsensical and evolve totally by chance. Majority of NPG are all flat and pointless with no meaning in their stories. I don't even get to understand WHY we are involved in chasing this demon ... what are the motivations?

    Finding a good armor or sword has become totally pointless, the game keep throwing at u so many objects that they have become simply money. There is no more joy about finding a really good weapon.

    The monsters respawn is damn annoying … why am I doing all that mess if no progress can be perceived on the field? And why all monsters continue becoming stronger ? What is the point of growing if u never benefit from that?

    The mechanic is always fun and fights entertaining and thrilling but i was hoping to see some evolution in this series. if wasn't for my broken foot i wouldn't play again this game.    … Expand

    I love the game, it has some minor flaws in some systems that's why I'm rating it 8/10. Already spend 100+ hours on it and I plan on spending more

    EDIT: After 200 hours the game got boring very quickly in the late game, changing my review to 6/10. Didn't even bother playing Season 1

    Diablo 4 appears to have one primary function: to waste your time. Every feature seems deliberately designed to maximize time consumption. I managed to reach level 50 in a mere two days, yet the slog to level 62 required a considerable grind through Paragon levels.

    Beware not to be drawn in by the enticing first act; the game is fundamentally raw and bereft of substance. The open world is disappointingly sparse, and the monotony sets in swiftly as you explore and quest.

    The storyline is frankly stupid, with hollow characters that lack depth and intrigue. This 'new Diablo' is a disappointing offering from the contemporary Blizzard team.

    The difficulty curve is wildly inconsistent. Despite a level cap of 50, if you complete all quests in the first act and conquer all the dungeons on T2, you'll conclude the first act at around levels 40-45, creating a disconcerting imbalance.

    The loot system is nonsensical. At level 62, I'm still clinging onto legendaries from level 30+ due to their superior stats. Additionally, the first act leaves you almost fully equipped with legendary items, rendering the presence of white and blue items in the game meaningless.

    Post-game content is barren and monotonous, revolving solely around grinding for keys. Despite my efforts, T4 remains inaccessible, as I can't defeat the necessary boss. Yet, I've managed to clear 20 keys, each swarming with 70+ mobs, with surprising ease.

    However, credit must be given where it's due. Diablo 4 does offer an addictive gameplay loop, and there's potential for future improvement. My hope lies in the developers' ability to patch the existing bugs and inject more meaningful content. As it stands, it feels as though there's little to do unless you're an ardent fan or you've grown weary of Path of Exile.    … Expand

    There's a fair bit to like about Diablo IV — best-in-class sound design, intriguing character classes, fantastic graphics and occasionally addictive gameplay all feel like the series in its prime. However, even the best parts are let down by an undercurrent of frustrating design choices: the cynical inclusion of a Battle Pass, a bloated open world, repetitive mission structure and progression that too often feels meaningless cast a long shadow that let the latest Diablo title down. Future Seasons may refine what's here, but many of its issues sadly feel baked into the core experience. All but the most die-hard fans may wish to wait for a substantial sale on this one.

    The visuals are probably what excited me the most. The way the game looks and the atmosphere makes me feel like I'm playing the old Diablo again. On steroids and on a quadruple screen TV, but the feeling is still there. [Issue#328]

    Diablo is back, and taking no prisoners. The top-quality, lengthy campaign will be enough for some, while the endgame should prove a welcome obsession for others. [Issue#30, p.84]
