The modern AAA video game space has slowly transformed over the last decade into an absolutely vile industry focused on profits and meeting the bottom line while offering literally nothing of value to "customers", who are now simply seen as walking piggy banks. Blizzard is among the most egregious proprietors of absolute trash nowadays which is created solely to trick customers out of their hard-earned money and in reality, only please investors and rich elites. The push to churn out products based entirely on pure greed is now prioritized over even delivering a working game, let alone one worth the monetary cost. I have nothing positive to say about this game that I wouldn't be saying about the original Warcraft 3 instead; this "Reforged" edition completely lacks anything at all worthy of praise and is an absolute farce of a PC game release. I weep for what has become of the modern video game industry. Fortunately, I will never run out of high quality old games to play, as well as solid indie releases, modern and old, that are actually focused on selling a worthwhile product rather than stealing the customer's money based on false advertising. If people desire real change in this market, I only hope that more people can begin to adopt this mindset and actually boycott these sickening companies. There isn't a shortage of great video games to play. Don't buy this or any game unless it is a complete, working product worth the financial investment!     When I knew computers more than my dad in my early life, WC3 became my favorite game of all time. The best graphics, the best gameplay, and it got my '95 yr born self hooked. This remake was honestly butchered and I'm hopeful that the devs look at this development like someone in my position and gives a stronger product which everyone should get at least

    el problema principal del juego es que prometieron que la vieja campaña no iba a existir, osea, que iban a rehacer la campaña (cosa que ya no va a ocurrir nunca), otro problema son los crasheos y el constante uso del cpu por parte de que el menu principal esta usado por una aplicacion externa (google), el limite de tropas usadas(en 1 vs 1 400 tropas son muchas pero jugando con amigos y desconocidos ya es poco), las tropas tienen una limitacion de capacidad de respuesta de 30 fps(no de 60 fps como te habian mostrado en la blizzcon), el juego esta capeado a 30 fps (por mas que tengas 200 fps en el juego eso solo va a influir en la capacidad perceptiva, osea solo se va a mover mas desde una percepcion cosa que tambien petardea la pantalla si tenes muchos fps), sacaron las partidas personalizadas y si no tienes internet nisiquiera puedes jugar a la campaña aunque quieras( directamente te manda a warcraft 3 2002), las cinematicas son importantes por que son la esencia del juego conjunto con las unidades ( las unidades del warcraft reforge son peores que los mods creados por la comunidad, tanto en unidades de cada raza, paisajes, mares, rocas, unidades neutrales, efectos visuales,etc), las voces.... bueno tengo mucho mas para escribir pero como que ya el comentario va siendo muy largo :P ( sin contar que para entrar 1 partida en warcraft 3 original te tardaba aproximadamente unos 10-20 segundos y en el reforge te toma cerca de unos 5 minutos ahaha)

    Mod makers absolutely butchered by the "I own everything" rules. Game ended up being one of the worst games released by a company. They're making decisions I don't think even EA would have made. The voiceover could've been done better even by a couple of modders. Graphics ended up being worser than any remake or remaster I ever saw. And the old game just censored from the Earth by the ones who made the game. This company became toxic far more than imaginable, I would advise you to run away.

    Change the original one by a newer version with prettier and more shining characters but with no more technical improvements nor plot changes and you'll get this disappointment

Wc3 set the benchmark for many RTS games as well as moba which would not have existed without wc3. Your fans are the most loyal to the company and would have bought generations of products such as myself. I grew up playing sc and wc. I mean, its one thing for Starcraft II to have massive DRM, an excessively user unfriendly editor, and of course, cutting features and region locking and so on when it was first released, but it was a new game, and that eventually got kinda resolved. Sort of. But aside from taking away a lot of people from Wc3 for a while,I didn't actually think it was possible to break a game this badly. Sort of. But aside from taking away a lot of people from Wc3 for a while, and having me go elsewhere, it wasn't a huge deal.

    I knew that the Battlenet service wouldn't last forever. Blizzard was providing it for free, and since some patches broke old maps, not updating and keeping multiple versions was normal. But, at the very least, patches never outright broke the game.

I waited a few days after the release before buying it, don't care at all about the multiplayer mess, and I can live with spending 30 EUR on the game in its current shape, but I am painfully aware, that what I got should cost 15 EUR tops.     Blizzard had almost all the assets and multiple updated engines to choose from for this remake of the game. Heroes of the Storm is very close to what a Warcraft III remake could look like, with very well made heroes and even most of the unit models and buildings.

    Overpriced rubbish game that is too busy trying to take away your legal rights than actually make a finished game. Constant bugs and crashes while blizzard pretends that everything is fine.     I start playing warcraft 3 since 2003, I would go to pc cafe to play it everyday till I brought my computer and from 2005 till 2017 I played that game for several hours every single day till it died in my country and I couldn't play in other regions because of ping.

    You cant even use the cheat codes in a single player custom game against AI like you could more than 10 years ago! How do you remake the same game but worse 10 years later? Then charge people money for it?...Disgusting. I hope everyone at blizzard responsible for not letting us use cheats against the AI in custom games gets cancer and dies slowly.

    Well, I played it a little while and I couldn't carry it on anymore. Because it has no fun at all!!! The campaign is very dull and the units would stuck on the way when I try to do some micro-operates. In a nutshell, it is not a good game as it used to be.

    One of my first video game series was Warcraft... I have play to absolutely all the Blizzard Game... But since we have Activision in the party, Blizzard make stupid choice all time... And Warcraft 3 "Reforged" is the worst idea of Blizzard, the worst... If you wanted to only recreate Warcraft 3, then don't tell it Reforged...
    Also, Activision : GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE !

    Before I begin the bones of this review, I just want to say how much this game really means to me. It was one of the first games I ever played on PC and is the reason I’ve gotten into the genre of RTS in the first place. Ive logged hundreds if not thousands of hours into classic and seeing such a memorable piece brought to such a low standard is not saddening, it’s disappointing. AsideBefore I begin the bones of this review, I just want to say how much this game really means to me. Ive logged hundreds if not thousands of hours into classic and seeing such a memorable piece brought to such a low standard is not saddening, it’s disappointing. Aside from the endless technical issues (endless frame rate issues, problems accessing multiplayer, crashes, and many more), the true issues of this game are not with the game itself. In fact, the game itself if is probably a 5 or 6. Such issues can be fixed with later patches and updates as most games in the modern area are. However, the complete and utter disregard that this company has shown towards its fans is the truly most egregious thing that has happened in the industry in quite a long time. The company has completely ignored what core fans of this game are truly wanting. For a price of $30, the game should be given more than just a re-skin. What should have been delivered is what was promised: four hours of cinematic cutscenes, updated story element, updated unit animations, and many other great ideas. They have Not only failed to the expectations of their fans, but the expectations that the original members of Blizzard’s original development team strive for: a game that serves the player base. To top it off, the ridiculous changes to the EULA is my main drawback with this game. Custom content is one of the factors that gave nearly endless hours of replayability to classic. Of the many hours I’ve logged with this game, nearly 70% of it has been with user created contend in regards to custom campaigns and maps. This kind of innovation that could be found in the classic game has been nearly totally obliterated. Not only are custom campaigns utilizing bank data completely unplayable in the ways that they were intended, this company has discouraged all the wonderful, intelligent, and innovative content creators within the community from continuing projects that have years of investment and from creating new content from fear that their hard work will be stolen from them and used by this company for their own profit. It is such a disappointment to me that a once great company such as blizzard has done this to their fans and followers and all in the sake of profit. I have been a longtime fan of all things blizzard (WC3, Starcraft 1 and 2, WOW, HOTS, and others) despite the downward trend I have noticed in the company over the last couple of years. Because of this complete mockery of a childhood memory and a once great game, it has pushed me away from Blizzard indefinitely. I’d love to say RIP to this company, but it’s hard to wish peace on a group of people who have consciously done something so outlandish to one of the hallmarks of the video game industry. I’d love to give this game a zero, but out of the respect that I hold for the game that this shameful, money grabbing title is based off of, I am forced to give the title a one.… Expand

    I've played SC and WC3 both since beta and release. I started playing WC3 in 2002 and is currently and will always be my favorite game of all time. I also tried to stay away from the hate and I played many hours of reforging's ladder and can say with complete confidence that the hate going around from the community is 100% warranted. It's WC3 2002, classic with a reskinned version, that'sI've played SC and WC3 both since beta and release. I started playing WC3 in 2002 and is currently and will always be my favorite game of all time. I also tried to stay away from the hate and I played many hours of reforging's ladder and can say with complete confidence that the hate going around from the community is 100% warranted. It's WC3 2002, classic with a reskinned version, that's what you are paying for. The graphics aren't even good, many of the models are way worse than the original WC3, icons look terrible online. No ladder, no competitive play. The UI is horrible, the unit pathing is even worse, bugs everywhere, way too many bugs to name from 500 ping on a KR server. There are no dedicated servers. This is an absolute garbage fire of a game and the only positive I can see is that there are more players, playing the game now. That won't be sustained because anyone that is actually playing the game seriously is using classic graphics because of the clear disadvantage of using new graphics because of micro and macro bugs. Blizzard, I hope you seriously never recover from this. It's not that I don't want you to, but I don't really see it.

    There's no amount of apology that you can give for this stunt. The best you could hope for is to actually give us what you said you would and maybe many years after laying low, people will actually trust your products again. I can't believe they didn't realize that even LESSER stunts have completely and absolutely destroyed companies.    … Expand

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
