    Most bugs and issues have been resolved by now, so at this point it's a really interesting AND enjoyable game.

    It's pretty okay Assassin's Creed, nothing great or amazing, but still fun enough. Have to give it 10, because some people think it's really funny to give 0/10 to game they have never played.

On top of that this game is too long, this game is supposed to be a 60 hour game.

    I enjoyed playing this game. It has a lot of fun mechanics/mode. But the story starts with a bang, then whimpers out midway through (after Suthsexe). The second half story feels a bit like grinding through zones with not much of an overarching story. I would also have liked to see more stealth-focused missions -- like the earlier AC games.

    The only thing that makes me give this game 7 stars itself is the gore.I completely loved this type of gore in an ac game which has never been done before
    On the other hand gameplay wise this game is not ac and hell even odyssey was more fun

    Valhalla is extremely mid. The game play, soundtrack and graphics are good, the setting is good. The story is not so good.

    It is incredibly repetitive, the missions are all the same. I could not complete a side quest without falling asleep. It is another classic Ubisoft copy and paste job. I hope that Mirage is different.

    I came to the franchise in Assasin's Creed Origins. Odyssey was not the best follow up for me, but this is truly an amazing come back. this game is so engaging, the story is great..the mechanics are enjoyable..i feel like im watching 'The last kingdom' on Netflix at times..which i thorughly enjoyed all 5 seasons of. This a great piece of work!

    I like vikings and this game achieved great immersion when I can just be lost for hundreds of hours in and enjoy every second of it. Music and graphics are amazing! Story is really enjoyable and open world is really big but not hollow.

    Bleh. Nothing in this game feels good to do, it feels lazy and unfun. I know it's not a very in depth comment, but this game is just a waste of everything that went into it.Leave it to AC to make a viking game boring. Pretty impressive to make something this mediocre at everything. Not to mention this is just too bloated and grindy.

    A game so bloated, so repetitive, so devoid of any genuine inspiration that it relies on an endless drip-feed of upgrades, buffs, cosmetics, etc. to keep the player engaged. A broken lighting system, innumerable bugs, and gross historical inaccuracies top off a thoroughly flawed experience. Do not be fooled by the slick marketing for this game.

    I get bored with the repetition of similar quests that are work-intensive.
    The action is slow and unexhilarating.
    The map is large, and moving around by boat is tedious.

    Ubisoft and that TRASH photo mode needs to go. When your fighting a Zelot or boss on the PS5 the camera will beat you not the game difficulty. Putting the camra mode as R3 & L3 absolutely screw the game up and takes fun out. You will have to battle the camera the most, id give a better score because the game is ok but the camera is TRASH! BUT it is my favorite assassins creed since ezio &Ubisoft and that TRASH photo mode needs to go. When your fighting a Zelot or boss on the PS5 the camera will beat you not the game difficulty. It tries so hard to be like other open world RPGS with meaningful choices (See Witcher 3) and tries to copy the combat of (God of War) and loses it's own identity in the process. This is Viking simulator. And not a good one. Sloppy controls that have you falling everywhere instead of being a stealthy killers. Add to that the lack of a decent story. Forty hours I've wasted on this just toI've tried so hard to like this game but I've come to the conclusion it's just not a good game. I really liked Odyssey for a good while thanks to the story but started getting bored with that one further in. This starts out as a snoozefest and then just keeps getting worse.     The story is so nothing. I didn't feel invested at all and it isn't engaging. It was very generic and written like a bunch of Americans read a couple of grade school books about vikings and watched too many Marvel movies. The phrases they use and the way they talk sound more like they pray to the Marvel Odin than the Norse Odin. You have all these one off interactions with people like you're supposed to know them and have a rapport but why do I the player care? I just met them and they're supposed to matter? This is just bad storytelling.

    Okay graphics, it's a step back. On PS5 you'd expect more but the snow effects are bad and it looks like I'm a rolling pin through a mountain of cake icing, the rigging and character models look outdated, the Odin object indication lacks definition and there are no settings to fix it. I hear things ping but even gold items barely show up on my OLED screen. The bird mechanic is half useless most of the time until you upgrade their functions.

    Gameplay is pretty awful. Parry just doesn't work right. The button layout is bad but customizing it is like a 20 minute task as you can't just remap a button you have to remap every function and they all seem to collide. I've gotten stuck in a few spots, enemies see me in hiding at times, view distance for enemy archers is insane far and their accuracy is ridiculous. Staggering enemies seems broken and a lot of the battles you just dodge a lot. A lot of missions require you head on fight and with how broken fighting is I feel like I'm playing a bad GoW war clone.

    The sailing is so bad. It's unrealistic but also clunky. I like the auto sail mechanics but sailing seems like an afterthought where they just shoved in black flag mechanics on a tiny boat.

    Navigating and interactions are probably the worst part. Climbing is essential to AC and when it's bad it breaks the game. Want to climb a roof? Well scramble around until you see a prompt come up that says you can climb here then do it because if you guess you're always wrong and you just come out of hiding and get spotted. Go into a window? Better make sure you're at the right angle in the right spot or you just stand there. Climb down a cliff? Crouch then hold crouch otherwise you just stand there. Half the time you're better off just jumping and taking the damage.

    Using a horse is also important. Too bad most of the time when you call it the horse rushes right past you and keeps running. You never even get the chance to get on it like the horse is mocking you. If you're not near enough to a road auto nav doesn't work either you just get a message that says "cannot auto navigate".

    Oh and I saved the worst for last. The sound mixing and music. For the most part either the music in this game doesn't exist or it's mixed terribly. At the very beginning of the game you're at a party with a guy playing music yet you hear no music, just people. Why? The audio either sounds muffled or distorted and I have a nice home theater. The worst is the horrid tin high pitched triangle sound that marks the start of world music and lasts far too long while also being way too high frequency. If you have tinnitus it will trigger it. Then any time you open menus you might get the title song and it goes on for a while. You hear that song when you sync, when you do certain things, at certain mission points, way way too much and what should be a beautiful title theme is an annoying everything theme. In other games it was a minor song that lasted as long as the interaction but this is very loud, very abrupt, the loudest thing in the game by far, and it plays for a few minutes after the event stopped.

    It also sounds like a lot of the audio samples were done in a sound booth or bathroom. Real world sounds you expect in most games just aren't there.

    I'm a little torn by this game. The vikings were great, Eivor was great, the combat and exploration was great. I loved the opening few hours, and the closing few hours. The whole middle section of the game really drags; I think they just made it too long. I think it could have been better if the whole game had been set in Norway, because the sections of the game set there were FAR more interesting. I also hated the male/female Eivor choice. It was so obviously just their way of giving butthurt male players an option to play as a male, instead of Ubisoft just giving us a sole female protagonist for once.
    In Odyssey, it made sense; whoever you didn't pick still featured in the game as the antagonist, and it works very very well. Male Eivor had no place in this game, considering female Eivor was the canon, and the male one is stuffed into this Valhalla story that has NO place in the game. No hate to the voice actor of course!     I have stuck in the mission flann, and I can’t progress with main quest for 4 month!!! 4 month thousands of people experiencing this bug and can’t play game! While this casino is updating their shop every few days and trying to new custom sets!! It got worse than EA!!!

    Assassin's Creed Valhalla is The Ultimate Assassin's Creed experience that combines elements from past and from more recent games while adding some new flavor. Strong recommendation, specially after patch 1.0.4.

There are certain quests that have been bugged since release that Ubisoft STILL has not fixed, but they keep pushing updates to sell cosmetics.

    The game became repetitive real quick. The map is overwehlming. The world is stunning, as usual, but i found myself bored in like 10 hours in game. If you're tired of all the viking/norse mythology we're getting and not an absolute fan of the AC franchise, it might not be your smartest move to buy this game.

    Feels like there are a lot of Ubi-bots on this site... Have all these positive reviewers never played an AC game before? I've been a huge fan of the entire main series (minus Unity—couldn't get past the out-of-place British accents) but this game has been a disappointment so far.

I've been a huge fan of the entire main series (minus Unity—couldn't get past the out-of-place British accents) but this game has been a disappointment so far.

    The story is interesting, but poorly executed. And I do really enjoy the new gear upgrading system, as well as the new talent tree (which is really the only thing that motivated me to keep playing). Those are really the only good things I can say about the game. I understand the development team was forced to work around the pandemic, but I'd have gladly waited however long it takes to fully polish this game.

    My enjoyment of this title was consistently hamstrung by moments of stunning sloppiness. Didn't RDR2 already show us how to do snowy environments? Honestly—and very disappointingly—playing Assassin's Creed: Odyssey on my PS4 looks miles better than Valhalla on my PS5. I sincerely hope Ubisoft can patch in some graphical improvements ASAP, but it's so much more than that. The animations are unnatural, the combat is often unresponsive, and the company's refusal to fully commit to a female protagonist is perennially disappointing.

    It still scratches the AC itch, but I know from playing past games that it could have been so much better. Maybe I *will* just go back to Odyssey...    … Expand

    Is it a good game? Well, it's decent.
    Is it something new? Absolutely no, everything is safe.
    The game is ok to play, but oh-god, it's so boring after 20 hours. Like, you are doing the same things over and over and over. The problem is they are not fed-ex quests, it's the main story.
    So even if the game looks good, the boredom I got is a no-go for me here.

    This game is a chore. For every quest (story was mediocre at best) there is a 40(sic!) collectibles. for the 120h to complete 20 is for a pretty poor storyline, rest is just running around finding keys for chest, or fire barrels for walls. Definitley worst of the last 3 assassins games.
    Dull, boring and repetetive. Dont hurt yourselves and stay away from this bs

    Too long, story is boring, Eivor isn't a compelling character like Ezio, Bayek or even Alexios. The best thing about this game was the loading times - and that's just a PS5 feature. If you loved the Ezio trilogy, or Origins/Odyssey, then avoid this game. It's nowhere near as good. The first ever AC that I returned for a refund.

    The ideas behind this game are good verging on great. However, the execution is very lackluster. I encountered gameplay halting bugs that made it near impossible to play the game properly. Things like climbing through an open window, talking to an essential NPC, or trying to loot a crate during a raid are impossible because of glitches I keep encountering.

At first it seems ok, just a little bug here and there but as you progress it gets worse and worse to the point where you simply cannot complete certain tasks. This is not a "fake review" like all the 10/10s say. This game is so buggy its unplayable.

    The game is 70% fun i like the graphic , the mechanics ,combat and the town progresion
    But there are cuple - :
    - Enemies are unbalanced like spear guy
    - enemy menceneries are also unbalanced , when you have 250 power he can still easyly beat you
    - a lot! of bugs

    The so called "gameplay" - OKAY... now... where to begin. Lets begin with exploration. I LOVE exploration games but climbing a humongous mountain to reach something AND NOT EVEN GET REWARDED other than a **** synchronization point and an overview over some plains you just travelled in is not something i was looking forward to. It feels forced and blant and frankly boring. Again like the characters.

    The raiding mechanic is fine i guess and fits the theme.

    The base-building is also "somewhat important" but not so much that i would say you need to build anything except the Brotherhood building and maybe the smithy. Feels bare boned and not really thought through.

    Combat. - they sell diverse combat but it really is combat that a toddler could do. The animations are so telling, the build-up to an attack so obvious that there really is only a chellenge if you are surrounded. And even that is not much of a problem when you can dodge really. They stripped everything that made the combat of Odyssey/Origins and the other more combat focussed games they did in the series great and are now selling it in a worse state than ever back to us. The "skilltree" is even worse. This huge tree is only suggesting depth. Practically no Min-Maxing possible without getting useless junk in the build you want to play. Same with loot. The things that i LOVED about Odyssey was that it was leaning in further in the RPG direction than Origins and it was fantastic. In Valhalla they are in a limbo state between "we want to be a RPG but dont try very hard to be one" and "lets **** mess around with this until nothing good is left". I understand why people disliked Odyssey but i think it did alright. It found the means to connect Assassin's Creed to the RPG Genre and it was fun to play. Part of which is because of the skill tree and diverse loot you could find in the world. Which is completely lacking here.

    Like i teased already. The loot and item acquisition. Yeah... uh... practically all the items you can find are scattered around in the world in chests. There is a finite number of them. Not like an RPG where you can loot everything, not like an action game where you find basically no items at all. Like i said. I think they couldn't decide in which direction to go and made a mess of it on the way.

    If they make an Assassin's Creed game they should either:
    a) incorporate Assassin's Creed GAMEPLAY (stealth, information gathering, assassinations, espionage, templars, etc) or
    b) stay on route with the RPG they already made. Where the main characters ARE (technically or not) part of the order and where players can CHOOSE hwo they want to play. But please give people AT LEAST the chance to play stealthy if they want.
    AND FFS GIVE ME MY HOODS BACK AND LET ME HAVE IT IN COMBAT TOO.

    TL:DR
    They tried to make an Assassin's Creed game with a Viking setting and failed miserably. They instead build a game with an identity crises. It doesn't want to be a RPG or full action game. It feels like a Frankenstein version of Odyssey, suggested depth, trying hard to be a good game sprinkled with a quickly assembled story and it is blant and not fun to play. This Game does not want to be an Assassin's Creed game. And, if i am honest with you... It shouldn't be called Assassin's Creed in the first place. People say Odyssey was an abomination... than this piled higher on the **** heap than that (even tho i liked Odyssey).

    Most criminally underrated game of 2020 .
    The Amount of effort put in by Ubisoft has paid off especially with the story and characters. It plays flawlessly on Ps5 60 frames no bugs .. nothing.
    I'm 50 hours in and absolutely lovin it those reviewers saying it's to long are morons .

    The sound, still after months after release's still awful. The combat and stealth are the worse we've had on an AC game. The story is god awful, along with the crappy voice acting. It's unfortunately really bad. I love AC series, loved Odyssey, but this one is just trash.
    Don't buy this game, it's not worth. Ubisoft standards are lowering more and more.

The story is basically you find alliance from different reigon. The combat is fun, but after like 100 hours, it become very fatigue. Overall if you want to kill some time you can play it

    -1 : Technical - Jank and glitches everywhere, motion blur looks bad, enemies will dart around the battlefield at inhuman paces. Ai goes crazy as well, poor ai.

    - В холодной воде ты мерзнешь

    I have never really liked the Assassins Creed series. But Valhalla is another story. It has good combat and story. It has a beautiful world with lots of depth. It is in many ways a lot like Witcher III but with its own identity. And thats a great thing.

    Impressive writing. Average graphics in a bleak world for this budget. Gameplay is not the smoothest by any means and gets very repetative. Much less of a grind than Odessey. The well written sotry tends to loose focus and drag because of the lengeth and scope. The commrodery with your crew feels great and intriguing. AC games have a strange way to pull me in for over 50 hours only toImpressive writing. Average graphics in a bleak world for this budget.     Played every assassin's creed game from the first one up to this one. Never finished Odyssey because it was just poorly made by then I saw this. I've played it for a couple of hours for free on PS plus, well no wonder they gave it away for free. As a huge fan of the series I couldn't even play it for free. The most boring game I've ever saw in my life, assassin's creed used to be one ofPlayed every assassin's creed game from the first one up to this one.     Не знаю что вы все тут нашли, кто ставит 10/10. но это очень скучная сюжетная гриндилка. Графика отличная, но это если не двигаться, все портят эти кривые анимации, которые прослеживаются еще со 2й части с Эцио, неужели нельзя уже заснять нормальные?
    Много багов, и возможно изза этого нелогичных действий, где я тупил и не знал куда идти, и что от меня требуется.     What wonderful gameplay in a gorgeous polished world. I don't understand how they manage to pack so much content into a single game, from other developers this would be like 2 games and 3 paid expansions.

    Being able to fluidly switch from stealth to action at will really fits in this setting, I don't feel like I've "failed" if I stop sneaking and just decide to jump into the fray with    What wonderful gameplay in a gorgeous polished world. Mission variety encourages you to experiment with both, and leaves options for both - I definitely ended an entire boss fight with a single instant stealth-kill because I'd built my skills out for that.

    A broken boring mess, full of glitches. If you have played either Origins or Odyssey, you have already played this. Make yourself a favor and buy something else.

    The game feels pale somehow and the skills system is not fun.

    I've encountered some bugs but nothing that annoyed me.

    I'm not a big fan of the earlier games either.

    I came here directly after Origins (9/10) and the magnificent perfect 10/10 of Odyssey.
    It was my first game for my new PS5 and I had JUST finished watching Vikings.
    The perfect setup. Right from the first minutes...something was off... I mean..everything was, but *something* wasn't there. Then I had some battles where I was punching a guy and he was sent like 5 meters away, then    I came here directly after Origins (9/10) and the magnificent perfect 10/10 of Odyssey.
    It was my first game for my new PS5 and I had JUST finished watching Vikings.

    Then I had some battles where I was punching a guy and he was sent like 5 meters away, then killing everyone with unexpected ways and with this and that, 5 hrs later I just ditched it and went really cold with the game.
    Before you think I'm a "surface scratching" gamer, I have 268Hrs for an Odyssey Platinum.

    Audio on PS5 version has been recorded with equipment from 80’s. That is so poor quality no matter do you have good hometheather or premium headset. Also, game is half assed on every category. Voice acting is in english, but actors try to fake norwegian accent. Makes me want to puke

    There are two competing experiences here: that as as Assassin, and that as a Viking, that either on its own feels like it might have been a triumph and better than this good but not great Assass-king hybrid we have.

    Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla effortlessly plants its banner as the best open world RPG available for the new consoles. This Viking epic flexes its gore-soaked, tattooed muscles when it comes to world-building, and medieval England wows with its enchanting untamed vistas. It’s also portioned out at a steady pace and, if not for the repetitive, limited combat, Valhalla could have ranked even higher among our favourite games in the series.

    Is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla the best entry in the series yet? Some would be tempted to say so. While the map size might overwhelm some players, it remains an easy game to mainline with the right navigation mode turned on. In fact, the quick load times help to make this an even easier task than in previous generations. This is an iteration of Assassin’s Creed that has a bit of everything from the previous games, as refined as we have seen to date.
