This game is just the same as the first Battlefront. And EA tries to sell it at An even higher price leeching on the money of the gamer. I'm sick of this. EA never listens and messes up games. I'll go for a refund yes please!

The pay-to-win progression model is a shame and has no place in a 60$ "full" game. With these shenanigans, EA is without doubt one of the worst company in America and in the world. Loot boxes should be legally forbidden. If this kind of eco system continues to exist, companies like EA won't stop to treat gamers as fools.

This score is not just an irrational tantrum. This score it means this franchise needs another developer and another publisher. We all wanted Battlefront 3. We all loved conquest mode, we loved the 200v200 battles or more vs the CPU and with friends. WE LOVED THE "WE ARE TAKING THE COMMAND POST". But no, who really believes they did any research if they took all we loved out? Just to put it in the third game they will produce when the next starwars film comes out. Then they will say again they "heard" what we were asking for. **** Listen now and give us a modernized version of the 2005 game. Not a pay to win game for over 60€ with MACROtransactions that go to 100€ for RNG boxes. Lootboxes should never have gameplay things but like overwatch, only visuals and customization.
I'm too angry and losing myself here. Just summarize with EA being a company that just wants your money and hides their hand grabbing your wallet with those good graphics and huge advertisement campaigns to attract all those less informed or more innocent. Stop this EA. Hope this game fails. Doing the same with FIFA. Every year the same game just changing the players from teams. What you could do with a simple update. The gameplay changes, also with a simple update or 20€ DLC.
I decided not to touch an EA game ever again and try to spread the word of how they are destroying the industry. Thank you for reading my rant.

I don't know why I didn't expect this when EA said "no playable DLCs". They've done it a hundred times and I still fell for it, but it's of course my fault. While this system works great for free to play games, it's absurd that, after paying 60€ for a game, you have to pay more if you want to try all of its content. I'd rather have paid DLCs and a season pass, I swear.
Then the single player is fun, but only 5 hours long. For any fellow Empire lovers, don't buy it to play as the Empire, because you barely get to kill rebel scum. Also it doesn't have galactic conquest or anything so the single player is really limited.

One dev quoted on the Reddit AMA that a user gets 20% of their battlepoints as credits at the end of the game. I got over 7000 points to get 400 credits, nowhere near 20% and certainly nowhere near enough to even consider getting a star card to help me compete.

EA likes to defend loot boxes by saying you always get something so its not gambling, but if everyone is honest its really no different, imagine a slot machine that had a minimum payout per spin of 1 cent, it costs 5 cents per spin, so you always get something..... but most of the time what you get is not worth what you put in, hence gambling.

SMH, Another EA "masterpiece" with super high price and riddled with P2W elements. For the love of the Force I don't want to spend 60$ to buy the game and then another 60$ just to be able to compete or play with characters that I cherish and like. Don't buy this money grab...Just don't. It's EA that should sum it up just fine.

Gameplay can be fun, but the progression system doesn't exist. Loot crates are the only progression system available. Instead of grinding to unlock a specific gun at level x, you grind to maybe open a gun you want in loot crates... Miss the old BF2

The multiplayer is fun, until you are against someone on the opposite team who has spent tons of money to max out a character that can dominate an entire team by itself. The progression is broken due to the micro-gambling transactions for loot boxes and the absurd bypassing of skill to upgrade characters with real world money. This game is fundamentally broken at this point in time and it will take a major overhaul of the progression system to make the gameplay fun.

EA tries to please casual gamers and hardcore gamers at the same time, but the old saying about that stands true: jack of all trades, master of none. It's not casual enough to be arcade like, and not hardcore enough to be a Battlefield with a Star Wars skin. Also, the economy debacle is worse than anything I have ever seen in a game.

I give this game a 0 because it's absolute garbage. The single player is a measly 6 hours at most. The advertising for an interesting campaign with a female inferno squad trooper is boarder-line false advertising as you spend most of the campaign not playing as her at all.

In regards to multiplayer, unless you are prepared to spend 40 - 60 hours grinding to unlock each and every character, you can say goodbye to playing as every hero in the game. It's obvious that the progression system is completely built around Microtransactions, and even though they have removed this, it's important that the removal is only temporary. EA fully intends to reintroduce Microtransactions at a later date, presumably after many people have already bought the game. The thing is that these microtransactions made the game PTW. Someone could literally drop a few hundred dollars and upgrade their character to top tier OP status in minutes. Again, as of now, this feature is removed, but is scheduled to be reintroduced at a later date.

All that aside, the game just sucks. The multiplayer has horrible maps except for maybe two. Everything is easy, and the whole game is just a pew pew fest in Star Wars looking characters. Hero characters are ridiculously OP such that standard classes can't compete. But what's worse is that there is no direction to this game, you just run around shooting people via ambush, because the maps have no logical progression to set up face to face gunfights. The whole game, from single to multiplayer is just a steaming pile of trash. I strongly advise you all to avoid this game at all costs. It's not worth $60 in any way shape or form.

Very cod style, can be fun but stops after 2-3 gamess, which sad because you need 10 to buy a loot box. Progression system now: there was a time when you could enjoin the entire game after a reasonable play time. Now you need thousands of farm hours or dollars to get the full potential of each class. Their excuses about the lootbox incitating to play other class is bs, cause in the long term, the time needed to unlock everything rank 4 for each class is so damn high that you have to focus on only one. In the end trading the 40$ season pass/extension (like in the old battlefield days) for a mindless grind or insane amount of money was a **** deal for the player, despite EA trying to persuade us from the opposite. To finish on a good note, the environment and atmosphere are very well done and a joy to look at when you have te time to between 2 respawn. 7 for the atmosphere; -2 for **** single player; +0 for average cod style multi; -9000 for the 4000 hours to unlock everything; -1000000 for the random lootbox leveling. 0 in the end. Without this progression issue that could be an average game to pick on sale and have fun a few hours with. Star Wars Battlefront II provides a greater ambition than the previous installment. It has powerful war scenes, a brand new single player mode, and shows a much more magnificent Star Wars Universe. But just like the Jedi should be ware of the dark side of the Force, this game also meets some similar situations, such as beleaguered microtransaction elements and character growth problems. The first 10 hours of this game is full of surprises; however, the further you play this game, the more disappointed you will get.
