    Not as advertised. The game did not include the ingame cutscenes, I am unable to connect to the ladder and tons of bugs that makes the game feel rushed.

    First time i've seen a "remaster" that lacks features the original game had, and introduces new bugs the original game didn't had. Instead of a remaster this is more of a downgrade and a cashgrab.

    The cinematics remind me of all of these low budget Bollywood movie scenes.
    This game is a spit in the face to all of us Warcraft fans and it's original creators.

    Новая русская озвучка, с одной стороны это хорошо, английская ведь вышла без изменения, но озвучка так себе, и хотелось бы иметь возможность переключить на старую хотя бы в сетевой игре. Хуже всех озвучен главный героя - Артас, Уж на него-то можно было нормального актера найти.
    Игре я готов поставить 1 балл - за новые модельки. Все остальное сделано плохо, не доделано или не сделано вовсе.
    Отвратительная анимация, вырвиглазные текстурки, ландшафт, да и многие эффекты выглядят хуже, чем в 2002 году. Это все выглядит как какая-то шаблонная азиатская ММОРПГ, коих штампуют сотнями. Ах, ну да, Близзард же теперь не делает игры - эту работу отдали на оутсорсинг студии из Азии, вот они и сделали то что обычно делают.
    Финальный ролик, который ждали 17 лет, выглядит как фановая самоделка, да что там самодельщики сейчас и по-лучше делают. По уровню режессуры он проигрывает даже той кривой заглушке, что была в ТФТ, какие-то глупые анимешные ухмылки, в будушем Иллидан воскресит Артаса и они станут лучшими друзьями, ня. И такое от самого Близзарда, который славится своими великолепными роликами. Что ж. Теперь уже нет.
    И очень сомневаюсь, что в будущем что-то будут исправлять. Может какие-то баги и поправят, но тут проблема не в них.
    Деньги, естественно, возвращаю, негоже за такое платить.    … Expand

    Real Review: I played for several hours, both normal matches and custom games. There is no ranked play. From what other players are saying, it just matches you randomly with anyone, at any skill level. No profiles, no way to view win/loss. Custom games are even worse. I bought it to play some of my favorite custom maps....and asked for a refund because only older versions of the map work, still have issues with hosting, and then desynch and kick people randomly, even the host. Large maps also have lag issues, and the lag gets worse if the graphics are turned down. Not to mention Blizzard claims all custom maps as their intellectual property now, no joke. Not even sure how that is legal because old custom maps preexisted Reforged and should be exempt from new rules, but people then edit those old maps... Regardless this game is pretty much the old game with new graphics, not as much gameplay polish, missing a ton of features, with lots of bugs, particularly in regards to custom maps. For example, on one map, the game decided a bridge did not exist and was instead an invisible ramp so units would walk up and down cliffs.

    It is a beta or even alpha version of what it should be. Blizzard has been releasing incomplete games at retail pricing then adding to them over time to flesh them out. Compare HotS and OW to what they were on launch and you can see what I mean. They also did that with Reforged, but what they sold was an incomplete and buggy version of the same game they sold over 15 years ago. It would have been fine if they started with that game then updated to add to it, but all they really have is the campaign, most of the multiplayer, part of the custom games support, and almost none of the online chat/interface options.

    I am not paying $30 for a less optimized, and incomplete version of a game i can get anywhere for $15-$20. This game would get a 6 if it was released as a new title, but as a remake it gets a 0, because it is not even the complete game.

    Edit: I originally wrote this review a few days after release, but, if you are reading this now, it took this long to be able to submit it here, because Metacritic has blocked it this whole time.    … Expand

    The fact that you can't even play the old version on their own platform anymore is absurd, now they force you to download 30 Gb of bloat and play a worse-looking version of the original since they **** that up too. Don't give them money for this **** how things are going, Blizzard is going down soon, which is probably for the best this nu-Blizzard is a **** soulless corporation, not a single shred of passion.
    By the way, they removed a lot of the old joke voice lines when you click repeatedly on a unit because the year is 2015+5, can't have those anymore, no no, they are problematic. Literally soulless.    … Expand

    I've played WC3 since I was a little kid in 2002. Never in my life have I been as disappointed as I am today. False advertisement, game riddled with bugs, poor communications from Devs. This will be my last Blizzard game ever.

    The remaster is shameful in terms of unit remake, the anatomical proportions are too realistic, the stylization is gone, it feels like a different game overally. I feel like the fans did a better job with the SC2 mod, both in terms of original art fidelity and execution.

    Купил жалею очень старая версия не тормозила даже на Pentium lll 900MHz графика не выжигала глаз модели и текстуры и все были в разы проще и лучше можно было за 1.5 года сделать лучше или ремастер того что есть а не это убожество.     Boycott blizzard... this is no joke they gave us refund options but they made sure it won't work.. it's all a money grab the game is unplayable logs out crashes.. and the graphics are not better at all from the older version. Shame on you blizzard sink lower and lower.. we won't even do custom maps anymore because of their new policy.

В такой ситуации оказались мы все вместе с вами. Текстурки причем некоторые на любителя, озвучка на ОЧЕНЬ любителя, локации не поменяли, каст сцен нет, много ли бонусных персонажей как в стратхольме??? Нет! Местами странное освещение, баги (у меня постоянно лагает экран загрузки и эффекты огня)! Кстати, этот сникерс, оказался к тому же с ссаным пломбиром, потому что в интернете есть статья, где пользователи насчитали около 10 (10 карл) моментов, которых в перековке нет по сравнению с ОРИГИНАЛОМ, не буду перечислять, если есть желание найдете. Reforged отличается от оригинала, стоит ли говорить про близовские обещания? Я ставлю 0, потому что разработчики впредь должны понять свою ошибки и то, что мы не дураки.     All wrong. Graphic from the 2000s, performance of 1990s using hardware from 2019.
    The models don't even look good. Animations stutters almost look like they are locked to 30 frame per second. Character model and the map don't match in art style. Some map looks like its copy paste from wc3 with near to no effort to rework. It almost feel like I am playing some cheap chinese knock off game.
    Nothing new is added. Where are the promised cinematic?! Where are the promised new voice over?

    Warcraft 3 used to be a great game. But now... like all of Activision Blizzard products it is just a masterful piece of marketing work with zero art or gaming value. This game was developed by outsource company. There are a lot of bugs and bad optimization. Many promises that AB made about W3 reforged (like enhanced campaign and new interface) were lies.

    Once again they lied to us. This feels just like BioWare with Anthem. They gave us a great looking 'teaser' then come to find out later on this wasn't actually game play it was just a lie to get us excited to pre-order it. I waited for over a year for this game and I am so pissed off that this is what they gave us.

Все же было нормально, добавили просто дебильный фон, который ужасно лагает, его нельзя отключить и кучу не нормально работающих функций, при этом нет перехода на струю версию.     After the Pre-order thing in 2018 was all set, there was a statement that the game will be RELEASED UNTIL 30 DECEMBER 2019 (!!!)
    That’s one year of development. The 2019 has started but THERE WERE NO NEWS ABOUT THE GAME FOR ONE YEAR, they just updated their website a little, adding new arts once in 3 months.
    Then, the time has come to BLIZZCON 2019, they started to wonder “Oh damn... people will ask us about the game we showed them one year ago” and this is when the work started, it started almost one year after release, first beta builds and all the stuff went AFTER BLIZZCON 2019, it was one month until the “official release date” only blind person would believe that they will make the game in time. Yes, they post-pointed the release, but what is the one extra month in Holiday time is? It’s nothing, as is this game, that looks like a low effort attempt of interns that were promised to get payed, but were tricked. So were we, fans who just wanted to revisit their favorite game of the childhood.
    With all that was written, I sincerely ask you, STOP SUPPORTING BLIZZARD’S PROJECTS, this might not bring back the quality, I am certain of it, the old blizzard wont ever be back, but this will help the money hungering bosses, to start losing their money, investor’s trust, etc

    Blizzard said they will change some old story to make it closer to the new story line. Arthas vs Illidan was the most ridiculous thing I have seen. It is absolutely garbage ! Even the old one is much better than the new one. The whole game is buggy and cheap made. However, they wanna charge for AAAgame price. Blizzard is died, this is a fraud !!! DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE.

    Warcraft 3 Reforged from Blizzard on the other side looks worse than original Warcraft. Yes, we are in that spot of history when game of 2002 is better than "REFORGED" of 2020. To make it clear - We living in a second decade of 21st century. Do you understand that Blizzard? DO YOU UNDERSTAND? HOW IT IS POSSIBLE THAT YOU MADE IT LOOK WORSE IN 2020??? Warcraft 3 original graphics looks better! Same with their armor design, grass, trees, etc.

    I was not a fan of reforged even from 2018 I still saw flaws of the game even in that time, but version of 2020 is even worse. [Links NOT permitted]

    Lets conclude what Blizzard did:
    Microtransactions in WoW, Diablo Immortal, Hong Kong censorship and now Warcraft 3 reforged.
    Do not buy games from Blizzard. This company is done. Boycott them.
    There is no comeback for them. It started with Warcraft 3 it ended with Warcraft 3.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The only things they changed were things I liked. The iconic footmen amd ghoul dying sound, the awesome sunwell match in the campaign.

    Animations look like crap for 2020. Models look like crap for 2020. UI is worse than the old one, as well as being slow and buggy. Chat lags and doesnt scroll correctly for hells sake.

    Literally couldn't get into a custom game with multiple friends...they were randomly disconnected after being in the lobby for a couple seconds at best.

    The cutscene look exactly the same, except for now I get crazy screen tearing.

    I remember when my dad put me in front of the computer for the first time in my life and told me to figure out how to play WC3. It was amazing. I then went back and played the second, and got into Diablo.

    Diablo 3 was bad enough compared to 2. Now they promise me a chance to relive my child hood and deliver a half assed piece of trash. I waited for this game with high hopes and didnt take the online trashing into account. I should have.

    I also just found out they demolished the custom games development community.

    I hope you enjoy losing life long customers Blizz.

    Blizzard now belongs to the bad guys. Serials, they promissory stuff on Blizzcon 2018 and could not even deliver half of what was promoted. In addition they changed the mapmaker TOS, so now every (new) custom map belongs to them.

    - apm is visible now
    - partially new World Edit
    - old graphical engine, allowing to instant change of style from the old one to Reforged and making officially compatible old custom maps with new design
    Plus 4 points.

    Cons:
    - horrible voice actors in russian version of the game
    - game looks like sh|t comparing to Starcraft 2 Wings of Liberty, released in 2015 (Blizzcon graphics was a lie T_T )
    - game is fully non-optimized, that leads to fps fluctuations from 19 fps to 140 on the newest CPUs like intel i7
    - even menu animations are laggy
    - very important option of GAMMA correction was removed
    - with no regarding to the old players or their own tastes the old launcher of WC3 was invisibly uninstalled (while old replays and custom maps have problems with launching from the new Reforged)
    - all rights on custom maps were claimed by Blizzard as their own property with no respect to the fans, who are the real authors of their maps
    - campaign is disgusting starting from upscaled CGI movies and bugged prologue to the cheat method of getting icons for your own profile and inconvenient stage selection for races
    - checkboxes for the objects like trees and more dumbass path-finding are annoying
    - no ranked yet for the RTS-game focused on competitive experience
    - reduction of violence in battles and sexual forms for favorite female characters as Jaina Proudmoore for,,, what? I don't know, honestly. For feminists?
    - battle net in Reforged is literally not made at all (requiring battletags to add friends, unhandy chat problems with hosting custom games)
    - old graphical engine, not allowing to extremely boost graphics either to level of Dota 2 or to Starcraft 2
    Minus 13 ponits.

    Overall:
    If we do simple mathematics then the final score will be... 10 + 4 - 13 = 1
    As you remember, I supposed this game is magnificent so the first rate is 10 and then we corrected this mark with its advantages and drawbacks. From my perspective, if Blizzard will solve even 5 problems with not optimized software then maybe the score of game will touch the point 6. Maybe... if it fully heals the fps, all freezes, lags, enables Gamma, delete cheats for campaing's icons, and make some minor improvements in graphics as well as makes good ranked and friend's menu... Yeah, that can be 6 potentially, if we will excuse their rights for custom maps and old engine. But, who knows, will they do that all and will we be satisfied with no more additional problems solved? I don;t think it's even potential. Maybe 2-3 core updates will be done and that's all, so the game will be 3-4 point of 10. Huh. So pessimistic prognosis, thus more able to be true.    … Expand

The UI wasn’t touched up, which they promised would be fixed, the cutscenes were still the same as they were back in 2002, with maybe better sound design. I got my refund thankfully because I will not pay $30 to play a game from 17 years ago with only better graphics to its name. If they want me to buy WARCRAFT III: REFORGED, they need to give fans what they saw at BlizzCon 2018. Please do the right thing here Blizzard Entertainment. Please fix this.     Technically this game is a mess. Low framerates in menus, frequent game crashes for many users, campaign missions have a chance to make you lose instantly, multiplayer matches have severe connection and desynchronisation problems in matchmaking and custom games.

    Stay away from this for now, if you're really interested in the game, keep an eye out on potential updates, see if the situation improves, then consider getting it if there are noticable improvements.

    As of right now, I wouldn't recommend this for anyone, not in this state.    … Expand

    I was thinking this is just review bombing, but then I bought this installed it, launched it, went to custom campaign to check campaign I was preparing for it and oh oh oh, wait wha... I did not found the button :O, and I tough zero ratings are only for edge lords but here we go I give it 0 because they even removed the button to play the game for me so it can not be 1 maybe 0,1 for nice menu

    a disappointing bug riddled mess, with graphical and UI defects being the least and escalating to full blown crashes at the worst end. Unplayable.

    Minor changes, high price and a lot of bugs. Blizzard has Lost a great oportunity to make a great videogeme here, like Resident Evil 2 remake.

    Warcraft 3 was a huuuge part of my childhood and one of the best games i have ever played, when reforged was announced I was more excited than i had ever been for a game before. I pre-ordered the game as fast as i possibly could, thinking that Blizzard couldn't possibly screw this up. It was the first game i ever pre-ordered and it will also be the last game i ever pre-order.     Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
