So I need to cancel my pre-order and try to play this game Valhalla in the PC.

UBI you are so ridiculous, I will not to pre-order anything in the future. You are suck.

Questing and map is done far worse than in previous assassins creed games. Story is boring, the only fun after 10 hours of playing was first introduction cinematic, the further in the game the worse. Odyssey was doing everything better. I like vikings but this one is not so good... I lost my money, gonna sell this game, dont even wanna finish main story.

I would love to say: "It´s a good game and I can`t stop plpaying!", but since I can`t even start the mainquest, because of a bug, which doesn`t alloughs to speak to NPC`s and after a restart my savegames are corrupted, I would say it`s pretty bad progmmed. They should have waited a few more weeks.

How can a team of passionate developers create this? Do the people who play these games have the same concept of "fun" as the rest of us? Because irl "fun" isn't mindlessly completing tedious after tedious objectives, watching the same automated killing animations over and over again, and falling asleep through some average voice acting and terrible lip syncing. Why is it so hard for these people to create characters that we genuinely care about. Black Flag was decent IN 2013, how has the same studio created less compelling characters 7 years later? But even if the story is bad, the game can still be fun outside of the narrative right? Of course it could. Well it's not, it's boring. IT'S SO GODDAMN BORING. i think i'd have more fun throwing a tennis ball against the walls of my room than playing this game, even if it was free to play. I'm only about 15 hours in so far, but unlike the previous 2 entries in the series, I have a major itch to get back on after I've stopped playing.

The Viking aesthetic is the best thing going for it. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla falls victim to the large studio that does not care about the content they put out, and knows you’ll buy their game no matter what. The game is filled with bugs. The audio sometimes abruptly ends or doesn’t match the lips. I’m lucky I’m even able to play it. My brother is stuck at the beginning of the game because of a Game Breaking Bug where the Seer’s Solace quest line doesn’t even show up for him so he cannot progress in the game past the 1st quest. It’s been almost two days and there is still no update for it. The combat is so unbelievably bland, boring and easy. It’s actually atrocious. The controls are clunky. The camera is also so far away during combat I can’t see anything. I’m playing on the hardest difficulty and it’s a cake walk. The “social stealth” is an absolute joke. It’s not even a thing. They lied about the fact that they made the world smaller than Odyssey. (It’s actually bigger)
If this game did not have the Viking aesthetic, it would be an absolute flop. The voice actor for Eivor is amazing, love him. Overall, the game feels like they wanted to do something great, but it lacks heart. The graphics are bad, and the character models move weird.
It feels like just another “open world AC game” with a different skin. (don’t just be large for the sake of being large) They have completely lost track of what Assassin’s Creed was, and moved on to something new, that could be cooler, but fails miserably. AC needs to be a 3 year cycle game, and they need to listen to their fan base. Ubisoft only seems to care about sh***ing out games and making money, which will end up hurting them in the long run.

It's funny to see all these zeros from these fake accounts who don't even own the game. I'm sure real Assassin's Creed fans will come out of shadows to support this one, because it truly deserves it. It's one of the best in the whole series.

I'm almost shocked how well Ubisoft delivered with this one. 2019 was awful for them, so i wasn't expecting much, but Valhalla so good. There's so much to do, voice acting is great, story is great, graphics are amazing. It's going to be something i'm gonna play until cyberpunk comes out. There's not much else anyway. Not interested at all in spiderman dlc.

The game's pretty good I'm actually loving it, but the only problem is the optimisation. Sometimes the FPS drops but I hope Ubisoft will fix it on the PS5 (or even the ps4 lol)

As the launch title for a next-gen console, this game is everything but what's expected for a launch title. In my experience playing I encountered bugs, the assets just didn't look good in my opinion, the combat was uninspiring, the modeling for the characters feels wooden, and overall I wasn't impressed by the game. I quickly requested a refund.

Like so many others have already stated, Ac Valhalla is amazing, so i'm not really going to write anything long. It's just that i would personally compare it to RDR2. Obviously they are different games, but in sense of storytelling, characters, open world they are equally great. In fact Valhalla open world is to me, more interesting than RDR2-s world, but i like them both.

Can't see the difference between any of Ubisofts open world titles anymore - the concept is the same over and over again. Ubisoft needs some good story tellers - they really lack qualify and depth...like in REALLY! It's all surface. The animation are not impressive, the music is not something u really notice. Why do a Viking needs poison arrows a d the ability to be stealth?
Political absolutely correct - of course - though totally unrealistic. Im sick of Ubisoft and they're up there with EA. Maybe The Rad Brad loooves repetitive gameplay - but then again, who said playing games as your living makes you intelligent???? Just ask gamestop and ign!

Compared to something like Ghost of Tsushima this game is an absolute failure. About 4-5 hours in the main Quest "The Prodigal Prince" got bugged where an NPC you were supposed to follow would just stand still. There's nothing you could do about it, you simply couldn't progress through the Main Story. I don't even feel like writing up all the bugs and performance issues I encountered. In summary, terrible combat, animations, lots of game-breaking bugs and performance issues. Bland, dull, uninspired, clunky. Only positive I can find is that the environments look good. Platform: PS4
    Edition: Ultimate Edition

The positive about this game is that it looks really stunning. The world is amazing, the northern light in the sky, the snow that looks so real, and the sunbeams that fall upon the earth. It is really a marble for the eye. Before you start you will have a short but simple tutorial that shows you the basic commands. And after that you are free to start your journey.

The reason why I still have mixed feeling about trying to continue this game is because the game does not feel it is finished. There are plenty of bugs to be found. In my game I for example met my brothers wife Randvi, the second time I met her she was invisible. (There was a floating speach bubble though.) I could talk to her but she still remained invisile.
Also traveling around on horse I find that the game lags a lot, the screen seems to freeze every 30 seconds to render the world. The same world that looks gorgeous, but it also feels empty somehow as it is mostly just snow/mountains.

The fighting system is okey, however there is a stamina bar on your ability to dodge and fight. If you miss a hit or dodge your stamina will drain fast. As for the viewpoints, you climb up on it only to realize you first need to learn the 'Leap of Faith' skill in order to be able to jump off and not fall to your possible death.

My conclusion is that this game feels more like a Skyrim RPG, rather then an Assassins Creed game. The game is sure pretty, but it also has many bugs, and it feels it is made more for the PS5 then the PS4. Some bugs you could overcome but there are even story quests that bug out by being unable to activate or start.

I realise not everyone will have a bugged game, so other players may have other experiences, but in my case the game has some serious issues. It even prevents me from continueing the story line because a quest character does not spawn./cannot interact with him.

There was so much potential for this game. The graphics are excellent but sadly there is nothing of substance in the gameplay. Combat is repetitive(button mash) and the story is repetitive(befriend clans and raid with them). In a viking game, there is nearly no loot when all vikings did was loot. There is also no stealth opportunities whatsoever. Assassinating is completely gone from the game.

Even fact alone that you don't need to grind anymore, at all, makes it just superb, but that's just one thing out

Way better than Odyssey. It may have just much bloat but it’s fine tuned and focused a lot more. It doesn’t seem so overwhelming and I like the darker tone. Combat is back to how it was with still trying to make it the new mechanics introduced in the previous two games. Not sure what if I like it 100% but it’s fun and the grit is most welcomed.

There are far fewer cookie-cutter outposts than in previous AC’s, and most sidequests now offer an interesting story, sometimes even with a less-than-obvious solution. While some anti-grind measures have backfired, Ubisoft is on the right track. [Issue#250, page 56]

Assassins Creed Valhalla is a wonderful addition to the AC franchise. It manages to avoid the tropes that became overplayed and focuses on a small well structured story. The fighting mechanics are enjoyable and offer many choices to fit different playing styles. There are a significant amount of bugs and the AI is underwhelming at times. But it's still another step in the right direction for Ubisoft.
