    Slightly better than it was but just because they got caught and changed this time doesnt mean we aren't going to get the same thing with star wars battlefront 3 (If they were smart they would just remaster the original battlefront 2)

    Amazing game! The devs worked incredibly hard to improve the game from its terrible start, and now it is now the most complete battlefront experience created! Lots of maps, nearly all important content available offline, lots of characters, heros, gamemodes, an ok campaign. A great game altogether. Wish the bugs were patched though.

    Its the best Star Wars game existing. It deserves a way better rating. Sure it misses legendary characters like Ahsoka and Padme and needs some fixes and tweaks but its definitly not as bad as the rating shows. It improved very much since launch and got rid of its biggest minus points thanks to the developer team. It deserves more content updates.

    This game is very good. sure in the beginning it was overlooked because of the lootbox controversy. But since then the developers at DICE really worked their skins off too revive the game and even if it's sad they didn't get in everything i wanted like ashoka, coruscant among others It went from a mess at launch to become one of the best shooters out there. If you have a chance go give it a try.

    EA corrected their mistakes, though late. Removed all donat altogether. The game began to live, a lot of content and a lot of updates. The graphics are excellent for 2017, although it is now 2020. Unfortunately, the game is no longer supported. It is sad that Ahsoku Tano was not added to Battlefront 2, although there were hints of this.

    Hoy en día, disfruto mucho el juego, ya que eliminaron casi en su totalidad, las micro transacciones. Me gusta mucho los diseños de los personajes, ya que son exactamente iguales al de las películas (excepto Harrison Ford como Han Solo), también las subidas de niveles de los personajes es entretenido y puedes introducirles multiplicadores para que sean un poco más fuertes.
    La historia no me gustó para nada, la introducción del personaje Iden Versio, fue completamente innecesaria, me hubiera conformado con que sea solo multijugador como Overwatch. El multijugador es completamente entretenido y lo disfrutas demasiado (por lo menos en mi caso), puedes elegir entre las facciones que fueron apareciendo a lo largo de las películas desde los separatistas hasta la primera orden, tiene modo cooperativo para jugar con tus amigos.
    El ganar experiencia y subir de nivel es, relativamente, fácil pero el ganar dinero, para comprarle accesorios a tus héroes, puede ser complicado pero posible.
    Disfrute mucho el multijugador más que la historia, por lo que recomiendo jugarlo en algún momento y, si no eres fan de Star Wars o no lo conoces, este definitivamente sería una buena introducción a su universo.    … Expand

    Игра шикарна в плане графики. Но Данат всё портит. Да кейсов больше нет но остались кристаллы. Из за всего этого появился диз баланс.

    Очень хочу чтобы в 3 части Даната не было но это не возможно. Жаль.

    Original Review: I will never buy a digital game months in advance again. Battlefront 2 was my most anticipated game for this year and after dumping 30 hours into it since Tuesday I can confidently say I want my $60 back. It's sad that a game released in 2017 has less appeal and content then the game it was based on that released in 2005. I can tell that a lot of love went into the game but unfortunately shoddy business tactics ruin the entire experience. I'm done with these "freemium" $60 games developers keep shoving down our throats, I make my stand here and I will no longer tolerate this deplorable market of filth. EA and DICE, don't try to tell us microtransactions are optional and then lock the game behind hundreds if not thousands of hours of gameplay if a person doesn't want to pay. Games ARE optional, nobody has to play your game. There are tons of great games on the market RIGHT NOW that are cheaper and don't nickle and dime us with petty paywall nonsense. Hopefully this game crashes and burns, I'd be surprised if it holds its $60 pricemark for 2 months.

    Maybe this game was incomplete in its launch, but now, with all its free DLCs, game modes and of course The Clone Wars and Prequels, its one of the best online shooter games.

    This game has done a COMPLETE U-turn. Dice & EA have plunged TONS of free content into the game and almost revamped the entire multiplayer. It's had a huge resurgence in players and the entire community and playerbase is overwhelmingly positive.

    This game is fantastic, the sheer amount of maps, heroes, game modes and satisfying multiplayer action - this game does NOT deserve the review    This game has done a COMPLETE U-turn. Dice & EA have plunged TONS of free content into the game and almost revamped the entire multiplayer. It's had a huge resurgence in players and the entire community and playerbase is overwhelmingly positive.

    This game is fantastic, the sheer amount of maps, heroes, game modes and satisfying multiplayer action - this game does NOT deserve the review bombs it currently has from a skewed view of the fanbase from launch.

I keep coming back to this and there’s just so much to do in this game! Well invested money since you get so much out of it. Dice and EA keeps surprising us with awesome new expansions, new characters, maps, modes and more (totally free)! And with the new BB8 as aA MULTIPLAYER MASTERPIECE. This game is my #1 favorite game. So much has happened since the launch and it’s a whole new game. I keep coming back to this and there’s just so much to do in this game! Well invested money since you get so much out of it. Dice and EA keeps surprising us with awesome new expansions, new characters, maps, modes and more (totally free)! And with the new BB8 as a hero (and it magically works!?) things are only getting better and better... Now the tropical planet Scariff is coming to Battlefront II.     O jogo de 2017 mudou muito para 2020, não posso dizer que é o mesmo jogo. A jogabilidade está excelente, mapas que lembram aos filmes e bem divertidos de jogar, a variedade de modos é bem legal e lógico existe os cosméticos, porém são acessíveis ( não precisando gastar com dinheiro de verdade).

    Battelfront 2 has redeemed itself over the past year. They've worked hard to include so much content and variety that makes gameplay interesting and fun. Nothing quiet like this out there. Thanks Dice.....and EA.

Можливо на релізі і були якісь проблеми але їх давно вже вирішили і крім цього dice підтримує гру більше двох років випускаючи кожний місяць абсолютно БЕЗКОШТОВНІ dlc. Більше б таких розробників!!!!!Чудова гра!!!! Граю вже в неї більше року і не розумію звідки такі оцінки. Все это, конечно, круто, но в последнее время появилась одна большая проблема, которая кроет все плюсы данной игры. Это проблема - пинг. А самое главное, что это вряд-ли проблема с интернетом, такое я встречаю очень часто в последнее время. Даже в чате иногда люди жалуются на крайне большой пинг.

    Как я сказал ранее, ЭТО теперь почти не играбельно. Бывают, конечно, редкие моменты, когда поиграть можно, они доставляют кайфа, но таких промежутков очень и очень мало. Радует, что хотя-бы остальные параметры держаться на высокой отметке (кроме баланса, тут вообще отдельный разговор). Радует также, что не у всех сильно распространена эта проблема. Still think the 2005 one is the best as it does: Galactic conquest, hunt and the campaign superiorly to 2017. Has a boring a bland campaign. Some offline content.     You STILL cannot select the map, era, or even side, you want to play. Which is especially a problem with one of the two main game modes. And in general just a giant nuisance. Wanna play a quick round of Galactic Assault? Well here's the map you hate three times in a row. Plus, it can take a while for a newcomer to see all maps(not that it matters since you cannot pick anyway...)

    One of the two "main" modes, Capital Supremacy, only has 5 maps so far and is locked to prequel era only(with sequel era and 3 maps coming January, but no word on original era.) Also due to it's design, rounds can take forever to finish, up to a point where some dont want to play anymore.

    The other, Galactic Assault(13 maps, all eras) is solely objective based, and since you have no say in what is gonna be played, you might end up playing maps or missions you hate and don't want to play(and being forced to play it for the 234th time doesn't make it better Dice...) Doesn't help that some maps are just not balanced and one team will generally steamroll another in certain scenarios every time.

    They may have removed MTX, but there's still an unnecessary and lengthy grind to unlock equipment.

    Still quite buggy and glitchy. People say the bugs "are being fixed." But bugs are always being fixed - up to the point where they arent anymore. I wish the community would talk about what has been fixed, rather than pretending that everything *will* be at one point.

    And if you think, hey at this price it might be good for offline against bots at least. No it won't because most content is locked behind multiplayer only. You have no access to Galactic Assault for example. Starfighter Assault doesn't have objectives, and CS only the first phase of maps. Not even co-op is included, despite it being against AI anyway. But you get an arcade mode in which you simply kill enemies spawning in all corners...

    The "main" modes, actually feel more like Star Wars theme park rides than a game, in how the game decides what I'm going to do, instead of actually having a choice.
    It's honestly no surprise that Heroes vs Villains and Starfighter Assault are the modes that the community likes the most. These are more side modes, but are the ones that are actually what they're supposed to be and solid(except for balancing issues.)

    I think another problem is though, that it just doesn't stand out much in today's hero and team shooters. It feels like an ok multiplayer shooter with obligatory XP and unlocks, skins, etc. that'll be forgotten once the next one is coming around the corner, because that one's gonna have exactly the same things. If you haven't played this game, but played others of it's kind then you have played this already.

    I'm not saying the game isn't in a better state than it was at launch. But I feel that the notion "it is great" is vastly overselling things.

    And I cannot overstate how much of a **** decision it was to not have us pick maps. I haven't seen Mos Eisley in a whole week, despite it being my favorite map... Thanks DICE!    … Expand

И вот после выхода крутого сериала по ЗВ Мандалорец и 9 эпизода в кино, я загорелся желанием вернуться в игру. За эти почти полгода что меня небыло в игре переработали механику дуэлей, добавили много контента и это не может не радовать, еслиОбновляю свой отзыв, так как игра преобразилась! Покупал я ее в мае 2018 года за где 2 тысячи, играл на протяжении года и летом 2019, перестал играть. Что до батлфронта считаю отличным приобретением онлайн есть контента куча, сотни, если не тысячи часов игра вам обеспечит как обеспечила мне… Expand

    A great redemption after 1 year ! This game have now a lot of content because the devs listen the community.

    The least they could do is make their product good (after gobbling our money) They also, forgoed bringing in the clone war DLC and in lieu, they are shoving down the scummy 25$ cosmetic crap and calling it a legacy... Abysmal single player 2.) copy pasta of a game: essentially BF2 is battlefield 1 with space wizards and space guns

    Completely different game from launch, loot boxes completely removed, micro transactions are cosmetic only and not in your face, free content that will continue into the future and developers that care are passionate about the game they have made and frequently engage with the community. This has become one of my favourite games and I am would recommend that you should purchase it.

    The graphics and game play is top notch, and after Dice has taken away loot boxes and made it that you can only pay for appearances has this game taken a turn to the better! Now it's good and not bad!

    started very weak, I hated it back then, but got an complete overhaul. one of the best star wars games I've ever played.
    Overwhelming battles and pure Star Wars feeling.

    Thanks DICE for their hard and cool work. Game just changed like in fairy tales! Balance, progression system, and added more content. Yeah, game still having a some problems, but comparing it to the 2017 model, one just cannot help but be amazed at so many changes. Thanks for all DICE, and EA for listening and getting a kick from Disney started work on remaking the game

    Battlefront II is a different game than launch day. The DLC has changed the whole game. ranging from characters and the modes. The Campaign is lackluster. But you call still tell EA still has there dirty hand. But you can tell that they were holding back a lot of the content back. I like this game. But this game has a lot Skeleton in the closet

    Star Wars Battlefront 2. A game with a pretty decent campaign and overall good gameplay that is instantly ruined by micro transactions. Lootcrates that lead directly to pay 2 win schemes in a premium $60 games.

    Stay away from this game.

    The game had a really rough star but since release I have max ranked the game on both consoles and if you was to play the game now it feels like a entirely different game. So many Maps and Heroes and Units not to mention game modes have been added since release and all for FREE not a lootbox in sight either!     This game has improved over time but sadly the damage was already done when they put in pay to win loot boxes at launch.

    This game is fun to drop in every few months or so to see the new content but sadly the player base is quite low when I drop in. The game though still feels like the better your star cards you have the easier it is to win, which is at times very frustrating.     all that been said, i can say i had a lot of fun playing this. my favourit part, campaing, was pretty satisfactory. Ok, the AI is terrible from both sides, friend and foe. And the story makes no sense at all from any perspective. not to mention the fact that ths campaign will take you like 4 hours to finish, and the ressurection dlc may take like 30min. it's stupid, but ok, i guess i've been far from star wars for so long that that i just really miss it, to be involved in some way with a Sw related thing. and the storytelling design was really exciting. before playing it i actually thought it would be another i-dont-care game, about a who-is-this-person soldier, doing some who-gives-a-damn missions, but it was really involving. sometimes yu play as Iden on foot, other times on space ships, than you play with some classic heroes, etc, perfectly mixed, nothing seems too much nor too little. i was really happy with that, even with this 3 skills thing wich is so lame and boring. specially for lightsaber heroes.
    what makes me think once more, why the f*ck EA games, an almost quadruple A studio, joined with freaking DISNEY for duck's sake, having unlimited money, how can they not ever, do a really incredible star wars game??? like let me freaking use a well designed lightsaber wielder against a real army, or use a real triple A vehicule in the middle of war. damn, there are much smaller companies, with much less hyped plots, allowing players to feel the real UNLIMITED POwA in other franchises. that kind of stuff really makes me angry.
    but okay, the game is no Gem, but i never expected it to be tbh, but its fun. real fun. and its beautiful. damn, these graphics are cool AF, the level design is so immersive, i really felt like i was part of the star wars lore just looking around. specially the spaceships maps, goddamn they are cool. millions of thins happenning at the same time, and explosions, and big ass ships, and little ships and lasers.
    but really, graphics aside, it just does not feel like nextgen to me. everything here except the story mode we on battlefront II on PS2. even less so, actually. people were more creative back then? i guess less lazy is more accurate, right? on pS2 12 years earlier TwELVE YEARS, we got to play creative stuff like ewoks vs stormtroopers, or republic vs geonosians. that **** was fun., talking about the 2005 battlefront 2, the 12 years old game, it actually had so much more content and with the huge plus of having zero microtransaction, or full price half lenght DLC.
    whatever, they managed to put an ok game together here, but it just really dont deserve more than a 5 for me
    I am hoping (but not hyping) that this next lighsaber based game will be finally a really good one, but my expectations are not higher than a paper plane    … Expand

    One thing is the addition of my favorite season the Clone Wars. which added Obi-Wan/Grievous/Dooku/Anakin and even the clone commando! along with others of course. The addition of capital supremacy was amazing. Honestly I think its better than the original and that's coming from a guy who creamed over that game. Now the only thing I have against the game right now would be the story. Yeah kinda lack luster protagonist and we all wish that they could just re-create the old battlefront story but that isn't possible due to Disney annexing it from cannon.
    Please if you ever get the chance, re-play the game with all the updates and you won't be as disappointed as you were 2 years ago.    … Expand

    Single missions are poorly structured, characters are very simple and you won't get a convincing story from this game. But it's still Star Wars and you will meet plenty of well-known characters, you will see a few interesting    My review is mostly for a single player campaign. These include new maps and characters to use in competitive game modes,improved UI and an expansion (of about 3 missions) to the campaign mode.All this and even more to come,including features from the original Battlefront 2 released around a decade and a half ago.The game will have finally surpassed its predecessors,2 years into its release. There are some glaring issues though: a buggy campaign with dreadful AI,redeemed partially by some fairly interesting characters and set-pieces. Most problematic of all are the predatory 'lootbox' mechanics that have since been removed but have tarnished this games reputation; this has become an expectation of games released by EA and so its up to personal perspective whether buying this game is feeding the culture of underhanded business practices in triple A games.

    My final verdict is that this games competitive game modes in both multiplayer and single-player are amazing,especially with the regular free updates but the campaign is downright broken and also there is the question of whether making a game better than its 15 year old predecessor 2 years into its lifespan is a practice you want to support.Its worth considering, that not only did this progress take 2 years but it may not have happened without people making in-game purchases at the rate they did in 2017. Had they implemented the same predatory systems but to a smaller degree, as other games do regularly, would they have still given fans all the new free content?    … Expand

    I joined Bf2 after the loot boxes were removed so never witnessed that controversy. The game has gone from strength to strength over the past year and is a total joy to play.

    Game had a rough start but the game has had so much support in the last year and a half! New heroes, new reinforcements, new vehicles, new game modes, new maps, and soon new planets! This has to be one of the best comebacks in gaming history. The dev team has done so much for this game and the community. Definitely give it another try if you haven't already

    Star Wars Battlefront II is the game every Star Wars fan has to play. No matter if you prefer to play as the Millennium Falcon and the iconic ships, or as Darth Vader; or even as clone of the Republic. This game has it all.
    The amount of content it has is woth the price. Test it.

    Star Wars Battlefront II has a variety of fun game modes and heroes, which span different Star Wars eras. The game has been drastically improved with a good progression system and often released free new content. The game has no pay to win elements and all microtransactions are for cosmetics.

    DICE sure has shown us how to make a great comeback with a game which was destroyed by public opinion at launch. With no loot boxes anymore and tons of content added since then (Clone Wars heroes, skins, maps, reinforcements, droidekas, DROIDEKAS), it feels another game. If you are a Star Wars fan, there's no reason why you shouldn't have it.

    I got this from a shop thinking that it was a videogame. It cost money, albeit rather discounted and came on a disk like PS4 games do. It turned out to be a series of faded out menus that ask for money. That is the "game" asks for money so that you can play it after you have bought it. There were two maps that allowed me to play without paying further and at some point i managed to play a different one due to some kind of a so called 'promotion'. I was allowed to play as some dull star wars characters but the option was given to pay money to be allowed to play as popular characters from the movies. I was unwilling to pay for this feature as I had already purchased the game. I feel scammed by this misleading and greedy shell of a game. Do not buy this!… Expand

    Geez. This game has so much potential. On it's own there is a lot to like about this game, a roster of favorite characters awesome flying segments and an overall design that feels like star wars. Too bad EA made this.

    The single factor that mars the experience so much in this game is the progression, or lack thereof. It's simply perplexing that DICE, a company that has developed games with near-perfect progression systems (followed by monetized progression systems that STILL felt rewarding) could botch it up this bad. You are not rewarded for your style of play but rather for your time spent playing. As a result you never feel in control of what you can unlock and the timing of rewards feel anticlimactic and boring.

    This is a problem shared by DICE's previous game, Battlefield 1. Which brings us to Battlefront 2's second-biggest flaw: the meaninglessness of classes and team co-operation. Whereas BF1 failed in progression but mostly maintained the fun of choosing a loadout to maximize your potential and in turn your team's chances of winning, BF2 feels empty and pointless. No one seems to want to work with even one person on their team, and who can blame them when there is no incentive to do so? The way points are awarded at the end of the match seemed cruelly geared to discourage any heroics or even effort.

    These two factors combine to rob Battlefront 2 of any merit. In the short term the gameplay is meaningless even if pretty to look at. In the long term everything feels like a grind and rewards seem to come too late or unexpectedly early.

    Oh, and the campaign is really short and really dumb.

    Stay away from this stink pile unless you find it for like $5, it will bore you after 3 hours.    … Expand

    Star Wars Battlefront II provides a greater ambition than the previous installment. It has powerful war scenes, a brand new single player mode, and shows a much more magnificent Star Wars Universe. But just like the Jedi should be ware of the dark side of the Force, this game also meets some similar situations, such as beleaguered microtransaction elements and character growth problems. The first 10 hours of this game is full of surprises; however, the further you play this game, the more disappointed you will get.
