    Great game, but just a reminder, YES you can play it on 2013 consoles, however....
    You can't expect best graphics/fps, etc. You just can't, it's 2020 game, i'm sorry to break it to you, but it's time upgrade. If you really wanna play it on ps4 then ps4pro is your best option.

    I'm blown away by graphics and variety of locations this game offers. Honestly might be one of my favorites of 2020. Hopefully dlc's are good as base game.

    What a great game, it has been so fking long when i actually enjoyed a game, specially AC game lol. Odyssey was trash, but this is good. More of this please.

    One of the best games i have played in 2020, it has two big maps and then some more, but i don't wanna spoil. It's worth it.

    As i have both PC and PS4 version, i can say without lying that PC version is way better, BUT, it's nice to have PS4 version and play that when i don't have PC around. Overall very good game.

    There were many hateful nerds on youtube making hate videos on this game and were hoping it to fail and they had most iditotic reasonings ever. Like one youtuber said that choosing between male and female character is not enough? Kidding me? You should be happy you can choose your character. If anything you should whine about this stuff to Rockstar not Ubisoft. Oh wait?     Hands down best video game of November 2020. After playing it over 30 hours i could actually held debates about why it's so good and i would win each one of these easily. Nothing beats it from November line-up. But not only that, it's good even in general 2020 gaming terms. To me it's in same boat with Doom Eternal and Final Fantasy VII Remake, all very different games, but i have veryHands down best video game of November 2020. After playing it over 30 hours i could actually held debates about why it's so good and i would win each one of these easily. Nothing beats it from November line-up.     I think i know what it is. Not that many people really cared about mafia, so it didn't attract that many haters and it was easy to get mafia user score to normal, but AC is very popular, so of course it attracted haters. But it's absolute injustice, because this game is very good and it's literally ONLY ps4 game as of right now that is ACTUALLY GOOD, but has low user score. Every other ps4 game has normal scores, so it's very important to get this user score to normal, because it's one of the best games of 2020. For sony it's easy, i literally witnessed how fake asian reviews got Demon's Souls Remake to over 500 positive 10/10's in one day.
    But ubisoft and other companies doesn't have that asian army that upvotes their games, they rely on actual fans.    … Expand

    I’ve played all but one of the AC series and the score of just 5 is relative to the rest of the series, and in consideration of tech advances over time. Valhalla looks great, and being English, can appreciate the attention to detail in geographical changes, and the historical building contained therein. Just brilliant. Block function rarely works as it should; follow this road / the river to your destination, doesn’t work. And worst of all, you know the mapping is duff when you’re worried your character will struggle to walk through a door / climb through a window without getting stuck on the environment. It always been this way and is controlled-throwing annoying. The mapping is at its worst when collecting the history pages - pretty much given up on that for now. The block function also seemingly has a massive lag when executing against harder foes. I’m 80 hours in and am struggling to find the will to continue. The poor mapping would be forgivable because of the sheer size of the map; however, its just something the development team have no fixed, and that just sucks. Last AC game for me - just fed-up with shoddy, half-done mapping.… Expand

That just pathetic honestly. I looked at Origins user score and there seemed to be actually lots of people also figuring this same thing out and giving it fair scores, but where are these people now? Did they disappear or something? If anyone reads this from reddit or some Assassin's Creed community, please just spread the word! This user score needs more positive reviews! It literally hurts me that thousands of people are giving likes to AC Valhalla youtube videos, but they can't take 5 minutes to come here and say that they like this game.     I would say this might be one of the best ones yet. Graphically absolutely stunning no matter where you go, lighting is so good in this game. Snow effects in Norway are also almost top tier. Story is really long and most of the times interesting. Good.

    Better than most 2020 games, that's for sure. Maybe even one of the best Assassin's Creed games, time will tell. But right now it's extremely fun and addicting. I bet 90% of these who give 0/10 or 1/10 haven't even played it. Just sucks that 2020 happens to have so many losers who have nothing better to do with their empty lives, than giving low scores to games they don't even play.

There are constant game breaking bugs and I have been stuck, unable to continue the main story quests since right after launch. Recent patch had no fix. At this point, I give up. What a waste of money. Not buying another Ubisoft game for a loooooong time.     I'm someone who really thinks deeply what games to spend my time on and what not. So far been playing Valhalla about 20 hours and i can already tell that i'm easily going to 100's. Very addicting and beautiful graphics too.

    Patch 1.0.4 pretty much fixed every problem i had previously. I'm sure there might be some bugs, but i haven't encountered any in 5 hour playtime so far. Thank you Ubisoft.

    Ubisoft somehow managed to make really good game in like 2 years, nice. Far Cry 5 had nice graphics, but story was meh and Odyssey was cool at first but overall it was meh. I don't even wanna mention last year's Ubisoft games. Valhalla turns the tables. Hopefully Far Cry 6 continues this trend and they actually stay good, how nice would that be.

    I preordering it in June i think, i was 50/50 at first, but i was like "whatever", because setting was very promising. I had high hopes, but didn't want to over-hype it either. now been playing it 10 days or so and it's so good.

    There's a lot of room for improvements and i bet Cyberpunk comes out before all these can be applied, but i think they will support this game for long time into 2021, so it's all good. So far impressions are very positive.

    I like this series so much, makes me feel like i'm actually going back in time and thank god they choose Norway-England setting in 2020, so it could be shown with best possible graphics. One of my favorite regions in Europe.

    This game blows most 2020 entries away. Of course it had some bugs at launch, they fixed it basically with 1.0.4 patch. I played 3 hours after patch came out and haven't had any problems since. "Force Open Door" works perfectly now.

    Enjoyable assassin's creed experience as expected. I knew they can't just fail two years in a row. It would have been end of Ubisoft. Thank god they are back, nobody makes Assassin's Creed games as well as they do (when they get it right) and this time they did!

    Its the best game ever!!!... I think the mecánics and history arc are amazing, its a great final for the trilogy of the games of this gen of consoles (ps4 and xbox one) . I Love vikings and this game make me feel like one, I simply Love it

    5. Mjolnir hammer had a weight of 4,294,967,296 causing dodging to not work.
    6. Conquest map loaded from a side angle instead of top-down, resulting in the inability to click anything.
    7. The Bell assassination marker is located in the wrong map. How is it not even in the right location, much less the wrong map?
    8. Flaming arrow stuck permanently in Eivors hand, making picking up bombs impossible.
    9. Dead deer preceding to "T-pose" after death. Leaving a fake deer standing after being killed.
    Like I'd accept this from a small creator, but this is considered a triple-A company so, It's pretty ridiculous that half the game is reloading saves.    … Expand

    Honestly this game just is not fun to play. The story is not interesting whatsoever, it makes it a chore to get through. The combat is a step down from Odyssey in my opinion. The changes they made for exploration are interesting, but I think they end up taking away from the game.

    I gave up on Ubisoft in 2019, it was pathetic. Breakpoint was huge fail, never do this again.
    Seems like they have changed tho, because they are back on track with Valhalla. Longer review coming later.

    This is how you design maps, THIS!, not this mess that Odyssey was. Odyssey had some nice elements. but overall Valhalla beats it in every way.

    About 47 hours in, story is so engaging, i just can't stop thinking about this game. Must be good sign.

    Makes me wonder is this like one-off thing for Ubisoft or are like actually back? Because this one is really good, i don't care about god's and monsters, that's clearly side-project. But please make Far Cry 6 good! Please!

    Highly recommending this 2020 masterpiece, it has some flaws here and there, but what game doesn't? Overall very good!

    Reminds me Black Flag and Origins, some parkour from Unity. Story is so much better than Odyssey's.

    I remember watching Assassin's Creed Valhalla first trailer earlier this year, can't believe it's here now. Epic so far.

    (Review updated after patch 1.02) - Bugs, few Disc errors and the Solace early quest was stopping thousands of players to play the game. High prio bugs reported before launch and still no fix 7+ days later. The game is very good, once patched and fixed. Core loops are in place and will keep you hooked for a while. Combat system takes a bit of time to get used to, going beyond the button(Review updated after patch 1.02) - Bugs, few Disc errors and the Solace early quest was stopping thousands of players to play the game. High prio bugs reported before launch and still no fix 7+ days later. The game is very good, once patched and fixed. Core loops are in place and will keep you hooked for a while. Combat system takes a bit of time to get used to, going beyond the button smashing especially for level 50+ enemies is required and a little more strategic.     To be completely honest, it's one of three games (other two are doom eternal and final fantasy 7 remake) i have truly enjoyed in 2020 and even at that, it might take top spot. Yes i'm hardcore Assassin's Creed fan, but it could have been easily boring and grindy like Odyssey, but it isn't It's absolute opposite. Amazing.

    Assassins Creed Valhalla is a wonderful addition to the AC franchise. It manages to avoid the tropes that became overplayed and focuses on a small well structured story. The fighting mechanics are enjoyable and offer many choices to fit different playing styles. There are a significant amount of bugs and the AI is underwhelming at times. But it's still another step in the right direction for Ubisoft.
