    Warcraft III Refunded! Do yourself a favor and don't buy this freaking cash grab. A lot of features from the ORIGINAL game (released almost 18 years ago) were removed, and others features that they promised were scrapped without a single warning.

    Updated graphics, kinda. Didn't reforge cutscenes, went back on promises, messed up old version of the game I owned. All that stuff they showed you at Blizzcon? Not there.

    Like others, I had to make a metacritic account just to describe my frustration with this game. I'm an avid warcraft 3 fan and it hurts me to see the original game ruined by such a corporate, myopic business decision to put as little money as possible into a "new" game in order to update the EULA and claim intellectual property rights over people's custom games. It is full of bugs, the graphics are rushed and unpolished (even the menus look worse than the original). Hardly anything from the classic game works.. sounds.. replays.. they abandoned virtually everything they promised to deliver in this game. That's why they released it silently.

    I imagine in 2017 a conversation at Activision/Blizzard went like this:

    "Hey we totally missed the boat on DotA by not paying attention to our community and capitalizing on easy opportunities.. how can we not do that?"
    "I know, we'll change the EULA (user agreement) so that anyone who makes a custom game has to give it to us 100% so we can make all the money off it, and they get none!"
    "Brilliant! But nobody will like that... how can we make this okay?"
    "We could 'remake' warcraft 3? Give it some quality of life updates and some new graphics? Then poeple will be happy to play the new game with the new EULA."
    "Great idea, but I don't want to actually spend any money in order to make money... how about we just outsource everything for cheap, spend hardly any money at all, and update the EULA in the new game? We spend nothing, and make tons!!"

However the project required a lot more time and in-house art staff to help truly bring this game to life. From the very first beta footage I saw, something striking hit me. Models were with radically different sizes and with very varying quality. That was very quick proof that the art was outsourced to a 3rd company and as such, simple corrections couldn't be quickly or efficiently done.
    .
    Now a lot of people are complaining about the old engine and they are in their right. However the engine isn't entirely the same. In the last 2 years since this game's inception, an absolute ton of beefing up was done to the game's engine, allowing for many new cool things to be achieved with it. However that potential was not tapped into with this remake. If anything, fans of classic Warcraft 3 can enjoy them, as those improvements to the engine allow for more advanced and better optimised custom maps to be released. Too bad Blizzard discourages map creation with their new end user licence... What a terrible time for this game to be developed at...    … Expand

    This is for announcing a complete remake and release a **** remaster. Warcraft is a franchise that many love and what Blizzard is doing is using that love to make money. We hope Blizzard really fails and just disappears; There is no fix for what they are doing.

    I bought this game on the premise that the Campaign would get an overhaul, that gaps in the lore would be filled, new improved cutscenes and World of Warcraft compatibility. While the game is improved graphically, the rest is shoddy work. Blizzard must commit to realising their 2018 vision.

There are no creative people in Blizzard anymore, just old heads hanging around waiting for their retirement. It's truly sad what's happened to this once great company!

    LIES after LIES. What they showed us at BlizzCON is ALL LIES.
    The re-skinned the game and tries to pass it off as an "upgrade" and they couldn't even get that right.
    The CG in this game (the end) looks like a 1st generation CG commercial from ten years ago - the one thing that Blizzard is known for they managed to ruin it. ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE.

    I own the original Warcraft 3, I did not purchase Reforged, yet Blizzard saw fit to replace my old copy with the new remaster with the upgraded graphics turned off. Because of this my game, which has been running fine for years, is now a broken piece of garbage as Reforged has many technical issues. Thanks Activision-Blizzard!!!!

    I want to start this off with a very relevant warning that everyone needs to hear before purchasing. Blizzard has been trying to deny refunds because there has been a mass flood of refund requests. Players are having to threaten Blizzard by quoting False Advertising laws to get their refunds for this unacceptable release. Blizzard attempted to demand sensitive system information from me and attempted to blame me for the game running poorly despite all the bugs and I had to speak to 2 different Customer Service employees before quoting the false advertising laws and getting my refund. Now, onto the actual game.

    This is a pathetic remastering. Classic Wc3 still had a large following utilizing their battle.net custom game function. With reforged they decided to push the update to all classic wc3 RoC and TfT games to brick them until people bought reforged (something Blizzard promised not to do, I assume to prevent people from comparing the two and seeing how inept the remastering is).

    Onto Reforged. The interface is abysmal. There are bugs everywhere. You crash constantly. The campaign textures look like they were watered down, and while some things are more detailed, the color is washed out and darkened, making it actually look worse than Classic. Blizzard has decided to remove all custom games containing a "copyrighted title", therefore the large majority of custom games are getting bricked. Custom Map creators no longer own their maps, nor can they profit from them like they could in the past, as "Blizzard retains all rights to, and owns all custom maps created for reforged". The online functionality is significantly worse due to all channels being shoved together into general ones. No clans, or easy to view online stats to keep track of specifics in ladder games.

    In general this game is a piss poor attempt at a reforging. With so many bugs, and the absolutely pathetic attempt at optimization, causing even extremely quality gaming computers to lag and crash, I recommend that everyone stays far away from this game for at least a few months. Right now it is not worth the aggravation of trying to play for free let alone having to pay $40. Welcome everyone, to the new EA/Activision of gaming. Blizzard has sunk that low.

    Its pretty telling that almost ALL of the positive reviews are people saying "no problems" which is just objectively false. Or people saying "Terrible launch but the rating is low so 10/10". In reality this game should have a rating below a 1 so that Blizzard can understand this is completely unacceptable to release a game that at best would be considered at the alpha stage of game development.    … Expand

    1.the size of the game is over 400% the size of the 2003 version, though the graphic changes are minimal and the game itself is a buggy mess.... 2. no cutscenes- the cutscene from the stratholme trailer was a bait. it is NOT IN THE ACTUAL GAME.     That's an alpha version of a game. Dozens of bugs, bad optimization, lags. I've played wc3 sometimes and now i can't even do that. I forced to install bugged Reforged and feel the pain.

Что бы прям на старте все было отлично, там ведь столько работы, и синематики и катсцены на движке игры " но когда она всетаки вышла я расстроился, нет ни возможности поставить старую озвучку, ни катсцен( котрые на близконе показывали и которых нет!!!) ни даже 3д моделек в меню выбораПредзаказал игру с момента анонса, когда игру перенесли думал мол "ладно, отполируют игру до блеска!     Ну емае перекинули близзард работу на китайцев и вот итог: игра плохо оптимизирована, только что на средненьком компе вылетела кампания, КАМПАНИЯ КАРЛ!!! Также всех так знатно на*бали наблизконе, показали яркие краски какие будут крутые миссии, ролики, а в итоге...
    Еще можно долго рассказывать почему этот обосрыш даже не от близзард заслужил 1.4, а дальше наверное и меньше за 2 дня    Ну емае перекинули близзард работу на китайцев и вот итог: игра плохо оптимизирована, только что на средненьком компе вылетела кампания, КАМПАНИЯ КАРЛ!!! Также всех так знатно на*бали наблизконе, показали яркие краски какие будут крутые миссии, ролики, а в итоге...

    В моем случае, мне не понравилась русская локализация главного героя КУЛЬТОВОЙ игры. Жаль что актер озвучивающий Артаса этого не понимает и просто ВЫСРАЛ из себя пару слов без каких-либо эмоций. Его выбрали в качестве голоса одного из самого узнаваемого антагониста в играх, а ему ПОХУЙ, ему блять ПОХУЙ! Да У МЕНЯ ЭМОЦИЙ БОЛЬШЕ КОГДА Я ДАЖЕ СРУ!     Game is extremely buggy, unfinished, and based on a lie. Many of the things promised were not delivered. People should stay away from purchasing products made by Activision Blizzard. There is no quality or integrity in that company. Spend your money somewhere else people.

    Not only it doesn't add anything nor does what it promised with the trailers (the graphics aren't that much better), it even ruins the original Warcraft 3 that now shares the client with this mess

Если звук - терпимо, Не нравится только Артес, как и всем впринципе. Оставить старый звук - было бы лучшим решением. Вообще не вижу ничего нового, испортили игру детства. Случай похожий с габеном и Артефактом... ужас((( Деньги вернуть отказались после прохождения ПРОЛОГА первого..… Expand

    Great. **** got messed up. None of my mates wants to buy the game and I can't blame them. The golden era of new custom gamemodes from the community is gone. It's just a shell now. Can't even go back to the old WC3 which was lit in 2019 and 2018... Only option is to use our old USB-pen version to get the old game back and then host on gameranger.

    This game is a complete and utter disaster. I’ve seen my dog sh*t out higher quality products then this.

    The only reason I’m actually scoring 1 and not 0 is because the game is somewhat playable.

    What the hell is this? Game is a mess!!! I requested a refund after 15 minutes of playing where I spent 10 minutes on glitches and server issues.

    Blizzard unfinished a game that was working for 17 years. This game at best is worth $10, however, it is filled with bugs and is unplayable right now. I recommend getting Age of Empire 2: Definitive Edition for $10.

    this release was a complete circus. I've had TFT for years and this update completely ruined the game. Thank god I didn't actually buy reforged because it looks like this is the end of an era

    This 'game' reached into my computer and destroyed my existing installation of classic Warcraft 3. All of the custom campaigns I've carefully shepherded over the last 15+ years? Unplayable. The option's gone.

    I have uninstalled all Blizzard products.

    This is a sad day for gaming history, the blizzard that exists today is just stepping on everything BLIZZARD stood for. Quality. Their work was always amazing, but recently Activision has caused irreversible damage and sadly this game is just a disaster.

    It is also forcing old TFT client to be updated to use the new buggy reforged client.

    It takes a special kind of greed to do what they have done with reforged. The reforged version is fuil of bugs AND it destroys the original version at the same time. On top of that what has been advertised is not delivered.
    Say goodbye to custom games, whether you bought Reforged or not.
    A real shame.

    This is one of the worst Remasters i have ever played. The promised reworked campaign remains untouched, excepting a few missions with a new map layout. The graphics seem to be better on the surface, but because they didn't finish most of the animations many units seem like lifeless dolls in comparison to their nearly 20 years old counterparts. Хотели продать ту же игру, только с обновлёнными модельками(Кстати сделанными на коленках за 20 рублей), тошнотной озвучкой, которая даже близко не стояла с озвучкой 2002 года, ужасной оптимизацией, за 1300 рублей. Лучше играйте в оригинал 2002 года, для игры по сети есть куча разных прог, типо гарены. А модельки можете сами модами накачать, которые будут в разы лучше.… Expand

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
