    bad game NFL please cut ties with ea . they don't do the sport justice. i am 48 yeas old and in the state of Oklahoma. I've been watching football all my life and i am in crushing debt so i had to sell by child left kidney to buy this game .Now after I've played this game. I'm stuck with a bad game, still in crushing debt and my son died of kidney failure due to the fact that he only hadbad game NFL please cut ties with ea . they don't do the sport justice. i am 48 yeas old and in the state of Oklahoma.     It's just depressing how much the Dev's have just given up and don't care anymore about the game as long as it rakes in the money for them. Not only in madden, but basically every other sport they have as well

    Another repackaging of last year's broken game, combined with EA's known greed for micro-transactions, but that's to be expected since there is no competition for EA sport games because they have exclusivity for the licenses.

    This might be the worst Madden game I've ever played. I've played every Madden since 2004 and this is by far the most pathetic excuse for a video game I've ever seen. I made an account for the sole reason to rate this game a zero. I can't believe how broken this game is. Don't even consider wasting your money on this garbage game and this garbage company.

    Madden 21 sucks. The gameplay is terrible as the gameplay feels very fast and modes like Franchise are neglected in favor of nodes like the yard and ultimate team. There are also various frame rate issues that caused me to miss PATs. #endmaddenmonopoly

    The gameplay is pretty solid. The graphics are good. You can tell the developers know how to make a wonderful football game, they are just capped by the EA conglomerate. I can pick up any madden game released over the last 10 years and get the same general experience, and unfortunately in come cases a worse experience. The amount of animations in this game is absolutely absurd. They use the frostbite engine which is specially designed for first person shooter games not football games or sports games. Madden NFL 21 literally copies most if not all things that were in Madden NFL 19. The gameplay, and physique of players has always been unrealistic since about Madden NFL 13 or 15. It infuriates me how terrible the games are scripted and not all(Originally made in 2020) I didn't get the chance to announce it last year but Madden NFL 20 was horrendously bad in gameplay and engagement. Madden NFL 21 literally copies most if not all things that were in Madden NFL 19. The gameplay, and physique of players has always been unrealistic since about Madden NFL 13 or 15. It infuriates me how terrible the games are scripted and not all about realism. This game series since Madden NFL 13, has been beyond trash.

Then in a cutscene that is never shown our player snitches without our control and we are put in the game. Cool we get to play HS yes actually HS is very fun but Its like 3 games. Then you commit which I do like that they added real colleges so there is that but then Tommy (the starting QB mentioned before) he commits to the same college after switching to WR because he wants revenge for some reason after our player helps him by throwing TDs to him in the last HS game. Anyways he switches back to QB and now it puts us and Tommy in 3rd year of college where you re rotated at QB the story is dumb and there is really no chamge to any decisions you make. At least in Madden 20's career mode if you lose you get picked a little later or something and your friend I guess for Madden 20 a WR from college sends you a message but Tommy basically dies after College because he is one of the top prospects but never gets to the NFL. And then the NFL "Scenarios" they added just makes you skip weeks throughout the season and you have No control. Btw you get drafted to the Bears no matter what which is stupid. In Madden 20 it was like 6 different Teams but nope Madden 21 has 1 you get picked too and thats coming from a bears fan its so stupid. There is no immersion no Fun its stupid and pointless and shallow and there is no effort. As I said before the Gameplay is as bad as ever and MUT Is horrible I get some people love the gamemode but as a person who doesnt wanna spend 100000 bucks on packs that give me golds most of the time I refuse to play MUT. The Only thing I like from this year is the Yard which seems very fun however still lags behind 2k's park mode in My Career which is sad. However on top of that the new Flagship Gamemode making people wanna buy M21 is actually kinda bad due to weird animations and Glitches and again, terrible Gameplay. Player Models apparently mean nothing because everyone is warping through each other no matter what mode you play and overall its just a really bad experience. As a customer of EA for many years I will not be buying Madden 21 this year and I encourage everyone else to do the Same.… Expand

They added a new game mode with the Yard but it isn’t really “new” considering they had the exact same game mode on madden for the Wii. Scouting has been untouched since Madden 17 and the draft classes are almost unusable. 3 pushes of x and boom you know how goodI have been frustrated since Madden 13 but Madden 21 is simply a disgrace to the NFL and what Madden used to be First off lets talk about franchise mode..Madden by far has the worst franchise mode in all of sports gaming and nearly a decade behind the competition. Scouting has been untouched since Madden 17 and the draft classes are almost unusable. 3 pushes of x and boom you know how good the player with laughable face animations is. I miss the real pictures from Madden 12-16 a small thing that made rookies feel like real players and brought immersion and attachment to your team. Still no coaching staff which has been missing since Madden 12. Sim stats are still super unrealistic and despite the cover athlete rushing for over 1000 yards in real life he will not rush for more that 300 yards in a season in your franchise mode. New glitches including being unable to properly use formation subs. Even the new coaches face scans are terrible despite no name players getting actual face scans in the game. No customization for player faces despite this feature being in TWO different game modes this year. Draft class glitches are even worse than last year and every time you edit a player the college changes to N/A. The only positive i can give this mode is regression seems to be much improved and something i am very pleased they fixed. I could forgive the horrible franchise if the gameplay was fun and realistic but its not. DDA is more prevalent than eve. The CPU will not throw a single incompletion unless it is a dropped int from you. CPU Qb ratings do not matter. Backup QB's will play like 99 overalls. It is simply impossible to stop the CPU even with a 99 overall defense. Man coverage, Zone coverage, blitzing nothing works. Offense is just as frustrating because your qb will miss wide open throws with extreme regularity. Terrible animations will launch passes directly to defenders. Defenders will bat a ball and it will fly 30 feet in the air into a defenders hands. Simply put whether you are playing or simulating you will not have a fun experience playing this game. This is the least ive ever enjoyed playing madden usually and we haven't even gotten to the part where EA patches the game and it makes it even more unplayable. Last year at launch I really enjoyed Madden 20 gameplay and by the end of the year it was unbearable. Madden 21 is already unbearable so I cannot even predict how much worse it will get. I cannot stress enough how bad this game is. EA only cares about microtransactions and will shove them down your throat every chance you get. It is sad to see what has happened to Madden a game i grew up loving turn into this. I miss how much fun it used to bring me and cannot keep waiting for a better game.… Expand

    EA needs to create a new football game from the ground up, ditching their animation based gameplay system (which in my opinion makes this game unplayable and extremely unrealistic) and develop a physics based system. This game is an embarrassment and honestly EA shouldn’t legally be allowed to sell it as a “Football simulation” because simply, it’s not.

Let's first be kind and talk about what Madden gets right
    Pros: NFL License, Graphics
    Now let's talk about the cons.
    Cons:
    1) Still somehow no in-depth stat tracking (can't even see where a player used to play)
    2) Drafting is stale. Not even close to enough immersion (college stats, injury history, personality, etc)
    3) Animation based gameplay is horrid. Physics don't properly exist at all
    4) Too many bugs somehow
    5) Can't create a custom team or custom uniforms
    6) All the relocation teams have been the same for like 6 years or so
    7) The SUPERBOWL feels just like any other game. Madden 15s reg season presentation trumps Madden 21 SUPERBOWL
    8) Lack of customization for characters: Not at all enough faces, no tattoos, weird CPU generated body types
    9) If you try to sim 10 years into the future to start your simulation, here's what you'll find: You have no idea what teams have been good/won the SB, every team is like a 65 overall, all the players are as generic and ugly as humanly possible with none having actual good overalls.
    10) Not just a lack of player stat tracking, but all types. Why can't you see league leaders for individual or team stats from any year other than the one you're in? Where is the option to click on a team and find out how their defense has performed in each category for the last 10+ years?
    11) Simulation is horridly inaccurate. Every QBs rookie year looks like (55%, 3500 Yards, 18:14 TD:INT) and then from there on out they throw 40 TDs and 7 INTs each year. Idk if EA knows this, but not all 32 QBs are Aaron Rodgers. WRs are very inconsistent. HBs either have 3.5 YPC and 1000 yards or 6.8 YPC and 1500+ Yards.
    12) Gameplay wise now: Stopping the run is far too easy against RBs and far too hard against QBs
    13) QBs, even the worst, usually have no problem posting 300+ yards and completing 80% of their passes
    14) Defenses will routinely be able to force 5 TOs/game but simultaneously allow 400+ yards
    15) Elite WRs seem to not matter
    16) Good and elite (sometimes even average or bad) TEs seem impossible to stop sometimes.
    17) It seems like whatever happened in the first offensive and defensive drive leads the game to script out the rest of the game to follow the exact same style. I've tested it out. First defensive drive I allowed them to march down the field and score a TD (they used heavy TE) and when replaying the game I forced a turnover on that first drive. In the one they used TEs a lot to score a TD, the TEs finished the game with 14 Catches for over 200 yards and 3 TDs (Ertz) and the game where I forced a turnover on the first drive, I ended up forcing 6 on the game.
    18) Ball trajectory and that type of stuff is still iffy at best.
    19) Slant routes CAN NOT be defended
    20) Back to immersion (which should be a huge priority in a simulation game), there are still no OCs, DCs, or any type of position coaches. There's also no stat tracking to see how a coach has bounced around and come to be a HC.
    21) Commentary is **** Too many things to say. It's just awful.
    22) Progression of players is either far too easy or far too impossible.
    23) Pass blocking for user teams is bad in a way idk how to explain
    24) The game doesn't even properly update rosters at all and when the next years schedule comes out, they don't update the game to allow you to play the next season because EA wants your money (:
    25) Update the news feed. Generic, repetitive, stale.
    26) Whoever wrote the dialogue for Face of the Franchise has the social experiences of an 11 year old who writes My Little Pony fan-fiction. So cringy.
    27) Trading is unrealistic.
    28) Ratings are bad. I know this is very hard to do, but it's blatantly clear that a lot of the ratings are made by dudes who don't watch any football at all.
    29) Contracts are way too bare bones. Add options for contracts to be for people who don't understand them or people that do; so you can decide if you want easy and stale contracts or realistic ones.
    30) All-Pro should be added along with some cool in-season updates to Pro Bowl voting.
    31) Better presentation. Literally every single game feels the same. At least add cool graphics like (This team is 5-0 in the last 5 matchups, the last game ended 28-24, etc, etc)
    I'm gonna run out of characters. I hate how terrible EA has treated consumers (especially franchise) so damn much that I just went full-blown incel weirdo and wrote this massive thing. This game SUCKS.    … Expand

    No attention paid to detail by the devs and no resolve put in place to make Madden NFL 21 a better overall simulation football video gaming experience as opposed to its predecessors. The same copy and paste formula that has been used for years, and with it comes a new low for the Madden gaming franchise. There needs to be change, and a 0.4 user score of the game is an evident indicator.

I am mortified that I spent money for MVP and then unwisely on a bundle, mostly just because my girlfriend wanted to see me open them. My team looks great on paper, but that's where it ends. Good luck trying to play online, unless you have time to restart the app, get locked out while matchmaking, restart the app just to have it lock up again. Both MLB the show and 2K21 provide a product that while is monetized at least works. I cannot stress enough to anyone thinking about buying this game to never buy this again, until EA decides to get their collective heads out of their own asses and provide a product worth paying for. This is something I was looking forward to in the midst of a pandemic but what I ended up with was a lighter wallet and a game that doesn't work . Thank you EA for the good memories but you left this life long fan extremely upset and disappointed for the last time. Oh.     Face of the Franchise is absolutely ridiculously. Anyone with a modicum of football knowledge would realize it. No college coach would incorporate a two QB system. And no coach would tell his QB that just won a national championship to switch positions so that the other guy who is on a literal hospital bed can be the starter. Like, it just doesn’t make any sense at all. Use your goddamn common sense EA. Tons of glitches, bad AI, spelling mistakes. There’s issues at every level of this game. Something you could expect from a low tier Indie company, but not one of the biggest video game companies in the world.     Madden NFL 21 is another blatant recycling of last year’s edition of the „simulation“ of the American football. Sadly, most of the modes remained the same. Gameplay received a few minor tweaks, and in the end it still persists as a cash grab not worth anybody’s time.
