    Let's start with the good things: I actually kinda liked the stealth kinda gameplay and the fights. The graphics were absolutely astonishing, it was visually just stunning. The few Joel & Ellie parts were so sweet & wholesome and it got me very invested. Absolutely loved that.
    SPOILER ALERT:
    But now it begins. I mostly play a game for the good STORY. And this game had a very bad way of storytelling. First it kills off Joel in an absolute disrespectful way with a guy spitting on his dead corpse. Than you go on a revenge quest killing everyone in your way be it a kid, a dog or pregnant ladies. And than you switch to play Abby.... Nobody wanted to play as the killer of Joel. Please do it before the Tiger Woods scene to know her background better. To empathize for her more beforehand. During the end it would have been nice to choose your outcome, but she killed everyone but the target. The reaction to certain situations also didn't really make sense to me. Everything just felt really pointless and left you tired. You do not care anymore.

    Unfortunately all the side characters were really bland with political propaganda forced onto them,.
    And if you like a side character somewhat, they will die an unnecessary death.

    Luckily I didn't spend money on this, but could borrow it from a friend. But I would not recommend spending money on it.

    I can't imagine waiting 8 years for this game and than getting spit on by Neil Druckmann to his own fans. Absolute disappointment.    … Expand

    Después de haberle echado más de 30 horas al juego he podido ver que es un juego sobresaliente. Audiovisualmente es increíble tanto en gráficos (escenarios, iluminacion, animaciones...) como en sonido (banda sonora, sonidos de ambiente, doblaje...) Tiene un diseño de escenarios soberbio, con una cantidad de exploración y de coleccionables muy alta, que además alargan el juego y no se teDespués de haberle echado más de 30 horas al juego he podido ver que es un juego sobresaliente. Audiovisualmente es increíble tanto en gráficos (escenarios, iluminacion, animaciones...) como en sonido (banda sonora, sonidos de ambiente, doblaje...) Tiene un diseño de escenarios soberbio, con una cantidad de exploración y de coleccionables muy alta, que además alargan el juego y no se te hace para nada aburrido explorar y recoger estos. El sistema de combate mejora bastante respecto al tlou 1, ya que aquí se le añade a Ellie y a Abby la habilidad de esquivar, no solo eso, si no que también tenemos un árbol de habilidades mucho más grande y complejo, y un sistema de crafteo excelente, aunque sin cambiar mucho del original. Además de esto cuando combates con varios enemigos (ya sean infectados o no) el juego te obliga a pensar fríamente tu estrategia, ya que la inteligencia artificial de los enemigos hace que no te valga cualquier estrategia, que por cierto, esta, como os podréis imaginar, es increíble. Pero el juego también tiene puntos negativos y para mi estos están en la historia, ya que está no tiene ni de lejos la calidad del tlou 1.(Alerta spoiler) Para empezar porque creo que matar a Joel de esa forma fue una decisión horrible por parte de naughty dog, está bien que maten a un personaje, ya que eso te da incentivos a asesinae al que lo hizo, pero matar a Joel de esa forma tan humillante me dio hasta asco. Como he dicho matar a un personaje está bien, pero tienes que elegir según el personaje, si quieres que este muera como un perro o como un heroe (y para mi Joel debería de haber muerto de esta forma). Yo personalmente creo, que si le tienes mucho cariño al personaje (como es mi caso) te puede arruinar un poco la experiencia. Una de las cosas que más he visto a la gente quejarse es del final, ya que Ellie no mata a Abby pese a haber matado a mucha más gente en el pasado, bien, se que mucha no va a estar de acuerdo conmigo pero yo creo que si tú te tomas el final como que quiere dar un mensaje, este es muy bueno. El juego quiere que tu enpatices con el supuesto villano del juego, y que veas que aquí no hay ni malos ni buenos, por lo tanto teniendo en cuenta eso, que no muera Abby es algo que está bien. Entiendo que si ves el final desde un punto de vista lógico te parezca una basura, pero como he dicho antes, intenta tomártelo como un mensaje, para que veas que la mayoría de villanos tienen motivos para hacer lo que hacen. Mi veredicto final es que este es un juego sobresaliente, al que no le pongo un diez porque flojea en ciertos puntos de la trama, pero si te gusto el tlou 1 deberías de jugar a este sin dudarlo

    I dont understand the hate at all.. I loved the journey and the gameplay was stellar!

    Once again the story telling and emotions felt in a game are second to none by naughty dog. Well done and cant wait to see this game blossom as time goes on

    Para mi tiene dos problemas que lo alejan del 10:
    -abusa de los flashbacks y algunos son un coñazo con cero interes.
    -El tema lesbico esta demasiado presente,como metido con calzador a veces.

    Con TLOU2 he perdido la fe en la humanidad.
    Y no por el juego, que como explico más adelante me ha gustado (y mucho), si no porque no llego a comprender las circunstancias vitales de las personas que lo han bombardeado a negativos. De verdad, no comprendo nada... No entiendo como alguien con un mínimo de sentido común sea capaz de plantarle un CERO a este juego.     Y no por el juego, que como explico más adelante me ha gustado (y mucho), si no porque no llego a comprender las circunstancias vitales de las personas que lo han bombardeado a negativos. Te puede gustar más o menos la historia, la puedes considerar más o menos plana (tranquilos, no voy a entrar en spoilers), te pueden caer mejor o peor los protagonistas.... Pero técnicamente, no se puede decir nada malo del TLOU2.
    Fotografía, anímación, música y ambientación son sobresalientes. TÉCNICAMENTE, lo mejor que ha pasado por PS4 (que gran juego de despedida te llevas compañera)... Hacía muuuucho tiempo que no veía un juego con tanto nivel de detalle en todos los sentidos (maybe equiparable al Red Dead Redemption 2). Y esto son solamente aspectos puramente objetivos...
    En cuanto a lo subjetivo, a mí la historia me pareció bastante completa. Reconozco que el primer cuarto de juego se me hizo un poco lento, pero habiendo terminado el juego, creo que ese punto es necesario para "coger aire" frente a lo que se nos viene encima. La trama está bien llevada, sin artificios y sin "grandes" agujeros de guión. Poco a poco descubres que todo cobra sentido y la magia de este juego es que nada es lo que parece y que no existen buenos o malos... Todos y cada uno de los personajes están llenos de actos malvados, pero a la vez son compasivos. No es así la vida?
    Nada más, simplemente que no os dejéis llevar por el bombreviewing que le ha caído al juego por 4 amargados y que si tenéis la oportunidad de jugarlo, no lo dudéis. Una de las mejores experiencias con mi ps4    … Expand

    Игра прекрасна, начиная музыкальным сопровождением и заканчивая сюжетом. Геймплей идеальный, динамичный, что аж мурашки по коже. Искусственный интеллект стал значительно лучше и теперь ощущается, что ты убиваешь именно живых людей, а не ботов. За сюжет говорить смысла нет, ибо это будут спойлеры, просто скажу, что он не отстает от первой части.     Оптимизация-10 из 10 (ни одного малейшего лага в течении 50 часов найдено не было, и всего лишь один баг был, ОДИН, баг. Респект)

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. hace mucho tiempo escribí una critica no tan solida pero ahora que el juego tiene su tiempo y que pude entender el significado de este juego (hay que decir que cada uno le da su propio significado al juego) voy a dividir esta critica en tres puntos.
    historia, gráficos y personajes.

    empezamos por los gráficos, visualmente el juego es increíble los mejores gráficos que e visto en un ps4 el detalle que tiene este juego es impresionante el entorno esta muy bien echo los lugares de exploración que vimos con ellie son muy buenos y están muy bien echos.

    personajes: cada personaje tiene su historia detrás y entendiendo su historia podemos entender sus acciones, como la razón por la cual abby mato a joel o por la que ellie se queria vengar, el punto es que los personajes están muy bien desarrollados y se nota que cada uno va evolucionando mediante avanza la historia.

    (el punto de la historia es como un resumen)

    historia: la historia tiene un significado muy profundo, en el principio muere joel mucha gente se enojo por el final tan crudo que le dieron a este personaje y no entienden su muerte un personaje que en la primera entrega fue totalmente deshumanizado desconfiaba de todo el mundo y mataba a mucha gente en la segunda entrega nos presentaron a un joel mas humanizado el cual no desconfiaba de todo el mundo pude ser que jackson lo allá humanizado. despues de la muerte de joel ellie junto a dina decidieron ir a seattle en busca de abby en resumen se vengan de algunos miembros involucrados en la muerte de joel, en todo este camino pasan muchas cosas como el embarazo de dina, el rescate de jessie, etc ellie llega al acuario donde se suponía que estaba escondida abby pero no encontró a abby sino que a dos amigos de abby ellie sin pensarlo mata a los dos pero después de su cruel asesinato se da cuenta que una amiga de abby estaba embarazada al notar esto ellie se pone a llorar en eso llega tommy y jessi.
    después vuelven al teatro y llega el "clímax" de el juego donde llega abby a vengarse por la muerte de sus amigos en el proceso muere jessi y hay un corte en ese momento empezamos a ver el punto de vista de abby y el echo de porque mato a joel y el juego nos hace empalizar con abby y con los personajes que la rodean.

    concisión: el juego es visualmente hermoso, los personajes están muy bien desatollados y la historia es una montaña rusa de emociones, Naughty Dog no le tiene miedo al fracaso y quiso innovar y no darle en el gusto a los fans, el director y todo el equipo detras de the las of us 2 no queria hacer la tipica historia de venganza donde el "héroe" siempre gana, ellos querian que vieramos los dos puntos de vista y que pude que a nuestro ojos seamos los heroes pero para otras personas somos los villanos como joel para nosotros es un heroe que salvo a ellie pero en verdad el mato a mucha gente como el padre de abby un simple medico que quería la cura para el cordisep joel en verdad es un villano que actuó por egoísmo gracias a el murieron muchas personas no me malinterpreten joel para mi es uno de los mejores personajes de el mundo de los videojuegos. al final el juego es una venganza mutua la decicion que toma ellie repercute en la vida de abby y el final es como el perdón mutuo abby perdono a ellie y ellie a abby en el mundo de the las of us no hay ni buenos ni malos y el personaje principal no es la persona mas importante de el mundo es una persona cualquiera puede que para nosotros sea especial pero en ese mundo solo es una persona común si muere joel el mundo no va a dejar de girar porque no es el centro de el universo y el juego nos transmite ese mensaje TU NO ERES ESPECIAL.
    en fin el juego es uno de los mejores de el momento y sin duda el mejor de ps4 esa es mi opinión

    It's evident that naughty dog didn't half ass this game as it is an extremely polished technical masterpiece.

    This is one of the greatest games in its generation. Candidate for a PS5 remaster.

My point of view is that games surely can creat some kind of message in a story, but to use that against the players emotions and force them to do stuff just to make an example isn't not the right way. But when I played it again I really took the time to understand and focus on how the story builds. If you love Joel and Ellie from the first game, youre shocked when you play this game because they lose literally everything. All i wanted was a continuation of their relationship based off the ending of the first, but its barely touched upon. Meanwhile the other half of the game is playing as a new character and trying to get you to grow and like this character, but shes boring along with the characters they introduced with her story. Ellie and Joel is "The Last of Us" and i feel that this "Part 2" doesnt stay true to that.… Expand

    Поставил низкую оценку из-за невменяемых фанатов, которые бомбят 0 оценками игры майкрософт. Казалось бы, игра о том что надо выйти из круга ненависти, но слабоумные дети ничего не поняли.

    This game is a disappointment. I think I can speak for everyone by saying that I wanted a game, not a middle school ethics class. The story is okay for the first half of the game, but then the game wants us to view everything from a complete different perspective, and the second half feels more like a 10 hour long side-quest and it all sums up to a truly disappointing ending.

    It’s similar to something like Game of Thrones, where G.R.R wasn’t afraid to set up cool and interesting characters just to kill them off abruptly in the same book. And while it totally sucked, it sucked because I liked the characters, not because I thought the writing was bad. It just reflects the reality of living in a harsh world. People die. People walk into the wrong place at the wrong time and die. People get cocky or let their guard down and die. People you love may have made bad decisions that come back to haunt them... and they die. That’s the world characters in The Last of Us live in.

    And onto the idea that they’re forcing diversity and making this game political... that’s total bs. The diversity that they show in the game probably simply reflects the diversity of the people that make the game. Not only that, but there’s no character that’s like LOOK AT ME! IM THE GAY ONE! Or IM THE BLACK ONE! They’re simply... people. Some of them happen to not be straight, happen to not be white, or identify as a different gender. Just like in real life. If you don’t like that, then maybe you need to travel a little bit and meet some more people.

    Also Abby is a woman and she could probably bench press a car. It’s also a reflection of her character that makes perfect sense in the context of her story. How the F is that political?!

    If you played and liked the first one, you’ll be emotionally invested to play this one. Simple as that.

    Gameplay-wise, everything is improved and expanded in the first one. The levels are physically bigger and give you plenty more choices on how you want to tackle an encounter. Exploration is also very deep with a lot of thought given to the story behind the environments. I can expect to find certain items in bathrooms, others in office spaces, etc. so if I’m running low on tape, I’m on the lookout for an office space, instead of opening every drawer in an abandoned building.

    As far as criticism goes, I do have some. I think the game goes on for a bit too long, and there are at least 3 spots I thought were the ending (and I was happy with it) and then it kept going for several more hours. I think at least one big section could be cut from the Ellie section and another from the Abby section and I’d be very happy with the length. That’s it.

    Also ND owes me an extra pair of pants because that infected boss literally scared the crap out of me.    … Expand

Con eso el juego se fue para abajo de inmediato, no digo de que Joel muera de manera heroica ni nada de ese estilo, la verdad no tengo idea de que podría morir Joel, minimo si quieren matar a Joel por venganza de otra persona mínimo que sea mas adelante, COMO M-Í-N-I-M-O. Entiendo de que este juego se llama "El ultimo de nosotros" este juego nadie es malo ni bueno, nadie es especial en este juego, pero lo encuentro una falta de respeto para la comunidad del juego, matar al protagonista del primer juego en las primeras 2 horas de juego.     Before anyone tries to invalidate me, I am a huge fan of TLOU 1, it has been part of my early adolescence and I'm still obsessed with the story and the characters, *especially* after this Part II.

    A lot of the complaints about this game are about how it ruined Ellie and Joel's relationship, but face it, everything that happened was solid and possible. Ellie is a character that's got nobody, she lost her best friend, she lost the only adult that cared about her before Joel (Marlene), she didn't have parents, and then the only loving figure she had lied to her and took away the real true meaning to her life (still on part 1). If you expected Ellie to become a Disney princess or to still see the world and Joel the way she saw in the first game, you are making a fool of yourself.

    People are also saying that they loved the first game and this part 2 ruined it etc etc, but people I am begging you to reconsider because you're missing the point. This game is about reality, it's about how life changes and people evolve, it shows the brutality and violence we have in ourselves and how this apocalyptic world intensifies it even more. The first game was also intense and cruel, we can't deny that, but this game really shows us the truth about our inner world, about how our love can make us do the most cruel things.

    About Abby. If you played and you didn't connect with her it's ok I get it, nobody has to like every part of everything, but if you couldn't build empathy for her after seeing the humanity in her actions, the love she had for those around her and then seeing her best friends and father dying one by one, did you even play the game? TLOU II really slapped us right in the face and showed us how our actions have countless consequences in other people's lives and their love and need for justice are just as valid as ours. If you just don't care about Abby and her plot, I sincerely think you're just close-minded and (in this case at least) can't see the world beyond your own perspective and notice how other people's lives are just as important as yours.

    About Joel. Joel is a great character, he is a father figure not just for Ellie, but I guess for everyone who connected with him, but he is not perfect and his actions were selfish. I'm not saying I can't understand because if it was up to me I would save Ellie too, but it was selfish and there's no denial. This may not had become the snowball it was if Joel had just told the truth, it's her life she deserves to know, and he didn't tell her until the situation got critic. Joel is great, but he is human, his death was human and his actions were human, there's no point in wanting Joel to die in a glorious way because this would've been fake. Joel created his own fate and died as everyone else in this universe: as a human. I personally love Joel and missed him this whole game, but he needs to be seen the way he is, and that's what this game is all about, Joel is not a hero nor a villain, he is just a person doing what it's best in his point of view, there's no point in glorifying his life or death because he just did what everybody else would do, care about his loved ones.

    What this game did was brave. It destroyed the comfort zone and I'm so grateful that it has set such high parameters for storytelling and character development and it really did deliver an evolved and real story. It didn't have any fan service and I'm so thankful for this. For those who got the game, Naughty Dog really made us look to ourselves and see the real and brutal parts of our emotions, made us think about our relationships and how the best for us can mean hell for another person. I'm never gonna play a game like this in my whole life for sure, but I thank every day for what this game did for the gaming community. As a fan, I expected evolution, well developed characters, an interesting game, good combat, an incredible story, something that could really make this game unforgettable, and I received so much more.

    This money was REALLY well spent.

    Killing of one of the main characters is fine it's been done before. The way it was done almost seemed like it was done to spite fans. Unlike the first game non of the characters stood out. This seemed like a bad Godzilla movie where you go to see the monster fights but end up getting 2 hours of the characters and a half hour of the monsters. What happened to all the infected? Did they just step aside so everyone can get over their it's complicated?

    If you are a fan of the first game, do not buy this. Pretend it doesn’t exist. Why naughty dog chose to go this way I have no idea. There is no pay off. The game ends with no closure. The story is painful. You play as a character you absolutely hate for half of the game. Actually torture.

    I was so hyped for this game and I was ignoring all the bad reviews and all the talk about how this game was terrible.
    Then I played it and just finished it. To be honest it is a masterpiece in its own unique niche way....
    I just don't agree with the storytelling approach they took..

    At the beginning naughty dog makes you angry that Joel died, and I accepted Joel's death.
    And I pushed forward as hard as I could to see it through to get to Abby, to face her, and to ideally take revenge.
    But then you made me play as Abby way too long... maybe there could have been an Abby Ellie back and forth... I just really thought we played as Abby way too long. And honestly, multiple times when Abby died by my mistakes during gameplay, I was like that's good, game over you can stay dead Abby.

    Anyway, the game does end well... But the whole journey was not enjoyable to be honest because all I wanted to do was rush through abby as fast as possible and I really didn't take time to enjoy any of the gameplay with Abby...

    So yea...

    I'll keep the game I won't sell it like everyone else probably will.
    Honestly, I hope the Ellie and Abby story is over
    I don't want to play as Ellie or Abby ever again

    If we get to have a last of part 3 please please give us a different character and or something in the last of world that is completely different.

    L’histoire est nauséabonde, incohérente, ennuyeuse et crache sur l’héritage du premier.
    Les nouveaux personnages sont insipides et on ne reconnait pas les anciens.
    Le pire c’est qu’il faut jouer la moitié du jeu avec Abby, personnage antipathique dont on n’a rien à foutre. Et pour terminer la fin improbable avec sa morale merdique au relent de religion : « la vengeance ce n’est pas bien et ça ne résout rien ».
    C’est le plus grand foutage de gueule du jeux vidéo !
    Ce jeu ne laisse que des mauvais souvenirs, passer votre chemin.

    Vivimos en la era de los ofendiditos, de la gente con piel de terciopelo y de la gente amargada por el mundo como si llevase un palo metido en el culo.
    Grandes personajes, me enamoré de todos los personajes nuevos, especialmente de ABBY Y DINA, sufrí por la muerte de Joel y de la perrita ALICE, Ellie me dejó bastante indiferente, pero todo UN JUEGAZO. Tiene mi 10 y porque no puedo ponerle más.
    La historia es espectacular, yo no vi ningún spoiler y todo me pilló de sorpresa, la muerte de Joel no me la creí hasta que vi su tumba y su casa llena de flores, me hizo llorar, me hizo odiar a Abby y a los Lobos de manera increíble, y por supuesto, después, tragarme mis propias palabras de odio cuando empecé a conocer la historia de Abby y darme cuenta que no son ni malos, ni buenos, son supervivientes, que todos tienen padres, madres, hermanos, amigos incluso aman a sus mascotas, por mucho que estas estén entrenadas para combatir y exponerse a muerte segura y es algo que hicieron aquí a posta al contrario que en su primera entrega, exponerte claramente que todos tienen su historia, no como el primero que anularon eso y ves como claramente el grupo de David son malos, son caníbales y demás cosas que te dan a entender, pero porque esta hecho así a posta, para que tengas claro quién es el bueno y el malo y estés acomodado sin un duelo interno emocional, también te das cuenta de las desigualdades que sufren ambas protagonistas en la segunda entrega y cuando estás con Ellie piensas que bien montado tienen el pueblo con sus viveros sus tiendas, sus bares y provisiones aún siendo escasas y aún teniendo a un homófobo mesero intolerante.     Si claro no es nada progre que en primer juego haya dos lesbianas: Ellie y Riley, también un gai: Bill (el amigo de Joel) que la mitad de los personajes importantes sean personas de color: Marlene, Henry, Sam y Riley, que decidieran crear personajes femeninos independientes, fuertes y con liderazgo: Tess, María, Marlene y esta última como he dicho antes no solo es persona de color si no también líder de los luciérnagas. Que además en aquel entonces fueron (junto con Assassins Creed Syndicate) ser de los primeros juegos en incluir npcs femeninos tanto de soldados random como de infectados en este tipo de juegos.     -Historia: Es sabido que The Last Of Us se caracteriza por una gran historia desde su primera entrega, por eso veo este un punto de gran importancia en la calidad del videojuego. En las horas que llevo jugadas, veo bastante bien llevada la trama y el desarrollo de los personajes. Creo que se manejan los tiempos de una buena manera y logra transmitir lo que busca. Este juego trata de tocarnos las emociones de distintas formas y el manejo de esto se lleva de una manera natural y fluida. Los personajes tienen un buen armado, tal como en la primera parte, y Ellie toma una mayor relevancia de una forma que no se nota forzada.

    -Ambientación: Realmente, veo este punto como algo destacar sin lugar a dudas. Hay un cambio respecto a la primera parte, el cual está muy bien logrado, con mapas más amplios y un mundo adueñado por la naturaleza. Creo que Naughty Dog le dio una gran importancia a esto, con el fin de darle más realismo a la trama, y esto se nota. El entorno va cambiando desde lugares oscuros y sombríos, hasta lugares plagados de árboles y plantas. Nada que reprochar.

    -Graficos: Era sabido que este juego iba tener un motor gráfico de primer nivel. Tanto en juego, como en cinemáticas, los gráficos son impecables, y logran plasmar lo que los personajes quieren hacer o transmitir. Uno de los mejores de la generación en este campo.

    -Banda Sonora: Otro apartado en el que The Last Of Us: Part 2 destaca. La banda sonora, si bien no es algo en el que el jugador tenga el foco de atención, colabora muchísimo a la experiencia de este juego. De una forma sutil, ayuda con la transmisión del mensaje que pretende dar este juego, tanto en escenas de suspenso, como en otras más emocionantes.

    -Mejora de habilidades: La esencia es muy parecida a la del primer juego y creo que es una buena decisión, ya que cumple con el estilo de supervivencia que tiene The Last Of Us. De todas formas, lo que cambiaría, sería el sistema de mejoras con pastillas, ya que no resulta tan realista como lo puede ser la creación de objetos con elementos que se encuentran en el entorno.

    -Jugabilidad: Si bien en su primera entrega la jugabilidad no era precisamente lo más destacado, creo que hubo una mejoría en este juego. Tanto en combate como en exploración, hay múltiples agregados nuevos que agrandan el arco de posibilidades del jugador, siendo importante la toma de decisiones y el uso de estrategias en combate para avanzar en la historia y, que además, concuerdan con el marco realista que se le quiere dar a este juego. El combate es entretenido y requiere un mínimo de habilidad para conseguir progresar. Lo único que reprocharía en este punto, es la duración de algunos combates, ya que llega un momento en el que se puede volver tedioso pelear contra una cantidad tan absurda de enemigos. De todas formas, más que aprobado.

    -Conclusion: El juego está a la altura del primero, incluso mejor, a falta de terminarlo obviamente. Si el primer juego te gustó, este también debería hacerlo. A menos que seas GAYMER.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I played this game right after Part I, both for the first time, and I don't even know how to express myself, how to explain what I felt. It was a jawdroping experience and I never felt so much with a game, movie, series, book or anything. I felt tenderness, felt warm, love, heartbreak, sadness, I felt sick, bitter, angry, anxious, I feared for what the game had to me and even though I was expecting everything, I wasn’t ready for any of it. A terrible experience that made my heart race, almost exploding. Yet, I understood all the sides that I didn’t (out of pure arrogance) want to and still my feelings were torn apart… I was completely contempted with it all after that. It all sits right with me. Everything is pure coincidence and it makes sense. Everyone had their issues and no one was truly bad or good, still we could see who had the worst morals and committed more mistakes. The game could make sense out of every situation of every group that appeared in front of me… And that made me mad, because everyone had their reasons and I wanted a villain to kill! To take revenge!... ...In the end, I still understood Ellie and her forgiveness towards Abbie, exactly because everyone has their reasons. I was mad, but couldn't be mad at them, I was only mad, because life is unpredictable and things that we don't like can happen just like that. Life goes on. This journey had to end some way, and the way to end it wasn't by killing Abby after all… It wouldn't really be the end. And as soon as Ellie understood that, she could forgive Joel, Abby and, I hope, she forgave herself and finally settled up.
    It really was such an experience and everything about it only made me feel even more immersed. The graphics, even though I don't pay a lot of attention to that, were truly beautiful and realistic, without being uncanny. The gameplay wasn't too difficult to a moron like me, but still gave me challenges and I didn't even feel frustrated when I died too many times, because my deaths were always by mistakes I really did commit and could just figure out what I had to change.
    And a last thing, the fight with Ellie, playing as Abby, it was so creepy. It really felt like it was the Ellie I controlled. She acted different from almost every enemy and that made me really nervous.
    I really think this game isn't just a good piece of entertainment, it makes us think, it gives us chills. The plot uses the gaming as a gadget to confuse you, you're not watching or playing, you are experiencing it. It's not fun because being in the situation of those characters isn't fun, it's not a game that has a plot just… because. It has a story, it uses it and it makes you feel the story, it's not an excuse to feel like you're a badass survivor killing monsters and enemies, you actually feel anxious, nervous, you feel fear, because you're not badass and you don't know what's going to happen. It really feels like more than playing, more than watching or even reading. It's an experience that I'll take with me for life.    … Expand

    This game has made me cry, smile and feel tons of emotions. Even tho some parts of the stpry aren't perfect as many say, it's still an amazing game on every level, graphics, game physics , gameplay etc..so much work put into this game and it shows, i'd play it over and over again. Goty for me forsure

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I'd start off by saying that I was a big fan of the story in the first game and not so much a fan of the game play. My feelings are reversed for this game.

    The graphics, sound, voice acting and game play are excelling in TLoU2. Where the game falls short for me is on the story. I wouldn't even say that the story is "bad" it's just not something that resonated with me.

    I would have much rather had a Joel/Ellie game than what this story is. I didn't like it when Joel died but it wasn't a deal breaker for me. Playing as Ellie on a revenge tale was perfectly fine for me. However, when you have to play as Abby is when I started to lose interest. Nothing about that 8-10 hours as her made me care about her or like her at all. I just thought it was filler to make the game longer, which it didn't need. They could have ended the game at the end of Ellie's 14 hours and it would have been great. But they continued on and made you suffer through Abby. Then you think the game is over and it would have been fine to end there also but they couldn't do that either. You have to slog through another 2-3 hours to get to an ending that isn't satisfying for anyone. If anything, the "antagonist" in this story gets a better ending. In my opinion, Naughty Dog tried way too hard to go against the grain and subvert expectations with the story.

Mechanics are a minor improvement over the last game, but the story is lacking, characters are OUT of character, doing things they WOULD know better than to do given what we know of them, the plot is contrived, and characters we do interact with just are nowhere near as compelling as the first game, even actively unlikable. That with cheap attempts to get us to care for them simply nails the coffin shut for me.

Uncharted series were over the top in every aspect and TLOUII is simply three steps forwards and none backwards compare to everything else done before.

    Also, although it wasn't necessary at all, cinematic direction and concept game direction were very risky, but they were executed properly and in a good way (Debatable). Script, story-telling and what we play is the most "Game of Thrones" things in videogame, where killing any common enemy will look so ridiculously gorgeous and photorealistic, with eye animation and such a great quality design (Not only graphically, but in concept) that it's almost hard to watch because you feel like you're killing a living being. To experience empathy is very common in this game.

    You will feel "something" in every decision made in the story-script. Will it be sad? Will it be good? Will it be bad? it will depend entirely on your personal experience with the madness-vengeance story, but be sure that you will feel something. As a player, you will be part of the story because the connection is too tight and perfect to every character shown. There are not black nor whites, only greys.

    Technically is also one step forward everything you've seen. It looks like a damn PS5-XSX even on PS4 FAT, and we still don't know how magicians Naughty Dog's developers made this.

    A masterpiece that everyone should play at least once. A better and riskier game than the original The Last of Us (2013).    … Expand

    Ellie completely lost her mental health and we see an Ellie with serious problems of post-traumatic stress and attacks of anger.
    Dina and Ellie's relationship is only there as filler for the story but it was really somethin0g unnecessary, I'm not homophobic but forced inclusion in an apocalypse is something "wtf?The only characters that were worth meeting in this installment were Lev and Yara. Nice detail in adding a very strict religious sect, in an apocalypse the church would still be powerful and manipulative. The gameplay is satisfying and makes your heart beat every time you die or survive the attack, nice detail in adding dogs and enemies like the Final boss. On this occasion Gustavo was also magnificent with his soundtrack. Love the game but it is not a masterpiece like the first . Thanks Naughty Dog. Sorry for my bad inglish.    … Expand

    The Last of Us part II is definitely worth playing through at least once. I had only one issue with the story other than that its a phenomenal game. The pacing felt slow at times which was the biggest issue. Other then that i really enjoyed this game. I enjoyed both ellie and abby's gameplay moments. Perhaps abby's more on certain occasions. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
