    The gameplay felt a little dated, there were some glitches, however, the story destroyed the characters from the first game. The intelligence of Joel dropped, he made mistakes that he would never had made.
    Poor game, will annoy a lot of dedicated fans. Plus points ... it looked good, the voice acting was good.
    Please please please do not make a sequel !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. loved the first game but the second just falls short ellie kills hundreds of people to only realise the shouldn't kill abby because its bad,and how is abby as big as a bodybuilder in the post apocalyptic world, howd she make her transition where is she getting the steady stream of male hormones, who is making new needle and syringes so she can inject all of it, this sjw stuff only works in the modern day world so slly abby looking like the rock walking around when just 4 years earlier she was a skinny twig,just shows out of touch these game developers and then you have all these reviewers out of san Francisco like ign and etc giving it a 10 they don't reflect gamers views anymore such a sad state of affairs… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have a lot of mixed feelings about this game. I’ve been looking forward to it for years, much like a lot of other ND fans. I believe that Neil Druckmann was looking to avert expectations and take risks. I don’t think that those risks paid off, because at the center of it- this story is a bleak journey with poor motivations and no real message or heart. The love and theme of parenting in the first game is what made it good- this game doesn’t have anything meaningful to say. It can’t decide on a single message, and that is the worst problem of them all. Many people have argued whether they love or hate playing as Abby. I personally liked it, and I thought that Lev and Yara were great characters that I desperately wish I could have seen more of. The seraphites are so interesting, and both them and the WLF make a lot of sense. Their different ways of living were obviously thought out with extreme care. It’s just a shame that the characters were not treated as well as the environments, tech, gameplay, and sound- which are all fantastic. There are some big pacing issues, with both gameplay and story. Many sequences could have been cut out, and huge, HUGE parts of the story could have been replaced or re-arranged. The timing and location of Joel’s death made it so that flashbacks were dispersed throughout the story in a way that felt disconnected and strange. Despite great performances, it was hard to get really invested or emotional in Joel and Ellie, except for a few key moments. It shouldn’t be hard to invest in them, but the story structure and the heartlessness was fighting.

    The messages of saving the person you love at any cost could have been pushed further. If Joel and Ellie went on a trip to avenge Tommy’s death, that could have allowed these two characters to work out their conflict with what Joel did to save Ellie all those years ago. Joel would have been in-character to tunnel-vision in on revenge, while Ellie would be the one to realize that it was pointless, and it wouldn’t make either of them happier. Perhaps if something then happened to Joel, the story could revolve around Ellie’s guilt and sadness in a more meaningful way. There is much, much more that I can talk about here, but I’ll just cut short and say that there would be many ways to tie in the different factions, Abby, lev and Yara into this game. Countless ways to make them more interesting and relevant to Ellie’s journey. The gameplay adds a lot of new elements to it, that I feel really enhance things. There are some hits and some misses, but boy- the hits are REALLY spectacular. The new enemy types and boss fights (especially the one main one) are more amazing than I could have even imagined. There are many good things to say about the beauty and amazing details of this world. Overall, this game is a bloated, disconnected, meaningless mess. But it sure does look beautiful, and it plays extremely well. I can’t hell but feel like the confidence that Neil Duckmann has had regarding this game must mean that he is an ego-driven writer who needed someone like Bruce Straley to level him out. He’s been a personal hero of mine for years, but he’s lost my faith in him. He told fans to trust naughty dog, but I’ve lost that trust in his writing. I’m not sure how Halley Gross contributed exactly, but she surely didn’t do enough to save the story. I’m extremely sad and disappointed that this wasn’t the masterpiece that I was hoping it would be.    … Expand

    Just try to endure this to get what I mean. Sit through subplots you don't care about, character motivations you don't understand, gameplay that annoys you because of its repetition for way more than it has to last.

    This franchise, unlike Uncharted, was supposed to be about real life with real relationships in a very hard situation. I saw this in the first one, but here I see plot stupidity and LOTS OF IN-YOUR-NOSE LGBT AGENDA.     I feel like I was betrayed and stabbed in the back. I cringed in the start, I am half way through the game and still cringing. Each step feels like the knife is being twisted and dugs deep in my heart. The environmental looks good but the pain does not stop. I feel nauseous.

    This game was review bombed because of the leaks, but in a matter of fact it is a good game, took story risks but i liked them and i can understand why others don't, gameplay pretty smooth and develops as the game continues

Un desperdicio de juego.. se cagaron en el fan a las 2 horas de empezar el juego...y encima te hacen usar 10 horas a un personaje plano que jamás llegas a empatizar por lo que te genera....     I played all of this game over the weekend. The zombie battle evolved and the graphics improved. If you've enjoyed LOU gameplay, I recommend buying it, but if you've come across a lyrical and thought-provoking story, never buy it.

    The Last of Us is one of my favorite games because of its narrative. 7 years waiting for a sequel and naughty dog just betrayed everyone who wanted to follow an honest outcome for joel and ellie

I felt like i was being tortured and was forced to play through half of the game with a character i absolutely despised . To see ellie decide not to avenge joel and let his murderer go after everything they have been through and after witnessing him being brually beaten to death and spit on was a really infuriating slap in the face and made the journey she had been on seem pointless, especially since she had killed mostly everyone except the actual person responsible for joel's death. the gameplay was ok but it doesnt really make up for how bad the plot and most of the characters are. This game is a dumpster fire and if i had not bought it digitally it LITERALLY would have been dumpster fire right now. im 100% sure the critics who are giving this game 80's and 90's are paid actors… Expand

One of the greatest games, destroyed by this disgusting sequel. How could you think people would like Joel to die in such a humiliating way? How could you think people would like to be forced to play as his killer for 50% of the game? 7 years in the making for a story as inconsistent and unenjoyable as a 3rd grader’a essay.     Os gráficos são bons, mas é uma dos piores roteiros da história dos games. Bastante forçado, criando ações ridículas, para justificar uma matança ridícula, para que na hora da vigança final, tenha um perdão ridículo. A única coisa que salva nesse jogo é a jogabilidade e os gráficos, o resto é lixo.

They completely lost the pulse on what made the first game so great. Visuals are stunning, gameplay is improved from the first one but the story is complete garbage. I don't know who thought it was a good idea to force you to spend half of the game playing as the character who killed Joel. Speaking of, it's seems the writers completely forgot how cautious of a person he was. They tried their best to make me feel sorry for a girl who's dad was going to kill a teenage girl without her consent. Did not work. Couldn't even finish the game, just looked up what happens. After all that you don't even get the satisfaction of killing her. Visuals are the only redeeming aspect of the game.… Expand

    Save your money the story is complete trash, Joel was such an awesome character and for him to be killed like that? I waited seven years for this trash of a game just so he can die. I dont care how great the quality is I mostly care about the plot of the story. And it's just not the way anyone expected with these characters. Naughty Dog did such a terrible job....I'm moving on.

    The terrible story ruins this technological masterpiece being perhaps the best looking game on the PS4. the games mechanics and background can only carry a story driven game so far. The character development is weak and the lack of empathy I felt for Abby is a clear sign of a bad character that the developers attempted to be relatable.

Ending try to teach us a lesson but they did in the most lazy and stupid way, i just can't, this game isn't canon to me. Graphics aren't everything.

    I finished tlou1 and tlou2... how could they kill part 1s main protagonist in the first hour of the game and force abbys gameplay down our throat? It's unforgivable that they did Joel like this. I'm okay with Joel's death but the way he was killed I couldn't understand. Tlou1 Joel was like Rick Grimes of twd never trusting strangers and is the survivalist to the bones. After she bites off Ellies fingers, and bashed the characters we loved from the first one.. why are we not satisfied with the ending? Because you are forced to watch the pig roam free after all the **** she did. And using her to fight Ellie was painful. Tbh I enjoyed having ellie killing her over and over. Bottom line, this game spits on tlou1. It does exist just a dark fantasy of druckman. 1/10… Expand

It was clear from the first trailer that the game was so impressed with itself for taking the loved character from the first game of Ellie and making her gay. This destroys every character or memory from the first game and should be avoided at all costs.

The fourth wall is also constantly torn down when immersion breaks due to sometimes sloppy coding but mostly gaps in story-telling. I liked the graphics, couldn’t expect more rly.     Just finished it after 27 hours. this game left me mentally exhausted and feeling empty inside and not in a good way it tries teaching you revenge is bad but the only thing I learned is if I go kill someone I better finish it so everything I did to find the person doesn't feel so meaningless
