    An amazing online playground for Fallout enthusiasts. Needs some quality of line enhancements as well as bug fixing, but overall Bethesda delivered what they promised.

    An online only Fallout isnt a Bethesda Stidios game, and its not a Fallout game. No NPCS, no real story, griefers everywhere, ni real RPG elements such as branching dialogue or companions, no fun. What a waste of dev budget and time.

I must state that I initially was not planning on buying Fallout 76, for many reasons and concerns which were already echoed by other members of the community, but then I decided to give it a try and had a blast!

I must state that I initially was not planning on buying Fallout 76, for many reasons and concerns which were already echoed by other members of the community, but then I decided to give it a try and had a blast!

    I played throughout all the Beta sessions on PS4, also stayed up all night to play it during release, have +30 hours in total. Played mostly solo and for about 7 hours partied up with other players who I stumbled into randomly.

    The game is excellent if you have a bit of fantasy, allowing you to create your own adventure. I could never get into Fallout 4 as I found its premise and plot quite bland, but I love other Bethesda games, such as Fallout New Vegas, TES: Morrowind and TES: Skyrim.
    I can understand how the concern of the lack of NPCs can be alerting, but so far the story was very engaging: some of stories were very emotional and thought-provoking.

    PVP is surprisingly fun - had a lot of interesting encounters with other players, which ended up becoming a shootouts for half an hour. The only thing I would change about it is the revenge mechanic, infinitely respawning on your opponent is silly.

    Graphics is great for PS4, being a multiplayer game I did not expect the graphics to be any better, otherwise the server would not be able to handle it. Freezes do happen every now and then but do not require a restart.

    Overall I believe FO 76 has a promising future, can't wait to see what Bethesda has in store for it. See you all in the Wasteland!    … Expand

    Instead of a game that might have potentially fixed the flaws of Fallout 4 we have instead gotten a glitchy mess, even by Bethesda's standards. What little story there is is just Bethesda's trademark 'environmental storytelling' where    They could've given us another New Vegas-style game instead of this, but Bethesda just had to chase the Rust-clone survival multiplayer crafting craze.

    Instead of a game that might have potentially fixed the flaws of Fallout 4 we have instead gotten a glitchy mess, even by Bethesda's standards. What little story there is is just Bethesda's trademark 'environmental storytelling' where long dead skeletons conveniently remember to record their login details in audio logs right as they expire.

    There are no memorable npcs (or forgettable ones for that matter, there are no npcs at all), no actually important quests where you decide the fate of the wasteland or anything like that. It's all been sacrificed on the altar of multiplayer - and it cant even do multiplayer well. The servers are awful even after a couple of weeks of stress testing with the beta, PVP is completely irrelevant, and there are no private servers (something a game like this desperately needs) so you're stuck playing with whatever idiotic 12 year olds the game decides to connect you with.

    Over eight years later people still fondly remember Fallout New Vegas. Eight years from now? I doubt people will have much to say about Fallout 76, assuming it is even still playable considering the servers might have been taken down by then.    … Expand

    Horrible frame rate, world feels empty. Annoying gameplay, hard to find ammo, have to dehydrate, feels like a chore most of the time. Game lacks identity: doesn't know whether it wants to be a online shooter (which its not) to a rpg. Gun play is not in the same realm as other games in the same genre. They were better off putting their efforts into Starfield and Skyrim then this rubbish.

    I pre ordered this game and expected something similar to previous games. I played it for some hours, but i'ts a dead lifeless world with good things missing from it. Biggest disappointment I have had with a game for as long as I can remember.

    I have been playing the beta and i am very exited to say that i love it. I am going to play this with my boyfriend and our kids, we only scratched the surface, but i love the game already. I like that it is up to us to start civilization again. and i bet there will be npc from our vault in the future. I do not miss "human" npcs yet.     Voting also again the stupid votes. I'm just beginning the game, but even if i'm a long time Fallout fan (i played the first one when it came out) and i don't like multiplayer games, i'm willing to try it without prejudice and stay open minded

    The legacy of a 21 year old franchise, tarnished. Its identity? Obliterated. Fallout 76 is nothing more than just a bug-ridden, lore-breaking carbon copy of Fallout 4 with an extra algorithm for online play. It serves no purpose, it's big, empty, boring and it falls under the whole micro-transactions BS.

    This is terrible crafting terrible looking no mobs to kill and the pvp let me just say i think pvp mode on solitaire would work better.

    Unlike the neck beard trolls who are living in their mother's basements that are trying to tank the score here, I have actually PLAYED the game and have found it to be quite enjoyable. While it isn't a single-player focused title, I've enjoyed playing solo so far. The music, the atmosphere and world are stunning. The story is intriguing enough to keep me going so far.     I have played every Fallout, first to last, and from my time in the beta (friend key) this game has few to no redeeming qualities. Ripping out the (humanoid) NPCs, with narrative and quests tied up with them, populated settlements, choices and consequences, and companions with personality and story arcs, was a terrible mistake and kills this title on arrival. It's what most Fallout players play for. Not shooting, looting, and building/crafting, or whatever godawful way that 'loop' was describied. The lore and the living, breathing, and rebuilding world. Not to hear some dads kids screaming at him that he is 'doing it wrong' all through character creation, exploring a world where everyone you might have wanted to interact with or things you might have wanted to do are already dead/over, and then spending a dozen hours seeing glimmers of what could have been amazing but was a total wasted oppertunity in reality.

    Fallout 76 feels like you are playing the aftermath of a much better Fallout title. Factions and probably heroes fighting to survive, events and great battles and personal struggles playing out, before someone messed up and got a Game Over and everyone died. Then you arrive. You spend the entire game cleaning up a mess/messes left by extinct factions, in a dead and lifeless map, with the end goal of stopping/killing what caused a second mini apocolypse, probably with an alliance made up of a guy eating chips loudly down his mic, a silent dude in a dress and part hat, and someone who can't stop jumping for two seconds. If you are lucky enough not to be met with stony silence and people totally ignoring eachothers existence which was all I found.

    Made single player, with a populated world full of NPCs, where the stories on the holotapes actually played out in front of you and you could take part, this could have been vastly better than FO4 or even Skyrim. It could have taken the crown of best Fallout from New Vegas without a challenge. Instead, it commits the worst sin of all, in that while being bad, it isn't even interesting. It's just so very, very boring. It feels more like a chore simulator than a video game.

    And all this is without all the wonderous technical issues.

    Avoid. I'm only giving it a 1 because nothing that even launches is worth a 0.    … Expand

    People been asking for a fallout multiplayer and they delivered. What I don't like is the lack of actual story and human NPC's. Also the netcode looks bad.

    Many call it an obscene cash grab or a horrendous antithesis of fallout. I just call it garbage. It's a result of fallout design philosophy to create content ultra-cheap and push it as a fake AAA game. This game shows a complete lack of respect for ex-loyal customers.

    I'm a fool for being optimistic about this game. I loved Fallout 3, New Vegas, and even enjoyed Fallout 4 though I thought it was very disappointing. Fallout 76 is buggy, lazy, and an overall miserable experience with little redeeming qualities. I'm offended as a Bethesda fan and as a consumer that they thought this was worthy of a release. Stay away from this trash, I beg you.

This is on a PS4 Pro, my friend with a base PS4 encountered even more frame-rate problems.

    Outside that, it never crashed and I never had any issues with items dissapearing or monsters "t-posing", it seems they fixed that from the BETA.

    The biggest issue lies in the fact that Fallout 76 is just so bloody boring. Boring and Empty are the two best words to describe this game, and it pains me to do it because I am such a huge fan of the Fallout series and went into 76 with cautious optimism, hoping that it might be okay.

    The Good:

    - The world is really pretty, Appalachia is an excellent setting and the map is very big, so its obvious Bethesda put some effort into creating a diverse enviornment

    - Some of the elements of the game are well done, for example I like the inclusion of corpses that would have been mummified in the initial nuclear blasts.

    - The base building element is done alright, but its essentially just a portable version of the base building you had in Fallout 4.

    The Bad:

    - The atrocious frame rates! This game looks identical to Fallout 4 which came out more then 3 years ago, why on earth does it run worse then the latest bleeding edge titles?? Its not even in 4k! I've never played a console game that has performed quite this terribly, and given Bethesda's giant budget I am absolutley floored at the performance!

    - The fact there is utterly nothing to do, Bethesda decided to remove all human NPC's which means the world is filled with corpses and notes and holotapes, rendering each quest a fetch quest with no actual people to spur you on, you are just following breadcrumbs left behind. Its utterly lifeless and soulless, there is no sense of life anywhere, which for a Post Apocalyptic game should make sense but rather then increase the atmopshere it just makes things more dull.

    - On top of the previous point, because the game has you listening to Holo-tapes, playing with a friend actually ends up being a bit of a hinderence, because you can't actually listen to the Holo-tapes and pay attention with someone activley talking in your ear.

    - The removal of a traditional V.A.T.S system and the fact the enemies still run around like crazed maniacs because they think you can stop time with V.A.T.S to kill them makes all encounters with enemies far more challenging then they should be.

    - Weird lore breaking additions like Super Mutants and the B.O.S which shouldn't have existed at this part of the game

    - Clunky menu system that worked fine in a singleplayer game with a PAUSE option, but given this is always online, if you are over encumbured or need to switch weapons while being pursued by fast, agressive super mutants, good luck bucko, cause you can't easily do anything in the god awful menu, and pulling it up means you just die faster.

    - Outrageously expensive microtransactions, one outfit costs around 8-10 real life dollars, for a cosmetic item it seems a little steep, but honestly the microtransactions are the least of this games problems.

    Overall the game feels like so much wasted potential, its identical to Fallout 4 in every single way except it has little to no proper quests, everything feels like a fetch mission, there is no life anywhere and the co-op/online aspect is completley unnecessary and shoe horned into the game for no reason whatsoever. The map is cool and some of the elements are neat, but this game would have been fine as a $20 add on DLC for Fallout 4 3 years ago, not a full priced standalone game when they've had 3 years to develop it.

    It seems like Bethesda spent 3 years crafting a great, big open map and trying to shoe horn some garbage online element into it which goes against what traditional Fallout is about, and completley forgot to actually populate it with quests or anything actually FUN to do.

    As it stands avoid this game, perhaps they will patch it in a year or so and then maybe buy it for $10-20 on sale to experience it for yourself.

    I gave this game a score of 2/10 only because of the interesting environment and a few cool additions, as well as the hope the game will improve in time.

    I will be returning this game.

    -No NPC’s so no fun and engaging back stories to uncover, or no fun interactions between the PC & other NPC’s (you know the stuff fallout is famous for?!?)
    -Forced PvP, yes I know the lamest mechanic in history being the slap one is there , but it doesn’t work, it doesn’t protect PvE players from griefers & it frustrates PvP players as    -No text chat, this is just dumb for a MMO in 2018

    -Stash limit, I understand having a limit in an MMO but considering tou have spent the last 20+ years turning us all into hoarders, giving us such a low lit is an insult to your fans. Although judging by your “we plan to upgrade it” comment I guess it will be something we will have to pay for in a future update

    -Overall, I do see potential of this game but I’m not sure if enough of us fans will stay around to be part of it. You’ve really burned a lot of us with this blatant cash grab on an existing brand, as that’s exactly what it feels like.    … Expand

    Rest in peace fallout. If earlier, the Fallout series was a parody of post-apocalypse, now, in the hands of bethesda, it is a parody of the fallout series. Empty, stupid, boring, dull. Even looking optimistic, from the point of view of the bethesda fan, I cannot find at least one positive score in this terrible, funky and uninteresting game.

    Lo mas malo que he visto hasta ahorita de Bethesda no historia, no npcs ,los problemas continua con el sonido y graficos ,los enemigos a veces se mete debajo del piso o de las paredes o tu personaje es el que se mete y llena de mods de pago micropagos ropa a 5, 7 dolares reales o mas y otras cosas , Solo pierdes tu dinero con esta porqueria mejor espere a fallout 5.

    Looks like Bethesda Austin has made a good map for Fallout spin-off. But instead of making normal quests and story they added laggy multiplayer.

Quests are uninteresting and make you want to skip the holotapes and robots that deliver them, fetch quests and kill X many zombies (monsters are unimaginative and rehashed). You'll be shooting immobile t-posing bullet sponge zombiesAn empty world with broken mechanics and most importantly a lifeless and boring world. Imagine Fallout 1, 2, 3, 4, Baldur's Gate, etc... but without any NPCs. Quests are uninteresting and make you want to skip the holotapes and robots that deliver them, fetch quests and kill X many zombies (monsters are unimaginative and rehashed). You'll be shooting immobile t-posing bullet sponge zombies and assorted riff-raff until they deplete your ammo reserve and ultimately their corpse will disapear before you can loot them.     Whether you're playing this with friends or alone it defiently is a hit. The world is rich and huge, challenging enemies, smart AI, and a sense of realistic survivability. The perk card system is a great twist on the previous perk system. The gun modification system has been greatly improved and is more rewarding. The CAMP feature is fun, creative, and relaxing. The story and quests areWhether you're playing this with friends or alone it defiently is a hit. The world is rich and huge, challenging enemies, smart AI, and a sense of realistic survivability. The perk card system is a great twist on the previous perk system. The gun modification system has been greatly improved and is more rewarding. The CAMP feature is fun, creative, and relaxing. The story and quests are actually clever thought out and more indepth than what one would think at first look. And the community is friendly, helpfull, and overall what a good community should be like. Theres room for imporvements of course, but all games have that.     After a couple of hours of gameplay with friends, I can say this game is actually enjoyable with friends. When you play it by yourself it can get quite boring but if you play with friends it can be a lot of fun. A lot of frame rate issues prevent this game from getting anything more than a 7/10.

    Fallout diverso dagli altri,ho sempre sperato in un fallout online ma questo gioco è un abominio.
    Continui drop di frame rate,mondo vuoto e storia noiosissima fatta solo di holotape da ascoltare.
    Va bene per 5 ore,ma poi la noia prende il sopravvento,ho provato sia la beta PS4 che PC,anche se su playstation il gioco gira meglio,è sempre un gioco bruttissimo.

    Como ya dijo JinoGamerHC, ni con un palo toco este Fallout 76. Es verlo y me produce una vergüenza ajena enorme. No tiene nada destacable en mi opinión. ¿Tienes online? No te preocupes, haremos que tengas que pagar suscripciones de pago al online de las consolas que son baratísimas y encima se te "petara" el juego.     So utterly disappointing and flawed in every possible way… The first few hours, most of it can be ignored, and occasionally the flaws can be forgotten, but only briefly before they come storming back to the forefront. An awful, boring, empty, pointless experience. There is, however, a glimmer of hope. It's worth mentioning that there has already been a Bethesda title that was equally as unimpressive: The Elder Scrolls Online - but looking at it now, it has transformed into one of the best MMOs out there. There's always the hope the Fallout 76 develops the same way and becomes something special, but for now, that seems impossible. It's a world away from that.

    Fallout 76 isn't your typical fallout experience. You don't have NPCs or dialogue, but instead get real players that should fill this void - that ultimately fails to do so. It does some things right, but as of now I cannot recommend getting this game as long as it stays a broken and boring mess that it is right now.

    Fallout 76 is the series’ Freshman introduction into the world of online, multiplayer games. As a result, we are experiencing all of the awkwardness and clumsiness associated with that season of life. It is imperfect and a bit uncomfortable, but I see opportunity for Fallout 76 to be more than it presently it - to be a truly great, rich Fallout experience.
