    Unbelievable. EA has done it again. Once again ruining a potentially fantastic game with greedy marketing tactics. Not only is $60+ title heavily inclusive of microtransactions, but the game is also RIDDLED with bugs and glitches. SWBF2 isn't worth its microtransactions, isn't worth its season pass, heck, it isn't even worth its $60 price tag in its current state. Another disappointment.

    Shameless cash-in to exploit consumers. EA is a predator. Do not buy this game. Disney needs to do the right thing and take the Star Wars license back and give it to a company that will not shart in its consumers' faces.

    Look i know this isn't really a review but to just give you guys an understanding, I know there are a lot of people in the world that wasted $80 or $60 on a game that they didn't really want to play or people that hate the game by just seeing other people play it. Guys how are they going to make money, the game has FREE DLC!!! They are still working on the game, and call of duty and battlefield do the same exact thing with my loot crates, you spend money to get good stuff, do you see people complain about that, its your money do whatever you wish with it, i wont be spending on money on loots crates im just going to earn it the hard way, by grinding it. I know a lot of you just hate me for saying these but its the truth in my point of view. The game is still brand new, EA and DICE are really working hard on giving us a good game, ya the game is unfinished but at the same time they didn't have time to put everything in the game, there already promising us a dlc here soon, and soldier customization, so if your one of those people that wasted 80 or 60 dollars on the game then why did you even buy it i mean seriously, but hey its your own money. i love the game by the way, ya only a limited amount of maps to play on and only a few things to do in the game, but i keep telling myself, hey the game is still fun i will keep playing it, and its a new game still, i will wait for new content.     A mediocre game with simplistic and limited gameplay, a poor campaign and small selection of content that has been brought even lower by a frankly insane micro-transaction system which all but forces players to shell out more money to play the only partly enjoyable aspect of the game.

    This game was designed to exploit consumers, pathetic attempt.

    I will never buy EA's games ever again they have traded away any scrap of credibility, the second they turned this into a pay to win, grind of an experience. Lootboxes are never appropriate in a premium game, not to mention the game is almost unplayable even without the microtransactions.

The gameplay is all fine and deserves a solid 9/10 but the use of pay to win practices and forcing players to grind for far too many hours for things that should be in the base game just killI want to say that his game is amazing. I feel bad for the developers at Dice that spent so much time creating a decently well made game and only now are having it ruined by the greedy practices by EA. I want to say that this game is amazing but just letting those terrible business practices slide is something I can't do.

    I hope that EA learns from this or crashes and burns to teach the rest of the Gaming Market that the pay to win practices are not ok.    … Expand

    Loot boxes and "micro-transactions" are absolutely unacceptable in an $60 AAA game. Keep that sh*t for the free mobile games. This could be a good game, but EA's greed ruins it all, and don't believe that micro-transactions are gone. They are gonna come back and in greater numbers.

    Micro transaction has gone too far in the gaming industry, this needs to be put to a stop and only the gamers can make this happen. Do not support EA and their money hungry business practice, it all started with monopolizing the NFL with it's Madden franchise and now this. It'll only get worse before it gets better but it doesn't mean it can't start now.

Player movement is jerky and stuttering, which makes it impossible to aim properly. Second, I have a question: is my weapon supposed to harm the enemy? Because mine never does. Server lag is a big problem. Often, I get the jump on the enemy, I shoot them multiple times point blank, and they just won't go down. It's not uncommon for me to die, and then see my killer appear from behind cover after I'm already dead. In other words, I never had a chance to shoot back because the server was too slow letting me know he was there. Third, the maps are poorly designed. Good shooters have well thought out maps that are conducive to interesting, enjoyable combat. But with these maps, players just run all over the map willy nilly without purpose, trying to kill randomly and collect points so that they can come back as some uber hero. You spend all your time simply trying to find the enemy, and then before you do, you get ear holed by some cheesy mechanic, such as a hero, before you ever have the chance to use your blaster. Fourth, controller responsiveness is poor. The circle button is supposed to make your character roll and crouch. But the response is hit and miss. Sometimes they crouch when you want to roll, roll when you want to crouch, but more often than not it just does neither one, especially when someone is shooting at you. Shield doesn't deploy when I need it. Grenade won't throw when I need it. Etc... Finally, character advancement gives higher level players a big advantage. It is, in a very real sense, pay to win. Other shooters have been smart enough to make advancement more about fun abilities, and not about dominating the battlefield with uber abilities and heroes. Players that had the 3 day early access are basically unbeatable until you level up your own character.… Expand

    I was gifted a copy of this game by a relative and went into it without knowing the full extent of what was going on. The single player campaign is short and doesn't live up to the quality of a AAA game made in the modern times. Actually, outside of visuals, it doesn't live up to the quality of games from just about any time.     Where to even Begin? Well, I think with the professional review scores that give it high scores. They are bs because the game is RIDDLED with bugs every where. In campaign for instance Vibrating screen during the space battles that transfer to fps mode when you land the ship and get out at one point.     In the same scene the ship couldn't destroy anything I shot at without using the barrage ability which had ungodly cool down.

    In multiplayer the lag is really bad, you get stuck in things easily. The grind is still horrid on purpose
    To promote a pay to win atmosphere where the player is heavily tempted to buy randomized loot crates which is glorified gambling. This is not the quality of a game that people should expect for a base game that has a 60$ minimum price tag yes, Minimum. Because you never get a full game for that price anymore thanks to content carved up for season pass bs. Speaking of Passes, that's what you should do with this game, give it a pass for one of the many other , better titles that came out this year.    … Expand

    Well so I'm playing the Sniper class... and you have a Binocular perk where you can wallhack (like Widow in overwatch). Thing is, another sniper has a better binocular because he got it in a lootbox.
    Now... I spend in-game credits to purchase over 20 specialised lootboxes to try to get this binocular which increase your wallhack lenght... no luck. YES this is the word: LUCK!

    I wanted to put this game a 10 because it's great, but i can't because i haven't yet received my "10/10 score" card from those stupid lootboxes.

    They should've put cosmetics and visual customization only into lootboxes, no one would say a word. EA could make tons of money by selling just visuals. But no, they had to go and ruin character progression by making it into pay-to-win.

    First I have to praise the game for being amazing graphics, story and gameplay in the single player story.

    Multiplayer is an improvement from the original game, lots of modes unlockable characters, eras and levels. The gunplay feels just like it should for the movies and the amount of content is superb. Anyone can make a game look good if you prohibit players from by using invisible walls... That’s fine but they make it so obvious here.

    I highly recommend watching streamers play the game first before you buy and make your descision then. I was lucky had a coupon to get it... 70$ is a lot of money for a game my opinion they don;t deserve my money.    … Expand

    There was no sense of accomplishment when they made this game. Taking one of the greatest online multiplayer games and ruining the name by giving it the same title for the remake is deplorable. They are money hungry and greedy and this game showcases that.

    Urgh. Beautiful game so I gave it a 1 for the graphics but, just like many others had told me, it's pay to win.

    Luckily I played it on my friend's console so I didn't waste my money. Don't waste yours either.

    On the up side, I just finished The Evil Within 2. That was great. And I didn't have to pay to win! Buy that game instead!

The developers have made their intentions clear that they have no interest in making a quality product and instead are trying to charge as much as possible out of their customers. In addition, some of the content, cinematic, and story shown off in the trailers is not actually in the game.

Когда вышел первый трейлер, я был безумно рад, мол, наконец-то нам покажут историю чисто про Империю в рамках нового канона. Дисней сильно испортил когда-то обширную и продуманную вселенную. Повстанцы, Пробуждение Силы, куча мусорных романов и комиксов... все это дерьмо заставляло меня и многих других фанатов испытывать сильное воспламенение в области тазобедренного сустава. Разве что Изгой-Один вышел очень даже ничего. И вот вышла игра. Игра, на которую я надеялся. Игра, которая должна была стать чем-то свежим в новой версии лора Звездных Войн. Все бомбили из-за кейсов, на что мне было собственно насрать. Меня интересовал сингл. И сначала все очень даже хорошо. Бодрый и не утомляющий геймплей, шикарные катсцены и в принципе не деревянные и интересные персонажи. В начале еще таилась надежда, что тут будет замес по типу имперской гражданской войны из старого канона, где Айден соберет народ, который против этого е**ного "Пепла" (самая тупая вещь в новом лоре, уничтожать свои собственные планеты, п*здец просто, настоящий каноничный Палыч, а не эта диснеевская пародия на него, был бы просто в ахуе от такой инициативы), и поведет их против адмирала Версио и лояльных ему людей и офицеров, одновременно сопротивляясь Новой Республике. НО КАК НЕОЖИДАННО, этого бл*ть не произошло, она перешла к этим е*аным повстанцам, ах**ть просто, как же это бл*ть ОРИГИНАЛЬНО! ДА, чесслово вам говорю, такого еще НИКОГДА не было в Звездных Войнах! Это очень ИНТЕРЕСНЫЙ сюжетный поворот, что-то НОВЕНЬКОЕ, просто глоток свежего воздуха н**уй!

    эхх... я ждал этот высер целый год, а получил заезженный, клишированный и тупой сюжет.

    Скажу честно, после принятия гг в повстанцы, я не стал дальше играть, просто убедился, что дальше все будет также. Мой обзор ах**нно необъективный, я знаю, что судят игры не доиграв до конца только петухи, может там дальше будет какой-нибудь ах**нно интересный геймплей и прочее... но мне нахер это не нужно. Есть куча других намного более инетересных шутеров. А Звездные Войны - это прежде всего история. Но здесь она... я просто не знаю, какие слова верно охарактеризуют все это дерьмо. Мне просто хочется плакать от всего этого.

    Все тут поливают матом политику ЕА, и я полностью с вами солидарен, ибо эта новая тенденция с микротранзакциями в ААА проектах за 4к просто ни в какие ворота не лезет, и не имеет права на существование.
    Но я обращаюсь не к ЕА, а к компании Disney: хватит гробить Звездные Войны. Пожалуйста.    … Expand

    The game would've been great, if they hadn't completely ruined the balancing/progression with micro-transactions. The visuals and game play are solid enough, but the greed is what shines through the most here. I will no longer support any EA game, as long as it has any form of micro-transactions in it.

    Star Wars Battlefront II provides a greater ambition than the previous installment. It has powerful war scenes, a brand new single player mode, and shows a much more magnificent Star Wars Universe. But just like the Jedi should be ware of the dark side of the Force, this game also meets some similar situations, such as beleaguered microtransaction elements and character growth problems. The first 10 hours of this game is full of surprises; however, the further you play this game, the more disappointed you will get.
