Siguiendo la tonica de los Batman, un gran juego, con un gran apartado visual.

However, the game is ruined by the inclusion of the batmobile. It would have been okay to have it used sporadically, but it's practically forced on the player. The batmobile combat is boring, and the portions with the Cobra tanks are just laughable. Worse, there are no good boss fights in the game, and the Deathstroke boss fight is just lazy and poorly done.

It's a fun game otherwise, but the boss fights and tank battles really spoil what could have been an amazing game. Hate to say it, but I think this game ranks below Arkham Origins.

With enough references to satisfy the most die hard DC Comics fan, a beautiful open world, impeccable sound design, and a very well crafted fighting style, combined with a gritty and emotional storyline, Batman: Arkham Knight is a somewhat perfect ending, to the perfect Rocksteady Arkham series.

The Arkham Knight was a great villain and the game kept it a mystery trying to figure out who is the Arkham Knight but as you progress through the game you start to figure out who is the Arkham Knight. There are more gadgets in the game but one of the best additions to the game is that the player can drive the batmobile which I thought was going to be hard to control but it was easy driving it. The only negative I can say about this game is the ending. The ending wasn't bad or great it was just okay and it's something I've seen already. If you've seen The Dark Knight Rises then you'll know how Batman: Arkham Knight will end. Overall if your a Batman fan this is a game that you definitely need to play. I'm going to start off by saying that this game isn't bad and sure as hell isn't terrible like people have been saying. That being said, I have a few things to say about this game and not all of them are good. Let's start with the good things. The gameplay is spectacular and hands down the best in the series. They did enough with it to make it a little challenging for gamers coming from the previous Arkham games while also not over complicating it. They made some improvements to the gadgets that Batman has in his arsenal. For example, the cryptographic sequencer has multiple uses such as using the voice of The Arkham Knight or Harley Quinn to fool henchmen and tell them where to search for Batman. These changes are simple, but effective as they allow for more options in stealth encounters. The voice acting in this game is still very well acted with Kevin Conroy returning as Batman, John Noble as the Scarecrow, Johnathon Banks as Commissioner Gordon and the return of Mark Hamill as The Joker.

Now that I've talked about what I like about the game, these are the things that, in my opinion, brought the game experience down a bit. First of all is the story. The premise is pretty good, Scarecrow brings all of Gothams super criminals together to defeat Batman once and for all, but it's just executed poorly. Villains such as Two-Face and Penguin are left to the side with very short side missions acting as their "contribution" to taking down Batman. And I say "contribution" because all they're doing is making money for themselves. That's it. Also, at one point Poison Ivy says to Batman " It started with a meeting. Everyone was there" when in actuality they were missing villains such as Killer Croc and Bane. It just seems like the trailers and marketing about getting all the villains to work together to take out Batman was a lie because for the most part they all have their own agendas. The second thing I didn't particularly like was the fact that the supposed main villains of the game, Scarecrow and The Arkham Knight, were barely featured or explored as part of the story. They just occasionally talked to Batman through billboard announcements or Batman's radio. Talk about a let down. Scarecrow was hyped up big time in Arkham City and his appearance in Arkham Asylum was the most memorable of the entire Arkham series and in the end he barely gets any screen time. Also, The Arkham Knight's identity was built up to be this big mystery but anyone who knows about the Batman mythos at all knew his identity from the start. That wouldn't be so bad if they introduced him in the previous Arkham games but because they didn't, it just seems rushed and put in without thought. And another thing, The Arkham Knight's personality is so bland and cliché that I can't help but cringe a bit. The only thing he talks about is killing Batman and how much better he is than Batman and I can't help but wish that he would just die like he should have. Another one of my complaints is about the clown prince of crime himself, The Joker. Now don't get me wrong, Mark Hamill still does an amazing job at playing The Joker, but he just shouldn't have had a main roll in this game as he takes all the focus away from Scarecrow and The Arkham Knight. I think he should have been secluded to nightmare sections where Batman is tormented about how he feels responsible for The Jokers death and maybe they could have brought in Talia Al Ghul to further torment Batman. Which is another thing, there were no actual nightmare sections in the game like the ones in Arkham Asylum which were fantastic. The only nightmare sections in this game are the dlc ones and guess what, they're nothing like the ones in Arkham Asylum. They're just simple race tracks for the Batmobile, or newly dubbed Bat-Tank. Which leads me onto my next point which should come as no surprise. The Batmobile is used way to much in this game, which is ironic since the fans asked for it. Me personally, I wouldn't have minded if they didn't include the Batmobile and just stuck to gliding around the city. It's just constantly forced upon you for battling The Arkham Knights forces, disarming bombs around the city, using it to follow tire tracks and hell even The Riddler has made race tracks for Batman to play with. The Riddler challenges that needed the Bat-Tank should have stuck to figuring out puzzles with it, which they did a few times but it was trumped by all the race tracks. Also, there were barely any stealth encounters in the game, which were a big part of previous games.

I could go on about what this game did to lessen my experience but I don't necessarily think this is a bad game. It is still a fun game but I have to take into account what the game did to mess up my experience, which is a shame because I'm a big fan of the other Arkham games. In my opinion it's the best in the series for the gameplay, but the lesser in the series for everything else,

With so many gameplay quirks that could easily be extremely annoying, the devs have done a fantastic job in making everything so intuitive. The graphics are gorgeous, and the side quests engaging. Opinion will continue to be divided on the overuse of tank encounters, but personally I liked them. For me, this is the second best PS4 game released behind The Witcher, and I love it for different reasons; shallow reasons such as the beauty of the graphics and the abundance of explosions. Expand

First, the melee and vehicle combat... As always, the melee combat was superb, although I thought there were too many advanced combos, and it was easier just to stick to the standard combos. For the most part, I enjoyed the use of the Batmobile in this game, but the multiple vehicle stealth sections were terribly implemented. There were too many forced Batmobile sections and sometimes it seemed that Batman was taking a backseat to his own car...

Up next, story and characterization... The story was decent: it was good enough to keep you going through the story without it seeming like a chore, but it was not as good as I would have liked. The Arkham Knight reveal was poor and predictable, and his character was a more annoying than menacing. There were multiple clue drops throughout the game, but not in a subtle way though. It's very obvious by the team he is revealed who he is. In fact, much of the story is predictable, not bad, but predictable. Scarecrow was O.K., but he didn't feel like the main villain and the reasoning behind his plans didn't really add up, I thought. The creative implementation of the Joker was a highlight though, and Mark Hamill was a treat, as always.

Up next, graphics and setting... The graphics are great, not the best, but very good. And the stormy, murky atmosphere was also fantastic. This game takes place in Gotham City so it is a little disappointing that it doesn't feel like a city. As soon as the game starts up, you're given reason to think you'll be playing in this bustling city. It is then immediately evacuated so only criminals remain... Also the fact that this game takes place over a SINGLE night, is a little unrealistic. You easily play this game for over 20 hours and it's supposed to be a single Halloween night. A look at a drizzly and gray Gotham during the day would have been nice to see. Overall, this beautiful city just feels empty with some collectibles scattered throughout.

Batman was a solid addition, but a lackluster conclusion, to the Batman: Arkham series. It's closer to a 7 than an 8, but I'm trying to even out the unfair scores.

There are a few glaring bugs still present in the game which is why I scored it as a 7 where it could have been higher. One of my personal pet peeves is when my control over my character is taken away or diminished, something this game does often. I could overlook it if not for the many unskippable cut-scenes and activities where I'm stripped of all my control and gadgets save one for some specific action that must be taken. It's this mechanic that has caused one of the more troublesome glitches where you become stuck because the game has again limited your ability to control Batman but hasn't provided the object you are supposed to interact with, thus leaving you stuck forever with no choice but to start over or quit. Despite these flaws the game is still enjoyable and I'd say if you're a fan of the series the game is very much worth picking up, though I'd look for it on sale as it's not worth full price in it's current somewhat buggy state. If not for the bugs I'd give it an 8 or 9. If not for all the times in game where I lose control of my avatar for nothing more than a cut-scene or one of the several times I'm forced to stand around and watch scenes play out while I'm restricted to doing nothing but watching (with no way to skip ahead) I would score it higher still. Finished the game 100%, it could have been a lot better.

+ The combat has a few new tricks to it, and overall feels more polished.

+ The gliding mechanics were greatly improved since Arkham City, it is a joy to glide throughout Gotham.

+ Lots of quests and collectables throughout the game. Keeps you interested.

+ Graphically it's quite nice. The new bat-suit is amazing.

+ Apart from the boss fights, the story is pretty decent.

+ There are large groups of goons scattered throughout the city which allow you to engage in "1 VS Many" fights at any time.

    - Bat-mobile tank functions/sections aren't very fun.

    - The game centres far too much around the batmobile. It is required for nearly every mission and to be honest it feels very forced and lazy.

    - Most of the boss fights are tank battles, it is incredibly boring and underwhelming. The boss fights that aren't tank battles are simple predator sections. The only real boss fight is VS The Riddler and even then you spend most of the boss fight battling robots (his goons).

I found the overall story quite satisfying, game play very fun, and highly recommend this game to everyone. They added enough new entries into this third (don't count Batman Origins) game, that it doesn't feel like it's "just the same game" we've been playing for the last six years. I was very happy that the story wasn't the usual six hour long experience as was one of my biggest gripes about this series. Instead, the storyline lasted at least 15 hours for me.

But, if I have to sum up this game in a few simple words it would have to be "a bit too much". It has a great story and adds to the cast of villains you'll encounter. It's great that instead of just mini-games you'll get mini-stories. But in the context of trying to get everything done in one night, it seems out of place having that many side stories where you ask yourself, "Shouldn't the sun be coming up now?". The addition of the Batmobile is great as they knew how to utilize the vehicle, but it's size is a bit too big so when you traverse the streets you are running objects and people over constantly. It literally is "The Bat Tank". In one particular race you have to finish, the size of the track is so small and intricate with objects in the way, and the big mobile so unwieldy that it was more frustrating than fun. Not since the Mako has a vehicle been so groaned over by me. And the use of the vehicle, although used smartly a few times, was mostly overused as a good 40% of the game is repetitive missions of chasing cars down or fighting of drone tanks of the Arkham Knight.

The city of Gotham itself is great and it's huge to explore being divided up into three islands. Gotham archipelago? Yet, being completely devoid of people except for thugs and drone tanks, and nothing to do but chase criminals down and fight off numerous checkpoints, it's too big. There was just no reason, as I was gliding around town, for me to want to swoop down and take out these areas of criminals because there was no one to save; the city was evacuated within the first few minutes of the game. What a bummer. It's not really an open world without people to interact with.

What kills the game at the end is trying to finish the final piece of the story, "Kinghtfall Protocal", by getting 100% of the game. It'll take you hours and hours of mindless minigames of collecting riddler's trophies (247) and fighting off the Arkham Knights drone tanks (1,434) to reach it. I gave up after about finding 40 some trophies and 600 some tanks. Enough is enough! Just watch the two minute sequence on Youtube. It should have never have that much effort to watch the very end of the story and that's why I dropped my score down and extra point to a seven when it should have been an eight.

I could honestly listen to the Joker commentate about batman doing his job all day. The human combat scenes were fun and pretty enjoyable and similar to the last Arkham games while still seeming new and interesting. Completing storylines and missions was incredibly fun and mostly not tedious, with the exception of the riddler's storyline.

Cons: When the batmobile was initially introduced I was excited. The batmobile had a really cool combat system and was a lot of fun for the player. This combat system and the tank combat time, however, was COMPLETELY overused. In fact, it went from the point where I absolutely loved the tank gameplay to almost quitting the game because of it's repetitiveness. Another large con that brought this game down was the lack of boss battles. The tank boss battles were very anticlimactic, tedious, and, for a lack of better words, stupid. Death stroke beaten in a tank boss battle? Really? The last con is the lack of free roaming with catwoman. Catwoman free roaming in Arkham city was possibly the best idea in the entire Arkham series. With catwoman it feels like your playing a new game entirely while being just as fun. For some reason, though, game developers couldn't continue that in Arkham Knight, even though they let you play as catwoman in the riddler challenges.

Despite the three large cons, everything else about this game was really enjoyable. You really can't go wrong with a game in the Arkham series, especially considering that this is probably the worst out of the series and is still really enjoyable.

Arkham Knight is a great game and a great Batman Game. And, in my personal opinion, a much better game than Arkham City (which I do think is a bit overrated). I think Rocksteady did a fantastic work with the franchise on this new generation giving 'more of the same' in the best possible way. And with a plus: the batmobile.

The batmobile is the big thing about AK. It's like the game keeps giving you excuses to drive, meaning that AK is more of a ground experience other than a rooftop experience. But it comes with a price. Some missions make driving feel clunky and frustrating. I did not like the Riddler's racing missions, for instance.

The main story is interesting and has nice twists. Mark Hamill does an incredible work as the Joker and the game had several moments that got me in awe, saying to myself "wow, this is cool". It's a fantastic game that everyone should play.

My ONLY problem with the game, though - something that is kind of a deal-breaker - is the way the game forces you to achieve a certain % in order to finish. And for a sand-box game I think this is quite questionable. If a player decides to do only the main story, they should be allowed to do so. AK does not allow that. Even if you finish the main story you are FORCED to complete more than 80% of the sidequests in order to see an ending AT ALL. And I'm not talking about watching the good ending, like so many games do. I'm talking about ACTUALLY SEEING THE CREDITS ROLL. If you don't reach the quota, you don't finish the game. It's simple as that. And that's BULLSH*T.

Let me start by saying I am 97% complete with the entire game and have played all the previous Arkham titles. This review is based on the PS4 version.

Story: The main campaign story is decent. The interactions with Joker are easily the highlight of the campaign. There are several moments that gave me goosebumps and caused me to play that extra 2 hours to see what happened next.

Unfortunately, there is a lot of filler and the main villain is probably the least interesting character in the story. There is definitely a theme of investigate this, fight this guy, have a neutral outcome, and repeat. The biggest disappointment in the story was the Arkham Knight's reveal. It was foreshadowed much earlier on in the campaign and the hours of game play leading up to the reveal is rather frustrating since you know what is coming, yet hoops must be jumped through to get there. The side missions were fun for the first few rounds, but became VERY repetitive. The second biggest problem with the story is the fact you have to 100% every mission to see the full ending. Completionists may argue for this approach, however this is such a theatrical and story driven franchise that wasting hours and hours of collecting the hundreds of Riddler trophies sucks all the joy out of getting to see that full ending. 6/10

Game play: The combat is excellent as always. There is a lot of forgiveness in the sense that you can leap and punch people from tens of meters away and leap back to the previous enemy with a touch of a button. The early fights of the game are very easy. The more you progress, the harder the fights become. You won't get away with just spamming the punch button and I found the fights to be challenging, fair, and enjoyable. The two worst parts of the game mechanics are the batmobile and the "boss battles". First the batmobile is truely awesome.... for about the first 30 minutes. After you have played with it, realized how powerful you are, and leaped from the tops of buildings into the car, you quickly realize again the repetition required for every instance where the batmobile is required. Every encounter is boiled down to A) Guard X while it is assaulted by drones or B) Use the power winch to climb/charge Y. Some sequences are extra creative by combining the previously mentioned encounters. 4/10 for repetition of sequences and use of the batmobile.

Appearance: Gotham looks amazing. It is a shame that the PC version won't work properly because I can imagine that this game would be gorgeous. I encountered a few minor glitches that did not effect playing but did take away from the immersion. The voice acting is excellent as expected from the Arkham series. 8/10

Overall: Though I find this game VERY repetitive, it still kept my attention. I will say that I am biased because I just like batman. If you're not a completionist or into batman lore, I would think that many players would grow tired of the game at about the half way point. The repetition and predictable reveal bring the overall rating to a 6/10

Overall this is a must buy game for Batman & Arkham fans. There were no issues with the Batmobile fights (it had to be included orelse people would have been criticising saying this is as same as Arkham city), the main problem was no boss fights & Arkham knight (Duhhhhhhh).

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The epic finale of the Arkham trilogy takes place several months later after the events of Arkham City where Scarecrow comes back for revenge by threatening Gotham by using his brand new fear toxin to destroy the city with the help of a brand new character called the Arkham Knight. This is another great game that we are all excited for with amazing gameplay of using your batmobile for the first time in the series. There are only two very minor problems i had with the game, sometimes there will be points where the game will make you use your batmobile a lot but that doesn't mean that the batmobile suck though. Another one contains spoiler about the Arkham Knight, he is a brand new character created for this specific game. So its a really big mystery about who is the Arkham Knight and why he also wants revenge from Batman. Unfortunately Jason Todd is the Arkham Knight, so he is basically the Red Hood in the Arkham series. He was never mentioned in this series until Batman starts having flashback of him for no reason really. They just probably added that for the people who have absolutely no idea who Jason Todd is. I wish it could have been someone else that we know in the Arkham series or make Jason Todd more involved in the series(probably during Arkham Asylum?). I love the Arkham Knight though, but not Jason Todd playing as him. Overall beside those two problems (which isn't really a big deal), gameplay is awesome and this is a fantastic finale in the series

After the great titles Asylum and City, I thought it would be a no brainer how good Arkham Knight would be.

Also, the story timeline of everything happening in a night just does not seem to make sense. The storyline feels more like a two hour movie. It would have been nice to see some innovation like spreading the game out over day and night. The story did not allow for this, but in the long run it probably would have been a more engaging story. Bat by night. Billionaire by day.

The DLC thus far has been lackluster and more of a time sink than an enjoyable experience. The Riddler trophy grind (yes I did it) was a sorry excuse for extending the life of the game. This is a game that takes less than 10 hours even on hard mode to beat. The ending (even the secret one) is pretty lame and leaves a lot open to interpretation.

For some reason the game felt smaller than Arkham City as well. I know that is not the case, but given the presentation it just felt smaller.

Considering i didnt play the first two so i could be set up for this plot, it really didnt matter to me, this game is just to enthralling not to read in to every single detail of the settings, characters and hidden eggs you see along the way defeating each villain. I simply could not get enough, i loved how they used Christopher Nolans batman series as reference. The toxin threat from "batman begins" , the use of the joker (even though it was over played) from " the dark knight" and the mass amount of armies and thug take overs just like Banes plan in Rises. I am so sad that this is only a triology, i ended up completing the story and buying elder scrolls and the witcher 3 only to go back so i can 100% the game. I know fan boys who are upset about the batmobile and using joker way to much but get over it. Just think of the man hours put in to this enthralling game, Shame on you for voting it anything less then a 7. Rocksteady out did themselves on this one, another problem i only have with this game is that i wish there were way more villains rather then 240 riddler trophies they could have implemented them way more. Technically the game is very good on PS4, cut scenes seamlessly intergrated into gameplay and the design is rich and textured. Gameplay is what you expect from the Batman games, not much has changed but if it ain't broke..
The story.....the poorest yet in a Batman game, a woeful imbalance between the main story and the endless and repetitive side quests, Scarecrow is heard but seldom seen, Arkham Knight - so well shown in the trailers - turns out to be a bit of a bore. A clever return of Joker being the only highlight for me.
The Batmobile.......Probably the biggest mistake by the makers was forcing the car down gamers throats instead of leaving it as an optional choice of game play, yes you do end up hating the bloody thing as it seems batman can't fart without help from the batmobile.
Glaring character omissions and under use seem deliberate for the obvious rip off future dlc.
Catwoman was such a hit as a playable character in City but woefully sidelined here, I suspect gamers will have to pay to play as her in a future dlc.

I played it thru once and found about 80% of riddlers stuff, but I really feel no desire to play the game again.

A poor end to the franchise for me.

But that doesn't interfere with the superb gameplay which is, quite frankly so perfect that you have to admire the developers skill. In terms of the batmobile entering the fray. It's functionable, easy to use once you get used to it. As an addition however, considering the gameplay I don't think it was necessary, the game holds up, even without the batmobile.

The story is great, the side quest are plentiful and the game makes you feel like the world's greatest detective. However, the game decides to ruin everything. All of Batman's enemies are free following the disaster of Arkham City but your only able to fight against a handful of them. To add insult to injury the boss battles are by far the weakest of the series. Several of the boss battles consist of Batmobile fights, aka and generic tank battle. I love the addition of the batmobile but not when I am fighting a featured villain. It is hard not to blame Warner Brothers for the missed connection of this game. I can almost picture Rocksteady telling Warner they need to delay the launch for a couple months to put in the final touches and Warner saying "screw that, release whatever you got and sell the fans the rest over the next six months. They keep forcing you into batmobile puzzles and just waves of the same drones over and over witch do get very frustrating and very annoying throughout the game. The plot is very good in my opinion. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game is pretty solid with brilliant gameplay and fantastic game design. The city itself looks very detailed and the new batsuit looks quite fantastic as well. The combat is every bit as fun with new combos and new variations in thugs. The story is good enough, not as good as City. The villains seemed very dull with limited apperances. The reveal of the Arkham Knight was pretty obvious and the character itself is quite weak. The lack of boss fights is a negetive as all the confrontation between batman and the villains were demostrated through cutscenes. Another problem is the overuse of the Batmobile. Granted the batmobile is quite fun to do combat with when you are taking out enemy drones but the racing sequences do get a bit annoying at times. The side missions are fun but can feel repetitve at times. Also you cannot see the full ending unless you have completed all side missions.

Yes there are times when the sheer volume of drones or bad guys sporting machine guns, shock gloves and blades are a little bit frustrating but satisfying when they fall and I guess that is the whole point of being the caped crusader, being out manned and out gunned yet still coming up victorious. The Bat mobile serves as a break up from swinging from roof top to roof top and beating hench men to a pulp and if like me you don't mind the drone shooting there is a particularly satisfying part towards the end of the game triggered by a count down and then BOOM!.
Overall very very good and well worth the time invested.

This game is amazing. I think that is not as good as Arkham City, still I believe that it is one of the best games this year ( behind MKX and Wither 3), the as great perfomances from Mark Hammil and Kevin Conroy and the best graphics in recent memory
My biggest problem with this game is the lack of hand-to.hand boss battles and the overuse of the batmobile.

The story is quite good but most certainly the weakest out of the franchise due to the fact that it's predictable(with one exception that saves the story from being weak) and 80% of it takes after director Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Rises. The combat is excellent, easily the best in a Rocksteady game to date; the voice acting is top notch, the characters are great, the graphics are amazing. And that's all the pros of the game.
The side missions are fun but weaker than the ones in Arkham City; the Riddler challenges aren't that interesting anymore since they've been done again and again; and the batmobile, which is a mixed bag in and of itself. It feels very fluid and fun to drive it throughout the(rather small and lifeless) city, but the part where it turns into a tank and fights drones, while fun, gets a little repetitive at one point.
If you are a Batman fan like I am, then you certainly must buy this game; if you're not, you might still enjoy the excellent combat and entertaining batmobile rides. Love it or hate it, this game is a good, albeit faulty, send off for Rocksteady's version of the The Dark Knight.

As is often the case, the overarching black-and-white hero versus villain story is far less interesting than the hero’s journey itself. Batman’s personal trials as he fights to protect his friends and city, all the while struggling with a slight descent into madness brought on by the Joker’s dying legacy, is well captured here.

Despite some of its more convoluted Dead Parentsaspects, the characterisations and accompanying stories were quite moving, particularly the origins of the Arkham Knight. However something that I believe to be an ill-advised design choice on Rocksteady’s behalf was to lock the true ending to the game behind 100% completion of all the main and side quests. This would be fine if it weren’t for the Riddler challenges, of which there are a staggering 243. These range from simply finding trophies, to solving visual riddles or destroying specific objects that are littered around Gotham. Many of the aforementioned trophies are linked to puzzles that you must solve in order to get to them. These puzzles are incredibly varied and well-designed, and make complete use of all your gadgets, including the Batmobile.

It is immensely rewarding to complete all of the arrogant trickster’s challenges, but it takes almost the same amount of time playing the main game to get absolutely all of them. While I enjoyed this aspect, I imagine there will be a vocal few who won’t have the patience to persevere with the challenges, and without the true ending you aren’t really given a satisfying ending at all. The true ending (which you can view here), also poses more questions than it answers, and while dramatic and well-presented, does not give a sense of finality to the tale.

Arkham Knight is an interesting blend of many different gameplay systems. Part brawler, part stealth, part detective, part vehicular shenanigans, it takes many varied elements and does a good job of stitching them together into a cohesive whole. There is a high degree of visual and gameplay polish, and an interesting (if a little murky at times) multi-faceted story. However, during my playthrough I couldn’t shake the feeling that perhaps Rocksteady lost sight of the core of the Arkham games, and Arkham Knight ends up being only a little better than the sum of its parts.

Lucky then that each of these parts are so well-crafted, but when I look back on this series, it is Arkham Asylum that I will remember most fondly.

The Arkham Knight is the some what focus of this game (Hints the name) and he is a unknown villain hell bent on bringing Batman to his kneels and getting his revenge. Him and his Men are the most prepared and well armed when it comes to fighting the Batman. The combat to the game is very fluid and smooth with only a few times where you get mad at Batman for not doing even remotely close to what you wanted him to, other then those odd points the combat is very enjoyable. The environments mostly give you multiple ways to handle a situation rather it be stealth from below/above or a all out brawl or something in-between. The addition of the Batmobile adds a whole new level of combat to the game with the ability to call in the Tank/Super Car with a press of a button you are able to use it to take out enemy checkpoints, Tanks or whatever you need. The Batmobile is extremely fun to drive with it smashing through parts of builds and pushing cars, Also drifting corners and hitting jumps is fun. There are a few Riddler challenges and story missions that build some puzzles around the Batmobile witch can get boring and repetitive but still nice to see them work the vehicle into some puzzles. The game is also full of things to do with tons of side missions to track down and finish, from Hostage's to save,Murders to Solve or other villains to hunt down and lock up. The story to me was a amazing story exploring points of the Batman universe that are extremely well known and close to the fans of the series, anyone who is a slight fan of the Batman universe will instantly love the story of Arkham Knight. The game looks beautiful, Environments are extremely detailed and it gives the feeling of immersion and really pulls you into the story.Arkham Knight Isn't a perfect game but it's really close, if you a fan of past Batman games or a Batman Nerd like myself you will love this game but if your not invested in the world of Batman you may not have the same experience but I'm sure it'll still be enjoyable. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Arkham Knight has as many triumphs as it has flaws. Start with the premise: Scarecrow and the Arkham Knight join forces to destroy Batman in front of a watching world using a weapon of mass destruction as a metaphorical whip. It's the plot of Dark Knight Rises only the emotion toll on Batman isn't profoundly demonstrated. At the same time, that giant gas bomb gives a good reason for the city to be entirely empty except for thousands of henchmen and rioters and a few policemen and firefighters. Right there is a missed opportunity to rescue a few stragglers who refused to get on the buses. Rescuing the firefighters was actually quite enjoyable and made me feel like Batman. At the same time, some of the other missions felt tacked on. Chasing Firefly was a lazy excuse to further justify the existence of the Batmobile. Testing Azrael was little more than a combat challenge and busting two face was just a run of the mill stealth challenge. It was still enjoyable, but wasn't as special as it could've been considering this was the last installment. Chasing man-bat was different and tracking the pig-man was excellent but way too easy. I feel there was an opportunity for greater involvement with allies and the rogue's gallery. I'm sure more will be added by dlc. Probably not enough to make me return to the game. A major critique is the Bat-weapon-of-mass-pacification. Having the Batmobile as it was is completely against character. It was a tank with guns. Further, to justify its presence there are unmanned tanks. This in itself is a logic gap. The Arkham Knight, knowing Batman would never intentionally kill but wanting to destroy Batman wouldn't just put guys in the tanks, he'd strap innocent people to the armor. Further, the Riddler "trials" were not just tedious but infuriating. Having to collect all the trophies (and yes I eventually did because I'm a masochist) to get the actual ending is just mean. Didn't we complain about the copious Riddler trophies in the last installment? There were shining moments in the plot, in layout of the missions, and the pure breath of this installment. But large parts were additions that weren't needed and ripoffs that were done right the first time. The Arkham Knight / Red Hood plot point was very heavy handed and way too obvious even after we were told the Knight would be a "new" character. It was fun being Batman once more, but it was better the first time... And the second time. Expand

Best Batman game ever. Super clever puzzles, excellent and satisfying combat. The introduction of the Bat-mobile was very well made, I thought it would be on rails, but actually you can go almost anywhere even vertically sometimes. A nice range of different activities makes it diversified. Buildings around the city look unique and there is lots of attention to details.

Despite the PC version plagued by an assortment of bugs and game-play issues, the PS4 version surfers from very little of problems. Yes there are glitches and the textures are not as good for this generation, but the game is playable. As with Asylum Batman encountered the longest night of his life; in Arkham Knight Batman faces death on more than one occasion, watching things falling apart around him including saying bye to some long time allies as well as foes.

The main game is amazing with the free flow system better than ever. You can get your Batman on without the season pass which in my opinion is unnecessary if the Batgirl play-through was a complete letdown. In other words get the game but forgo the $40.00 for the season pass or wait for the game of the year to get the DLC.

They have a great mix of difficulty, however, Arkham knight was very difficult. Mostly the driving. I love that in the Arkham series that each game is an improvement from the previous game. Most games diminish in quality as the series continues. Also I love that they improve the game without taking away what makes the series great. A great variety of characters that you normally don't get to see are seen, but I felt that the villains were scarcily seen. I love that this game makes you feel more like a detective with more uses of gadgets and investigations. The graphics are beautiful and gameplay is smooth but very hard at times. The batmobile mechanics are cool. I won't reveal much but you'll be surprised what it is capable of. On to the cons. There are hardly any boss fights and the ones that are in it are ridiculously easy. Nothing like the great boss fights of Arkham Origins. There are several villains in this game, I would have love to actually fought them. The game set an entirely different mood than the previous games since the city is empty throughout 99.9% of the game. The setting was in my opinion depression. Still this game is worth trying. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. If this is the final game in the acclaimed arkham franchise, I can say the series will not go out on a sour note. It offers fun, entertaining, varied gameplay, a story which is more about character drama and relationships more than previous arkham games, and great visuals and animations.

The story centers around batman saving a deserted Gotham from scarecrow and his accomplice, the new villain on the block: the arkham knight. It sounds simple yes, but paired with the amazing performances of actors such as Kevin conroy, Jonathan banks, and John Noble, many plot twists, and the character development and drama that goes on in between segments of bashing thug's heads in, makes it a hell of a ride. While the arkham Knights true identity is a letdown, and comic book fans will know miles away, it has plenty of other surprises in store, and a final act which made me cry tears of joy as they did the establishing shot. Overall, I enjoyed the main story.

Peppered throughout the huge open world are many side quests to participate in. The "most wanted" jobs consist of you taking out some of gotham's worst, and foiling their schemes. Included are two-face, whose goal is to rob banks, penguin, whose gun shipments must be destroyed, and of course the riddler, who has his ever presence all over the hub with his precious green trophies. One spoiler I am going to include is that deathstroke is in the game, and wants revenge after the events of arkham origins. I was excited, for he was the highlight of that game for me. I expected his boss fight to be arkham origins 5x, But nope, just a tank battle. One spoiler that I am not going to include, is my favorite most wanted mission, which finds batman tracking bodies to a mysterious serial killer, and one of bat man's wackiest foes. That was a better boss battle than deathstroke's. Overall though, these side missions offered much variety and a good 10+ hours of gameplay after the main story.

The gameplay is as good as ever in this one. It consists of the usuals, beating up thugs with epic free flow combat, gliding around the city from above, and (my favorite part of arkham games) the stealthy predator encounters. Combat is a highlight, introducing many different enemy types and gadgets. Predator on the other hand, falls just short for me in arkham knight. Most of the encounters take place outside, taking away the claustrophobic, enclosed sections that the other games had. The huge new feature though (which you know from the trailers) is the ability to drive the batmobile. I found driving the thing immensely fun, speeding after thugs and militia is extremely entertaining. Tank combat on the other hand. These tank encounters are way too many throughout the game, not to mention they got boring fast after the first 5 or so. The good thing though is that this adds more variety to the gameplay.

For me, batman: arkham knight is the second best arkham game (the first being asylum.) I had a blast the whole trip, and it is a perfect conclusion for rocksteady's epic arkham trilogy. 8/10

Not only do the character models look brilliant and really show the facial expressions and weathered effects of the characters but they make the surroundings feel real and are a blast to explore. Gotham City is lively and feels like a run down city which is helped by the constant rain which just adds to the visual candy. The visuals in this game really show what the PS4 is capable of and it is definitely the best looking game in my collection.

Of course, the visuals are just the icing on the cake and when I play through a game I like to enjoy the story as it makes the experience all that more satisfying. Unfortunately, the story was fairly mediocre at best. I did enjoy thoroughly playing through the story for the most part but it wasn't gripping and certain aspects were a little too predictable. The new character who was actually originally made for the game is given in the title and known as the Arkham Knight. I feel like this character was slightly lazy and could've been used better in the story as the only reason he wants batman dead is because "ooh I hate batman the most and I know his tricks so I can kill him.". As well as being underdeveloped it was made extremely obvious who the Arkham Knight's identity was with the foreshadowing which was practically writing his name on the walls. It seems evident that the arkham knight was forced into the story in order the keep the word "Arkham" in the game title as when he is inevitably defeated (is that really a spoiler?) it makes no difference to the story as Scarecrow was the one actually threatening Gotham City and posing any sort of a threat. The Arkham Knight aside, the rest of the villains were portrayed very well with the exception of the riddler looking like he's going through a midlife crisis and can't even bring himself to button up his shirt anymore but nevertheless the entire cast were voiced wonderfully and the script writing was engaging and well written. I especially loved the lines the thugs would randomly spew out as you were travelling along Gotham City and I found myself laughing at a lot of the things that were said. Most of the things they came out with were actually relevant to the plot too which was always very fun to hear. There were multiple references to Arkham City and it was clear that the plot may have been more enjoyable had I played the previous games but the story is enjoyable to both veterans and newcomers alike.

Finally the most important feature of any video game: the gameplay. First off the game is almost perfectly optimized for PS4 and works like a charm. I say almost because I did encounter a few glitches throughout my experience including a "falling through the floor" glitch which I would say is probably fairly rare and I'm just stupid. With that out of the way I think it is best that I point out the obvious fly in the ointment: the batmobile. Yes, what has been the main promotion for this game and what fans have supposedly been begging for since the first Arkham game was released is finally here and of course they've crammed it down our throats at every opportunity they got and after a while it becomes hard to breathe. In my opinion one of the main flaws of this game is indeed the main gimmick of this game and like all gimmicks the effect wears off quickly when you're using it for almost every mission in the story. As I have said previously I did thoroughly enjoy the story but in an attempt to make the game more "badass" the batmobile is needlessly slapped around your face until well after your cheeks have torn off. Whilst I didn't hate the batmobile, I did get extremely sick of it, especially towards the end of the game as the combat does not change in the slightest. There are two modes for the batmobile: driving and battle mode. Obviously the driving mode is for speeding around Gotham City and despite the floaty controls I didn't have too much of a problem with the feel of racing around in the dark knights compensator but then there is the battle mode which believe me you will know all about by the end. The batmobile is used in every chance they can possibly get to fight off tanks and it gets very monotonous as despite the upgrades and additional perks the fights are repetitive and become boring especially when they're not even challenging. Even most bosses are replaced by tank battles which was very disappointing as any climax is destroyed by the boring action shooting. Luckily it's not used much in the side missions which are actually really fun and add a lot to the experience. Also when the combat is used it is extremely fun and smooth and despite being simple to learn it soon gets very challenging to master but I found myself purposely fighting thugs just to use it more. There are also stealth missions which I am horrible at but they were tough and fun to figure out ways of taking out thugs without being seeing as it was done very well.

The game does not use the Batmobile. It is Batmobile. It forces you to use it in missions and assumes you are using it all the time between them (i.e. It's faster to glide and fly through the city to the next mission marker, but when you get there you usually have to enter the batmobile to start it AS IF YOU DROVE THERE. You use batmobile to blow up tanks, stun guys, open doors, beat time challenges and do boss fights. Don't buy this. It's overhyped and plain bad

This game is fun. Incredibly fun. The difficulty curve at the end is a little too hard, but can be solved by dialing the difficulty down a little bit. I would love to give this game a 9.5 or even a 10, but there are some game-freezing glitches. The game could have been so much better if it was just delayed one month.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Note: my actual rating for this one would probably be around 7.7

First thing's first, the aspect that practically makes or breaks the game for you. The Batmobile. I myself share a love-hate relationship with it. Let me put it this way, the Batmobile, as a gameplay aspect, is pretty damn cool. Racing through Gotham in the fast paced crime chasing vehicle through an open world. However, as cool as it is, it's undeniably shoved down your throat. To clarify, the Batmobile is a mode of transport, so why the hell am I using it for everything else as well? Quest, puzzles, indoors, outdoors, boss battles. Eventually, it got to the point where I found myself avoiding use of the batmobile as much as possible because I just wanted to be Batman. Not to mention, the tank drones and helicopters are gathered in hordes to force the player to be use the batmobile more often. Not only is that annoying in terms of taking choice away from the player, it's annoying in that it takes away the essence of being Batman, the master strategist, hand to hand master, with a utility belt full of awesome crap, who always wins via his wit.
Really, that's what the Arkham games thrived on, capturing the essence of being the feared Dark knight.
    Does this game do that?
When you're playing as Batman, yes, since not much has changed in terms of Batman's gameplay, I'll list the changes that really stuck out. The new Fear Multi Takedown REALLY captures that feeling of being Batman, jumping out of nowhere to take out one crook then taking out the other while he's still too shocked to attack.
In terms of writing and what not, Batman is very much himself, breaking bones, solving mysteries with high tech, pushing onward no matter how bad the odds are.
In terms of the sidequests, I was taken by surprise by a lot of the villains. Notably Man-Bat, and Pyg were ones I didn't expect. Nightwing showing up was great too, though he didn't really get enough of a role as he should. Honestly, a lot of characters you'd hope would be in there were either absent or just plain cameos.
    As for the graphics, awesome.
As for the boss battles, horrid.
As for the story... as a comic book fan, let me put it this way, for the most part it's damn good, but it felt tainted by ghost-writing from Jeph loeb.
Notably, there are parts where everything just feels... forced. Batman neutralizing the blast, seemingly giving his life, only for the batmobile to save him at the last second. The situation where the cowl is removed is the exact kind of situation where Batman is known for turning the tide last second. Arkham Knight's identity being obvious, he's basically just saying everything he said AFTER he was revealed to be Red Hood in the comics . In fact, now that I think about it. The Arkham Knight himself was pretty much unnecessary to the story, except to shoehorn in a more powerful foe. Especially considering the highlights of the original Knightfall arc were what happened AFTER the Bat was broken, with the then new criminal Bane, and Bruce's replacement going murderous. The most entertaining parts of the story are against Scarecrow, who made for quite the antagonist on his own. I also loved Joker in this one, even from the grave still managing to cause chaos and torment everyone

In the end, the game could have easily been a 9 for me, ironically though, a lot of Arkham Knight's flaws came not from what it didn't do, but what it did. The Batmobile may have been awesome, but there were times where I wanted to be Batman, the militia may have been formidable, but they not only took away exploration, but in doing so took away the player's ability to be a fearsome creature of the night by limiting the number of ways to tackle the situation. There is a sidequest to lessen the militia presence, however, so it really depends on how willing you are to do said sidequest.
Again, Arkham Knight is a great game, but there is a lot of crap you have to be willing to tolerate in order to get to the parts that make it great.

Batman Arkham Knight is a beautiful game with tasteful visuals, a deep and engaging story and a combat system that is as smooth as ever, but there is a few things which brings it down.

The Gameworld is the prettiest it's ever been with a massive open world full of stuff to do, Gotham looks pretty in its ugliness from the intimidating skyscrapers to the glistening wet streets. The enemies are well detailed with believable facial expressions and body movements and Batman looks awesome in his new suit. This game makes even Robin look cool.

The combat isn't just copy and pasted from Arkham City either, they've added new counters, new enemy tactics, new gadgets and new enemy combatants. The predator sections are awesome with new movement systems that allow you to move around and take out enemies smoothly but it's still challenging, one misstep and you mess up your grove and get pounded buy a horde of goons.

The Most wanted missions are also something worth sinking your teeth into if you crave more bad guy brutalisation, most are check list occupation missions like disable the gun tower but others allow you to take on super villains such as Two-Face or the Riddler. The side missions have story elements that actually matter which I think is how side missions should be done.

The story is engaging and keeps you on edge, it does pull some cheap shots though for the sake of drama and you figure out who the Arkham Knight is quite early if you pay attention which ruins the surprise.

The Batmobile is where the game looses its 10/10 because even though getting around would be a pain in the a** and the gameplay is fun, the game relies too much on it making most of the boss fights tank battles, one which annoyed me so much is that Deathstoke my favourite villain is restricted to an easy tank battle and then defeated with a single hit, I personally wanted to go mano e mano and have a proper fist fight but alas they cheated me out of my satisfaction there.

All in all this game is a near perfect homage to the Batman Arkham series and is worthy of our respect.

Thank you Rocksteady for one hell of a ride.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I love Asylum, City, and Origins so much. I had high hopes for this game. I would rate Asylum and City as prett much perfect games. I had no reason to think that Arkham Knight would be anything other than a masterpiece. The trailers were exceptional, the game play looked to expand the already amazing game play put forth in the previous games, the graphics are phenomenal, and we were going to have a Batmobile to cruise the streets of Gotham with. What could go wrong? How could this be anything other than incredible?
My biggest complaint with Arkham Knight is the story. This is the final Arkham game (at least for Rocksteady) and Arkham City set the stage for an epic balls to the wall grand finale for the story they started in Arkham Asylum. City almost broke all the rules and had the balls to kill off a major character. So Arkham Knight's story really could have gone anywhere. The problem is the story of Arkham Knight holds no real surprises. I loved the thought of a mysterious new villain coming into the picture. Who is the Arkham Knight? My mind was preparing to be completely blown... Instead it is such an obvious reveal and the story makes no attempt to make you think it could be anyone other than Jason Todd that when the Arkham Knight finally removed his mask the only real reaction to be had is disappointment. It's really insulting to fans that Rocksteady thought we would be surprised by this reveal. Who was this surprise intended to impact? So much time is dedicated to the mystery of who the Arkham Knight is... It makes you wonder what was the point? Why all the mystery? Why lie and make us think it is an original character?
Instead of making a meaningful dramatic finale story based around the already amazing villains who already exist in the Arkham Universe the bulk of the story is dedicated to the Arkham Knight.... who really does nothing. He spends millions on a army of drones and a militia trained to destroy Batman yet the plan from the beginning is to kill Batman at the right time! The Arkham Knight wants to kill Batman but every time he goes to, the Scarecrow wants him to wait for the right time... so what is this huge army supposed to really do? They can't kill Batman because that would kill the master plan? So why does the Arkham Knight need this army? What are they supposed to do when they fight Batman because they can't kill him? What's the point?
The entire plot is convoluted and kind of pointless... ultimately to shoehorn Batman into the Knightfall Protocol? Why does Bruce Wayne need to "die" if no one really seems to care that he is Batman?
Then there is the Joker. I understand why his presence is needed in the story. The Arkham franchise had been about the Joker as much as it has been about Batman. However i was excited to see a game where the Joker did not play a major role in the story. I wanted to see a story that moved past the Joker and left him behind to drive forward into new exciting territory. So once again if they go to the trouble to kill off such a major character to only have him be present around every corner in the game... what was the point of killing him off?
Next is the Batmobile... This was perhaps the thing i was the most excited for but really is my least favorite part of the game. I don't like how much focus of the game is centered on the Batmobile. Shooting drones takes over about a third of the game? It feels like filler to me? It's repetitive and dull. That time would have been better served dealing with existing Batman villains.
Which leads me to my next point. There are about 14 villains in the game but it feels like there are about five. No one is really given anything significant or interesting to do in Arkham Knight. Penguin is smuggling weapons, Two Face is robbing banks, Hush is transferring money, Scarecrow is monologing, the Riddler is building racetracks, Catwoman is a damzel in distress, ect. There are no boss battles! Why do we care what any of these villains are doing here? Penguin falls for Batman's trick five times and never adapts to it!
The Man Bat was an exciting addition but all you do is glide up and tackle him three times.
Next is there is no real environmental story telling. There is this massive incredibly rendered environment to explore but nothing really to find. 95% of the game takes place outside and there are no real set pieces like Wonder Tower or the Museum like in City. The previous games felt like they were real environments where the villains had craved out a place for themselves to live or operate out of. But the Gotham City somehow feels completely empty and devoid of real character.
I think ultimately Rocksteady focused so much on the Batmobile and the Arkham Knight "reveal" that in the end all we have is a beautiful game that is technically a really fun game to play. ... but that has an uninspired story, a story that does nothing significant to give the characters any real progression or finality to the Arkham narrative.

My only complaint was that you need to do 100% of the missions to see the definitive ending, because the game is not really over after defeating the scarecrow in the main story. The majority of these tasks are fun and interesting enough to motivate us to complete it, but have to collect all the Riddler's trophies is a pain in the a**!!!!! It's hard work and nothing pleasant to do. I tried, but i couldn't deal with it and got frustrated because i really wanted to see the conclusion to the story. Here you will see another side to Batman, his flaws his anger, the rage that drives him you can see familiarity's in his character physic when you compare him to the Dark Knight Returns animated series a man who is willing to sacrifice for his own self completion, his motives are straight forward and no one will stop his anger from prevailing over his foes, with Kevin Conroy back to voiceHere you will see another side to Batman, his flaws his anger, the rage that drives him you can see familiarity's in his character physic when you compare him to the Dark Knight Returns animated series a man who is willing to sacrifice for his own self completion, his motives are straight forward and no one will stop his anger from prevailing over his foes, with Kevin Conroy back to voice the Batman this brought the Batmans anger to another level of rage the rage we are supposed to see.

I can see that Developer Rocksteady have gained inspiration from Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy particular Batman Begins were as the previous games were more comic book based, Compared to the previous two games the threat is on a much bigger scale similar to the threat difference to say Batman Begins and the Dark Knight Rises.
The final game is more grounded and is set to appeal to the wider audience which is why the game has its flaws particularly the overuse of the Batmobile, disappointing boss fights and Drone Battles and repetitive voice commands such as (Rattler Down!)

But then again these minor flaws didnt deterrent from how awesome it was to have a Batmobile this monster is intimidating on top of that the driving mechanics were flawless so easy to drive throughout Gotham City, I admire Rocksteady's work of innovation gameplay rather than the same game again, As the Batman you are able to exit in and out the Batmobile flawlessly without distraction, then through remote control you are able to call on it whenever you need it and on top of that it comes with Battlemode with the touch of a button this mammoth turns into a force to be reckoned with called Battlemode ready for battle seeing the transformation from Battlemobile to Battlemode is sooo cool. The Batmobile is fun and engaging the driving mechanics and battlemode work flawlessly together and is one of Batman's coolest gadgets it feels like a needed necessity to progress in the game rather than just a placement.

If you have played the previous Arkham games you will feel right at home here if not it will take some time to master the game, most of the same fighting techniques, gadgets and gameplay mechanics are back with some additional improvements such as fear takedowns were Batman is able to take down multiply foes at one time, being able to use weapons such as Bats against other foes, environmental takedowns such as smashing an enemy's head into a electrical circuit (I don't know if that covers Batman Do not Kill Policy) and gadgets such as the Disrupter that disables enemy's weapons, all possible and curtsey of Lucious Fox which are all needed when your going up against an army of mercenaries a Scarecrow and the likes of Harley Quinn, Penguin and Two face.

    Perks
    Batmobile is fun and engaging
The driving mechanics and battle work flawlessly together
    John Noble voice of Scarecrow
    Kevin Conroy voice as Batman
    Stunning Graphics
    The Story's twist's and turns
The mind boggling events that accor
Added layers to combat mechanics such as environmental takedowns and duo takedowns
A satisfying conclusion to a remarkable trilogy
Side Storys indept story arch's from some of the best comic book villians in the DC Universe

    Negatives
    Too many Drone Battles
The Arkham Knight doesn't live up to the Title
Boss fights were somewhat disapointing and few

    Verdict
Batman Arkham Knight has it's flaws but developer Rocksteady makes up for this by providing the player with innovation gameplay, solid story, AAA game quality, and a true Batman gaming experience. Batman Arkham Knight is satisfying conclusion to a remarkable trilogy that brought the comic book game genre to life.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is cool, better than Arkham Asylum, but even Arkham Origins was better (in my opinion). For me the best in the franchise was Arkham City, because it had an interesting story and the twist in the end (Joker turning out to be Clayface) was unpredictable. This game had also a twist (the Arkham Knight turning out to be Red Hood, a.k.a. Jason Todd), but we saw it coming (or at least I did). I rated this game 7 out of 10 (I would rate 7.5 but I can't) because it did had fun moments like the first battle with Batmobile, the return of Azrael and Hush, playing as Robin, Catwoman and Nightwing... But there were somethings that ruined the game for me. The following things I'm going to say were things that would have made the game perfect for me:

1- A DIFFERENT TITLE: I did not give 7 out of 10 because of the title I just think that Batman: Arkham Knight should be Batman: Arkham World, because the game is not only about the Arkham Knight, but there's also a lot of other villains involved in the main story such as Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, Harley...

2- LESS BATMOBILE ACTION: Come on Rocksteady... Is it called, as the guy from Honest Trailers say: Arkham World of Tanks? No, it's called Batman: Arkham Knight. The batmobile was cool for fast travel, some riddler challenges and boss fights, but don't make us play the Batmobile more time than we play as Batman...

3- NO JOKER HALLUCINATIONS, BUT A JOKER TWIST INSTEAD: Would you rather have Batman have hallucinations about the Joker or would you rather have a twist where Joker is actually alive and Clayface was the Joker that was burnt in the beginning of the game? It would even even make the alternate intro make sense.

4- MORE VILLAINS: Where's Mr. Freeze, Victor Zsazz, Ra's Al Ghul (who survived Arkham City) and Bane? I could put more names on the list, but I would run out of characters... This game introduce Pyg and Man-Bat. but where are the others? Did Scarecrow not hired a big muscle like Bane to brake Batman... Just saying.

5- ROBIN, NIGHTWING AND CATWOMAN HAVE THEIR OWN PRIVATE AND SEPARATE MISSIONS: Wouldn't it be cool to fly the skies as Robin and go after thugs. I'm taking this idea from Arkham City where you could swap between Batman and Catwoman.

In all honesty, the game really isn't even that good anyway, the game itself to me anyway, did not live up to the hype., Its nowhere near the levels of the first two games. The only good thing about it this game is the hand to hand combat, every thing else is horrible. There are spoilers in what I'm about to say, so do not read if you haven't beaten the game yet.

The boss fights are horrible, the only good Boss Fight in the game, is in the Redhood DLC and thats because Black Mask can't be taken down with one hit...he actually has a life bar and its actually a challenge,

The Batmobile is extremely annoying because its used for 90% of everything, You spend a good majority of times fighting tanks, which gets annoying and bothersome.

you HAVE to find all 200 something RIddler challenges and such to even fight the Riddler to actually beat the game. I'm sorry, I did it in A.A and when I saw the weak pay off in that, I didn't bother collecting the riddler stuff in A.C, I literally beat every villain in that game, Including saving Gotham from Scarecrow and I have yet to get the ending because I didn't collecting all the Riddler Trophies, So it really looks like I wont be beating the game, because im not wasting my time collecting Riddler crap. I did the first 9 Riddler Revenge challenges, I should have been able to fight him and beat him then. So since I didn't do the riddler trophy crap, I just resorted to watching the ending on youtube instead.

They built up Hush in Arkham City like something big would happen annnnnnnd....what happened? Lucius Fox hits him with a Lamp and Batman knocks him out with one punch. Whhhhhhhhhhhhy?

They made Deathstroke such a joke in that game., He always called Batman out for hiding behind his armory, what does Deathstroke show up in? Why a Tank of course.....and after you beat said tank, Deathstroke just hops out of his tank and blindly jumps at Batman, to get knocked out with one punch.....something Deathstroke would never do because he isn't a bumbling villain.....

You dont even fight Scarecrow, you walk around as The Joker in Batmans head, doing absolutely nothing most of the time, then you watch a cutscene of Batman over coming the fear toxin and he makes Scarecrow inject himself with his own fear toxin...I couldn't even get yet another boss fight that consisted of waves of enemies and atleast do that to Scarecrow afterwards?

Whats the point of putting the entire Batfamily in the game, when you can't even play as any of them for more than 5 minutes? Seriously? Like, after I beat this game, I can't just freely roam around Gotham as anyone? I could do that in Arkham City and I actually enjyed that different pace of playing as Catwoman, so why would you take out an awesome feature like that? You know how fun it would be for people to run around Gotham after they beat the game as Nightwing? or Robin? or the Readhood? or Catwoman?

OH.....and speaking of Redhood. Rocksteady said the Arkham Knight would be a completely NEW CHARACTER CREATED SPECIFICALLY FOR THEIR GAMES UNIVERSE.....Guess who the Arkham Knight is? Why its one of the oldest characters in Batman history of course, Jason Todd! That is...not a new character....that is a character that was created in 1983.....

Im happy Rocksteady is done with Batman, I feel they just fell victim to doing the same franchise and not working on anything else other then Batman. Hopefully their next game will let them set the bar in what an action game should be.

I really enjoyed this game, and personally, would give it a 10. However, although it doesn't seem to affect me much, there are obvious and important problems. The combat and stealth are just like Arkham City, in general, and so is a lot of the game. This is a good and bad thing. This is a good and bad thing. Lack of originality, however Arkham City was heavily praised for this system, which was (and, in my opinion, still is) amazing. Which was actually really similar to Assassin's Creed, although I haven't seen much negativity about that (and at the same time I don't know which one developed the combat first). There was also the Batmobile, a common problem. It took over the game often. I really liked it, but there was still too much of it in the game. The storyline is great, and it's a really long one (the full thing, however the main story is just over average in length, but a very good story no matter how far you go). With the combination of the quality storyline and the decent open world, it makes for a huge game. Arkham City still remains slightly better, but Arkham Knight is a good game. Expand

Batman Arkham Knight is the best Batman game ever made. This game is irresistibly amazing. Everything about this game is perfect except for one thing......The Tank. At first you think that it'll be fun but then it gets a little annoying. That is the only minor setback to an otherwise perfect game. That is the only minor setback to an otherwise perfect game. All the core aspects about the Arkham games have been refined and it is better then ever. To be honest it has the best gameplay ever for a third-person action game. The Batmobile is a great way of getting around Gotham fast but when you upgrade the grapnel boost. The narrative is flawless as well. I liked the Arkham Knight as a character and Scarecrow was a great villain to compete with the perfect villain: The Joker. There is plenty to do in this game as well, the side missions in the game are a nice distraction to dilute your way for the main story. Overall, this game is perfect. Absolutely Perfect. Batman: Arkham Knight presents a technically proficient and overall satisfying ending to the Arkham series, but suffers from overuse of the novelty item Batmobile and extremely repetitive tank battles. [Aug 2015]

Batman: Arkham Knight is the best looking game in the series so far, and includes a lot of cool stuff for fans of Batman. But at the same time it’s starting to feel like Rocksteady is almost too comfortable. It lacks new content, except the pretty bad designed Batmobile parts. If you haven’t played the previous games that much you will probably think that this is one of the best games this year.

A million different elements blended seamlessly into one brilliantly cohesive experience. [Summer 2015, p.64]
