    As someone having 300+ hours of playtime in each of the last Madden games, this game felt like a punch in the face. I tried each game mode, just to find some fun and joy in this game. Neither of the game modes made me stick to it, as I haven´t felt any changes in the game. The game play got even worse and with the addition of "The Yard" it should be forbidden calling this game aAs someone having 300+ hours of playtime in each of the last Madden games, this game felt like a punch in the face.     It is an absolute embarrassment that EA is releasing the exact same game year after year. They got sued in the 2000s for making the same game 8 years in a row, Madden 05-12, and had to settle a class action lawsuit because of it, and yet here they are churning out the exact same game again. If you are dumb enough to buy this game make sure you keep your receipt, that way you can be part ofIt is an absolute embarrassment that EA is releasing the exact same game year after year.     Everything about this game is bad. The game play is choppy, announcers say random things that make no sense, franchise mode is the same as its been for 10 years. It feels like they slapped new paint on 84 pinto.

    Seriously trash. Madden has fallen off for a while. There is literally almost nothing new of note in this game that makes it worth buying over Madden 20 or hell, even Madden 19. If you really need your football fix go buy one of those at a discount.

    Please give some love to Franchise. You can have your greedy ultimate team trash still, just try to make a game worth playing for the love of god.

    This game is absolutely trash. Defense is now slowed down to balance the bs from previous years and now it’s unrealistic. The franchise is the same as the last few years. The expansion teams have been literally the same for the past 5 years. But you want a 60+ every year for the same game? Horrible, they ignore the feedback from the community but makes changes that no one asks for. 0/10

    This game follows the long long of outright horrible madden NFL games. This buyout of the NFL license is anti-competitive, and thus anti-American. I have never been so dissatisfied with a company's weasly actions. They couldn't compete with 2K and so used daddy's money to beat out th competition. This game is ANTI AMERICA.

    I bought the game.. day one, can’t even connect to the servers.. EA help has had me try about everything I have even reset my Xbox multiple times and the whole reason I bought the game... can’t even play it.     I’ve been buying this game for 11 years now and since Madden 12 I’ve been growing increasingly disappointed with each new iteration. While I think The Yard is fun and gameplay is better than M20, this game was not a finished product at launch. So many bugs and glitches, some are new, some are carryover from last year (ex: “Drag to reorder”). I imagine QA was adversely affected by theI’ve been buying this game for 11 years now and since Madden 12 I’ve been growing increasingly disappointed with each new iteration.     For Years EA developers have become lazy and have not put work into this game. The truth finally comes out as glitches, bugs and more have destroyed this game making it nearly unplayable. After just a few days I’ve become so frustrated that I refuse to play the game until it’s been fixed.

    Unreal this billion dollar company can't learn. NFL should revoke their license, this game is abysmal. Franchise STILL SUCKS! Ultimate Team is completely pay to win, and the new mode is meh at best. It's the same every year with no improvements. ESPN NFL 2K5 needs to be the model going forward.

    Extremely laggy. The glitches are unreal. Franchise mode allows you to cut players who are the same person. For example I had the option to cut any number of Devin Singletarys, all of varying ability and wage. I beat the Chiefs, go back to the franchise screen and apparently it was scored as a loss. Easily one of the laziest efforts EA has provided. Really regret spending the money on it

I highly recommend the NFL reconsider their contract with EA. Madden may be the only product in the tech world that has gotten worse over the last decade. Fix the bugs. Fix the gameplay. Engine is bad, graphics are bad, commentary is re used and they haven’t even updated some basic things like calling players rookies who are 2nd year players. I could sit here all day about the issues with this game. Second year in a row I won’t get madden after my EA access 10 hours. Save your money

    In two words, Madden 21 is: slow and unpolished.

    From when you first encounter the menus to the graphics in the MUT "items" to the on field graphics to the kick meter... everything just has a feeling of unfinished. EA had a low bar given how popular this game is and what we've accepted every year as an "update" to the franchise. Sadly, they didn't even try to aim for it, let alone anywhere near it. If madden is a must have for you, you'll buy it anyway, but if your one of those individuals who can live without it, this is a must pass.    … Expand

    Same thing every year - will not be buying for the 4th strait year. I play the demo and am unimpressed. I go into the demo with high hopes just to play the same game it has been for years. Sad too as I’m a huge gamer and even bigger football fan.

    I've had every madden since 95 and I played 1 game on this and turned it off, same **** year after year, the graphics in face of the franchise look like ps2 graphics and the game play is just pure ****.
    Get rid of EA sports.

I did a quick google to see that nothing has changed about the game. So I now own madden 21 and got it for free!!! Still too expensive in my opinion. I want my money back. lol… Expand

    This game gets sloppier and sloppier every year. Franchise mode has been watered down, it used to have so much more. Even relocating franchises, something supposed to be exciting and new, is full of the same old stadiums you can build, a limited list of team names to start. Remember Madden 11/12 when you could be creative with moving a team in franchise mode?

Patrick Mahomes famously signed a 10 year extension to his contract, keeping him in Kansas City for the next 12 years. It's shocking that something so big and iconic in the NFL was implemented incorrectly, being a change that takes such a minimal amount of coding and time commitment. EA continues to ignore customers and create new game modes that the community doesn't ask for, this year coming in the form of "The Yard". New modes such as The Yard are developed with the goal of higher profits from micro transactions, rather than producing a quality game for consumers. If you are someone who has an extreme passion for the NFL that plays online connected franchise with friends and feels a serious need for new rosters with accurate face scans, buying the game wouldn't be a bad idea. If you are 99% of the Madden community, you should not feel as if you are missing out by not purchasing the game. I have seen updates to free games that are more productive than the release of Madden 21, and they didn't cost $60.… Expand

    After years of playing CMF and seeing its decline i just wanted to know......can MUT replace my needs and the answer is....no. The gameplay and scripting is as bad as in CMF even though ‘user’ skill should be rewarding. This game needs an overhaul and if EA is up to the task...i still would give them a chance but they really should take action..now...

    Madden NFL 21 is another blatant recycling of last year’s edition of the „simulation“ of the American football. Sadly, most of the modes remained the same. Gameplay received a few minor tweaks, and in the end it still persists as a cash grab not worth anybody’s time.
