    If you love dark souls you'll love this. Thought it wouldn't be my cup of tea cuz it was samurais instead of knights but that giant snake changed my mind.

    Highly recommend this game. This game is like riddle and rhythm game, you might die a lot but if you get the hang of it and just play it calmly and relax it will be a great experience especially to those who play like other souls game (even though i never had any experience playing any other soul games).

    Had a good time. Make sure to note down the dialogue cause you might miss the story in between large fights. I liked the dragon fight (spoilers) the most. Mercury counter is super op!

    I adore this games combat personally over all the souls games i would give the combat a 10/10 but the terror mechanic reminds me this is a FromSoft game. Not a bad thing of course :)

    One of the greatest games i've ever played insanely hard to learn but very rewarding and fun. if your thinking about getting it get it. I originally chose the "wrong ending" which ends your game a few hours short and makes you miss out on one of the best parts of the game but I chose to just replay and go for the new ending just because this game is so fun.

    Really fun game with a great combat system. The learning curve is rather steep. I almost considered dropping the game, thinking it just wasn't for me, until suddenly it just "clicked". It can take some time to get there, but it's worth it. The final boss is really quite memorable.

    i'm just huge fan of Parry-Like game, this is the GOAT, and it's seem i can't find any game with better parry mechanics than this, Sekiro is extremely addictive with me. If you want to find another game with this Smooth and Parry/Dodge Mechanic, i can recommend the Metal Gears Rising, but the Smooth and Timings ? Like i said, no game except Sekiro, this game is a masterpiece level of Parryi'm just huge fan of Parry-Like game, this is the GOAT, and it's seem i can't find any game with better parry mechanics than this, Sekiro is extremely addictive with me.     It's just amazing, loved the bosses and all the endings. The combat was quite iffy at first but after getting used to it, it felt pretty good; The story is definitely my favorite part as compared to dark souls it's more in-your-face and you don't have to watch videos to understand what's going on.

    Back in the days when I didn’t like the souls game but first when I tried bloodborne then dark souls 3 the frustration to kill a single boss and the satisfaction you receive after killing it. In Sekiro I didn’t encounter too many bosses only 3 now, but the game is good with its level of difficulty, I am really satisfied looking forward to more boss fights.     Its an amazing game, if you are keen into fighting bosses this is for you. It may have rage quits moments and feel that its unbeatable but the gameplay, graphics are truly an art. Even though i'm stuck at the boss stage before the new world i still high recommend this game.

    Well well well, the best PS4 game in my opinion. Bought it on June and took me one month to reach Isshin and beat him.

But decided to spend at least 1 hour with the game per day and all of sudden, for the last 2 week before I finish the game, I put down all    Well well well, the best PS4 game in my opinion. Bought it on June and took me one month to reach Isshin and beat him.

    Believe me, I hate the game as I keep saying that I will put the game down and forget about it as the difficulty is insanely hard. But decided to spend at least 1 hour with the game per day and all of sudden, for the last 2 week before I finish the game, I put down all my ps4 game and completely just playing Sekiro for 14 days straight.

    The reason for that is you are not levelling up your character but the game is levelling you up with each boss encounter which feel amazing. Sounds ridiculous but as I keep moving forward, it's just getting better and better. All the parry mechanic like normal parry, mikiri counter, etc is just a small example how the game successfully make you feel badass when you manage to execute it perfectly.

    Lack of customization? No big deal, I've never been a big fan of dark souls and bloodborne because of that as with Sekiro, the point is you just need to getting better learn every enemy attack pattern, sharpen your reflect and observation skills and I believe even you die a lot, you just keep coming back and said "Ok, i got it! I'll beat this monster this time"

    I'm on my 2nd play-through now and you'll just realize the fact that I just mentioned "The game is levelling you up" as I've reached and beaten Owl Ashina in only 3 hours of playing the game which it took me around 20 hours to reach him on my 1st play through and it's still took me around 20-30 tries but now it just took me 2 tries to beat him.

    CONCLUSION: Worth to try if you start to feel all games nowadays just focus on looking graphically stunning and make you feel overpower. This game is completely different and you'll not regret it (you might at the first few hours but just keep pushing and you'll know it)

    TIPS: Don't be afraid of dying, dying is part of the game as you might die to learn all the enemy tricks and attack pattern. It's common thing so don't dodge or running away, instead just keep on playing defense and learn all the attack patterns.

    Sword combat at its peak. this game has a godly combat, its very addictive, the story is also not bad. The bosses are the best in this game. Overall, highly recommended game to get.

    My first souls-like game. Just beat my first play-through. Honestly, it wasn't as difficult as I thought
    Obviously, had some difficult time trying to figure out how to fight. But it was still easy enough for a newbie to beat the final boss in 30 hours.

Getting surrounded by 10 enemies all at once who can all 3 shot you from range while the only way to kill one of them is to perform frame-perfect parry while the rest kill you anyway.     Briefly, I recommend this game to anyone who is looking for 1 good challenge, 1 good graphic art, or who simply likes Feudal Japan.    … Expand

    I was literally spellbound throughout my journey and I didn’t want it to end. I have only felt like this for a few games like BotW.     The music works ok for the game even though it’s not my favorite type of music.

    There are no builds and no traditional leveling. Skills don’t do much as such the game is very balanced. It’s you, your sword and skills.

    The game honestly doesn’t require super ridiculous quick reflexes like most claim, but it does require observation. Noticing enemy animation and knowing that one thing the enemy does comes before something else.

    The only bad negative that I can give is that the camera doesn’t play nice particularly when you are in an arena that has obstructions like poles and doors. Often times you will end up in one of these places and the camera goes berserk and you trying to find the boss, because anytime you cannot view the boss your lock on targeting turns off. Sometimes I ended up between a door and the boss with no way to see what the hell was going on and difficulty in escaping this situation. Thankfully this doesn’t happen too often, but it is rather irritating. You will die a lot in your journey but this journey will be worth it.    … Expand

Great graphics with a killer soundtrack and an interesting story. It is extremely difficult but is in no way unfair there are plenty of different ways to kill enemies and different skills to use against certain enemies. The world design is beautiful and a andSekiro is such an amazing game and it is definitely one of my favorites of all time. The combat is sooo fun and gameplay is smooth. Haven't you wanted, after beating a souls fight against the bosses again Astorias, Ornsteinn & Smough, Sir Alonne, GAEL??? In Sekiro you can (+ you unlock character skins that are sick af and new abilities). The only badHOW SEKIRO HAS AN 8.5. Personally, this is THE best FS game ever released. The mechanics, the music, the ambientation, the bosses, the post-game challenges, IT'S PERFECT. Haven't you wanted, after beating a souls fight against the bosses again Astorias, Ornsteinn & Smough, Sir Alonne, GAEL??? In Sekiro you can (+ you unlock character skins that are sick af and new abilities). The only bad thing may be it's difficulty (that difficulty is based on your skills 100%) for some players, but when you start understanding the parry and all other abilities, this game becomes a river, and you, you are JESUS. You start flowing with the bosses and you cum with every parry vs 2nd & 3rd fase Isshin.     Im a huge From fan but I have to admit putting this game down twice and almost writing it off forever. I can't explain why but on my third attempt everything seemed to click in a way it hadn't before and instead of another rage quit I got to enjoy another From Masterpiece. When youre fighting massive Bosses in the Souls series, at times it can feel very iffy when trying to roll your wayIm a huge From fan but I have to admit putting this game down twice and almost writing it off forever. I can't explain why but on my third attempt everything seemed to click in a way it hadn't before and instead of another rage quit I got to enjoy another From Masterpiece. When youre fighting massive Bosses in the Souls series, at times it can feel very iffy when trying to roll your way out of eating a 20 foot long sword with a 100 foot long swath area. Not so with Sekiro. The game can definitely be Brutal at times but there was never a moment where I died and blamed it on the game. The combat is so clean and precise that it leaves no doubt that every failure is user error. It's clear what you did wrong and you know what you need to work on. Hang in there. And if you do quit, keep it lying around where you can see it. Let it taunt you until you give it another go. It's too good to give up on entirely.… Expand

    The gameplay is my favourite GamePlay of all game in all times. An action RPG that is also a perfect and original rhythm game. The esthetic of this game is unrivaled, the lore and the environment is interesting and beautiful, the game is a great challenge especially for souls player. There are a lot of things to do and explore. There will be not many games like this in history.

The major factor might be the stamina bar which not exist in Sekiro so no more stamina management which affects the pacing of the gameplay, not a grinding game so I need to completely learn all the enemy pattern and    Best game ever, definitely my number 1 game of all time.

    Story are also wonderful which you unlock and explore about it by yourself instead of the game leads you to the storyline. So, your decision and action will one way or another affect the story.

    Gameplay is no doubt the best game I've ever played as I've defeated this game 6 times now. Repetition is quite high to get all the story endings and of course to show how much you've improved throughout your gameplay.

    In conclusion, Sekiro completely change my mind of gaming nowadays in every aspects. Thank you FromSoft for the incredible journey you've created within this game.

    I know they are making another masterpiece right now which is Elden Ring but I do hope they didn't stop here with Sekiro type of game as I completely loving it.

    I love this game. The combat in this game is the most thrilling, invigorating, and engaging combat systems I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. It doesn't feel like a fight but rather a duel with enemies.
    The bosses are well-designed, high-octane, and brutal - which is what I expect out of Fromsoftware - but they really outdid themselves in this game. Highly recommend.

    Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has a good story, great cast of characters, solid level and art design, a not so good performance on last gen consoles (30 fps with drops) and the best gameplay in the history of videogames. The combat of this game alone makes it a masterpiece.

    The simple story but with extremely charismatic characters without having to be suffocating with cutscenes or a flood of dialogues (as often happens in many modern games), incredible boss fights among the best that can be found in a video game.

    Sekiro might easily be one of the best game from Fromsoftware and the combat is so simple yet complex and the story which is understandable unlike other games and the bosses design are amazing, highly recommend you try it if you have the patience.

    One of my favourite games of all time, fromsoft takes the dark souls formula and turns into a badass anime fight style that is extremely rewarding when getting used to, in my opinion this game has not only an Interesting story and amazing levels including some of the most epic boss fights I have ever experienced, it also has possibly one of the best combats in videogame history.

    Firstly it's not a souls game. It removes character customization, class building, completely uproots and changes the combat, and still delivers something amazing. If you expected anything I listed I still think you should try this game out, just try to enter it with a different mindset of expecting another Soulslike.

    Despite not being Dark Souls, it still has that Fromsoftware challenge and difficulty. There were bosses i'd try fighting for hours before I finally beat them, but that entire time I never felt like it was unfair or unbalanced, I just felt like I needed to get better, and once you do the feeling of conquering a boss is unparallel.

    The combat system is also newly made, favoring to have you constantly in the fray parrying and counter attacking as opposed to rolling through attacks. It feels much more engaging and enjoyable, especially when you get the system down. it turns into an epic duel between two equally matched swordsman.

    The story is magnificent to. I think not having character customization helps, as it lets Fromsoftware truly make a story thats driven by the characters including your own. The tragic nature of Fromsoftwares stories really blooms here, as its less depressing on a grand scale but still invokes the sense of never being able to get the truly perfect ending. I'll go more into detail at the end to avoid any accidental click ons by people who haven't played this game yet.

    The setting and graphics are absolutely stunning. Every new area felt unique, and there were some areas that when I first entered I honestly was awestruck with how spectacular the game felt. If I could buy a plane ticket to go to Sekiro's Ashina, I would.

    About to dive into story again, so turn away if you haven't played or care about spoilers.

    The story is by far my favorite. Its less depressing on the grand scale cause the entire world hasn't shattered. You're in the lands of a Clan on its last breathe, and the motives between characters aren't fully evil. Genichiro only wants to protect his homeland and is willing to do anything to save it, Wolf wants to protect Kuro and serve him as his Shinobi, and Kuro wants to end the corruption of his divine blood. Everyone has different motives that collide, not out of a seat of evil but out of a sense of duty or twisted good-nature. Even when Ashina falls theres still a world that's alive and breathing outside, it isn't as permeant as snuffing out the flame in Dark Souls, or seeing the absolute ruined state of the world of Bloodborne. What i'm trying to say is the game feels much more alive and human, which I think helps the Fromsoft Tragedy even more.

    Initially, I tried to play this game with my usual approach: keep dodging, have patience, mind your position, and look for an opening to punish your adversary… And doing this just brought me pain, anger and frustration… I kept dying and dying and dying. I did not understand what was happening!

    Sekiro took me out of my comfort zone, and forced me to change the way I usually approach games like this… I had to be aggressive, set the tempo of the fight, and properly learn and rely on new or rarely used mechanics… And it was a wonderful experience.

    It is funny how as soon as you embrace Sekiro’s combat system, everything clicks. You really feel like a ninja, dominating parries, mikiri counters, and jumps, while also throwing yourself right in the face of bosses and dominating them… At some point you feel that is the boss the one that should be worried because you are unstoppable!

    Less flexibility is the price to pay to have such a refined combat experience. Thank you From Software for pushing the genre and bringing such unique experiences for us to enjoy.

    Have patience, learn the mechanics, and be aggressive… And you will have a wonderful time with Sekiro.    … Expand

    This was my last fromsoft game and at first I was sure I wont be able to finish it cause I spent 50+ attempts on every boss of the first half of the game. But when it clicks you start to feel urself like a superhuman after beating every ultrahard boss’s as*s. None fromsoft game can give you this feeling. Perfect balance, absolute masterpiece! P.s when u will die 10000 times - don’t quitThis was my last fromsoft game and at first I was sure I wont be able to finish it cause I spent 50+ attempts on every boss of the first half of the game.     This game has the best combat system in any games i'v played so far. even the regular enemies feel like "they know how to fight" rather than enemies with some casual attack preset, so you can't just blindly hit and run. The story and the characters are also well written and scripted. honestly speaking, I can't really find any cons, so it's a10/10 for me.

    The game was very diffrent from the other fromsoftware games witch i was a okay fan of but it was still lacking something i just didnt like i had to learn so much about everything generaly but in sekiro i dont i have the same armor same weapon same stuff other than mortal blade. the game was just such a good game for me i would recemend this game to everyone

    It is a spectacular game, it is fun and challenging, the story is very well told and you don't need to read anything to understand it, it has several endings, the gameplay is very different from Dark Souls.

    Overall, Sekiro is defined by its riveting, challenging, and ultimately highly rewarding gameplay. Stemming from simplicity but giving a wide variety of different combat options, few games come close to matching the exhilarating rush that Sekiro’s best moments provide. Exploring its atmospherically engrossing levels is a treat, from a visual, musical, and atmospheric standpoint. Even if exploration and character storylines are sometimes hampered by Dragonrot, repeatedly severing the immortality of bosses with brutal “Shinobi Executions” and discovering the ritual secrets of eternal life offers a captivating experience that stands out as one of FromSoftware’s best and most distinctive titles.

    Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is an enjoyable, yet deeply challenging game. It's not really a Dark Souls with samurais game, but whether or not you enjoyed the difficulty level of the battles in Dark Souls will be a good benchmark in gauging how much you'll like Sekiro. If you're persistent, up for a challenge, and don't become frustrated easily, then Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is an easy game to recommend.
