    8 Days to go for Cyberpunk 2077, so hyped! But until then i can play this epic, been having so much fun with Valhalla, would recommend if you like big open world games.

    I never really cared for Odyssey, yeah it was fun in 2018, but overall story sucked and it missed so many AC elements. Valhalla fixes it all. Only thing i would complain about Valhalla is that i run out of arrows all the time. Why can't i craft arrows? Come on Ubisoft.

    Of course it has some bugs, it's insanely big open world game, but most bugs were fixed in 1.0.4 patch, now from here on it's just quality fixes and additional content.

    Ghost of Tsushima shouldn't be even compared to AC Valhalla. Yes they share similar elements, but overall they are completely different games. AC Valhalla world is way bigger, deeper and it's part of long series. Ghost of Thusima is completely different thing. There you wont climb mountains and assassinate people with hidden blade. It's pretty obvious that losers who give Valhalla lowGhost of Tsushima shouldn't be even compared to AC Valhalla. Yes they share similar elements, but overall they are completely different games.     That's why sites like "Steam" are so much better, because there you actually need to show that you own the game. Over 50% negative reviews here are fake or double fake accounts. I did some investigation and it's so obvious.     This is the best AC for me. Again Ubisoft create very detailed environments. The map is very good to explore. I love anything from European Medieval and this is right up my street. Story is decent and alot of things to do. I get bored quiet alot with games as I getting older but this has held my interest.

    This was my first Assasins Creed game. Some pros and cons:

    PRO - large amount of content - some good variety of quests - good mix of weapon styles and skills - quite pretty - good interpretation of England CONS - large amount of content (100 hours and 2/3 of way through main story with lots skipped) - quests get repetitive because of game size -weapoons get repetitive because of game    This was my first Assasins Creed game. Some pros and cons:

    PRO
    - large amount of content

    CONS
    - large amount of content (100 hours and 2/3 of way through main story with lots skipped)

    So i played Valhalla for 67 hours and im still not finished with the story. But I think I am able to say a lot about the game and how good it is. Im gonna start with the good Parts and continue with the bad ones.

    GOOD PARTS: Loot: I really disliked the loot system in Origins and Odyssey. It was just to much of everything. But now you have just a few items but you can upgrade them a lot    So i played Valhalla for 67 hours and im still not finished with the story.     GOOD PARTS:
    Loot: I really disliked the loot system in Origins and Odyssey. It was just to much of everything. But now you have just a few items but you can upgrade them a lot which will save a lot of time switching armor everytime you find something new.

    Story: I REALLY like the story. Almost every character is interesting and have a lot of personality. The story is kinda simple but still entertaining.

    Graphics and sounds: The world looks amazing on my midrange PC (ryzen 3600, RTX 2060) and the sounddesign is just wonderful.

    Sidequests: I like that most of them are short.

    BAD PARTS:
    Fighting: I mean its cool that you can rip somebodys head of but it becomes boring and just steals time after the 10th time. And it happens a lot in a fight. More annoying then the finisher is the timing for dodging. Don't get me wrong sometimes you know exactly when to dodge or block but othertimes they show you the indicator and only attack you after 5 seconds.

    Stealth: It's sadly really bad. The thing that made AC so wunderful and special is almost gone. It's unnecessary and just time consuming. You get nothing out of it. No boosts, no money. And sometimes Avoir ist just doing weird things and jumps out of the bush when you want to get him in the bush. I think the only implement it to call the game a AC game.

    Climbing: Awful. If you want to climb up a mountain it's ok but if you want to do some parkour it's terrible. He just drops down or jumps to the other side of the wall and I have to admit it made me very angry a lot of times.

    Bugs: Just a lot of different bugs. Can't say so much because it's just really bad programmed.

    CONCLUSION:

    I love the idea of the game and I love the writing. But the gameplay lost it track a long time ago. And it's just so badly programmed. I mean you should think of somebody like Ubisoft a bit more. It's not just a random Indie studio it's **** Ubisoft, a bilion company.    … Expand

    - 1 : Story starts off bad, but gets alot better 15 hr in, characters are a bit bland and you don't really get their motives, cartoon-ish lines and it feels like they don't give you much views into the real history and culture of the vikings. It's like a AC game skinned as vikings. a bit cartoon-ish then epic tale.
    -1 : Character Story Dissonance, Your suppose to be a good guy, Light side, but go around killing poor people and burning their villages. Very unlikable and bland characters.
    -1 : Technical - Jank and glitches everywhere, motion blur looks bad, enemies will dart around the battlefield at inhuman paces. Ai goes crazy as well, poor ai.

    So far my favorite AC location was Paris from Unity, but Norway-England might be my new favorite. So well created. Good job Ubisoft, i mean it.

    This game is extremely outdated for a game released on the PS5 in 2020. It still has those same garbage lighting effects that every Ubisoft game has. The physics are beyond horrible. The running animations are cringeworthy. The animations in general are so bad, it is embarrassing that there are games on the PS4 that have way better animations than this so-called PS5 game. The world just has a bunch of plants, trees, rocks, and dirt, which is all poorly detailed. That is so boring to explore. Is there any multiplayer to make up for the boring and empty open world? Oh that's right, there is no multiplayer. So once you beat the story, there is not a reason to play this game again. Charging $60 for a game with no replay value is a cashgrab.     I'm so happy that this game turned out to be as awesome as it is. One of the best games of 2020 without a question. Reading these hate comments makes it very clear that none of these losers who gave it 0/10 or 1/10 have never played it. Can't wait for Far Cry 6, because Ubisoft is back!

    I like the story. But there are too many bugs. I died several times without any reasons when I try to climb the house or hill surrounded by trees. And I cannot continue the quest "In a Strange Land" and "A Rivalry for the Ages" because there is no dialogs about the quest for Randvi and I cannot collect the key on the table. And I cannot solve this by reloading the map or the game. And I amI like the story. But there are too many bugs. I died several times without any reasons when I try to climb the house or hill surrounded by trees. And I cannot continue the quest "In a Strange Land" and "A Rivalry for the Ages" because there is no dialogs about the quest for Randvi and I cannot collect the key on the table. And I cannot solve this by reloading the map or the game. And I am tired of looking for keys of chests (Usually, killing the guards to get the key). Some world events are interesting.… Expand

    Good job Ubisoft, hopefully there will be some patches more, but it's already very good! Hopefully Far Cry 6 continues this trend of good Ubisoft games.

    Game's graphics on PS5 are just incredible. The different open worlds available are beautiful and well worked. The combats feel much more realistic even if it has the same base than Origins and Odyssey. The violent killing animations are terrific and really go along with the viking's thematic.     It's fix some stuff from Odyssey, but still it drags too long. I think they should focus on those interesting characters and cancel the boring ones. The story is basically you find alliance from different reigon. The combat is fun, but after like 100 hours, it become very fatigue. Overall if you want to kill some time you can play it

    Very nice, specially Norway because i like this all snowy/ice area. But England has also really interesting locations. Hopefully Ireland brings something new again and i have no idea what to expect from Paris? I have no idea what Paris looked like in 800s so yea.

    Amazing game! But Ubisoft come on, you need to bring it to steam. It's so important and you would get so much sales from there as well. I understand that you want to promote your own store and that's completely normal, Rockstar is doing exactly same thing, but they also put their games into steam. Why not both? And AC Valhalla sold a lot anyway from Ubisoft Launcher, so it wouldn't hurt inAmazing game! But Ubisoft come on, you need to bring it to steam. It's so important and you would get so much sales from there as well.     I have always liked Assassin's Creed soundtracks, they hit the nail basically every time, but this one.....this one might be my favorite. Specially main theme, but there's also so many good themes that play while you just free roam. Very well made soundtrack. Been playing around 25 hours i think and story is well written, but what really impressed me was graphics.

    The game is a another great installment in one of my favorite franchises. The story is great and I love alternate choice driven games so it was alot of fun. The gameplay is great and the game runs amazing on ps5, it's pretty much locked at 60 fps on performance mode.

    Might be my favorite map of any Ubisoft game ever. Sure, i like Paris in Unity and Black Flag has generally interesting map, but Valhalla is just new level. Very beautiful game.

    Good comeback Ubisoft! This game has way more depth than i expect, hopefully that's how Ubisoft main titles will be from now on. At least AC and Far Cry.

    PC version is easily best version of this game, but it's really nice what they did with ps5/xbox series x/s. Very beautiful graphics and fun story, i'm sure most AC fans will like it.

My favorite AC of all time is AC: Origins, and not only I was happy with the changes they have made with the game, but the story of AC Origins and Protagonist Bayek is also the one that won me over. Unfortunately, I can't say the same with AC Valhalla. My experience with AC Valhalla was filled with more cons thanI was so excited for this game especially me being a fan of the Viking era. My favorite AC of all time is AC: Origins, and not only I was happy with the changes they have made with the game, but the story of AC Origins and Protagonist Bayek is also the one that won me over. Unfortunately, I can't say the same with AC Valhalla. My experience with AC Valhalla was filled with more cons than pros. The story for example was blandly filled with repetitive quests with a clunky combat system. It took me about 50 hours to finish the story and it just felt unsatisfying at the end. I am biased I guess. I love scripted engaging storytelling and the RPG element like dialogue and decision choices of the previous AC and now AC Valhalla isn't a real AC experience for me. The last straw for me is apparent under the development of this game. The facial animation felt outdated, all AC protagonist movements are the same (i.e., running) and I can't tell what type of emotion the characters of this game are trying to portray. This is not a spoiler since it was shown in the trailer, but the character Randvi looks just like Kassandra from AC Odyssey. I love the changes to AC Origins and it is my favorite AC of all time, but not to the extent of what AC Valhalla and Odyssey. Now it just feels like they are just slapping the name Assassins Creed to a game with a few AC elements.… Expand

    Music is fantastic, sets the mood for each zone nicelely, I found myself turning it up and the combat down a bit to enjoy it, usually i wouldn't bother.

    Voice acting grows on you, i've only played as male at first i wasn't impressed but now i can't imagine it being anything else.

    Story is great, while the areas you go to are sort of linear due to gear level requirements it still feels like you have lots of choice, I'm absolutely blown away at how much content there really is, With a side story in Asgard the size of DLC, seriously, for the price, this game is insanely dense.

    Bought this as a filler game and might end up being my GOTY, (if CP2077 gets delayed) haha.    … Expand

    Runs so much better on ps5 than ps4, but that's like obvious expectation. it's playable on ps4pro tho. Specially good on ps5 after latest patch (1.0.4) because now you can choose between performance and quality mode.

    I finished Black Flag, Unity, Syndicate and Origins while preparing for this and it's so enjoyable so far. Story hooked me from the beginning and i love sailing in Norway, super relaxing. Combat is very brutal this time.

    Never cared for Odyssey, Valhalla is so much better. No grind as far as i can tell and game is actually interesting this time. You get 2 skill points for basically every mission you complete. Power level goes up fast enough. If someone think this is boring, i'm sure you will your "FUN" out of games like last of us part II.

    Positives so far: Graphics, Story, Likable Characters, Open-world, Variety of Enemies, Secrets, Classic Assassin elements are back.
    Negatives/Could be better: Needs some improvements, but overall very solid, specially after patch 1.0.4 that fixed lots of issues for me.

Either way Unity has best parkour of the series and graphics that still impress me today. Odyssey was kind of mistake imo, because story was meh and it grindy. Lord forgive me because I’m stupid, I spent good money in a horrific game while children in Africa are starving. I don’t know how the developers of this game can sleep at night...that’s the only surprise of this game but of course I can imagine how, on a golden cushion paid with my money.

    WTF is this ??? Actually playable at launch / generally good Assassin's Creed games in 2020? Well it's true, i didn't believe it either. Solid job Ubisoft.

    There are two competing experiences here: that as as Assassin, and that as a Viking, that either on its own feels like it might have been a triumph and better than this good but not great Assass-king hybrid we have.

    Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla effortlessly plants its banner as the best open world RPG available for the new consoles. This Viking epic flexes its gore-soaked, tattooed muscles when it comes to world-building, and medieval England wows with its enchanting untamed vistas. It’s also portioned out at a steady pace and, if not for the repetitive, limited combat, Valhalla could have ranked even higher among our favourite games in the series.

    Is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla the best entry in the series yet? Some would be tempted to say so. While the map size might overwhelm some players, it remains an easy game to mainline with the right navigation mode turned on. In fact, the quick load times help to make this an even easier task than in previous generations. This is an iteration of Assassin’s Creed that has a bit of everything from the previous games, as refined as we have seen to date.
