    All this hate just proves is that Assassin's Creed is extremely popular and that makes me just so happy as longtime fan of the series. AC fans usually rarely care to comment on sites like metacritic, etc. They simply don't care. They are most busy enjoy the game. But thanks to this games popularity it brings all the sad haters out.     There's absolutely no grind in this game. XP comes extremely easily, if you actually play the game. Seems like bunch of haters came up with some lie and are trying to lower AC Valhalla user score or something. Well good luck...

Again I see uninteresting side quests, decisions and choices that have absolutely no effect. Same as Watch Dogs, AC have been poorly developed, a lot of glitches, bugs, optimization problems, as always. Battle system is very old, nothing changed. Ubisoft simply create new story, newAnother AC game developed in 2 years, and overpriced. Again I see strong women, SJW content and propaganda.     В игру добавили ускорители прокачки, и помели баланс под них. Все старые оценки и обзоры уже не про эту игру.

    Grindy game that offers nothing special from Ubisoft's nauseating gameplay formula. Added XP boosters one month after release. Shady company that doesn't deserve your money. Respect yourself, and play something else that values your time invested.

    Well made game, my favorite part might be just free roaming in England and just exploring, climbing, all that stuff. Story is decent as well, way better than Odyssey.

    I'm 20 hours into game right now and really enjoy it so far. Haven't encountered any bugs, runs just fine. Longer review later, but i wanted to give my early expressions because seems like some haters are trying to lower this user score with 0's and i can't stand something like that. Good game so far.

    This beautiful game literally made this awful year so much better. I was waiting for it since April and it's finally here. I was expecting decent game, but it still managed to surprise me with tons of different locations and secret areas.

    It's absolute joy to play video game that look graphically beautiful, has so much variety in locations, absolutely beautiful ambient music in a year where absolute broken unfinished messes like Cyberpunk 2077 have been released. Thank you Ubisoft, seriously!

    At least this game works perfectly unlike this Cybertrash 2077 that was promoted as next generation of open world games. AC Valhalla is very good game and using any booster is absolutely optional. You get xp everywhere, there absolutely no need to use them.

    (Reviewed on PS4 Pro) Now, I have played Valhalla for around 40 hours now, done every single mystery I saw while exploring, did as much raids as I can. Now the game is your typical ac game in terms of elements. Go synchronize positions, raid camps, kill enemy patrols etc. But the important thing is pros and cons:

    Pros: -Good combat -Instead of just getting abilities as you rank up,    (Reviewed on PS4 Pro) Now, I have played Valhalla for around 40 hours now, done every single mystery I saw while exploring, did as much raids as I can.     Pros:
    -Good combat
    -Instead of just getting abilities as you rank up, you get base skills and some abilities
    -Weapon variety is pretty good
    -Graphics are nice
    -Open world is good
    -Gears are found less, but are more unique
    -Boss variety is pretty good
    -Multiple Storylines
    -A fresh game after a lot of ac games with the same formula
    -I havent experienced a lot of frame drops.
    -Stun Finishers are very satisfying
    -Upgrading your settlement as you progress is very fun
    -A lot of choices that actually matter
    -A lot of minigames, puzzles in the open world

    Cons:
    -Some parts of the game are very buggy
    -Main Story is repetitive (Eg. In the whole main story all you do is go to a place, speak with the person in charge, solve their problems, raid a big castle in the end) It has so less unique parts compared to other ac games.
    -Story is not fun
    -Sometimes the characters facial animations arent really that good (except the main characters)
    -The story is so long that it gets boring after some time. Remember how you got pretty bored in odyssey because the game was too long? This is much longer than that.

    This is the worst AC game. It is too much grindy and you get nothing good out of it. The story is super boring and game mechanics are so sluggish, its more tedious than fun to play this boring piece of **** now i learnt from my many mistakes thatt i cant expect a good game from ubisoft.

    It is just a better assassin's creed Odyssey, so if you like AC:O then you would also like this one, with out a doubt.

    I had 1 visual bug where my off hand weapon would disappear, and I had 3 big bugs, one of them was where I could not 100% completion because I did not get any more fabric after upgrading my quiver and life pouch, there was also one bug where I could not get the trophy    It is just a better assassin's creed Odyssey, so if you like AC:O then you would also like this one, with out a doubt.

    I have played pretty much every 3xA game of 2020 and i can safely say that AC:Valhalla is one of the best PC games of this year. After yesterday's update it feels even smoother imo. Would recommend to gamers who like brutal combat, huge world to explore, tons of different quests and good main character or in other words, to anyone who likes Assassin's Creed games.

    I went through the trouble of creating an account at Metacritic, just so I could leave this review, that's how bad this game is. Ubisoft has given itself and all the gamers out there a major shot in the foot with this one. They have unsuccessfully tried to bring to the AC world things that worked brilliantly in other titles (such as the fishing and hunting missions, so good at RDR2, but soI went through the trouble of creating an account at Metacritic, just so I could leave this review, that's how bad this game is. Ubisoft has given itself and all the gamers out there a major shot in the foot with this one. They have unsuccessfully tried to bring to the AC world things that worked brilliantly in other titles (such as the fishing and hunting missions, so good at RDR2, but so terrible here). The open world is probably one of the worst I have seen in any AC game before, the new combat mode is too bad to put into words, and the story is dull and unoriginal to say the least. But to top it all off, it's possibly one of the worst games I have ever played when it comes to bugs. It is so very bad, that at this point I am not even able to go through with the story because there was a major issue with the latest patch released for the game, where you are unable to advance in the story from the moment you start the mission "A Seer's Solace". Starting this mission will mean that your game will stop working, as the so-very-terrible-to-begin-with open world becomes even worst (it turns into raw unfinished shapes), and the character simply starts falling from the map, not giving out any possibility to keep playing. For the lucky ones who purchased a physical version, I heard it is possible to reinstall, and not updating to the latest patch seems to be a poor man's workaround for the issue, but for the unlucky ones like me who have purchased the digital version, there is no way at all to keep playing. I never thought in my wildest dreams that Ubisoft would be able to screw up this bad. I used to be a fan of the AC franchise, but this game seems to have managed to completely ruin it for me. I don't think I'll ever buy another AC game, and I am avidly expecting that Sony reimburses me for this absolutely terrible purchase, as I don't believe there are enough patches in the world that will be able to salvage it.… Expand

    Playing this game on a ps4 pro and the graphics are stunning, the story is entertaining once you go past the tutorial in Norway. This game would have been a 9 if it didn't have so many bugs. They're not game breaking bugs.

    Solid 8, maybe even 8.5! Best game in the franchise in a long time. Played through the whole game and of course there are side missions that feel a bit boring, but over all the story is engaging and even most side quests are pretty fun. Graphics and gameplay delivers well on a 4k HDR PS4 pro.

Одна из лучших в серии, хоть и ассасинами тут и не пахнет (хотя тут стоит сделать поправочку, ассасинами в серии перестало пахнуть начиная со второй части, так как каноничная с исторической точки зрения только первая часть!). Открытый мир шикарный, картинка даже на PS4 slim бесподобная. Сюжет... Он сильный. В первый раз юбики сделали упор именно на сюжет и у них получилось.Шикарная игра!     For a company with as much money as Ubisoft, not to mention the hundreds of devs they have, they could have at least grabbed ONE dev from Sweden/Norway/Denmark to confirm that the nordic accents and words were pronounced correctly. Everything about this game is garbage.     Assassin's Creed Valhalla has 3 (at least so far) beautifully crafter maps, each one has it's own tone. Voice acting is good, graphics are amazing at times, runs well.

    A good game, and I like the revamped combat system. A beautiful open world that is fun to explore, but let down by slow loading screens when entering dialogues and far too frequently crashes for no apparent reason.

    Too many bugs and the game crashed a lot of times. There are so many collectibles but the side quests were great and never annoying. A funny game like always

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I’m more disappointed than happy about this AC. The story is ok but it’s missing the big reason why you want to have everyone as an ally. And the fight system is better than origins and odyssey. Also the world looks good. BUT. The Parcours system is trash and I don’t know why but the developers wanted to show how bad it is so they put in some “catch me if you can” thing in it. Never liked it, never will. The game is too packed with small checklist stuff. I have to say that it is nice to have one weapon that you can upgrade from bad to best. But the variety is not there. The simplest and most common weapon is not even included in this game... why is there no normal sword!? I never had a game where I was exhausted before I even started the actual game but Ubisoft did it with AC Valhalla. Thinking about playing this game was good for the first 3 days but then it got boring and it takes too much time away with boring stuff. I think the time of AC has come to an end. Oh and by the way. There is a leveling system in this game. They just gave it another name (power level) but you still have to grind so that you can keep up in a fight, otherwise you get destroyed within one attack.     Good game. Loved the Vikings and Norse Mythology theme and overall a good experience. Great landscapes. There are some bugs here and there and some NPCs graphically are not good enough, as an AC game is more of the same.

I understand that Ubisoft are trying to make the game more modern but it’s lost a lot of what made Assassin’s Creed so fun to play.     Valhalla is much more of an open-world adventure game and is about going around a pretty unpopulated England making alliances. The story never pulled me in and the main story is so loose and is tied to building houses in your settlement. At many time I was lost and thinking how do I advance the story.
    I’m from England and I love playing games set in the country or city that I live in. However, England in this game, as a setting, is not very interesting. The towns and Cities are small with some exceptions. There are no massive cities which you can freely free run around and now the free-running mechanic is basically gone and now all you climb are some cliffs and small buildings.

    It might just be me but it doesn’t feel like an Assassin’s Creed game anymore. Some people might really like the new games but I just don’t know.

    It's a good game but not as good as Odyssey was. Would have liked to have seen more focus on combat rather than needless filler content. Still, I have enjoyed my time with. it looks gorgeous and traversing the map and synchronizing locations is better than ever.

    Its a very good and underrated game, the secrets and treasures often require intelligence to be soulved and found, its very cool, and the armour upgrades throughout the story make it really satisfying, i recommend it.

    It's absolutely pathetic that people whine about Ubisoft's optimizatsion, while their games are perfectly playable. But they hype Cybertrash 2077 to moon and back while this game gets 39fps with gtx 1070 and looks like trash. It's over.

    This is actually really solid assassins creed. My favorite part is exploring and just visiting these old locations like London or Stonehenge, but combat is also great. Would recommend!

    I bet some people are pissed that CyberBug 2077 turned out to be complete failure and now they come here to dislike Valhalla. So typical, but thankfully Valhalla already was huge success and there's absolutely no way anyone will lower these user scores for Valhalla. AC fans will protect this game forever.

    This is so much better than Cyberpunk 2077, it's crazy. I was actually waiting for Cyberpunk 2077, but it's extremely buggy and you need extremely high end pc to actually run it. Ps4 version is even worse. Thank god i bought Valhalla.

    It's a good looking game, however it has nothing to do with Assassin's Creed. It's main focus is on farming. Poor stealth system. A point for a nice graphics and soundtrack.

    The graphics are great (PS4 version played on PS5), soundtrack get's a bit repetitive when doing raids, playability is good too. Combat system took a little time to get used to but soon found weapons and tactics I was happy with.

    The main problem I have with this game/Ubisoft is although they have spent a lot of time producing this, it still feels like a re-skin of the previous games and the bugs from them still exist. I always feel that they will never reach the heights of Rockstar because they are too concerned with hitting deadlines/profits then making a game a work of art.    … Expand

    Extremely good Assassin's Creed game, i tried to play Black Flag again yesterday to see, if i like it more or less than Valhalla (because Black Flag was my previous favorite) and i have to say, i actually enjoy Valhalla more.

    Assassins Creed Valhalla is a wonderful addition to the AC franchise. It manages to avoid the tropes that became overplayed and focuses on a small well structured story. The fighting mechanics are enjoyable and offer many choices to fit different playing styles. There are a significant amount of bugs and the AI is underwhelming at times. But it's still another step in the right direction for Ubisoft.
