Dont let EA fool you just yet!, their new tweet means nothing considering the following:

Quote: "the ability to purchase Crystals in-game will become available at a later date" meaning its not gonna be removed at all just modified into something else... KEEP THE FIGHT GOING.
defend your rights as gamers, consumers and most of all STAR WARS FANS.

Hey EA, just learned you removed the micro transactions from BF2. Don't care, hope this game suffers cause you thought that was okay to begin with. If this is in the next battlefield game the same response will happen.

The pay to win in this game is disgusting. We have to let them know, this is unacceptable. We let them know time and time again when these details were released and they refused to do anything about it. They are the most downvoted comment on reddit, and a joke among gamers.

A full priced game, broken unless you buy lootboxes. It makes me absolutely sick at the greed of the industry. Trying to pay to get the full game would cost $2100. It's disgusting.

Here we have a $60 game that fails as a console/PC title because it uses a mobile F2P transaction model, and also fails as a mobile game because I can't play it while I'm on the toilet. EA wants the best of both worlds; but so do I.

Unfortunately, the method by which EA has chosen to monetize future development will ensure that there isn't much of a player base to fragment anyway. So... Great job, EA...?

Looks and sounds nice, though. I'll enjoy watching people play this on YouTube for a couple of hours maybe.

While I think the basics of multiplayer are there for an enjoyable game, that real problem lays in the microtransactions to get to them. Alternately, we asked for a campaign and EA gave us half of one...

You know why EA. Pay to win does not belong in gaming. Your business model is that of pure greed. NO ONE should buy this game. DO NOT support this behavior.

Like an ill-fated case of hemorrhoids, microtransactions have rubbed raw the anus of the gaming community. With EA's gangrenous, malformed hand as its guide, Battlefront II is a red hot iron defiling that already inflamed anus.

I feel sorry for the devs that made this game because the reality is, they didnt decide to add the pay for play system, EA did, their business development team did, and they should all be fired. They have no idea about gamers, they just see dollar signs and want to maximise profit and to a degree I understand that. But instead of putting up all these pay walls and stupid micro transactions, just owe up to the fact that you need more money and CHARGE MORE upfront but with everything unlocked! We don't want to grind our way through games, we dont want to be limited by our options and to not be able to do what we want to do. Yes we want progression but not at a financial cost. If you spent some of that money you've clearly had to spend to come up with these offensive micro transactions on actual focus groups, you would realise this. It's enough now EA, you have to stop, you are singlehandedly destroying the Gaming Licence for Star Wars and taking the fun and passion out of gaming in general. Expand

"GIMMIE YO FUKIN MONEY BIATCH" EA screamed at me, froth foaming from it's mouth, knife pointed at my heart. Its pockets were overflowing from cash already, no doubt from other hapless victims.

Slowly and carefully I handed over my wallet, making sure to make no sudden moves. EA opened it, sneering at me.

"THERE'S ONLY $60 IN HERE?!" Its eyes bulged, veins popping in rage.

"That's all I got.... sorry EA"

EA then repeatedly stabbed me, again and again. I tried to cry out, to beg for help, but noone could hear me. I watched passers by ignore my pleas, but they ignored me.

I could feel my life draining from body, as my vision grew dim. A vision of the actions of my past flashed before me. Just before I passed from this world into the next, I felt a presence beside me ear. EA had bent down to whisper one final thing to me before I parted from my mortal shell

"... the intent was to provide you wish a sense of pride and accomplishment"

Lootcrates are form of gambling. Sometimes you win what you want and sometimes you don't win what you want. That's gambling isn't it. EA wants us to gamble to win in Battlefront 2

The very embodiment of Pay to win itself. EA has truly suffered from this game - not only will features be locked behind a paywall, but we also won't be falling into the trap of paying for them.
I hope you're happy. EA - it's in the Pay.

Spanning all 3 eras, there is no shortage of content. EA and DICE listened to fan feedback and gave us a great game. Microtransactions are such a small part of every and are no reason to trash something that was clearly well made. I for one will continue to play the game and enjoy it. Expand

The only "sense of accomplishment" Battlefront fans will get from this game is in the form of pride in the **** they've created against one of the worst implementations of micro transactions in a AAA, full price game ever. As consumers an a capitalistic society it is everyone's duty not to support devs who ruin the games we love for profit.

EA seems determined to destroy all games and franchises with their greedy corporate practices. Gamers are happy to give them their hard earned money if they just give them what they want. Unfortunately while we still have morons out there pre-ordering games I am not sure this will change. If you pre-order games please take a good long hard look at yourself.

    Lootboxes are gambling.

The developers said in a reddit AMA that getting currency through the single player Arcade version is manipulative but buying currency is ok.

Paying for power is what loot boxes in this game are.

That is the definition of pay to win.

Locking tons of content behind a grindy paywall is something you would expect from a scummy free to play game, not a $60 AAA experience. EA's greed has killed a better than average game.

It's a shame that we waited so long for a game that is a shell of the original. It's a pay to win Mobil game that is being sold as a full price game.

It either takes thousands of hours or thousands of dollars to unlock the most useful items.

Maybe someday we will get a proper battlefront 2, but it's not this current game.

Pay2Win can kiss my @ss. This would be an amazing game if the publishers didn't push features like lootboxes. The lootbox system in this game is literal gambling. So if EA and Disney want to connect Star Wars titles to gambling, that's their decision but its a decision that sucks.

Star Wars Battlefront II provides a greater ambition than the previous installment. It has powerful war scenes, a brand new single player mode, and shows a much more magnificent Star Wars Universe. But just like the Jedi should be ware of the dark side of the Force, this game also meets some similar situations, such as beleaguered microtransaction elements and character growth problems. The first 10 hours of this game is full of surprises; however, the further you play this game, the more disappointed you will get.
