    I swear to god, this is one of the worst games I have played in a while. The main story is a boring mess with forgettable characters and repetitive sequences, all you do is go to a different part of the map and recruit allies by doing the same thing over and over. The side content is non-existent, literally all you do in this pathetic excuse of a video game is ride your horse for milesI swear to god, this is one of the worst games I have played in a while. The side content is non-existent, literally all you do in this pathetic excuse of a video game is ride your horse for miles upon miles to press a triangle to pick up a wealth or do some stupid and uninspiring world event like talking to someone for 10 seconds and then leaving, most of these activities are also broken or glitched. The worst thing is that you need to grind these events to level up before you can go to a higher level area unless you want to get one-shot by the enemies. Talking about glitches, this game has a plethora of bugs and issues that really affected my experience, from minor visual issues to more severe and game breaking bugs. I admit some of them were very funny to experience like flying enemies or me randomly leaving the earth’s orbit but mostly they were annoying as hell. I played as a male Eivor but for some unknown to me reason everyone referred to me as a she and wanted to bang me, not sure if that’s a glitch or the developers couldn’t be bothered to record a few more lines depending on your gender. The world is pretty empty though gorgeous at times. Enemy AI is pretty much broken and I might even say non-existent, too many times I was fighting with a group of enemies and most of them just stand around doing nothing especially archers that seem to glitch all the time. Raiding is boring as hell as all you do is just find a bunch of chests and press the damn triangle to open them, that’s it, that’s the raid done. I liked the Vikings and all the stuff about Norse mythology and the modern day story-line but everything in this game is either bad or mediocre at best. I honestly don’t know why people are praising this empty buggy game. I’m not looking forward to future Ubisoft games if they will release them in this state. I’d give it a 4/10 but seeing how many fanboys are giving this game a 10/10, I’m giving it a fat 0. I understand that you might enjoy this game but it’s objectively boring and repetitive, and definitely not deserving a 10/10 but I guess the vikings made everyone wet their pants. Pathetic… Expand

    What Ubisoft is making with this franchise is shameful, they are destroying the whole series. If you enjoy historical periods, like a nice and immersive narrative, like precise gameplay, is a huge fan of a great story, and love the AC franchise, don't buy this game, you will find only frustration and disappointment, Valhalla has one of worst endings of all time in the games industry. ItWhat Ubisoft is making with this franchise is shameful, they are destroying the whole series. The graphics are pretty yeah, but the levelling system completely lacks substance, the world is bland despite its beauty, and the lack of meaningful side content is abysmal. A lot of cool concepts are introduced, however hardly any are followed up on. Along with this the game is a technical mess plagued by bugs and progression blocking glitches. The combat lacks any impact, even when playing on a higher difficulty. Eivor is somewhat compelling as a protagonist but in the end they feel very bland and lacking in personality. This point is particularly notable as you spend an incredibly bloated 100 hours with them. Within 100 hours, eivor has less personality than Bayek did in the first section of his game. The bird is pretty cool though I guess. I’m a pretty big AC fan usually, as I really love the historical setting (despite its inaccuracies), but this was well and truly a let down. I hope Ubisoft learn from their mistakes and improve upon the new AC formula. Also the micro-transactions are outrageous, selling reskins of gear that was in odyssey and origins, the price of these reskins? Around $15. If you have fun with this game, that’s great, but as a huge rpg fan I cannot recommend this bloated mess of a game. 4/10, I regret purchasing the game and wish I didn’t complete it.… Expand

    I really dont u nderstand this score. This game is 3 steps back against Odysse. There is too much bugs and glitches one per hour. When you fighting you fell like this game has no physic. Heavy enemy flying like paper. There are any foot steps in the dirt. NPC are totaly stupid. See videos about it. If you compare this scrap agains other Owords, then you have to see that this is like badI really dont u nderstand this score. This game is 3 steps back against Odysse.     - При осадах, нападениях, товарищи рядом, создают массовку, но не наносят внятного урона, это убивает реализм;
    - Магазин, опять этот %$#@& магазин, который дает тебе сэкомить время на сборах ресурсах - идите нахрен с такой игрой, где full прайс дает тебе возможность играть в AAA по правилам FTP.

    Резюмирую: я больше в жизни не возьму игр от Ubisoft. Для меня это мертвая студия с огромной прибылью, серия Assasin встала в один ряд в моих глазах с FIFA, Call of Duty.    … Expand

    Utterly disappointing. Even after buying it on sale. It's hard to name a good thing really. Graphics are somewhat below average. Odyssey felt better looking to me. I had so many glitches in the first hour I was furious. The story is not engaging. Characters are overall boring. Building your village is a cute feature. But not implemented in an interesting way.

We don’t want a bad Witcher 3 clone every year set in another part of the world...there are literally 2 Assassin’s in this “Assassin’s Creed” game, that’s 2 more than there were in Odyssey but even that aspect of the game is just pointless because all they do is act like a deposit box for a collectible. Don't waste your money! The gear that you unlock throughout the game looks okay but wait until you see what they have for sale in their store page, store gear looks miles better when compared to what you unlock by just playing the game. They clearly put more effort into the store gear than they do on unlockables. The level of greediness, to sell a game for $60-$70 and still manipulate people into buying stuff from your store by putting the best looking gear in there. They built up the AC series just to milk the player-base but hey we saw what happened to the recent COD and BF 2042 games. At this rate, Assassins Creeds fall is inevitable and I can't wait to be there when the sales drop and players decide that they had enough of your bs schemes. This is no longer a fun game, it's a platform to sell micro transactions and expansions.… Expand

    Why I cannot use weapons riding horses? Why some enemies refill their life bar without a reason? Why is the storyline so boring? Why should I fall into water if I'm climbing a mountain? Why???
    Because this game is broken and boring.
    I love the saga, and this is an enormous step back!

    Worst Ac game completely turned me off the franchise... Bright red enemies made stealth unbearable and combat was stiff and repetitive... awful experience.

    For 3 installments. I think AC had nothing to add except making the make more massive and repetitive.
    I failed to see what's new in this game. The story isn't interesting anymore. It just became more massive. And with being massive. I started to get bored after sometime skipping conversations and just want to get through the game.

    As much as I enhoyrd it firstly I hated it to the end, the problem not only, that this game is toooooooooo long, to compleate last region, you need to be much more higher level, than you will be at that momebt and you will die more you could imagine. And there I’ve hoped ubisoft will do it right this time...

    Once again another low point for the series, I hate the departure from the assassins story and gameplay looked like the witcher rather than assassins creed. I just wish for ubisoft to actually put the effort for once and make a good authentic assassins creed game.

    Boring is the first word that comes to mind, there’s no reason a game should be this long and be this boring! Repetitive as hell, and the characters other than the ACTUAL assassins are forgettable. Overall wouldn’t recommend unless you enjoy doing the same thing over and over again with a boring story thats only good at the end.

    The most boring AC game i have ever played (played every one last of them). Eivor has 0 charm, Basiim is interesting but only appears in literally 5 missions. Combat system is worst than Odyssey, the animations are trash and the "parkour" is like C-3P0 climbing a wall. Worst AC high diff

    I haven’t played an Assassin’s game since Black Flag and I have to say I was amazed with how great this game is. It’s a living breathing open world and I could easily lose myself in it for weeks on end. Beautifully detailed and fully realised locations are technically astounding and a great showcase for the PS5. I haven’t set sail outside Norway yet because there is so much to enjoy in theI haven’t played an Assassin’s game since Black Flag and I have to say I was amazed with how great this game is. It’s a living breathing open world and I could easily lose myself in it for weeks on end. Beautifully detailed and fully realised locations are technically astounding and a great showcase for the PS5. I haven’t set sail outside Norway yet because there is so much to enjoy in the local area I don’t want to leave yet. I was surprised this hasn’t got an average in the 90s, but it sounds like it’s been unfairly judged by the number of previous games in the series and the constant need to see improvement. But I can see it from a fresher perspective and it’s a fantastic. The developers should be very proud of their achievement.… Expand

    The WORST AC of all time and I played everyone since the first one. Shoulda called this the searching for explisive barrels hours on end simulator, because thats what the majority of your time spent with this game will be. I'm 30 hrs in and give up, this is not anything closely resembling fun

    - The gameplay is clunky and buggy, and utterly annoying. The camera work is horrible; the targeting (R3) has an awful cursor almost invisible in the mid of the battle, etc...
    - The story starts a bit strong and interesting, but after 10min or so, it simply tumbled into eternal boredom. I'm not kidding when I say that I almost fell asleep playing this game.    … Expand

    Bleh. Nothing in this game feels good to do, it feels lazy and unfun. I know it's not a very in depth comment, but this game is just a waste of everything that went into it.Leave it to AC to make a viking game boring. Pretty impressive to make something this mediocre at everything. Not to mention this is just too bloated and grindy.

    A game so bloated, so repetitive, so devoid of any genuine inspiration that it relies on an endless drip-feed of upgrades, buffs, cosmetics, etc. to keep the player engaged. A broken lighting system, innumerable bugs, and gross historical inaccuracies top off a thoroughly flawed experience. Do not be fooled by the slick marketing for this game.

    I get bored with the repetition of similar quests that are work-intensive.
    The action is slow and unexhilarating.
    The map is large, and moving around by boat is tedious.

ОЙ ЧУВАК! можете даже не качать эту ветку навыков. она нахуй не нужна. вся суть ассасинов и скрытого убйиства была похоронена под огромной кучей дерьмовый миссий.

This is Viking simulator. And not a good one. Sloppy controls that have you falling everywhere instead of being a stealthy killers. Add to that the lack of a decent story. Forty hours I've wasted on this just toI've tried so hard to like this game but I've come to the conclusion it's just not a good game. Graphics are good and so is there voice acting, but this is not assassins creed. This is Viking simulator. And not a good one. Sloppy controls that have you falling everywhere instead of being a stealthy killers. Add to that the lack of a decent story. Forty hours I've wasted on this just to realise I don't care about the story. Is there a story? I can't even remember what it was I'm supposed to be doing anymore.     The story is so nothing. I didn't feel invested at all and it isn't engaging. It was very generic and written like a bunch of Americans read a couple of grade school books about vikings and watched too many Marvel movies. The phrases they use and the way they talk sound more like they pray to the Marvel Odin than the Norse Odin. You have all these one off interactions with people like you're supposed to know them and have a rapport but why do I the player care? I just met them and they're supposed to matter? This is just bad storytelling.

    Okay graphics, it's a step back. On PS5 you'd expect more but the snow effects are bad and it looks like I'm a rolling pin through a mountain of cake icing, the rigging and character models look outdated, the Odin object indication lacks definition and there are no settings to fix it. I hear things ping but even gold items barely show up on my OLED screen. The bird mechanic is half useless most of the time until you upgrade their functions.

    Gameplay is pretty awful. Parry just doesn't work right. The button layout is bad but customizing it is like a 20 minute task as you can't just remap a button you have to remap every function and they all seem to collide. I've gotten stuck in a few spots, enemies see me in hiding at times, view distance for enemy archers is insane far and their accuracy is ridiculous. Staggering enemies seems broken and a lot of the battles you just dodge a lot. A lot of missions require you head on fight and with how broken fighting is I feel like I'm playing a bad GoW war clone.

    The sailing is so bad. It's unrealistic but also clunky. I like the auto sail mechanics but sailing seems like an afterthought where they just shoved in black flag mechanics on a tiny boat.

    Navigating and interactions are probably the worst part. Climbing is essential to AC and when it's bad it breaks the game. Want to climb a roof? Well scramble around until you see a prompt come up that says you can climb here then do it because if you guess you're always wrong and you just come out of hiding and get spotted. Go into a window? Better make sure you're at the right angle in the right spot or you just stand there. Climb down a cliff? Crouch then hold crouch otherwise you just stand there. Half the time you're better off just jumping and taking the damage.

    Using a horse is also important. Too bad most of the time when you call it the horse rushes right past you and keeps running. You never even get the chance to get on it like the horse is mocking you. If you're not near enough to a road auto nav doesn't work either you just get a message that says "cannot auto navigate".

    Oh and I saved the worst for last. The sound mixing and music. For the most part either the music in this game doesn't exist or it's mixed terribly. At the very beginning of the game you're at a party with a guy playing music yet you hear no music, just people. Why? The audio either sounds muffled or distorted and I have a nice home theater. The worst is the horrid tin high pitched triangle sound that marks the start of world music and lasts far too long while also being way too high frequency. If you have tinnitus it will trigger it. Then any time you open menus you might get the title song and it goes on for a while. You hear that song when you sync, when you do certain things, at certain mission points, way way too much and what should be a beautiful title theme is an annoying everything theme. In other games it was a minor song that lasted as long as the interaction but this is very loud, very abrupt, the loudest thing in the game by far, and it plays for a few minutes after the event stopped.

    It also sounds like a lot of the audio samples were done in a sound booth or bathroom. Real world sounds you expect in most games just aren't there.

    This was obviously a rushed game, it's one of their worst. I didn't even get half way I hated playing it.    … Expand

    This game is a chore. For every quest (story was mediocre at best) there is a 40(sic!) collectibles. for the 120h to complete 20 is for a pretty poor storyline, rest is just running around finding keys for chest, or fire barrels for walls. Definitley worst of the last 3 assassins games.
    Dull, boring and repetetive. Dont hurt yourselves and stay away from this bs

    The ideas behind this game are good verging on great. However, the execution is very lackluster. I encountered gameplay halting bugs that made it near impossible to play the game properly. Things like climbing through an open window, talking to an essential NPC, or trying to loot a crate during a raid are impossible because of glitches I keep encountering.

    The so called "gameplay" - OKAY... now... where to begin. Lets begin with exploration. I LOVE exploration games but climbing a humongous mountain to reach something AND NOT EVEN GET REWARDED other than a **** synchronization point and an overview over some plains you just travelled in is not something i was looking forward to. It feels forced and blant and frankly boring. Again like the characters.

    The raiding mechanic is fine i guess and fits the theme.

    The base-building is also "somewhat important" but not so much that i would say you need to build anything except the Brotherhood building and maybe the smithy. Feels bare boned and not really thought through.

    Combat. - they sell diverse combat but it really is combat that a toddler could do. The animations are so telling, the build-up to an attack so obvious that there really is only a chellenge if you are surrounded. And even that is not much of a problem when you can dodge really. They stripped everything that made the combat of Odyssey/Origins and the other more combat focussed games they did in the series great and are now selling it in a worse state than ever back to us. The "skilltree" is even worse. This huge tree is only suggesting depth. Practically no Min-Maxing possible without getting useless junk in the build you want to play. Same with loot. The things that i LOVED about Odyssey was that it was leaning in further in the RPG direction than Origins and it was fantastic. In Valhalla they are in a limbo state between "we want to be a RPG but dont try very hard to be one" and "lets **** mess around with this until nothing good is left". I understand why people disliked Odyssey but i think it did alright. It found the means to connect Assassin's Creed to the RPG Genre and it was fun to play. Part of which is because of the skill tree and diverse loot you could find in the world. Which is completely lacking here.

    Like i teased already. The loot and item acquisition. Yeah... uh... practically all the items you can find are scattered around in the world in chests. There is a finite number of them. Not like an RPG where you can loot everything, not like an action game where you find basically no items at all. Like i said. I think they couldn't decide in which direction to go and made a mess of it on the way.

    If they make an Assassin's Creed game they should either:
    a) incorporate Assassin's Creed GAMEPLAY (stealth, information gathering, assassinations, espionage, templars, etc) or
    b) stay on route with the RPG they already made. Where the main characters ARE (technically or not) part of the order and where players can CHOOSE hwo they want to play. But please give people AT LEAST the chance to play stealthy if they want.
    AND FFS GIVE ME MY HOODS BACK AND LET ME HAVE IT IN COMBAT TOO.

    TL:DR
    They tried to make an Assassin's Creed game with a Viking setting and failed miserably. They instead build a game with an identity crises. It doesn't want to be a RPG or full action game. It feels like a Frankenstein version of Odyssey, suggested depth, trying hard to be a good game sprinkled with a quickly assembled story and it is blant and not fun to play. This Game does not want to be an Assassin's Creed game. And, if i am honest with you... It shouldn't be called Assassin's Creed in the first place. People say Odyssey was an abomination... than this piled higher on the **** heap than that (even tho i liked Odyssey).

    The sound, still after months after release's still awful. The combat and stealth are the worse we've had on an AC game. The story is god awful, along with the crappy voice acting. It's unfortunately really bad. I love AC series, loved Odyssey, but this one is just trash.
    Don't buy this game, it's not worth. Ubisoft standards are lowering more and more.

    Audio on PS5 version has been recorded with equipment from 80’s. That is so poor quality no matter do you have good hometheather or premium headset. Also, game is half assed on every category. Voice acting is in english, but actors try to fake norwegian accent. Makes me want to puke

    100 hours so far and I enjoyed more than any previous AC game. Now I have a bug that stops me from progressing in the story, which is common to a lot of people according to the forums. The devs are doing absolutely nothing about it. Haven’t been able to play it for a few weeks now. CD PROJEKT UBISOFT

It is hard not to see this game as a money grabbing tool that Ubisoft have created with the Helix store, limiting the amount of content (armour sets, weapons) in the base game then adding all other content behind pay walls is disgusting charging £10 - £15 per armour pack for a 'singleplayer' game, I wrote a post on reddit and made a petition regarding this if you want to know more follow the links below I go little further imln depth regarding the matter. There is almost no option to be stealthy as the “cover” like tall grass, haystacks, and being inside a building doesn’t actually put you out of sight of the enemies. Maybe it’s a good open-world action RPG, but it is the worst Assassin’s Creed to date. So disappointed in this game and where the series isThis game is horrible.     Terrible game,boring, bloated, irrelevant and pointless narrative. It's a game out of the blue. This got nothing to do with Assassin's Creed. Hack and slash and more hack and slash.

    It plays more like a beta than a AAA game. Take a look at Ubisoft forums for the many game breaking bugs. I wanted to love this game but it's unplayable from graphic tears, audio drops, and storyline cut scenes not being triggered.. terrible

The game is a rip off of ac: origins and odyssey but with better graphics.If anyone cant see that they are blind and low IQ intelligent beings. For example: They took Kassandra character from odyssey and put her on valhalla under the name of Sigurd'sAaaaaaaa. The racism at its finest. At least origins goes way to odyssey to explain the origin of assassins creed blade and bloodline of characters, plus have some historical references (im not positive there either but its something). Valhalla doesnt explain anything or cover something from previous ac stories. Just the "Hidden Ones" pass by to take some talismans and give you the blade and the quest to kill and gather these talismans (not continue with spoilers). Another thing is that idiotic big maps. Same mistake on Odyssey same on Valhalla. The only good thing here are the graphics. The title is big hit only because of the first 3 ac games and because of that the people love the series even if it fails. After that the series starting to take the downfall. From 1 to 10, i give VO and Graphics a 10, Music/Sound an 8 (encounter a glitch) and Open World/Story a BIG ZER0. Why zero? Because they must stop those big maps and if people read some history vikings they will read that vikings never have/had that rage thing today people always mention. Go read Battle of Stamford Bridge to see how they lose from Anglo-Saxons twice that day. Because one strong man hold them in a tiny bridge they think every viking have that rage. In every country and history in the world there is a man with proud and strong will and body. Maybe they must include a DLC in the future, how vikings raid europe and try to conquer Balkans and LOSE to Balkan countries epicly. They take the england story and turn it into viking immigrant story. There is a Scandinavian strong history and culture, and they could create something beautiful and nice from there.     The game is just terrible, its by far the worst in the AC franchise and I don't know how you could fall so far from Origins and Odyssey to this absolutely trash game where the script more or less feels like its been ripped straight out of various movies and tv shows.
    If it wasn't for the whole Viking theme it would've got a zero

    My first Ubisoft Game after and a long time and the last one for probably ever. Still the usual half finished & bug infested Ubisoft "quality". After 16h in ALL save files stopped working, fast travel stopped working too. It was not possible to crate a new save file. Just bad!

    A game is so repetitive, so devoid of any genuine ideas. A broken lighting system, innumerable bugs, and gross historical inaccuracies top off a thoroughly flawed experience. Do not be fooled by the slick marketing for this game.

    Quest breaking bug on main A Wise Friend. Known issue where Valkra, get stuck when carrying crates. No fix or work around. It is a main part of the story and is broken.

    Full of meaningless content. Extremely Grindy. Unnecessarily expansive. Pointless decision making. Awful story arcs and side missions. Despite some good mechanics, this is the most boring game and story in the series. Avoid. I have played every main game since AC2, this falls short of previous titles by some margin.

    There's fun to be had in this game, but ultimately it contains a game-breaking bug many hours in that can't be skipped and hasn't been patched 4 months after release. The bug is cross-platform, and thousands of users are affected. Therefore I can't recommend this game on any level.

    The game is full of bugs, one in particular is very serious and does not allow you to proceed in the game. Basically it's like throwing money and 90 hours of gameplay.
    I will never buy again an ubisoft game!

    There are two competing experiences here: that as as Assassin, and that as a Viking, that either on its own feels like it might have been a triumph and better than this good but not great Assass-king hybrid we have.

    Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla effortlessly plants its banner as the best open world RPG available for the new consoles. This Viking epic flexes its gore-soaked, tattooed muscles when it comes to world-building, and medieval England wows with its enchanting untamed vistas. It’s also portioned out at a steady pace and, if not for the repetitive, limited combat, Valhalla could have ranked even higher among our favourite games in the series.

    Is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla the best entry in the series yet? Some would be tempted to say so. While the map size might overwhelm some players, it remains an easy game to mainline with the right navigation mode turned on. In fact, the quick load times help to make this an even easier task than in previous generations. This is an iteration of Assassin’s Creed that has a bit of everything from the previous games, as refined as we have seen to date.
