    I love this game, it's the best on the planet. Had a rough start but the dev's REALLY do care and they are constantly improving the game.

    This game was once a huge disaster and disappointment. But they kept developing the game until today. I've spent many hours ingame in 2020 and I absolutely love it. Thank you Hello games!

    First played this on release and really, really disliked it. Recently tried it again (after ALL the updates & patches) and man oh man am I hooked. It’s almost like a totally new game. Definitely try it again or buy it if you don’t own a copy.

    I'm very glad that Hello Games has stuck by this game and improved it so much. But they will never, and should never, live down the false advertising that resulted in people like me paying $60 for a game that was years away from having all the promised features.

    Looks good, it's fun to fly through the space but there is nothing that keeps me playing this game after 1-2 hours.

    I honestly love this game. It offers many approaches to play it, endless gameplay and really innovative components. These developers releases patches with new features for free, while nowdays most of the companies does it with paid dlcs. I don't really understand these low point and FOR WHOEVER READS THIS REVIEWS REMEMBER THAT THIS GAME IS CHANGED A LOT IN THE LAST YEARS!!
    I simply love it.

    This game is OK but it is missing too many quality of life and gameplay elements to make it excel. Even after the Beyond update, it feels like a diamond in the rough.

    O game trazia propostas ambiciosas demais para uma desenvolvedora indie,infelizmente o trailer enganou milhares de pessoas e o game foi um fiasco. Alguns aspectos ainda permanecem positivos, porém a maioria do que foi prometido no jogo não aconteceu. Jogo repetitivo e monótono,sem história envolvente.

    Edit: atualmente o game está jogável,e tem tudo que prometeram...porém,tarde demais.

    In 2016 I would rate this game at a 6. With the tremendous and free updates they’ve put out over the years this is hands down a 10/10 title. VR mode is otherworldly.

    I really enjoy the game now. I was pretty disappointed when it came ot and stopped playing after 5 hours, but all the updates made a real good game.
    Exploration: 10 - so many things to see and discover. Exploration mechanics like taking pictures, uploading and renaming creatures and whole planets is awesome.
    Upgrade Mechanics: 8 - hard to get into it, but finally rewarding. More    I really enjoy the game now. I was pretty disappointed when it came ot and stopped playing after 5 hours, but all the updates made a real good game.

    Combat (Space): 7 - OK i guess, i don't usually play other Space games.
    Combat (Ground): 4 - Game is not specialised for that.
    Story: 8 - Got improved so much.
    Graphics: 8 - Good enough to get immersed
    Sound effects: 9 - Use good headphones. Alien creatures make funny noises.
    Music: 3 - not for me, too esoteric. Use your own music.

    Overall, the gameplay elements come together now to create a great experience, i am excited to play more after 35 hours now.    … Expand

    The game has had massive improvements to its gameplay. it has a solid story, good development, co-op to a degree, and base building. Vehicles, weapons, and space combat has improved. Atlas storyline has progressed, and the game is very strong.. If you still have the game, give it a try! Its a completely different game! If you have not played the game, get it now!     I only played to the NMS Beyond release.
    At the beginning I had fun exploring the environment, doing the tutorial, even if the onboarding happens on a hostile planet where you have to understand quickly how to survive (maybe not the best way to onboard new players?)
    But...after 6-7hours spend on the game, it is boriiiiiiiiing. Why? "There is no place in your inventory" ... I can resume    I only played to the NMS Beyond release.

    I spent 1 hour to craft item to unlock a suit amelioration just to... lose it, a bug! the item is not in my inventory...
    I stopped playing to this game because the inventory system, it is so annoying, even the UI. And the crafting system, not easy to know what you can do, can not do.    … Expand

    The greatest game ever made.

    And I’ve played a lot of games.

    I can see from other reviews that this is a ‘Marmite’ game, but for me it’s the game on PS4 I keep coming back to.

    And that’s before I try the free beyond/VR etc update....

    The development of this game is a story worth writing a novel about. It started out over hyped and under delivering, thanks to the games creator talking big but not having the time or people to back up many promises. There is almost infinite things to do in this game , and its great fun, but the fact you can do it all in VR is what elevates this game to a 10/10. Just like RE7 its a great game on its own , but when you are able to feel like you are in the world and the sense of immersion and atmosphere is that realistic, it elevates the whole experience. the only negative I could give the game today is that it is a bit Blurry on PSVR, ive seen many other games look much sharper on PSVR which makes me wonder in they are taking advantage of the PS4 Pro hardware yet.. Its not entirely fair to mark a game down for the hardware limitations with such new tech, though, so for me the game sits at 10/10 in 2019.… Expand

    A lot of potential, but just extremely boring due to the immense amount of info coming in: these minerals, these Flora, need this, need that, need this and that to make this which further, (when added with X) results in object A which you need to further purify mineral F. It's just tried too hard to be complicated.     Gotta have it to these guys. At first this game was terrible but after they fixed it i absolutely love the game. during their patches there were still many bugs and caused the game to crash but eventually most was fixed. i do have some issues but overall this game has been very fun, very different, and lost more to do.

    A very enjoyable space exploration game with wonderful design, and the game has come a long way from where it was when it released. Its still maybe not worth as much as it's being sold for, but its a lot of fun and I would gladly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing journey.

    While I’m sure developer Hello Games is still tweaking things and perhaps even creating more content for No Man’s Sky, the current state of affairs is a strong one. This galactic opus still offers an infinite amount of content for those who want to lose themselves among the stars, but now also contains a concrete throughline that will satisfy a wider array of players. It can be irritating at times, but it’s also full of stunning moments and the satisfaction of building a virtual life among the stars. Four years after launch, it’s finally a journey worth taking.

    While No Man's Sky is engrossing for the first few hours, repetition starts to set in and the proceedings grow dull. The developers stated that they plan to add significant features such as base building which could dramatically change the game for the better. There's a promising foundation present, so it's possible to envision a more substantial game down the line. As it currently stands, though, our excitement to cross the universe faded sooner than we expected.
