    Star wars battlefront.....where do i begin. Graphics? best ive seen in a video game thus far. Gameplay? also very fun and more focused on casual gamers which i do like as i dont get rekt every time i play it. content? NO NO NO....HOW COULD EA HAVE DONE THIS????????? The lack of content is so painfully bad i want to cry. At launch this game had about 3 and a half hours of new experiences (Star wars battlefront.....where do i begin. At launch this game had about 3 and a half hours of new experiences ( im saying experiences because there is absolutely no campaign or worth while story mode. yes that means galactic conquest too) Since then they have added a new gamemode and a handful of maps for online multiplayer. but that still does not make up for the complete lack of any single player content. Yes there is survival mode. but it is so half A@@ed that it is more like a tutorial that you should do before actually getting into the main game. my point is you need other people playing with you in order to have any fun at all in this game. It is heartbreaking, so much so that ive went back to bf2 just to see what this game could have been. yeah its pretty, but whats the point in looking good if theres no personality to go with it??? The character customization is literally a bunch of different faces, about 7 overall, with about 3 different hair cuts. that is until you get to rank 40 and 50, then you get a few unique characters. that and the guns. there could have been so much more variety than the 10 guns you unlock through the game. so from here on out we will finish off with pros and cons. with pros first.....

    ~You get the ability to choose the map you would like to play on, the game searches for sessions taking place on the map you choose.
    ~Air battles are fun. but you will get the other half of this in the cons section
    ~Free maps and gamemodes have and will continue to be added into the game.

    and on that note.......im done. i dont recommend buying this game until it goes on sale. wait for a bundle. so that when you buy it, you are buying the complete game. because in its current state, it is unfinished. dont make the same mistake i did and spend 120 dollars on the "ultimate super awesome spaceman edition". it isnt worth it as of now.     Good graphics, but no story or campaign mode present at all.
    Battlefront gets boring way too quickly, and cost too much for a simple arcade shooter seemingly created in a minimal amount of time. It's great to play for a couple of hours, however the few types of multiplayer gameplay become boring, with not enough weapons to unlock.
    Just another EA game; designed to make money and not    Good graphics, but no story or campaign mode present at all.

    I wish there was more here. This is probably, the best looking game I have ever played, honestly. Hoth and Endor are superb, and playing on these maps really make you feel like you are part of the Star Wars movie. Fans of Star Wars will love playing on every map that is available, the problem is however, there are four maps. FOUR.

    With no single player offering, which I would have absolutely no problem with if the rest of the game had more content and substance, the game suffers from absolutely no signs of longevity present. The spawning system on most game types are horrendous, often putting you right back into the action that you recently died from. The only particularly good and interesting character skins can be unlocked from level 40 onwards, as if EA expected people to play 4 maps with possibly 3, 4 (at a push) fun game modes.

    Speaking of EA, I wonder who's idea it was to add a season pass to this game which is the same price as the actual game. Does it sound like something EA would do? If releasing half a game and charging £50 for a season pass is the new way forward then I fear for future big releases.

    Battlefront looks and sounds amazing! weapon variation as well as AI models are done well. The two-camera modes first-person and third-person have no issues and switching between them is easy but as Battlefront shows us looks aren't everything. The problem with Battlefront isn't on a technical level it plays and runs fine but other problems contribute to it's downfall. Battlefront simply doesn't offer the player enough content to work with and all though single-player elements were thrown into the game there isn't enough diversity in missions or customization for matches in fact there is no customization outside of gun and perks; This is a big issue for me I would expect to edit the game maybe my character add some more AI for a huge battle! But sadly, Battlefront doesn't allow me to do that. Next the modes range from multiplayer/single player but Battlefront thinks to small it feels more like a Battlefield re-skin or mod than an actually different game. Battlefront was given the golden opportunity to become the first game of the Star Wars franchise on current gen (PS4, Xbox One) consoles as all the Battlefront games before than was on PC,PS2,Original Xbox and Xbox 360 but it cannot surpass it's predecessors. Lack of large-scale space warfare hurt the game and dealt a powerful blow to fans of the Star Wars franchise. Battlefront's music choice is also very basic I can almost hear the same track playing on any mission I choose to play. It seems like a limited experience as if it was a beta, we should have gotten the cancelled game that looked more entertaining than this. In the end Battlefront was just a commercial game it was designed to trick gamers in with it's shiny graphics and Star Wars logo but gamers got smart and Battlefront's popularity plummeted quickly; Also the amount of DLC present in the game is cringe-worthy. It might be fun to blast storm troopers with your laser rifle that never runs out of ammo but don't expect anything more from Battlefront other than short challenges and combat.… Expand

    While there’s a good selection of improvements – including graphically – and definitely recreates the feeling of being in the Star Wars universe, yet compared to previous instalments, there seems to be a lot missing.

    Gameplay: Controls are very simple and easy to understand, as well as being very responsive.     Gameplay: Controls are very simple and easy to understand, as well as being very responsive. It is great to be a Stormtrooper or a Rebel fighter until you step forward and then proceed to spontaneously combust or grow blaster wounds in vital areas. In short, the online multiplayer is very chaotic and once you do manage to survive long enough to acquire any interesting weapons or vehicles, it feels very anticlimactic, disappointingly as dull as everything else you would’ve done in the game so far.

    If you’d rather avoid the overwhelming multiplayer modes, the offline features aren’t exactly more welcoming. There only a very limited number of game modes available which have almost no content or challenge to them, and are either too short or too slow.

    However, some of the most fun I have had in the game is in the Hero Battles. Despite being very oddly paced at times, it’s hard to deny that it is really fun running around and choking people as Darth Vader, waving your lightsaber around as Luke Skywalker, doing crazy flips as Emperor Palpatine or shooting enemies as Han Solo, Fett or Leia.

    Visuals/Sound: One of the only defining qualities of this game is the atmosphere. This newest addition to Battlefront is undoubtedly the best looking and sounding Star Wars game to date. The scenery, the characters, the sounds and effects are all very authentic to the original trilogy and very easily immerses players in the world of Star Wars.

    Even for those who would be considered indifferent about the Star Wars movies would find this experience thrilling. It really does feel like you’re taking part in a battle within Star Wars itself. However, this would be a good excuse to own the game already, rather than a reason to buy it in the first place; unless of course you are a self-proclaimed massive fan of Star Wars, in which case this is the game for you.

    Summary: A very tight, rather generic shooter, disguised as a good-looking Star Wars game. Definitely not the best Star Wars game out there, and without a doubt not the best Battlefront game. There is genuine fun to be had in this game, for about an hour or so. Unless you’re a big Star Wars fan, the newest Battlefront will get old, fast. Even then, it’ll get old eventually.    … Expand

    Graficamente BRUTAL, asi es como me esperaba a nivel grafico y tecnico un star wars como un fan de la franquisia.
    ,as sin embargo es el MAS POBRE EN CONTENIDO, sin un modo historia, lamentable.
    Star wars a nivel de libros, contenido, es uno de los que mas puede presumir una infinidad de contenido que tiene, ya sea por sus libros, series, creo que orientado a multiplayer es muy bien, como    Graficamente BRUTAL, asi es como me esperaba a nivel grafico y tecnico un star wars como un fan de la franquisia.

    When you rate this game for the graphics and sound it is definitely a 10 out of 10. But when you play this game more the two hours it becomes predictable and boring, also without the $60 season pass this game doesnt feel complete.

    At all it isn't a bad game, as a HUGE fan of Star Wars, i rally loved the soundtrack of the game, the graphic, the maps, the characters that are on the game and the game modes... But, the bad thing is, the few content that we have on the game to play with, just a few maps, a few guns (including the cards), no campaign, few variation of vehicles, few heroes/villains and etc... The gamesAt all it isn't a bad game, as a HUGE fan of Star Wars, i rally loved the soundtrack of the game, the graphic, the maps, the characters that are on the game and the game modes...     It looks incredible but other than that it offers almost nothing that sets it apart from other FPS games. Battlefront seems more like a tech demo than it does a full game. Within a couple of hours you can play through all of the maps and scenarios. This really seems like it was purely made to capitalize on the Star Wars brand.

    The gameplay isn't bad but it is inferior to the other Battlefront games that I have played. I don't know why anyone who choose this game over dozens of other FPS games aside from the graphics and the fact that it is a Star Wars game. There are very few weapon options and most of them are pretty generic. They added character customization but the options are extremely limited. There are only a few battle scenarios.

    There is no storyline or campaign mode at all. Even fighting games put in a basic campaign. There is really no excuse for this.

    Obviously the visuals are great, however, there is very little creativity. I can't think of any past Star Wars games that looked this good but almost all of the past Star Wars games that I have played, such as Jedi Knight or Shadow of the Empire, include unique designs that added to the Star Wars world. Battlefront does a good job of presenting what we already know but doesn't give us anything new design wise.

    Sound Design is basically the same situation as the visuals. Everything sounds great but it is basically just the same sounds that you get in the movies, there are no memorable original songs. Basically EA got what they paid for, recorded it in game form and sold it to consumers at a markup. It sounds good so I give it some props for that but in a world where even indie games are starting to have amazing original tracks I expect more from a massive franchise from a massive company.

    Considering that the game is purely focused on multiplayer I would have expected a lot of maps to choose from but there are hardly any and while they all look great they are all pretty small and not that complex. Just like everything else in this game, they just don't seem to be very inspired.

    While Battlefront is far from the worst game and the production values are mostly excellent, that is not good enough of a reason to buy it. There are far better Star Wars games and far better FPS games. Wait a few years and all the Star Wars games will look and sound this good. Even if you are a huge Star Wars fan I would recommend that you save your money.

    I am impressed by this game as well disappointed. There is now story line to the game. Some of the vehicle controls are just plain difficult. But I am impressed that you can drive ships and everything else. Multiplayer combat is so enjoyable. 5/10

    Pros: - Absolutely stunning to look at. These worlds were brought to life with care and focus, feeling as though they were pulled straight from the films - Sound design is exceptional. Whether its the buzzing slash of a lightsaber or the high pitched squeal of a laser blaster, the    Star Wars Battlefront is a disappointingly shallow multiplayer FPS that made all the wrong decisions.

    Pros:
    - Absolutely stunning to look at. These worlds were brought to life with care and focus, feeling as though they were pulled straight from the films
    - Sound design is exceptional. Whether its the buzzing slash of a lightsaber or the high pitched squeal of a laser blaster, the sounds are accurate and perfectly placed. Battles sound just how you'd expect
    - Great music; tracks both new and old place the game directly in the Star Wars universe
    - Playing as the heroes and villains of the Star Wars universe never gets old

    Cons:
    - Incredibly long loading times; whether entering a map or simply waiting to go back to the title screen, you are looking at a minute or more of idling. It gets frustrating fast.
    - No single player
    - Poor progression favors veterans far too heavily. Too many helpful abilities and weapons are locked completely inaccessible to beginners. Newcomers are already at a disadvantage in terms of skill and familiarity, also giving them the worst of the weapons and no star cards makes this title incredibly difficult to get into
    - The most interesting game modes are locked behind DLC. Multi-tiered objective based modes are locked, with only basic game modes available to all.
    - Too much is locked behind DLC. I had most of my fun on DLC maps and game modes. The base game is painfully shallow
    - Team balancing is horrendous. I have entered matches to find myself alone on my team against 5 players on the opposite side. Even when numbers are even, skill levels are seemingly not considered. Far too often games feel completely one sided. Competitive matches are few and far between.
    - Shallow space combat

    Mixed:
    - Loose, spread heavy gunplay. Some people may like this, but I like my guns to be precise.
    - Game modes are a mixed bag; again this will have a lot to do with personal preference

    Star Wars Battlefront looks and feels like a Star Wars game should, but unfortunately while putting so much effort into the presentation, it seems the designers forgot to back it up with content. While there is fun to be had, the loose gunplay, unfair progression system, long loading times and terrible team balancing will turn most away before they can ever find it.    … Expand

    This game has the foundation to be the Battlefront game we expected, but falls flat when it comes to the actual amount of gameplay you can sink into it. The game just doesn't have enough content to have been sold at full price-you'd expect the same amount of content for a beta not a finished game.

    I've played the game countless times and over 400 hours, it is indeed incredibly beautiful and thematic and I love that, but hell there are 3 things you should know before considering to buy it or its sequel:

    1) very weak cheating control, 1-2 guys often ruin a game of 40; 2) EA servers only, and this is bad, like profit maximization bad.     if i had a dollar for every game mode and map there was i wouldn't have enough money to buy a stylish necktie to pull a David Carradine to forget about the time i wasted hunting slot machine tokens in a war zone so i could become an asthmatic man with a glowing nightstick to beat up children online. At least the graphics and sounds are fantastic, but i could load up on some LSD and cleanif i had a dollar for every game mode and map there was i wouldn't have enough money to buy a stylish necktie to pull a David Carradine to forget about the time i wasted hunting slot machine tokens in a war zone so i could become an asthmatic man with a glowing nightstick to beat up children online. At least the graphics and sounds are fantastic, but i could load up on some LSD and clean my flower garden and have a deeper and more rewarding experience than picking up some dead stormtroopers mario money in this game. Some of you may say "Hey now! they've added lots of exciting DLC and expansions!" well hemorrhoids can be exciting also, and i could play with that offline (unlike the DLC) but it cant fix an already painful BM session. Battlefront is the painful BM of the year. It gave me some long hard BMs just by being awful and shallow and reaching into my wallet while i had my pants down for the said BM. how could you EA. You destroyed a franchise, a classic, a memory, and a perfectly good digestive tract. Shame on you.… Expand

    The game was pretty dissapointing. There is no story, about 14 guns, and some different people to choose from, the graphics are great, I would give it a 7, except for the full game price (80 dollars Canadian) that puts it down to a 5

    For anyone looking to buy this because of nostalgia, dont waste your money the game is not good but not great either. Compared to battlefront 2 from 2005 Id much rather 2 gameplay wise. The game has little to none content for singleplayer most of the enjoyable aspects are blocked behind dlc. I was so excited getting this for Christmas to only be disappointed. Сочная картинка, которой в пылу творящегося на мультиплеерных картах хаоса, просто некогда насладиться? Или возможность настучать (НЕ РАСКРОМСАТЬ) светящейся битой (НЕ МЕЧОМ) противникам по шапке? Я фанат SW , но ко всему прочему я ещё и геймер, который прекрасно понимает, что на одном фане далекой далёкой галактики на тысячалетнем соколе не улететь! Я рад, что SWB от DICE не имеет цифры III и огорчён, что в этом названии не присутсвует словосочетание starter pack. Но даже после всех вышедших допов, чаша весов склоняется к слову ПОМОТИВЩИНА, а не к слову игра. SWB - фановая пострелушка и не больше!

But this game has no campaign and only two modes for single player, both of which can get really boring in a matter of maybe an hour tops.     This game is incredibly lacking. Sure the visuals are fantastic and the sound design is perfect and hearing John Williams score over blaster fire and explosions never gets old. The shading, lighting, coloring, and literally everything else graphically is perfection. However as i have stated the game is lacking. Game play wise is okay. The shooting is pretty solid and controlling can feelThis game is incredibly lacking. The shading, lighting, coloring, and literally everything else graphically is perfection. However as i have stated the game is lacking. Game play wise is okay. The shooting is pretty solid and controlling can feel stiff sometimes but overall is fine. The maps are huge and controlling vehicles is a lot of fun. The air combat is pretty standard but again is fine. Weapons all feel pretty similar and so do the star cards. Hero's are so much fun but the fact you have to pick up a token to play as one is stupid and creates camping in those spawning areas. Progression and unlocks happen far too slow. But the worst part of this game is the lack of content. Almost no single player content except for tutorial missions which is so sad. The missions are all pretty basic so if you want to play offline alone there isn't much for you. There are literally 4 launch maps for the standard edition which is outrageous. There is only a handful of good multiplayer modes as well. The amount of content for the base game is so disappointing and after a while you feel like you experienced everything that can happen and it makes the game feel shallow.     If this game had been 30 euros, i would have understand the lack of content. But for 60 euros, and a 50 euro season pass? **** you EA, this is just a scam.

    Graphics are undeniably good, this is true, and it's fun to be tooling about the Star Wars universe. But there's just no way around it: this game is boring. You've pretty much seen it all after an hour of playing. Beyond that, it's just more of the same. Most expensive 1-hour of gameplay ever!

    The game is good, but once again EA rips out content to sell it to you as DLC. The game would have been great with all the content left, even worth the $60 or more. But we get a shallow game and are forced to buy DLC if we want the full experience.

    The graphics are great. The sound is great. But as this is not a complete game, I cannot give it a complete score.

And of the 4 maps in the game only 2 are worth playing in my opinion. The game gets old really fast... really fast. Like 5 hours. And you didn't buy a 60 dollar game for 5 hours worth of fun. All of the game is hiding in the dlc that costs 50 **** dollars. So at the end of the day don't buy it. Its not worth the money. At the same time mother**** EA is pushing a 110 dollar game with enough content to fill maybe a 40 dollar one from the late 2000's people like Bethesda are putting out a 60 dollar game that feels like it has all the DLC included. Don't buy it, just pirate it and find a way to work around the blocks EA has put up. I know it's illegal, but buying the game is basically letting EA steal money for you, and if you have bought the game, don't buy the DLC and if you can return the season pass. No one else will be playing it and you will have spent 110 dollars on a MULTIPLAYER ONLY game with empty servers, and that will be a damn shame.… Expand

    EA Games promised us a lot, but the game doesn't deliver on a lot of levels. I had more fun playing the original Battlefront games made for the PlayStation 2. It costs fifty dollars to buy a Season Pass, when you can use that money to buy another game. That's truly ridiculous.

This is probably the most unique thing about this game, but every time I finally get to play as a hero, the match is over within 45 seconds, like every DICE game ever.

    Verdict:
    For a game in serious lack of variety, this is a huge oversight. Star Wars Battlefront is one of the most frustrating kinds of games. It's a concept with such huge potential that falls so flat upon release. It's shallow, it's dull, and you gotta pay $50 bucks to get more maps.     It's fun sure, I love it. But the game frustrates me more than it gives me enjoyment. Broken spawns, unbalanced.. everything, one-sided game modes like fighter squadron and walker assault. Well hell, one-sided everything in favor of the rebels really except maybe heroes vs villains. Did Dice even play their own game?

    Just another generic shooter, it doesn't have the spirit of the original Star Wars Battlefronts. The cancelled Battlefront 3 looked so amazing, it's a huge shame that it was cancelled. If they had released that game and renamed this one Star Wars Battlefield then all would be good but don't advertise a new Star Wars BattleFRONT when it isn't that.

    -You have less freedom of movement, many maps funnel you instead of letting you move about freely throughout the battlefield which completely destroys any strategy
    -No space battles, many like myself loved the space battles from the older game. They really could have done something amazing if they had taken the time to add that in
    -No Single player campaign and no Galactic conquest. 100% multiplayer, as much as I love multiplayer its fun every now and then to play a single player campaign

    Game sounds and looks incredible. thats where my praise ends, the beta was false advertising for a shallow game with nothing to offer. No Campaign, lack of maps, lack of game modes, and painfully slow progression that will make you grind more in than a Free to play game.

Weapons are all just point and spray/ very little burst needed only on long ranges, this game has nothing after a few hours for any serious gamer as it's far to easy, and if you have some skills as an FPS player you will find this a turkey shoot, so no real challenge. You can easily lvl once/twice each time you play one map, unlocks make no real difference.

    Over priced, severely lacking in content, already traded in, completely disappointed as I'm a big fan of battlefield.    … Expand

Technically this game is amazing, graphics is probably the best looking on PS4 and movements even smoother than COD.. but after playing a few hours on online modes, it is pretty much just a purposeless laser tag game with nice graphics but very limited maps.     You spawn, you die. You walk a bit, you die. You finally see a guy and get him, but then you die.

    Not for me. Needs some of the Star Wars magic, not just the great A/V presentation.

    Also very expensive for so little actual game. At launch it was $79.99 CDN, and the DLC pack for a year is another $69.99. That is insane. EA needs to pull it's head out. There is no game here, just pretty graphics. They should be offering a year of DLC as part of that ridiculous $*) for a game charge.

    It looks great and plays great for a few hours but becomes stale and boring, Not enough in the game to keep playing for more then a couple of days. Very disappointing.

    First of all, I pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition PS4 Console bundle. I discovered after the fact that this bundle does not include the much-advertised early access to the Battle of Jakku. This seems to be a developer choice since it is the same across all retailers. DiCE / EA, shame on you. I spent $450+ to play your game and you stiff me an early access code.

    Now, on to the actual game. It looks spectacular, to be sure. The graphics are pristine and the sound effects are great. Even so, I don't find it nearly as immersive as others claim to. Sure, it sounds like Star Wars, but the level of immersion is limited to, "We're on Endor, so here's a bunch of forest," or "We're on Hoth, so here's snow." Gone are the iconic visages of the movies (the Tattooine homestead, the carbonite freezing chamber, etc.), replaced by generic locations that sort of remind me of the films.

    I also think the older games were more impressive in their integration of combat and flight. You could hop into a ship and take off into some air combat. Now, flight is available in a fraction of the maps, and even then it is accessible by picking up tokens rather than actually hopping into a ship. It feels cheap and insincere on the part of the developers not to at least have the player interact with a ship before appearing in the sky mid-flight. As it stands now, I can barely be bothered doing any flying at all in the game, which is a real wasted opportunity.

    The lack of single-player really eats me up. I love two things: single player and splitscreen. I don't care much for online play, it's too competitive for my tastes, and with the old Battlefront I & II, that was perfectly fine, I could still have a ton of fun. Now, there is little room for me to enjoy the game. I can play Survivor mode with my buddy on the couch (which is fun for an hour or two of play here and there), or I can play a tutorial by myself. That's about it. This is a game for the Battlefield/CoD crowd, and not really for anyone else.

    Even my limited experience in online play tells me that it is pretty bare-bones. About 16 maps, much recycled amongst one another, and a few different guns and supplies to unlock. Even if all the upcoming DLC packs were free, I'd be hard-pressed to say this game was worth the price of admission.

    I was hoping for a PS4 successor to those great PS2 classics that we all know and love. Instead, I got an experience more akin to the disappointment of Lord of the Rings: Conquest than to the old Battlefront games. Here's hoping something better comes along in the future. I gave that game a second chance but after a game i felt that it was broken, some games looked like Unreal tournament (jet pack, laser spaming, grenades flying non stop), no strategy and constant frustration .. I look back and honestly i didnt miss anything and probably wont. Just dont buy it, unless it's 29$.    … Expand

    They had everything to make a good game but it seems that there is just money that matters to EA. $ 80 plus tax for a game that does not contain a single player or multiplayer and game mode are all the same, excluding dlc to 69$ so 150$ plus tax for a full game. This game is a shame for the players.

    I'm one of those people that has been waiting for a Star Wars game where you get to play story mode, I figured I'd try this out anyway it's fun at first and looks and sounds amazing but not much to the gameplay as it becomes boring quickly.

Its difficult to employ any strategy when players are spawned in random areas. No hardcore option so if you cant keep fire on the enemy for 3 full seconds...no kill. No hardcore option so if you cant keep fire on the enemy for 3 full seconds...no kill. I thought Dice would follow the quality of their great FPS Battlefield games. Seems like they were in it for the quick buck. $60 for the game and another $50 for the season pass. Not worth that money in my opinion. What a pity : i still cannot understand why i get killed every 30 seconds as there is no strategy involved, no plan, no real hidden move, what you do is run run run blast blast blast but this is so frustrating vs the theme !     Such a disappointment I absoloutley loved Battlefront 1 and 2 and I was depressed when I found out everything good about those games was not going to be in the game, and was more than likely going to be in the season pass, thanks for ruining a beloved franchise EA.

    Looks and sounds absolutely incredible - you are in Star Wars... Where you will spend a lot of time running and dying. Such a missed opportunity it is almost criminal. Lack of single player campaign and the obvious missing elements that will be offered as paid DLC is also criminal.

    Such a shame :-(

On top of these smaller factors are the much larger factors such as the price tag in total ($110 for game and season pass), the awful updates that try to "fix" what wasn't broken in the game to make it a level playing field, and that major lack of content. Battlefront 1 and 2 were jam packed full of content with multiplayer, galactic conquest, and CAMPAIGN (which for some reason isn't important anymore). First, this up in prices isn't just for Star Wars Battlefront, but still. I don't want to pay 60-70$ for a game only to have the DLC season pass (all of the items that were originally on there that were just held back) come out shortly after for another $50. Had it been 20$ it may not have been as big of an ordeal. Secondly, these updates really need to quit trying to level the game out. There is no point in allowing level progression if you're going to nerf all of the stronger weapons and buff all of the weaker ones, just make a linear game with one a full-auto, semi-auto, and burst gun at that point. Lastly, the biggest surprise to me was the upsetting fact that EA felt in their hearts (assuming they have them) that campaign is for chumps and Star Wars (a franchise known for its stories) didn't need an actual campaign to appeal to gamers. That is about as smart as reading instructions telling you to not put your hand in a blender and then putting it in there anyway and slamming down the pulse button. These lackluster, repetitive "missions" are a joke, its just training AI with buffed reaction time. If EA makes a sequel to this game (which I really hope they do and do it right) then there needs to be a campaign, better weapons/ versatility, and perhaps a lower price tag (ha). Oh, and if you're going to charge $110 for a star wars game, the gamers should at least get every single Star Wars and not just the OT (even if you hate the prequels).

    Pros: The real reason this game gets a 4 and not a 1 is because of my love of Star Wars, but still there are some good factors about the game too. The switch between FPS and TPS is an amazing addition, the graphics are phenomenal, and the maps are pretty fun despite being so few. FPS are my favorite game type, but Battlefront is the first TPS I've played in a while that I actually prefer instead the other view. Sure there are strategic values to using third-person over first, but it just feels better and almost like you're watching a star wars movie in third-person. In the latest update, the graphics were improved slightly again, and they look outstanding. You can see the glimmer of sun rays off of armor, dents in vehicles, and each separate bolt of lightning bolting at you. Lastly, the maps are great and nicely organized (except those pitiful spawn points) which I would probably bet that was DICE's work and not EA as DICE does a great job creating beautiful and massive maps. The downside to the maps, though, is that there are so few (9 original, 2 free so far, and "4" dlc).

    Overall, I would buy this game just to have a Star Wars game to play every now and again. For now, I'll continue playing Batman and Warframe until No Man's Sky comes out.    … Expand

    The graphics are great, but sadly there is no story and the game is only fun to play when on multiplayer (but even then it gets boring). As a fan of Star Wars, I was massively disappointed with this game. I can't believe I wasted my money on it...

    A Star Wars game that feels more Battlefield TM than a Star Wars game, because of a major oversight regarding it's lack of iconic maps that later became DLC.

The lack of a local multiplayer means your forced to die continuously fighting strangers, unlocking guns that all seem to be the same gun with different stats, other than, of course, the gun that you are forced to pay extra money for (meaning if your willing to spend an extra $10 you unlock by far the best gun taking all incentive out of the game). The game is designed for low-skilled level players who enjoy mindless first person shooters. The only good thing about this game is the fact that the graphics are outstanding and the fact that its in the star wars universe. Overall, wouldn't recommend this game to anyone above the ages of 10.… Expand

    The maps were too big so it's hard to find your friends, the weapons feel the same and when you have a character like Luke or Darth Vader, the gameplay becomes slow and sluggish.
    And the online is boring too, this fanbase is annoying and since the gameplay sucks, the online isn't enjoyable to me..

    It's sad that there isn't much to talk about because there isn't a lot to this game, the little amont of content is laughable, the gameplay is like call of duty so if you enjoy call of duty, maybe you will enjoy this. For me, this game looks incredible and sounds just like star wars but the game itself isn't good.    … Expand

    With the new film of the space opera saga finally on the big screen and the release of Battlefront's new sequel, both after a decade overdue, it is definitely the best time to be a Star Wars fan. The game itself is a dream-come-true for fans, and the Star Wars spectacle is strong in this one. However, if it is depth and longevity you seek... this is not the game you are looking for.
