    Maybe this game was incomplete in its launch, but now, with all its free DLCs, game modes and of course The Clone Wars and Prequels, its one of the best online shooter games.

    The Game ist much better noww than at Release. All the People voting Negative dont even play the Game at its current state. There are a lot of great classes the hero pool is pretty big and the maps are visually stunning. This game is a must buy considering you can get it for 10 bucks on keyseller sites.

    Game had a rough start but the game has had so much support in the last year and a half! New heroes, new reinforcements, new vehicles, new game modes, new maps, and soon new planets! This has to be one of the best comebacks in gaming history. The dev team has done so much for this game and the community. Definitely give it another try if you haven't already

    I joined Bf2 after the loot boxes were removed so never witnessed that controversy. The game has gone from strength to strength over the past year and is a total joy to play.

    Game has completely changed. No loot boxes, and the only thing you can spend money on is skins. Definitely would recommend it to any star wars lover.

    After 2 years since it's release battlefront 2 had finally became the game it should have been from the start... Free from micro transaction, full of content and constantly updated and supported by DICE, battlefron 2 is one of the best star wars game ever made

    A MULTIPLAYER MASTERPIECE. This game is my #1 favorite game. So much has happened since the launch and it’s a whole new game. I keep coming back to this and there’s just so much to do in this game! Well invested money since you get so much out of it. Dice and EA keeps surprising us with awesome new expansions, new characters, maps, modes and more (totally free)! And with the new BB8 as aA MULTIPLAYER MASTERPIECE. This game is my #1 favorite game. So much has happened since the launch and it’s a whole new game. I keep coming back to this and there’s just so much to do in this game! Well invested money since you get so much out of it. Dice and EA keeps surprising us with awesome new expansions, new characters, maps, modes and more (totally free)!     Completely different game from launch, loot boxes completely removed, micro transactions are cosmetic only and not in your face, free content that will continue into the future and developers that care are passionate about the game they have made and frequently engage with the community. This has become one of my favourite games and I am would recommend that you should purchase it.

    O jogo de 2017 mudou muito para 2020, não posso dizer que é o mesmo jogo. A jogabilidade está excelente, mapas que lembram aos filmes e bem divertidos de jogar, a variedade de modos é bem legal e lógico existe os cosméticos, porém são acessíveis ( não precisando gastar com dinheiro de verdade).

    EA corrected their mistakes, though late. Removed all donat altogether. The game began to live, a lot of content and a lot of updates. The graphics are excellent for 2017, although it is now 2020. Unfortunately, the game is no longer supported. It is sad that Ahsoku Tano was not added to Battlefront 2, although there were hints of this.

    The greatest redemption story in recent video gaming memory. While EA surely does not deserve praise for how they handled micro-transactions at the beginning of this games' lifespan, DICE did a fantastic job supporting this game until EA pulled the plug.

    Sure, there are imbalances and content that could be added in the future, but the game is just wonderful in it's current state.

    Now in 2020 the game is really great there are no lootboxes anymore (only for cosmetics) and the game is very balanced and you have a lot of fun as a star wars fan. The bonus is the great story

    I only played this on 2020 and simply LOVED IT!
    I read that the micro transactions was a huge issue in the past (and I agree that it's a no way path to go). But since I just played it without the Pay to Win part and with all heroes available it was great.
    This is a vey enjoyable game that allows Star Wars fans to live the life of galactic wars not only as troopers, but also as heroes.

    It may have had its controversy. But now it is one of my favorite games to play. The star card upgrade system is fair, loot boxes were completely removed and the gameplay is rock solid. It is so sad that support for the game ended a couple years ago. Especially since Ashoka and Padme were the next heroes to come out. That aside, it is so much fun to play. And is my favorite shooter, IIt may have had its controversy. But now it is one of my favorite games to play.     All this talk of loot is getting out of hand. The idea of loot boxes etc etc is basically the same as Overwatch etc etc so dont let that affect the games. The game itself is brilliant fun and pushes the original to even higher platforms

EA did create problems with this game with bad bugs and no stats, but the loot box system isn't that bad. Only thing you can buy with real money is cosmetics. Except for that it is pretty fun with many diverse game modes and excellent visuals and sound

Last but not least, Star Wars Battlefront 2 is very fun, one of my favourite shooters and has been for the last year or so. Heroes vs Villains is another big deal as its always exciting and feels intimate, if thats something that you prefer.… Expand

    Like many people, I am enjoying this game tremendously. The last patch fixed my rubber banding issues, the visuals, audio and mechanics are amazing. Thank you for the free DLC, keep it coming! Great work Dice, Motive and EA.

I like the idea of working towards something rather than being handed everything... maybe that's my generation talking though. Heaven forbid anyone have to EARN anything in game. The game isn't bad at all and plays rather nicely compared to other titles that haveTalk about first world problems...     As much as I hate EA this games shocked me. If the gambling was not removed this would get a 5. The game has improved so much since the beta. It will never be as good as its predecessor but I deem it worthy of the line of my favourite Star Wars game (other than the force unleashed).

    As far as progression goes.... it's not as bad as people would have you believe. You really don't need to buy crates since all the good stuff (heroes and weapons) need to be unlocked by playing the game. The advantage gained through loot crates is not that big and if you are even a half descent player you will not need them in order to win.
    You should be able to unlock one hero during one evening (aprox. 3 to 4 hours) of play.
    Some of the Hut Contracts in SWBF1 took as much time to complete.

    The reward for playing a game is rather low (220 credits for a round of Blast) and would be nicer if the reward was linked to the players performance.
    But then again.... a round of blast is usually over in a couple of minutes.
    Add to that the extra credits you get from completing challenges and you will see that the progression system is not to bad at all.
    Not to mention that all the DLC will be free, a bucket load of which will be released in December along with the new movie (including another story line for SP).
    Me thinks this game is a good deal.

There's HUGE maps and numbers of players, not you can play as small as 8 vs 8, 10 vs 10, or even just 4v4 with the best characters in the game. There's also epic space battles with vehicles.

    Since the Day 1 change to loot you can buy heroes and villains at decently affordable prices now. Just playing and completing challenges will get you the most expensive character after just a few hours of multiplayer. However, getting all the perks of each character is luck of the loot crate draw. The only thing I don't like about this system is that you can't upgrade your cards using crafting parts until you get a ton of cards for that particular character. This will take a while and it makes you choose between opening crates and unlocking heroes or villains for the first dozen hours or so, which stinks.

    Overall though the multiplayer modes are a lot of fun, which is where the bread and butter is for this game. Arcade is also great and I LOVE that there's split screen capabilities. Just having a lightsaber battle with your buddy sitting on the couch next to you is worth trying this game. It hard to argue against the gameplay and the diversity of multiplayer modes.    … Expand

    A credits are very easy to optain if you are a good player.

    All the rat kid are crying because mom and dad don't gives you money to buy loot boxes and start to guive 0 or 1 calification to the game.

    I've spent about 10 - 11 hours playing the multiplayer game and really enjoyed it allot. The graphics look great (PS4) and the game play kept me interested for a few hours at a time. This is a much more in depth game than the previous Battlefront. Not going to get into the loot boxes at this time.

    Well, it's really cool and entertaining, every battle (on ground or in space) looks like movie, the campaing extends sw univerce and tells us a soulful story of average soldiers.

The multiplayer is great the weapons don't feel like a copy and paste of each other with a couple values switched, Galactic Assault is a very fun objective mode where the attackers like on Theed starts with the Separatist trying to get their MTT to the palace entrance to invade and take control of Naboo. Then if the Separatist succeed on making it to the palace gates the Republic has to defend certain points to protect the throne room, then the last stage protecting the throne room with a capture area objective. With my experience the star cards on trooper gameplay it didn't really matter what your cards where everyone was basically on a even playing field it didn't notice any real advantage of high powered star cards while playing as the ground troops I killed them as much or more than them even if they had better star cards. Starfighter Assault is where the star cards need a complete rework, the star cards in Star Fighter Assault change it way too much. The star cards can change the speed of the ship, the rate of fire of the guns, In my opinion in Star Fighter needs a rework of the star cards to not me so overpowered… Expand

    While the microtransactions are not great, for me they don't ruin what is an incredible Star Wars game. It has the perfect Star Wars feel and the gameplay is simply amazing. I look forward to the changes that the team will implement to improve the microtransaction problems but I will continue to enjoy the game regardless as I feel it does justice to the world of Star Wars.

    Initially it may seem you are not making much progress, but you do get a steady amount of crafting points that you can use to unlock abilities (star cards), there are side challenges that will give you rewards and as you open more and more box, they get cheaper since you will get duplicates (that are converted into credits).

    Tip: I would recommend just opening up the hero creates box at first since you can open two for about the same cost of the trooper create. This will give you more crafting parts and a good chance to get a trooper card anyways.

    Graphics/Map 10, Absolutely amazing, the attention to detail to all the vehicles, ships, troops. Some maps are huge and look like they were recreated from actual sets from the movie.
    Sound/Music 10, Great sound effects, when the Heroes spawn you hear their theme sound, they will say lines from the movies, to small things like: droid army funny little sayings, to Boba Fett ship’s bomb sound from the prequel movie.
    Performance 9.5, Playing the standard PS4 the game very very infrequently freezes for a split second, but considering every thing that are happening in the battles with 40 players this game runs extremely smoothly.
    Fun 9, The class system works really well allowing you to play specific roles and builds, you gain battle points that you can use to spawn in as one of large number of reinforcements / heroes. Space combat being skill based is challenging at first but satisfyingly. You do die very easy which can be a little frustrating, specially stating out. For an average skill player it can be difficult to get to play the hero, due to the fact the better players can build up battle points faster and get the hero first.
    Value 10, After playing for over 48 hrs I still haven’t tried every game type, vehicles/ships and hero. About half the heroes are unlock initially (requiring unlocking the rest with ingame credits). This game is a great value, considering that also there is a single player campaign, offline arcade mode and all future content is free.

    EDIT:
    Campaign 7, I finished playing the campaign mode. I enjoyed the visuals and most of the missions, but some missions seem short and lackluster. The story jumps through different periods of time and felt to me disjointed but not overly bad. Likable characters, get to play as some of the iconic heroes. The development of the main character story seems linear. BIG issue with the the campaign is that it is short (for me it was ~6hrs). Also too easy on the recommended difficulty (recommend playing on the TOP difficulty level).    … Expand

    Multiplayer (I've basically only been playing starfighters):
    -Didn't at all feel like I was outmatched at any time, individuals have a chance to turn the tide of battle and make a difference
    -Class system being included is pretty awesome
    -Hero ships are attainable, I get one every other battle on average

    In General:
    -Tons of fun, first Star Wars game in a while to capture the feeling of the franchise
    -Credit cap on Arcade mode is a little ridiculous
    -Contrary to public soapboxing, credits are abundant and easy to earn (mostly through the achievements) but I wish the balance was skewed a little more towards earning credits from matches

    Multiplayer is a great experience as you will be able to take part in massive ground and space battles across loads of iconic locations in the Star Wars universe.

    A couple of issues i have with the game is that most of the maps and heroes come from the original trilogy. e.g there are 8 ot heroes and 2 heroes each for the Prequels and the sequels. considering that the last game was just the original trilogy i would have liked to have seen a lot more new content. The other issue i have is that considering that the only way to get star cards is through loot crates you are going to need the buy a lot of them to unlock every thing. The problem here is that trooper crates cost 4000 credits and on average you will make about 300 credits in a 11 minute long match. So at the moment you are going to need to put in thousands of hours to unlock all the star cards which is stupid. i hope that in the coming months DICE will fix this issue by increasing the amount of credits you earn per match. Overall Star Wars battlefront 2 is an amazing game with a few minor problems at launch but will hopefully be fixed in the future.    … Expand

I think the game play is great, i love the controls and game modes, the thing i don't like is that the heroes are locked and the amount of credits you get for playing a round is like 300 credits and the heroes are 10,000-15,000.

Unless of course this hating of a mega corporation trying to make a profit is an honest political statement, in which case I stand in awe of the socialist revolution in the makings here.     But seriously, I am having a blast playing this game. Graphics, controls and gameplay are excellent. The amount of detail put in the maps is beyond anything I have ever seen, from civilians rushing to take cover, to wildlife caught in the crossfire, it is truly exceptional. Only complaint I have is the long grind required to advance. If only I could spend real money to, say, buy loot boxes straight away instead of putting in the long hours required, that would be fantastic.     First: if you like something about the game you can't give it a 0, that's impossible. I understand ppl are annoyed about loot boxes ,I am too but give ea some slack

    I have played star wars battlefront 2 for 48 hours + and i like some parts of the game. arcade are fun and I liked the campaign.     Seriously, I know the bad scoring is a way of boycotting the loot crate system, but this option is off now, hopefully will not come back in such a bad way. Apart from that, the game is great - I have a lot of fun playing it anyway. 9 is a credit of trust for free DLC's and fingers crossed loot boxes will be reworked in a way that won't affect game balance much.

    Star Wars Battlefront II provides a greater ambition than the previous installment. It has powerful war scenes, a brand new single player mode, and shows a much more magnificent Star Wars Universe. But just like the Jedi should be ware of the dark side of the Force, this game also meets some similar situations, such as beleaguered microtransaction elements and character growth problems. The first 10 hours of this game is full of surprises; however, the further you play this game, the more disappointed you will get.
