Generally disappointing in comparison to Origins and Odessey.

The main draw of this sequel should have been river raiding, but the content is poorly fleshed out, offers to few good rewards, and isn't repeatable as a part of the main story. Stealth is pretty much dead in this iteration. I brute-forces pretty much every encounter because the mechanics for good stealth simply aren't in

The main story is okay but ends on an Assasin's Creed 3 level of bad/poorly written ending.

Overall, the game simply is just not as fun as it predecessors and is a step backwards for the series.

Interesting game. Cities feel full of life and danger. Large landscapes give you feeling of absolute freedom. Combat is more brutal than ever. Some missions are fun, some are boring, but it's like that with every game ever. Overall impressions are very positive, can't wait for DLC's.

Until Resident Evil Village comes out, it's literally only 2020 game that is still worth playing. Doom Eternal got old very fast and i'm not gonna play Tony Hawk 1+2 Remake 24/7. Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the biggest fails of all time. Resident Evil 3 Remake was too short and boring. Last of Us 2 is one of the worst games ever made. Watch Dogs Legion is pathetic. Final Fantasy VII Remake has no reason to play again, even tho good game. Ghost of Tsushima has one of the worst camera angles in any video game ever, so i just can't play it, but it doesn't seem very interesting anyway. Marvel's Avengers is a joke. Mafia 1 Remake had good story, but has one of the emptiest open-worlds ever, there's absolutely nothing to do or explore.

So what's left? Literally only one game - Assassin's Creed Valhalla! It's not best game ever / not best AC game, but at least it's fun enough and DLC's almost look more interesting than main game, so i'm hyped. There's obviously always option to play older games (i do that literally all the time), but this review is for people who want something new.

No idea how this gets rated so high. For example, Valhalla is NO WHERE near the quality of Ghost of Tsushima. Janky animations. Poor and super outdated combat. And my god the writing can be so awful.

Think this has to be my last AC game. Ubisoft just makes cookie cutter games now in this series with nothing exceptional while asking the player to commit so much time, it's just not worth it.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla feels like the climax of all the shortcomings Ubisoft games have seen over the years. I seriously wonder if Ubisoft is years behind in the feedback they get on their games.

Positive points such as the beautiful graphics on the PS5 or the art design unfortunately do not go up against my negative experiences.

A world that even feels bigger than it’s predecessors bloated with lots of filler content (despite the attempt to replace icons for colored dots), an enviroment (of England) that feels bland except for a number of cities, akward cutscenes because the characters are looking like dolls and pause way too long between sentences, a story that just doesn't seem to get going before the 30 hour mark and a ridiculous skill tree that is so detailed that you don’t feel your progression in game. As much as I wanted to meet with my excitement, this game is too far removed from the Assassin's Creed experience that I enjoy which resulted in a game that felt like one big chore.

    Pros:
    - Graphics
    - Art Design
    - Atmosphere of the cities

    Cons:
    - Bugs
    - Worst audio in a game I have ever experienced
    - Again a map that is too large bloated with filler content
    - Characters in cutscenes
    - Main character(s)
    - Story and length of the game(story)
    - Bland environments of England
    - Compared to the previous parts, the function of the raven has become totally meaningless.
    - Huge and way too detailed skill tree
    - Short gameplay loop

As a longtime fan of Assasins' Creed and the RPG genre, I have really enjoyed these latest releases in the series. Valhalla once again gets it right with vast gameplay, incredible graphics and a good story, even if it doesn't have the shine of AC 2, for example. Curious to see what you expect from this incredible series in the new generation of consoles!

There's fun to be had in this game, but ultimately it contains a game-breaking bug many hours in that can't be skipped and hasn't been patched 4 months after release. The bug is cross-platform, and thousands of users are affected. Therefore I can't recommend this game on any level.

I really love Assassins Creed. I mean realllllly love it. I want to state that first so that this isn't construed as somebody just peeved at Ubisoft or the series as a whole. That is why this hurts me to say it. But this game just isn't fun.One of the first offputting things is when the only thing I heard about the game was that it was ludicrously long. Now usually thats a sometimes good/sometimes bad thing. Previous to starting this game I started and completely platinumed Ghost of Tsushima (a fair length game). One of my all time favorite RPGs is FF XIII so I am not averse to longer games. However, this was just absurdly long. And while it seems weird to complain about length, it just wasn't interesting in those hours. The combat seems fairly similar to the past two entries, the story is very dry and bland, and the characters as a whole aren't very interesting.

It doesn't help that I felt like Eivor (Main Character) was a bystander in this game. I felt like everything was happening around him/her but not that he was really doing anything all that interesting.

On top of all this, the amount of random crap you would have to pick up or do to 100% this game is just stupid and tedious. There are things like a section in Jotunheim that I literally looked at a guide and it was still going to take forever to just get things to work/appear.

I ended up, 54 hours in, quitting the game. I had made it to the last few quests and just didnt have the power level to complete the game. I could have turned the difficulty down but it was just a grind by this point and I was not going to go and grind to get more levels.

Overall it is a 5/10 for me. It is a gorgeous game, but the story, length, quests, and overall feel just arent good.

Was really looking forward to this one after Odyssey but sadly it is nowhere near as fun and ends up just being a chore. The combat is very repetitive, the side missions (mysteries) are mind numbingly dull and even the story fails to entertain. Building up your settlement was a great idea but is sadly undercooked. The A.I. is extremely dumb and a downgrade from the previous title.

Graphics are beautiful in PS5 with rarely hiccups here and there. Gameplay is decent although after a certain level of Power, the challenge decreases significantly, you basically become overpowered at about 350 Power. You can always opt to increase difficulty and it does not impact your achievements, which is nice.

One of the rare games I went full on and collected all trophies and this may give you an idea on how it hooks you up. I spent a total of 120 hrs in game and it easily deserved 9/10 in my scale.

DLC's aside however next step in AC is very critical for the whole franchise. Origins kind of rebooted the gameplay and overall experience and I feel like with Valhalla a "trilogy" was completed. Now it is time to again have significant change in the series, otherwise it may turn into a large, repetitive and at some point, lacking innovation of a series.

Music is sometimes good but most of the time is just ambient, boring and lacking energy. Characters are either over the top or just badly written (except maybe for Basim and Sigurd and very few other exceptions). Dialogue is very mediocre. Combat is bad at first, then it gets better only to then get worse. Ubisoft makes an extremely violent game where you can kill your enemies in a 1000 brutal ways but everything else such as historical realities and the fact that Vike-boys were brutal slavetraders, rapists, pillagers and murderers gets sugar coated with Raven Clan being the good guys and other compromises because Ubisoft has no balls to even GRAZE the area of controversy. I mean really lol. Raven Clan is basicaly a hippie commune where people live in harmony with the nature, where people of all ethnicities, religions and cultures are welcome, almost everyone is bisexual (XD) and people get high with shrooms to enter other dimensions (XDD). It is subjective but IMO games that aren't even about vikings get the whole "vikingness" better like Witcher 3 with Skellige or even Skyrim. The open world at first looks beautiful and exciting but ends up being really empty and devoid of character. It's almost tragic how shallow it is. You go up the cathedral and gaze upon the foggy hills of England and marvel at it's vastness and beauty. Then you jump down and realise that there isn't anyhting interesting. No funny or immersive NPC dialogue to overhear, no random events taking place where you can interfere and get in trouble, almost zero historical or geographical lore about incredible places you visit. Music is also virtualy always the same for every location. For example: In Oxenforda (figure out which city it is) the only thing that ads any characteristic stuff to the place is some funny letter about how Oxenforda will never be famous for anything but it's fish (very funny). Then there are side quests. Again it's subjective but IMO side quests are bad because almost every single one of them revolves around some freak having a ridiculous problem. They are memorable and original - true but, again IMO, are another nail to the coffin of the vibe of the game as they are so over the top you can't take vast majority of them seriously. And now worst of all- sound quality. All of the in-game audio sounds like total SH*TE. As if you put a layer of cloth between your ear and the headphone which makes it so much harder to immerse yourself in the world you are in.

I'm being harsh because the game tries to be what the Witcher 3 and RDR2 was and it fails miserably with it's bad to average design decisions. I won't deny- some of the aspects of the game are good. Combat can be epic at times but it gets repetitive and audio-design diminishes it by a lot, side activities can be fun but they feel like an afterthought, story is interesting but... SEE THAT? "BUTS" EVERYWHERE. There is not a single thing besides Orlog in this game that isn't spoiled in some way by a bad design decisions and the fact that Ubisoft team lacks any talent. And I didn't even mention the bugs that ruin it further (I could seriously talk for hours abut how lacking ACV is). It's not even a bad game with a good one hidden inside like Cyberpunk it's far worse than that: it's an average game trying to be a great game while being a very bad game inside. I would've given it 6/10 but the Audio quality+infuriating bugs+MICROTRANSACTIONS IN A GOD DAMN SINGLEPLAYER GAME FOR 60€ make it a 4/10 AT MOST. I'd rather play Skyrim for a 1000th time than Assasin's Creed Valhalla for the first time.

If they really go back to AC1-AC3 style then i'm done with this series and as of right now that seems to be the case. I'm almost certain that these awful leaks are true and they really do that. It' sad, but nothing lasts forever i guess. All i have to say that, thank you Ubisoft for these amazing games and this series once meant to me A LOT. Expand

Only reason i even started caring about AC series was AC 4. Making AC 4 is literally best decision Ubisoft has ever done. I'm so, so, so glad that this Desmond **** went finally away. Reason most people play these games i going back in time, not some modern day nonsense. I wish these games never had modern day, but it is what it is, thankfully AC games got so much better starting with AC 4. AC 3 was just horrible. Ubisoft, you should only listen to your real fans, not this minority who doesn't even care about anything you have done since 2013. They are almost as annoying as people who whine under every resident evil 4 remake video, that they want code veronica remake more. Resident evil 4 is million times better game, more important game and more popular game. These who whine about code veronica are also just small group of people who don't even care about resident evil 4 at all. It's literally same with thing with AC games. I swear Ubisoft, if you go back to this AC1-AC3 nonsense, i will stop buying your games, i will stop promoting your games to my friends and i will never play any of your games ever again. There's absolutely no question that i'm bigger AC fan that he could ever dream to be. Calling Valhalla garbage is biggest joke in years. Valhalla is easily better than both Origins and specially Odyssey. Valhalla is first AC game in long time where it has been really interesting to finally explore the open world. You mentioned how interesting pyramids were in Origins, well of course. But here the thing, they were one of the few interesting things about Origins. Most of it was boring empty desert. I don't hate Origins, but it wasn't as interesting as Valhalla. Valhalla has way better story, better character and better open world. You said that England doesn't have landmarks or places to explore. Kidding me? London? Stonehenge? Huge castles? Mountains in Norway? There's so much to explore. Valhalla is easily one of the better designed maps Ubisoft has ever done, just behind Black Flag. There you go. You said that you laugh at people who think Origins is meh, well i laugh at you saying that Valhalla is garbage. There's clearly, very clearly more people who like Valhalla than Origins. Valhalla was biggest PC launch for Ubisoft EVER. It had over 2 million players in launch month alone. Jor Raptor gets 100 000s views on almost every Valhalla video he makes. People very clearly like this game and many have said that they absolutely love Valhalla map designs. Showing your "poll" as some evidence is BS, because most people answered that they haven't even played this game, but you said that people agree with you. Hell no. Thankfully you don't get that many views, so i don't really care that much, but this one video made me write this, because it was just too much nonsense. If you can have your BS opinion, then i have every right to have my opinion about your video and point out false things. I have been Assassin's Creed supporter and fan over 10 years and i very likely like games that you don't even like, because you seem like somebody who hops on hype trains. You know very well that people who whine about new games are just nostalgia nerds who hate every game after AC 3. I have always liked Unity and even Syndicate and i strongly doubt you like them. I have very few pleasant words for Assassin's Creed Valhalla. I simply disliked the game.

I have very few pleasant words for Assassin's Creed Valhalla. I simply disliked the game.
There are many reasons why I think this game is mediocre, but I'll start with what I liked about it.

    First, the story.
Eivor's tale was what kept me going through the game. If it wasn't for this story filled with good characters, well-written dialogues, action-packed moments, twists and turns, I would've abandoned this game. The ending is pretty lackluster and the credits doesn't even roll, but the journey told here was incredible.
One other thing that impressed me was the combat. At first, I found it very stiff and basic, but as the game progresses it gets better, more visceral and entertaining. Also, the boss battles make up for some really fun fights.
Other than those two key points that made me stay withstand this game for 80 hours, I also want to give praise to the STUNNING graphics, the very unique and quite original sidequests that made me laugh or got me invested and the soundtrack, which isn't anything special, but did a good job nonetheless.

As for Valhalla's missteps, well... It's everything else!
What bothered me the most in this game was the sheer amount of bugs. Game-breaking bugs, quest-hindering bugs, immersion-shattering bug... you name it. I had to restart the game several times due to some gruesome experiences. It was not good.
The fact that the game is bloated as hell also does not help at all. The maps are beautiful, sure (especially Asgard), but it's unnecessarily big, filled with unrewarding treasure hunting and some annoying mini-games like stacking up rocks on top of each other. Most of the puzzles revolved around getting inside a house locked by a hidden key or blocked from the inside and that got old VERY QUICK! Also, the "Find and Speak" quests made little sense to me. If everything else points me in a direction in this game, why would you waste my time with petty chasing??
There were many other reasons why I had a hard time having fun here, like the aforementioned tasteless ending to a fantastic story, the movement being EXTREMELY unyielding, tiresome level grinding, repetitive environments, useless abilities and etc.

Valhalla isn't bad, it's just overly unexceptional. Few and far between were my moments of fun.
I do not recommend this game at all. Maybe if you're a fan of the series, since the story and its combat are the only two things that matters here.

As a big fan of assassins creed, I’m really disappointed in Valhalla. To the point when I’m not even sure I want to finish it. The story is boring, the characters are boring, no ISU vaults... You had so much potential with norse mythology... I’m actually angry at myself for buying it. That’s just my opinion, of course.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is an OK rpg about vikings it is not an assassins creed game in fact the last game as well was not about assassins creed ubisoft has rewritten their lore behind their games and I don't like it

In valhalla as havi we are to believe that they are isu(and that eivor is a sage another reincarnation) (they have many different sages now) they did this in the past with minerva and juno well that was OK but they killed off juno in the comics and we never hear so much as a word about that in the games because ubisoft doesn't want to continue that saga do they
This isn't an assassins creed game and they shouldn't keep pretending I would pay double for another game like what we got from ezio and altiar the story is terrible it was OK for the first 15 hours or so and then it went stale I was 93 hours in when I realised that this game would not get any better it was a broken mess filled with bugs plot holes and ivar being a tool there were some moments when the game shone like its older versions and I felt the story could go somewhere but they were short lived and forgotten by the ever growing ass faced characters of dag and siggurd being the literal worst and me wanting to uninstall the game and make room for cyberpunk which nomatter how broken had a brilliant story and interesting characters

The places in the game were many and similar and I found myself unable to differentiate any of the towns and villages the side quests were mostly the same and largely the same save someone or collect something or fall for an obvious trap or lie because heaven forbid eivor the reincarnation of the god of wisdom is interesting

In the end I googled the endings was disappointed by all outcomes and u installed the game Maybe its my fault for holding the previous games in such high regard but in ubisofts attempt of diversifying their creation they lost sight of the aspects we loved about the franchise each game was building towards something even after Desmond death syndicate gave us insight towards what juno was doing and what assassins in the present were up to and the memories in the past all lead up to the Poe that abstergo was still locating the assassins were an organisation not one man with a hidden blade who can either sneak or fight you could have your initiates rain arrows or cause a distraction while you would slip by and kill your target in the old games some missions required stealth at least unti a certain point and I liked that the protagonist's had a perpous and a personal reason to fight
Some people may have liked this game some people may have loved this game I almost loved this game in the early hours and I am glad I didn't because after that time frame the game became a repetitive pile of manure with the only loveable thing being a dog and a happy reminder of assassins creed 3 that lasted less than an hour

Being able to fluidly switch from stealth to action at will really fits in this setting, I don't feel like I've "failed" if I stop sneaking and just decide to jump into the fray with axes and go Viking for a bit. Mission variety encourages you to experiment with both, and leaves options for both - I definitely ended an entire boss fight with a single instant stealth-kill because I'd built my skills out for that.

Great game, if you want to go be a Viking this is by far the best choice out there.

Assassins Creed is my favrotie series of all time, so im harder on this series than I am with any other game.. and while Valhalla is a great game and my score will reflect that, as an assassins creed game, assassins creed Valhalla isa complete disappointment.
Here you play as avore, becauseubisoft cares more about its precious sales you chose either man version or female version because ubisoft is afraid to commit and want to make everyone happy.. you set off on a Viking adventure to basically take over England during the dark ages.. and sadly this is more of a Viking game with assassins creed mechanics rather than an assassins creed game where you play as a Viking, the lore of the Templars and the assassins is there.. infct the whole uncovering the order side thing odyssey had going on is valhallas main focus, and I love that… however the game built around it is the most hallow money grab of a game in probably the entire assassins creed series… they sold you on Vikings, rob and pillage, this is fun about 0 times, its never fun going into an area for a raid, opening chests and collecting all of the loot, its repetive and bland, and that can be said for the entire game… im one to uncover every inch of an assassins creed game, read very document, platinum it.. but assassins creed Valhalla is so hollow that I found myself skipping through a lot of its dialog as the story is broken up into individual kingdoms you go out and help… this is less of an assassins creed game, you know.. a game where you relive memories of someone that was supposed to have actually existed to learn more about the orer and the places of the pieces of edden, and just a boring Viking game where you go from kingdom to kingdom taking care of that kingdoms individual problems, it’s a 70 hour long game of individual mini stories that by themselves could be okay experiences, but in an assassins creed game they feel like a waste of time not adding anything to the overall world of assassins creed, no one will remember Valhalla as a step forward for the series, infact in a lot fof places Valhalla steps back, for example its loot, there is next to none, yet you still collect it from time to time, its such an awkward system that you forget there are other weapons and armorus you can pick up.. youll mpost likely stick to the first or second piece of gear you find in the game and stick to that all the way through, especially thanks to the grind heavy upgrading system here that require a ridiculous amount of recourses to upgrade weapons… where Valhalla steps forward though is you making choices that actually matter, your choices have consequences, you have different paths with different characters you can go down that don’t feel empty like odyssey did.. but back to the intial point, this is great if assassins creed were an rpg seres set in different time periods… but its not, its meant to be an experience of a story already told, not an unwritten story of your grandpa and you get to chose if he banged other Vikings or not… tell me if avor was gay or not, don’t let me chose, again.. commit to a character, tell me their story… this is not a solution to the story telling critques players have.. this is assassins creed, not dragon age.. tell me the story as it happened… but this is thebiggest assins creed game to date, though bigger isn’t always better, another first, this s the first time I gave up on collecting all the things in an assassins creed game, for one,, again the world felt boring pointless and hallow, even the side quests that were supposed to be the talk of the town, except for the mini game orlog, it had its hooks in me like gwent, and I love hunting down the zealots of the land, bringing my back to the original assassins creed.. but the colelctables here, the game just makes you work too hard to get, one too many are locked behind story progress – why even put it on the map then… and evry other one ios locked behing an environment puzzle.. I don’t mind this eveyr once in a while , but map cleaning in assassins creed is a form of meditation, if I have to figure out how to get to literally every chest in the world, it isn’t meditation anymore, it’s a puzzle game outside of the story, no thanks. Also traversal here is probably the worst in the series too, its wakward, plenty pof annoying deaths at the hands of climbing, The biggest disappointment overall is this games story, the worst ending in history if you can even call it an ending and the outside of the animus world features the least likably protagonist of all time, smoking doesn’t make you look like a badass, it makes you look inconsiderate of the people around you, but again, assassins creed Valhalla is a great game, the combat is fun, you can go down different paths to play the way you prefer, brute, ranged, stealth, or a mix of all 3…

As much as I enhoyrd it firstly I hated it to the end, the problem not only, that this game is toooooooooo long, to compleate last region, you need to be much more higher level, than you will be at that momebt and you will die more you could imagine. And there I’ve hoped ubisoft will do it right this time...

    PROs:

    CONs:
    - The game tries to copy the Witcher III type of sandbox, leaving you to decide what to do next or where to go, but it fails in doing that because it's not fluid or engaging.
    - Is this really an Assassin's Creed game? or is it just a brute's story of raiding villages with his crew?
    - The gameplay is clunky and buggy, and utterly annoying. The camera work is horrible; the targeting (R3) has an awful cursor almost invisible in the mid of the battle, etc...
    - The story starts a bit strong and interesting, but after 10min or so, it simply tumbled into eternal boredom. I'm not kidding when I say that I almost fell asleep playing this game.

I absolutely LOVED exploring the maps, finding rare items and super cool, smaller quests. The main story is interesting and kept me engaged to the end. The graphics are beautiful and the game runs smoothly on 60fps on the PS5. Eivor is a fantastic character and so is the cast of characters around her/him.

Not once I got bored with Valhalla. Odyssey was bloated and boring and endless but I never had this feeling from this one. Hope Ubisoft stays on this track.

I have only 2 complaints, though: 1) the game can be buggy sometimes and this has an impact on quests and sidequests (fishing is broken TO THIS DAY, January 05th 2021) which means you cannot finish the fishing quests, as 2 fishes cannot be found. And 2) I did miss a "proper closure", a sense of finishing the game, seeing the credits roll. The game simply "ends" and you start the exploration. I know Ubisoft does not want us to feel the game has ended since this is business and they want to keep expanding it. But the game - and the team behind it - deserves an ending and recognition.

All that being said, Assassins Creed Valhalla is amazing and deserves to bem played.

Most criminally underrated game of 2020 .
The Amount of effort put in by Ubisoft has paid off especially with the story and characters. It plays flawlessly on Ps5 60 frames no bugs .. nothing.
I'm 50 hours in and absolutely lovin it those reviewers saying it's to long are morons .

This game is horrible. It is so broken and the combat feels sluggish and unbalanced. There is almost no option to be stealthy as the “cover” like tall grass, haystacks, and being inside a building doesn’t actually put you out of sight of the enemies. I haven’t set sail outside Norway yet because there is so much to enjoy in the local area I don’t want to leave yet. I was surprised this hasn’t got an average in the 90s, but it sounds like it’s been unfairly judged by the number of previous games in the series and the constant need to see improvement. But I can see it from a fresher perspective and it’s a fantastic. The developers should be very proud of their achievement. Expand

Valhalla is a great game in the same level of Ghost of Tsushima. An interesting story in the times of viking invasions of England. The game changes for better the mechanics of Odyssey and Origins. The combat is looking at The level of Odyssey, and The freedom is bigger than in other titles of the saga. The game comes back to sandbox. Welcome again!!!!

I liked the side content like building the village or the board game orlog. The story I thought was great and had a nice ending: The Eivor and Sigurd saga, traveling to Asgard and Jotunheim was fun, some of the province arcs were great and unique from the others (for the most part). Its biggest downfall is by far is its length, it took me 70 hrs to finish this game. Most people that play an rpg game for that long are simply there to 100% the game, not still trying to finish the main story line. I enjoyed the game at the start and for the first 40 hrs or so, but there seemed to simply be no end in sight at that point and everything started feeling tiring and monotonous. Besides that main problem, this game was teetering on the border of being too glitchy for my liking. Some very annoying bugs appeared here and there, sometimes had to completely reload. For the most part it worked alright, but was a bit of a nuisance at critical moments. The real world story still makes no sense to me (ever since Desmond died in AC III) and feels completely needless on top of the historical saga. The combat I found to be alright, nothing too different than Odyssey or Origins, not the biggest fan of this dark souls combat system either, was too finicky and annoying at times like would often catch on fire or miss the timing of the parries. Overall, this game was a mixed bag for me, it had good elements but was just too freeken long. Expand

Absolutely pointless side quests that cause nothing but facepalm, and seem to be 10-year-olds

Unfortunately - a stupid plot, interesting only at the beginning and becoming more boring further

Tons of grind and constant artificial stretching of gameplay, even in story missions

I tried to score on all the side missions and go strictly according to the plot, but at some point I just could not stand the meaninglessness of the actions that move the plot progress

The whole game resembles stupid and meaningless crap, in the process I constantly caught myself thinking - "why am I now doing what I am doing, and why should I not give a **** about these characters"

There are two competing experiences here: that as as Assassin, and that as a Viking, that either on its own feels like it might have been a triumph and better than this good but not great Assass-king hybrid we have.

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla effortlessly plants its banner as the best open world RPG available for the new consoles. This Viking epic flexes its gore-soaked, tattooed muscles when it comes to world-building, and medieval England wows with its enchanting untamed vistas. It’s also portioned out at a steady pace and, if not for the repetitive, limited combat, Valhalla could have ranked even higher among our favourite games in the series.

Is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla the best entry in the series yet? Some would be tempted to say so. While the map size might overwhelm some players, it remains an easy game to mainline with the right navigation mode turned on. In fact, the quick load times help to make this an even easier task than in previous generations. This is an iteration of Assassin’s Creed that has a bit of everything from the previous games, as refined as we have seen to date.
