A big, fabulous game with great writing and an engaging storyline. And probably the first AC game with a great ending, and not just danbrownian "duh! aliens!" plot twist.

I think it would be just as good with fewer meaningless side-quests, but then again, no one forced me to do all of them, and there were some gems in those side-stories so it's a small complaint.

The lack of traditional side quests leaves the game filled with boring "world events" that have no plot to them whatsoever. The change to the loot and upgrade system makes it way too easy to max out your weapons early on and removes any reason to loot anything throughout the game. I was a huge fan of AC Origins and AC Odyssey and this game was a huge let down. Expand

The voice acting is outstanding, some of the best I've seen in a game. The 60fps and fast load times on PS5 make a huge difference. The main story can drag a bit towards the end, and there is still the occasional bug. Ubisoft does an admirable job of trying to make the modern day "assasins vs templars" storyline relevant, but as with the two previous installments this one might have been better served just standing on its own as a historical epic. Overall, a great, must-play game. Expand

I think this new AC was a huge step backwards for the franchise. That being said the game was playable and I enjoyed it for the better parts of the game. This is a very disappointing entry in the series, full of clunks and poor storytelling.

I’m a huge fan of the Assassins series, and apart from a few truly bad games (e.g. AC3 and Unity), I love most of them, despite some flaws. While not terrible, Valhalla is a huge letdown after Odyssey. The controls are extremely clunky, and climbing/jumping around is a huge pain now. It’s also very

It’s also very buggy, I’ve found myself getting stuck many times. Characters often don’t look at each other when they’re speaking, audio cuts in and out, and the facial expressions/body language can be flat out embarrassing. This game doesn’t look or feel like it belongs in 2020 or on the PS5, but unfortunately that can be par for the course for Ubisoft sometimes.

The storytelling is also a huge letdown. Most of the main quest arcs are separated into standalone stories, none of which are particularly compelling, but instead are predictable and redundant. This format also fails to allow you to develop any particular attachment to the characters. As such, you don’t really care what they’re saying or what happens to them. It’s also the third consecutive game with almost no connection to the Assassin’s brotherhood, something that was forgivable with the previous titles, but now just completely lacking. Also it’s supposed to be set around the late 800s, so ostensibly the brotherhood should be getting pretty established by this point. That entire part of the lore made these games unique and exciting, instead this now just feels like a fairly week and rushed game about vikings. Finally, it seems as though stealth is on the way out too.

I could say a lot more, but simply put, this is a generic and uninspired game.

I half finished the main plot. It worth playing for sure!
Some of the quest lines are a bit boring, but you'll get compensated with the next line in the next region. Grind is not that annoying, however, - without it I would rate the game 9-10. For now it's still Ubisoft's approach.....making money of a poor folks who pay for the stuff they should have

Cyberpunk is nothing new or nothing special anyway. It's literally mixture of Skyrim and GTA V, absolute wannabe with worse world details than GTA 4 from 2008.
I'm extremely disappointed in Cyberpunk 2077 PS4 (PC as well) performance and bugs and very soon millions of other people will be as well. Cyberpunk fanboys always whined about other games when they had any bugs at launch and acted like "Cyberpunk 2077 will be this "Absolute Next-Gen miracle". It's time for reality check i guess. All it proves is that sheep will follow basically anything that gets popularity and likes.

Overall impressions? Extremely good, i really, really, really like this game. Now, because it's huge open world game, yeah it has still some bugs, to me most of the stuff was fixed with 1.0.4 patch, but i heard that endgame content needs so serious work/patches. Красивый открытый мир, огромные карты для исследования и очень хороший бой делают эту игру одной из лучших в серии.

A game so bloated, so repetitive, so devoid of any genuine inspiration that it relies on an endless drip-feed of upgrades, buffs, cosmetics, etc. to keep the player engaged. A broken lighting system, innumerable bugs, and gross historical inaccuracies top off a thoroughly flawed experience. Do not be fooled by the slick marketing for this game.

The game is 70% fun i like the graphic , the mechanics ,combat and the town progresion
But there are cuple - :
    - Enemies are unbalanced like spear guy
    - enemy menceneries are also unbalanced , when you have 250 power he can still easyly beat you
    - a lot! of bugs

Decent AC. Too many bugs though, also sometimes looks like a next gen game and then you look at the fire, explosions and some textures and think "my God this looks lime a ps3 game". Also very repetitive, feels a lot like working and not having a good time. Story is meh.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is a good game. Definitely better than Odyssey, and perhaps better than Origins. It's true the game-play is buggy and can feel repetitive. But I ask what game does not? You feel yourself start to get better at combat as the game goes along. Is it perfect? No. Is every second an exciting adventure? No. But you can see that there was a lot of effort and love put in to the game as they tried to take the franchise in a more depth-filled direction. With a few years to perfect the engine and really flesh-out what style of game they want to create, Assassin's Creed could soon be a foundational cornerstone of AAA titles. That's the only frustrating part about playing the game -- you feel like your just scratching the surface in terms of story-telling, combat, parkour, and level design. But no one can deny that this title is an absolute work of art. Expand

    A must play game!

The graphics are stunning-at times, I found myself taking in the sights and using the photo tool to capture the open world. There are ALOT of hours to be spent here-in completing the main story, side quests, and raids, I spent over 60+ hours. There is still plenty more to do in finding treasures, interacting with NPCs, and developing new skills, weapons, and equipment.

Although, the world is immersive, it does come with plenty of bugs that can derail the experience at times. These bugs ranged from sound issues to not allowing the story to progress, requiring going back to the title screen and reloading the game. Ubisoft has provided updates since the initial release, so hopefully these issues will be resolved.

Power level 100 right now and i can't stop playing, it's way too addictive. Haven't felt like that in very long time, seriously. Ubisoft is complete mystery to me, they can make absolute trash in 2019 and then one of their best games ever in 2020. Hopefully Far Cry 6 will be good as well, looking forward to that.

Norway and England look both incredible. Contrast between them makes both of them special in their own way. I love architecture in England, old bridges, towers, etc. Graphically stunning. Power level goes up really fast, if you actually loot chests and stuff. No grind or bs like that. Well done Ubisoft.

From modern ones easy top 4 - Black Flag, Valhalla, Unity, Origins. Good stuff. But i would like to mention Syndicate because it's so underrated, it's not best, but it's still fun enough and has some really nice graphics at times.

AC Valhalla is very likely new addition to these games that i never stop playing. It has so much content, most of it is interesting, it's fun, combat is sick, i can tell they really worked on this one. Good job Ubisoft and thank you for not disappointing.

It's weird paradox that Assassin's Creed has millions of fans all over the world, but for some reason they never really come to metacritic. Maybe it's because AC fans are more mature and don't give a f_ck about some random scores on some random pages, that would make sense actually.
And it sold over 1.8 million anyway, so basically who cares about metacritic user score at this point.

One of the best of 2020 and i'm saying it dead seriously. No game has so much content from this year (so far of course), resident evil 3 and avengers are absolute jokes compared to this. Making 5 hours long game that's sold for 60 should stop. AC Valhalla is easy 150 hours cool content with beautiful graphics.

Great game, keep going Ubisoft! More stuff like this in Far Cry 6 please and not whatever Far Cry 5 was. Make it more serious, make it mean something, go deeper with stuff. You have done it in past with Far Cry 3, AC Black Flag and AC Unity. You can do it again.

There are two competing experiences here: that as as Assassin, and that as a Viking, that either on its own feels like it might have been a triumph and better than this good but not great Assass-king hybrid we have.

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla effortlessly plants its banner as the best open world RPG available for the new consoles. This Viking epic flexes its gore-soaked, tattooed muscles when it comes to world-building, and medieval England wows with its enchanting untamed vistas. It’s also portioned out at a steady pace and, if not for the repetitive, limited combat, Valhalla could have ranked even higher among our favourite games in the series.

Is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla the best entry in the series yet? Some would be tempted to say so. While the map size might overwhelm some players, it remains an easy game to mainline with the right navigation mode turned on. In fact, the quick load times help to make this an even easier task than in previous generations. This is an iteration of Assassin’s Creed that has a bit of everything from the previous games, as refined as we have seen to date.
